St Etienne was my soundtrack of later 90s. And just think in hear they pull my skin like a chicken. They played a mix of older anthems with new sound from the last LP. People tuned crazy and for first time in US I saw a 3 encore final. Awesome.

Its been a very long time since Saint Etienne appeared in Los Angeles but the wait for the fans of this group was rewarded in a masterpiece show. Songs from the beginning to 2012 were performed Saturday night @ Henry Fonda theater. Its surprising that the audience was not full capacity, but being the last show in North America on this tour the crowd was delirious. An additional vocalist accompanied Sarah Cracknell on vocals. The background projection show provided a visual treat to the outstanding songs of Saint Etienne.

I've been a fan of Saint Etienne ever since hearing Continental and Stormtrooper in Drag. I was so looking forward to finally seeing and hearing Sarah live in Seattle my home city. She was apparently getting over a cold but spent most of her time making excuses for her singing or lack of and whomever was was managing the sound system made the experience even worse. Both Sarah and the Neptune theatre was a total let down and can honestly say was the worst concert of my life!

Let me say I love Love Love Saint Etienne With that said me and a friend of mine went to the show with great anticipation, From the moment the show started the sound was awful, and I don t mean just a little off I mean you couldn t even tell what song they were playing until the ends of each song, I noticed the sound man checking every once in a while but still did not change the way it sounded. I walked around went upstairs and still the sane thing the sound was awful and it didn t seem to faze the band as it looked like they didn t even know it sounded that bad I ve seen other shows at The Neptune that have had the same problem most notabably The Church last month seemed like it was hit or miss with each song But this was way worse than that So needless to say we left not very impressed ./

Show was suppose to begin at 8pm. DJs came on at 8:30. Roadies came on and off the stage several times. Band did not come on until close to 9:30. Lead singer had a cold, so stumbled on a few songs. Sound of band was turned up so it would drown her vocals. After encore, show ended at 10:30. Very disappointed, but I guess decent for $25.

Sarah sang as well as she ever has. Totally different than when I saw them at the House of Blues over 10 years ago. Back then she had a backup band. This time it was Bob and Pete. Song selection was great, but it could have been longer. Still very enjoyable and I hope they tour again.

Sorry, but snooze fest. I was really looking forward to this show and it was very lackluster. They have so many albums that have so many singles, yet they only played a handful. They also played for a short set. We haven't seen them perform her in years and I was expecting more.

GREAT concert - they played all the big hits, a few obscure and awesome tracks, and totally delivered! Sounded great live as well!

After putting out the best pop album this year, it's nice to see Saint Etienne is also in fine form on the stage after far too long an absence. Sarah and the boys sounded better than ever, and the song selections were a great mix of classics and new material that kept everyone dancing and singing along for 80 minutes.

Normally, you want to put a bullet in your head for coming early to get a good placement. The opening acts are not entirely great. Maria Del Pilar was fantastic! Never heard of her and was so very surprised. Great times, great show. Saint Etienne. So much can be said about SE but to drive the message home, nothing beats having these guys here in the states. Superb sound, great showmanship (Sarah is a classy lady), the group are beyond comprehension. Stunning! Epic even. Loads from the new album and all the greats from their collection. Just enough to treat the ears and eyes. This will be a concert I will never forget. Fonda Theatre? Great space, cozy LA? eh, not so much....

We have wanted to see Saint Etienne for many years but they have never come to Cleveland. Because of this, we decided to go to Boston to see them. It was well worth the trip! They played songs that spanned their entire career with a focus on the best songs from Words And Music By Saint Etienne. They sounded great and Sarah's vocals were spot on. We were fortunate to catch up with them after the show--they are the nicest people. Bob was generous with his time, Sarah was a hoot and Pete had tons of energy. We will definitely travel to see them again!

I've been a Saint Etienne fan for over a decade (as many of us there were) and this show lived up to every other time I've seen them. I liked the stripped down band and Sarah was more lovely than ever. Great setlist! Freezepop was also a treat - I'd seen them once before years ago and their sound and performance has come a long way.

Instead of a full band there were just two guys in front of synths and samplers with two vocalists...so it came across as more of a DJ with a live vocalist, which is always underwhelming to me. Nonetheless, it was still an enjoyable show. I'd see them again, but only if they bring a full band with them.
