He played all acoustic guitars, never bought strat. like he did in the past. That why I give him 4 stars only. Over all enjoyable and my wife liked it. 2.5 hour long. At the gift section, the CDs were only $10 which goes to charity foundation, you can't beat it.

Show ran almost 3 hours! An incredible show. We were on our feet almost the entire time dancing, clapping, "Hey-Heying", just having the best time. Their level of muscianship is outstanding. The interaction between band and audience was seamless - really felt part of the big, happy party. LOVE this band! People travel from all over to see them - if you've ever seen them you'll understand why (even had a man from France fly to New York specifically to watch the concert). They played some new songs, but dug out some of their older songs, so it was a nice blend. They played from their hearts and I SO very much appreciate the music they bring to the world!

You wouldn't be reading this if you didn't know the music of Blackmore's Night, so let's just pass what it is and get right to what it is live. In two words: it's amazing. From their opening act of bagpipes and ocarina, to watching Ritchie switch from electric guitar to herdy-gerdy routinely, you get everything you would have dreamed of from seeing this band live. Unlike most concerts, this feels more intimate due to Candace's casual comments and interactions with band members and the crowd. It seemed as though they were just making up a set list as they went along, with Ritchie often saying "let's do that French one", which Candace would then explain the origin of the song, and rock it out. They also took a lot of joy in starting out some songs with acoustic, authentic instruments to give a demonstration of how the song may have sounded hundreds of years ago, before they rock out with the unparalleled, unmatched, true Blackmore's Night experience. They just need to come back to the US more!

Complaint 1-seating. I didnt know there was reserved seating in front of the stage and I purchased my Gen Admin tix thinking i could do pass the line and be upfront. I WAS GREATLY UPSET when I saw this wasnt the case and I feel I showed up hours early for nothing. Complaint 2-What happened at the end that the band just left? Was there a time limit on how long they could play by the HoB? Other then those complaints they were one of the best live bands i have ever seen! They looked great and the show was great but the end through me for a loop and i would have loved to have heard Ghost of a Rose, my favorite song. I will try to see them every time come to the Cleveland area.

Captivating...It wasn't what I expected, it was so much more. There aren't words to describe how we felt when we left this concert other than honored that we were there to see it and hear it in person.

I went to this concert not knowing what to expect. I had not seen or heard any of Blackmore's Night music except for a few bits on their website. Of course I knew of and appreciated the guitar talents of Richie Blackmore. I was extremely pleased with the music and the fact that they played for over two hours. There were pluses and minuses PLUSES - Superb mix of instruments and voices, they even used a hurdy-gurdy in couple of songs! The harmony of a violin and a bagpipe, something that I had not witnessed before, tremendous. The band was tight, the mix of the music was great and the sound was superb. The very talented guitar play of Ritchie Blackmore coupled with the tremendous voice of Candice Night was great to witness. Candice Night has a superb voice. The onstage presence of Candice Night was great with a good bit of humor, she is really quite funny. Musically a superb performance!!! A very enjoyable and fun night!!! NEGATIVES - Concert was to start at 8pm. At 8pm one of the band members came on stage and played a number of songs with various instruments. While enjoyable, that plus the intermission being over a half hour long lead to a very late night. I love the Cleveland House of Blues, it is one of my favorite venues but I truly don't understand why they do this on a weekday night. With Blackmore's Rainbow playing for over two hours, that surely should satisfy all in attendence. I had traveled 3 hours to Cleveland. I have done this twice and will not do it again on a weekday due to the lateness of the evening. I think that they are actually losing customers this way, a number of people sitting near me left before the concert had concluded due to the lateness of the night. Speaking of the conclusion, it was a bit odd. The band members left the stage leaving Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night on stage. There was no indication that the concert was ending. Ritchie Blackmore stopped playing and left the stage and Cadice Night kind of looked around and walked off stage. A bow by the band would have been a bit more fitting. Lastly, while I realize that Ritchie Blackmore is into quite a different genre of music these days a short medley of Smoke on the Water and Man on the Siver Mountain would have been great and I think would have brought the house down. He did play a Rainbow song but why not play the big hit. I rated it at 3 stars due to the negatives listed, not because of the music, the music was superb and seeing them is highly recommended.

