We had a great time. I would have paid the ticket price to see any one of the three bands. Grass Roots were fabulous - they played their favorites and some newer music - their voices were wonderful. Then the Buckingham's came on also wonderful, great voices and music. Couldn't have been better. Finally, Peter Noone and Herman's Hermits came on. I've never laughed so hard at a concert before, again music was great and Peter's voice is 100% wonderful. I know it must seem odd to the musicians that so many of us come to hear them but also sing along but that's what we did listening to them on a transistor radio! way back when. We'll make this an annual event. Well, worth any ticket price! Also, very accessible for anyone handicapped.

Once again this show provided a trip down memory lane through the music I listened to back in the 60's. Pleasant memories of high school, dances, and dear friends were shaken loose from the cobwebs in my mind. Since I went with my BFF since high school (over 53 years of friendship), there were a lot of "remember when" moments for us. We look forward to coming to this show every year. It is a chance to slow down and take a moment to remember when all we had to worry about was what dance was coming up and who we'd be going with. Definitely helps decompress from the crazy junk going on in the world today. The "meet & greet" after each group is also a great way to get your album autographed or just say hello to the groups.

Davy Jones was horrific and we would never go to see him again even if the tickets were free. He talked way more than he sang and told jokes that were not at all funny!!!!

This show had been at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrilville In.for over 25 years. Moved to the Venue this year due to Star Plaza being shut down. Great music by The Grass Roots, Buckinghams, and Pete Noone( Herman s Hermits). Energetic and lots of fun. Will be back next year for sure.

Saw Salute to the 60's for the 27th year in a row last Saturday night. That statement alone tells you what a great show it is. The Grassroots and the Buckinghams were both great as usual. Then Peter Noone with his Herman's Hermits comes on and the energy Peter puts out with all his great songs is amazing. His voice is even better than it was in the 60's and he seems to have a lot of fun doing the show. Thanks to Charlie Blum for all the years he has kept booking this show, even though they tore down our theater and he had to find a new one!

The Grassroots were great. They did all their hits and sounded fantastic. Nice tribute to the Veterans. Class act. The Buckinghams still have their terrific sound. The brass brought me back to the sock hops, and the tribute to Chicago was spot on. Nick's solo was a display of his many talents. Loved it. Peter Noone and the Hermits were spectacular!! They get better all the time. What showmen. The Tom Jones, Johnny Cash and Mick Jagger sets were phenomonal. Peter has an incredible range and is so talented. He kept the audience so engaged. He is truly a master entertainer. All three bands really enjoy what they do and it shows. I can't wait for next year.

The Buckinghams and Grass Roots are very good but I feel they need to spice up their show. Peter Noone and the Hermits really get you rocking - the flag in the back and the Hermits in the same clothes adds something to the overall appearance of the show. Of course, Peter is very funny and entertaining. I have been to many of their performances and always come away feeling good with fond memories of the 60's. I will be there again and again.

The bands sounded just like they did in the old days. Buckinghams rocked a couple of old Chicago tunes and they brought it! New Grass Roots lead singer Mark Dawson made Rob Grill smile in heaven. Peter Noone always puts on a fantastic show.

This was a great show with lots of old songs to bring back memories. The Grass Roots started it out. They were really good. Up next came the Buckinghams, my least favorite of the three bands. The finale was Peter Noone and Herman Hermits. WOW, what a great performance Peter puts on. His voice is unbeleivable and he is very entertaining. Loved the show!

Herman's Hermits was spectacular as always. The Buckinghams, (who I have seen a zillion times) have made some band changes for the WORSE. Where did Bobby and Tommy go?? This band is just marginal without them. The new guitarist? I don't even know what to say. Horrible...a little scary, to be honest. ..and his (?) guitar blinded us through most of the show. Such a disappointment. I know the Grass Roots lead singer Rob Grill passed away, but the new singer is just so-so. I have looked forward to this concert every year for about 15 years....not so much anymore. Next year, I'll just get there for the Hermits...and skip the other two.

The Herman Hermits were the best of the evening. The other groups were great because they brought back memories for me when I was a teenager. I will never forget the evening because the groups brought back memories for my wife as well. We both enjoyed the evening. Very enjoyable.

This was at least our tenth year trecking to Northern Indiana to see the Salute to the Sixties. The Buckinghams have been there every year and are by far the most terrific and together band on the "Senior Tour"! Carl, Nick, Bruce and the Buckinghorns are amazing! Peter Noone never fails to disappoint and this year was no exception. We were deeply saddened with the passing of Rob Grill. It is difficult to hear the Grass Roots perform the songs that Rob used to sing. It is just not the same. Nevertheless, as long as The Buckinghams return, so shall we....

