Openers Jason Adamo and Keating Simon were both FANTASTIC! Very different but both great musicians with awesome voices. And of course, Pat and the band are so great. This is a band made of amazing musicians on their own and when they come together...... WOW!!!!!! Al Walsh, Jonathon Williams - these guys have been around since the beginning and you can tell how wll they merge together. Such a great show to be at.

Colton and his band mates put on a wonderful show laced with his recent and upcoming tunes, well sung and well performed by the fine musicians that took the stage before a crowd that should have been bigger for a performer of this quality. Despite this smallish crowd, Colton greeted the audience with a warm jovial selflessness and admiration. His band mates showed that they are a very competent and knowledgeable group that understood how to entertain an audience, regardless of their number. They were also previewing music from their next release due in February. I can t wait and hopefully this new music and a growing fan base will continue into the future. They definitely deserve to play in stadiums with a larger gathering of followers. The opening act Bascom Hill also played a grand set of their tunes and the overall evening was a joy to behold. The only other time I've seen Graham Colton was earlier in 2010, but that was just acoustic show in support of NeedToBreathe at 1st Avenue. The show at Varsity had a lot more punch.

The local band cancelled last minute. No big deal. Bonded by Blood opened up and got the party started. LaZarus A.D. kept things rolling. Their new CD just happened to be released the day of the concert. Death Angel played until almost 11:30. They had a great mix of songs from 1982 to their current album. The show was amazing. High energy from start to finish. Death Angel does not get the credit that they deserve. I think the Big 4 should share the spotlight with other thrash metal pioneers such as Death Angel, Testament, OverKill, etc. I don't think Death Angel has ever released a questionable album and should be regarded as one of the best and most entertaining thrash metal bands out there. Great show guys! I can't wait for you to come back. I was a little disappointed with the crowd. Too few people there, but then again it was questionable weather and a Tuesday night. Thank you for a great show!

Phenomenal show if you're a Little Feat fan, or New Orleans Jazz/Rock for that matter. The Variety Playhouse folks were warm and unobtrusive. These veteran New Orleans sidemen, along with Paul and Fred brought their A game. Not a packed house but they played like it was. Tippitina encore was icing on the cake. Great venue.

This was a great show all for a very worthy charity. Alice rocked the house down with a full stage show and a great set list. The snake, the guillotine and Frankenstein Alice made the band even more fun to watch. The Solid Rock Foundation is a great charity for inner city youth. What an great band Alice has put together, Chuck Garric, Ryan Roxie, Tommy Henriksen, Glen Sobel and the great new addition Nita Strauss. Not only does Alice have a great band but his family is amazing. Really cool to see so many amazing artists come together to support a great cause. Frankenstein Alice was fun to watch. Nils Lofgren, Jonny Lang, Jack Blades, Joe Lynn Turner, Glen Sobel, and Andrew Johns put together a blues set that was amazing. put together a blues set that was amazing. I have seen this show many times before and it always rocks the house down. Alice always amazes me on both a personal and professional level!