Blackmores Night plays rare USA concerts. Mostly play play in Europe to sold out crowds. This was my second concert, first being in Chicago about 5 years ago. Although they performed more songs in Chicago this concert by far was more fun and personal. Candice is an awesome singer and lovely to behold. Ritchie Blackmore...what can you say, a musical genius. These guys renewed my hope in current music for beautiful melodys, Candy's awesome lyrics and singing. The Cleveland crowd again proved itself as the rock and roll capital of the world.

This was my first experience seeing Blackmore's night live. I was impressed with the quality of the play and Candice's voice was perfect. There was some fun between sets and Ritchie was such in good spirits that he even gave a few brews away to some lucky front row guests. Ritchie was happy it seems to play whatever instrument was slung over him (even opened the concert playing a hurdy gurdy of all instruments.) Ritchie did on a couple of occasions break into some signature guitar riffs and solo's--a treat for us grey-haired Deep Purple fans. Candice keep the show alive and moving along. Her interactions with Ritchie were interesting and entertaining. You never heard what Ritchie said but he was always provided information to Candice when needed in his reserved, quiet way. I normally see Celtic groups, so from a energy standpoint this show was louder and with an energy more associated with rock n rolls acts. What makes Blackmore's Night unique is that he blends in the period music sounds and instruments very well.

Last time I saw Ritchie Play was about 24 Years Ago, with Deep Purple on their "Perfect Strangers" Tour - In Hollywood Florida, at the Sportatorium. I'm missing them already. I can't wait for them to return. I haven't felt magic like that since I was very young. I'm forever changed, and enlightened. Blackmore's Night is one of the best concerts I've been to. They are forever in my Heart, and my admiration for them is without words. May the "Fires at Midnight" burn forever in our souls. K - : )-

I've seen Ritchie Blackmore with Deep Purple and watched videos of him with Rainbow ,the man has an ear for talented singers he had 4 with Deep Purple(counting Glenn Hughs) and 3 with Rainbow ,and Candice Night tops them all !!!,She has a voice like no other and that's coming from a man who named his son after Ian Gillion after hearing him sing Child in Time.and when Candice does that song it's just plain awsome. He was in his realm that night in Cleavland ,playing flawlessly you can tell he loves what he is doing. And Candice oh my god she sounded so good the way the two of them play off each other is like no other I just can't say enough about this band. The only negative thing I can say is they have such a great portfolio that they cannot play it all so your always leaving wanting more

So disappointing because I really do like the music of Blackmore's Night. The Paramount as a venue was fine. The band was different story. It took a long time for the band to take the stage after set up was complete and then there was absolutely no flow to the show. Long stops between songs while they seemed to have to convince or coax Blackmore into performing. It was like witnessing a domestic dispute in person. We left early. I bought those tickets for my boyfriend and he so looked forward to the evening. I found myself apologizing the entire ride home.

The show itself was a very memorable one. Richie himself was more active and verbal than I remember him at other shows he performed it. The rest of the band was also most excellent. The venue was okay but a bit cramped for space. I would have enjoyed a wee bit more room. The seat I had was better than it looked when I booked my ticket . It would have been better if the person in front of me wasn't so tall. I was craning around him to better see what was going on. It was however a nice and warming atmosphere when things got Rockin' Next time I am up in Huntington for a show I hope to get there earlier so I can check out some of the sights and eateries.

This was a great show. My wife is a bigger fan of the band than I, although I do enjoy their music also. Their show was very relaxed and felt like they were as interested in having fun with us instead of treating the fans as if we purchased a "service" from them. Made the show more "connected". I do wish, however, they would have chosen more of their songs that I do know. They didn't play any of my 3 favorite songs that I actually know the words to but I still had a great time. The crowd is generally older and mellow so it makes for a good time. We had seating in the fourth row on the floor. That was another story. The rows were WAY too close and you felt like you knees were against your chest. If someone had to get up and they were sitting in the middle of the row, EVERYONE had to leave the row to let them out. I found that uncomfortable but it is a really cool venue to see a show.