THE MUSICE WAS GOOD. BUT THE STAGE SET UP WAS AWFUL, YOU COULDNT EVEN SEE THE DRUMMER, NO SECURITY WAS PRESENT, VERY FEW PEOPLE TO HELP YOU TO YOUR SEATS. THEY WERE SELLING POPCORN IN THE THEATRE, THIS WAS NOT A BALLGAME! THEY DID NOT ANNOUNCE THE ACTS AT ALL. NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED TO STAR PLAZA BUT IT RUINED MY NITE AND I BOUGHT VIP TICKETS. PROBABLY WON'T BE BACK AND I'VE BEEN GOING TO THESE SHOWS FOR 20 YEARS. SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED!!!!

The 60's salute was represented by 3 groups, the Grass Roots, Buckinghams, & Peter Noone and Herman's Hermits. The music was memorable and the sound was good. We preceeded the event with the Dinner package that was offerred. The food at the Star Cafe was excellent. I would recommend going to events at the Star Plaza this way since you get preferred parking, good food and service, and better seats!

The entire show was great. The Buckingham's excelled as usual, and Peter Noone was the ultimate performer. We paid plenty to sit in the VIP section, as we always do. This year security was non-existant as far as I am concerned. There were kids at the stage throughout the entire event and during the last 3-4 songs the aisles filled up with people from the "cheap seats" blocking our view and creating a safety hazard. If we had wanted to go to a free-for-all, wrestling would have been the choice. Obviously someone in charge was asleep at the wheel!

Peter Noone was as great as he always is. Looking young and bouncing around the stage singing. He comes to the all the edges of the stage and plays to everyone, not just the ones in the middle. He is energetic, funny, a great mimic and his voice just gets better and better each year. Peter also acknowledged the loss of his friend Rob Grill from the Grassroots. The Buckinghams were great as always. Very personable and also playing to the entire audience. Carl and Nick's voices are as good as ever. I was disappointed in the Grassroots. Of course, I knew that their star and lead singer had died last summer, Rob Grill, but I was really upset with the group that they didn't mention or acknowledge Rob at all during their performance. They did a nice job musically, but the distinctive voice and wonderful personality of Rob Grill was really missed.

Opening act, The Grass Roots, were okay. Not the same though with-out Rob. Miss ya Rob. Second act, The Buckinghams performed flawlessly, wanted more. Outstanding. Final act, Hermans Hermits with Peter Noone. First time seeing Peter perform. He's still got the pipes to perform those favorite classic songs as remembered from the 60's. Great job Peter! Over all a great concert.

First up were the Grass Roots....they had the audience from the first song. Fantastic lineup and the music was tight! Next was the Buckinghams with all the Buckingham hits and with a special CHICAGO tribute. Unbelievable big sound! And finally Herman's Hermits closed the show. Peter and the band had fun with the audience and played so many hits. Great memories, great bands an extremely fun night! I would highly recommend this show to any 60s music fans!

This show was absolutely awesome - as it is every year! The only downside was that Rob Grille wasn't able to be there - I think he was in the hospital.......but, the remaining Grass Roots,Buckinghams, and Davy Jones of the Monkees was absolutely awesome! My only suggestion would be that Davy talk less and sing more, more more!!!

The concert began with a too short set by the Grass Roots, unfortunately minus Rob Grill. Sound mix was bad - too much lead voice, too little harmonies and keyboard. Next came the Buckinghams, who did a nice job despite a sound mixer who was unable to give the group their characteristic sound. Where do these sound guys come from??? The show closed with Davey Jones, who talked and joked more than he sang - more like a nightclub act than a concert, and way too long. When he did sing, though, it was pretty well done. All in all, not the concert I expected, which it probably could have been with better sound mixing. I have been to several of these 60's reunions, and unfortunately this one was the weakest of them all.

My wife & I had a good time in the show. Listening to the songs reminds us of our teen years happy days. It brought back sweet & sad memories during our yesteryears. This was our 10th or 12th year for the Salute concert. We always have a good time, but this year were a little disappointed in the show. Rob Grill was ill, but his stand-in did a fabulous job! We really missed the Buckingham's drummer and lead guitar. The replacements were okay, but they did not have the stage presence of the previous musicians. Davey Jones was very good. We've not seen him before. However, we really enjoyed seeing Peter Noone and his Hermits and feel his performance is a better fit with the Grass Roots and the Buckinghams. Hope they come back next year!

Rob Grill just had surgery and wasn't able to make it... the Grass Roots still did a fine job - played about 1/2 hr.; The Buckinghams played about 45 minutes and brought their "A" game... Davy Jones... WOW.... he puts on a great show... he does a lot of stand up comdey - mostly silly stuff that you would expect from the 60's but it really made you feel like you got to know him. His voice is terrific... he is very kind.... a couple of girls brought him flowers and he acknowledged them quickly and set them aside... he really blew my socks off. He seems to be quite the nice fellow and I was crazy about him when I was 13 and I'm crazy about him at 56.
