holy... freakin'... wow, just wow. i missed these guys in '93. 21 years later they made up for it. 2 hours, 10 minutes on the stage. 20 songs, no lag. nothing left on the table. though maybe a few too many newer songs than older standbys. but i'm not complaining because the set list was choice. anytime you can see great musicians on a stage like this - the small room upstairs, not the main hall - take it.

I have been waiting to see them since 1989!!! Kevn Kinney and crew did not disappoint. Even their choice of opening bands (the black Cadillacs) were spot on. The sound in the venue was crisp and perfect...hopefully I won't have to wait as long to see them again!

Drivin N Cryin has been an Atlanta legend for over 30 years. I was amazed by how much energy Kevin Kinney projected, such a unique showman, he didn't jump around or even tap his feet, but his songs have a very real energy that was felt by everyone. Anyone will recognize Drivin N Cryin hits from the radio, but a live show presents Kevin's songs as 6 to 15 minute stories that take the listener along on a journey. Guitar slinger, Warner E. Hodges from Jason and the Scorchers, is a nice compliment to the band. Warner also played with Dan Baird's opening band, Homemade Sin. Dan Baird always puts on a great show. Dan has always been one of my favorite guitar slingers and songwriters, since around 1981 when I first saw The Georgia Satellites in dive bars around Atlanta. So much talent for the price of the ticket, we all got more than our money's worth. General admission allows you to get up as close as you can, wander, or find a seat. Good balanced sound in the Center Stage music hall, loud enough, but not too loud. You could tell that these are experienced musicians who wanted their audience to hear the music, not cover it up.

We had high hopes for the show, having grown up with the band's music and we were really disappointed. The lead singer's vocals were awful. Songs that should have been easily recognizable weren't, so we left because we weren't enjoying ourselves at all.

Both stars are for The Sweet Tea Project. Everyone in their band was good. Have to say though that Drivin & Cryin was totally forgettable. Worst performance I have ever been seen. Lead vocals were just not good. I've seen college bands that were way better. Would never recommend them!

Amazing Show! DnC puts on one of the best live shows unmatched by many. Their ability to get your feet stopping and smile going seems to come easy for them. They always give you their best and more!

I've seen DNC about 4 or 5 times in the last 10 years from fairly large venues to Southside Steve's. All of the shows have been good, but the show at the Tabernacle was by far the best DNC show ever. Could have been the new guitarist, Sadler Vaden who added alot more energy to the show, not to mention he his a great guitarist. Could have been that they played for nearly 3 hours. I'm not sure if the Tabernacle has a new sound system or they had a great sound guy for the show because that was the best sound I have ever heard at any venue I have ever been to. I went to the Ryman recently and saw Grace Potter. The show was great but the sound was no where near as good as the Tabernacle on Friday night. The Ryman is supposed to have accoustics that equal Carniege Hall. I'd never heard of Will Hoge until this show but the band was incredible as well.

My only regret is that this was my first time seeing them. And the Tabernacle is always awesome. I'll be back!

After seeing DnC at least 20+ times since they began back in the 80's, this was one of their best shows. They played a lot of the older stuff that wasn't mainstream which made it special and not just another drive by of the hits. They've got a new guitarist whom we all agreed seem to fill in the gaps and it was fun watching he and Kevin play off each others jams. Everyone i spoke with at the show was feeling the same. Nice job guys. When the hell is Eric gonna be done editing Scarred but Smarter. The fans want to see it.

Go out and see DnC. If they're in your city, go see them. I was psyched to see these guys, having last seen them about 20 years ago. The show was not well attended, but DnC could have easily played a much larger venue and rocked just as hard. This may be the best value ticket in classic rock circles. No tricks, no gimmicks...just an electric ass kicking. Go see them. You won't be disappointed.

Yes, Southern rock concerts are always timelessly fun but one band, Tailgunner Joe, made this event FANTASTIC! In a line up of great veteran bands, these guys (the young'uns, as they called themselves) took the experience to a whole new level of awesome. Not at all of the Southern rock genre, they had a level of youth and energy that had the crowd dancing and cheering! I am so glad I got to see a new band that is definitely on the way up!!

This show was very good. I used to see them in ATL growing up, and other than a few years (20 or so) nothing has changed with these guys! They still play good ol southern rock like very few bands have ever been able to. I would go see them weekly if they would just move down here to play. I would have given it a 4 star highly recommended but this was actually a free show so this has to be 5 star! I have seen them play in Athens at small bars, all over Atlanta, at 10,000 person arenas, and now with a few hundred in St. Pete at Jannus Live which is quickly becoming one of my favorite venues on the east coast. Loved this show, hope i get to see them again soon!

The evening was beautiful. Mostly full moon on a clear night. Jannus Live is a great venue to catch a show. Drivin n Cryin sounded as good as they ever did. Kevn Kinney's vocals were clear and strong. He told some interesting anecdotes that segwayed seamlessly into the upcoming song. The songs from the new album were an unexpected treat. I had not heard the new album yet but was made a fan of it by the end of the evening.

If you want you're rock hard and raw see it here. Stand up close to your favorite band anywhere in the room.Fast bar service, not a date night unless you both love the band. I love DNC,thanks ML,NYC

The band delivered a solid performance! Unfortunately the sound-man at Club Fire did NOT deliver a clear mix, making the overall sound muddled at best. I would definitely recommend seeing Drivin N Cryin, but perhaps at a different venue.

If anyone likes the CD's these guys put out, you will love them live. I loved the stories they shared as much as the music they performed.

Saw these guys Dec 30. They put on a great show. I can't promise that every show will be like that one, but these guys jammed for over 4 hours with both new and older material. I have never been to another concert where a band performed for that long. Kevn and the guys even hung around after the show (2:30 a.m.) to talk with crowd and sign cds and tshirts. I would highly recommend everyone to go see these guys.
