Outstanding musicianship and showmanship with a sense of humor. My 8yo daughter was fascinated and sat on the edge of her seat for the entire show. I loved it too :)

A stunning event. Their precision, skill, and artistry were amazing. The lighting and movement added a great visual element to the performance. Their humor made it possible for the audience to feel a closer connection with the performers. I was mesmerized!

The Yamato drummers gave a phenomenal performace. Not only did they dazzle with the rhythm and beats of their drums, they performed with vocals, some kind of miniature cymbals and guitar-like instruments. They were animated, comedic, graceful, and demonstrated some athleticism that would make Tony Horton of P90X proud. They even got the crowds going with audience participation. It was a very powerful show. Glad I was able to see it.

We did not know much about this type of Drumming. That was the apoint of attending... to learn more about it. We were totally impressed by the sound, the vibrations, the musicality and most important: the RYTHM!! It was mesmerizing, you get lost in the sound and when you think you have seen and heard enough... they come up with better variations and higher levels of expertise. The technique is fascinating and it looks that they are masters of this art. It brings your inner primitive instincts of beating a drum. It is truly fascinating to listen the children get excited with the interpretations.

This show was mind-blowingly awesome. Anyone, not just fans of Taiko drumming, would enjoy this high-energy show. Unlike other Taiko shows I've seen, the Yamato performers incorporated audience interaction and humor into their performance, making it a lot of fun as well as an exciting and unique cultural experience. In addition to the drums, Yamato uses the traditional Koto and Shamisen stringed instruments for one or two numbers-- and they play the Shamisen in a most un-traditional way! They rock that thing! Everyone at the show from young kids to the elderly seemed to be having a blast. I would recommend this group to those who love Taiko, Japanese culture, and any type of music, or to people who are just looking for something "different" to do. Totally worth the ticket price. How many things can you say THAT about?

This taiko performance was fun, exilerating, and engaging! What a crowd pleaser! We are old farts but we were rocking along with everyone else in the audience to these young, talented, strong and awesome performers. Recommend seeing them if they come to your town.

My wife and I have seen this show three times. (It's different every time.) Fabulous musicians and show men. With the occasional bit of humor.

You would think that banging a huge drum would keep you entertained for a couple of minutes or so and you wonder what sort of variation will keep you interested. Well let me tell you that these Japanese drummers are quite creative. They keep everything fresh and funny and interesting. The music is fabulous. You will laugh yourself silly. The energy of the performers is infectious. Worth going to whenever you can. These are first class performers and entertainers.

This is one of those events where it's actually relevant to say "fun for all ages" I was there on a date and thought it was amazing. Yet it's also great for families with small children.

Fantastic show. As well as the usual power of the taiko drums they also had a lighter side and some genuinely funny moments. They even got the audience involved by the end. My only issue is with the auditoriiun itself. Lisner is not quite up for the big drums. Sound quality degraded significantly with noticable reverb when they were playing the three largest drums. I would absolutely see them again, but would hope for a more appropriate location.

The performance was terrific. The drummers were incredible (which I expected) but they were also extremely entertaining. The performance was varied and therefore extremely interesting.. I especially liked that the group includes both men and women--- all of whom now their stuff!

I turned 59 this year. I have been a performer most of my life. Yamato's "Gamushara" ranks as one the top three shows I have ever attended. The professionalism, talent, stamina, and timing demonstrated during the performance pushed the limits of human possibility. What a joy to see what we as a species are capable of achieving...and sharing.

Amazing doesn't even begin to describe the experience of watching Taiko drummers. The artistic elements were seemless, with easy switches between serious to humorous moments.

The Yamato performance was truly an entertaining experience. The percussive skill of the performers and the team interaction was superb. What made the event very special was the personality of the performers and the audience interaction.

Yamato - the Japanese Drum Group was absolutely amazing. The young talented musicians where breathtaking. My eyes did not know which performer to focus on the most. None stop action with the drums. Not earpiercing. The music vibrated throughout your body. It was nice to see children in the audience enjoying the show. Music mixed with comic relief is a must see for te entire family