First I will say I really enjoy this style of music. I could listen to Candace's voice all day long. Beautiful quality. The main problem I had with the show was the pacing. Started out strong and then they went to a lot of slow stuff which took the energy right out of the building. I love the melodies of the slow material, but way too much. But I recommend the show.

I did not care for the renaissance opening act nor for Richie Blackmore's silly behavior. However, this show was great because of Candice Night. I wish they would have a show with just her. I don't need the keyboard and drum solo also. The drum solo was uninteresting, annoying and left me with a severe earache.

Watching/listening to them on YouTube doesn't compare to seeing them in person. If you like their music, go see them in person...you will not be disappointed!! I travelled to Harrisburg, PA from south-west Ohio to go to the concert, and I am so glad that I did!! My cousin and I are already talking about going again next year. We also met other concert-goers after, and had the chance to sit and chat with them. Wonderful music, amazing musicians, and friendly fans...what else could you ask for?? OH!! And the chance to wear Renaissance costumes!!! Will definitely attend again in the future!!!

What can I say - if you've never been to a Blackmore's night show you are doing yourself an incredible disservice. I f you're not familiar with them, let me start by saying that veteran guitar God Ritchie Blackmore and his lovely wife Candice Night have put together an amazing blend of renaissance, Celtic and rock, very tastefully peppered with various flavors of old world and European music. The show was fantastic! Candace's voice never ceases to amaze me. Her beauty and grace fall second only to her mesmerizing voice. She sings like no one else can! Ritchie is amazing not only on guitar, but several other instruments as well. He plays the lute, mandola, hurdy gurdy and a variety of other unusual instruments. The musicianship among the rest of the band is stellar. The show was great as usual, (I've seen them 5 times - not an easy task considering the band plays very few dates in the U.S.) Blackmore's night shows are more like a party than a concert. There's always a lot of interaction between the band and the audience. Ritchie has had a reputation in the past for being somewhat moody and introverted, but NOT with this band! He truly seemed like he was having a blast! Candace jokes with him and the audience from time to time, all adding to the entertainment of the event. Personally, I would go to see them any chance I got. I own all of their albums and live concert dvds. The show in Stroudsburg last Friday was over two hours long! They didn't seem like they wanted to stop, and no one wanted them to. My only complaint involves the opening act. They were a great instrumental trio, but never told the audience who they were! I even went out to the lobby to see if they had cd's for sale but there were none to be found. All in all it was great night of music, and if you don't own a Blackmore's night cd, I strongly urge you to go out and but one or all of them!

I was raised on Rainbow, Deep Purple, and later on Blackmores Night. My Grandpa and dad introduced me to it as a kid born in 1990. I loved all the music that Ritchie has created. His guitar would tell such a magnificent story in each and every one. My dad and I flew all the way from California to Colorado, to then fly to Pittsburgh and drive our way to Stroudsburgh to see him. It was a moment I will never forget. Being three generations of Blackmore fans, and sharing this moment together was more than a memory of a lifetime. My only complaint is that he didn't bring out his famous stratocastor and rip up some of those amazing rifts at the very least. Other than that, what an extraordinary performance and show. Truly amazing.

As I get older so does the rest of Ritchie Blackmore's fans. But my 13 year old son and a few other kids were there. My husband introduced me to the band when they began 20 years ago. My son was born knowing who Ritchie Blackmore is and listening to Blackmore's Night with his dad and me. You would never know Ritchie is 70 years old. Definitely the best guitar player in the world! No one makes a guitar sound as sweet as he does. My son was to concerts when he was a baby and when he as 3 years old. I'll never forget. The room was completely silent and Candace was just about to speak when my 3 year old son yelled Yeah! and Candace laughed.

I'm an old fan of Ritchie's, but this was the first time I saw him in Blackmore's Night. Previous times were with Rainbow in Europe and that was quite a few years ago. Ritchie is the best guitar player on earth in my opinion and he still has his way of making melodies work. Also the rest of the band was great. With my wife we drove 12 hours from Georgia to see them play and I'm glad we did! I was a little bit disappointed Ritchie did not pull his Stratocaster during this show, but I enjoyed his play nevertheless.

Overall the show was very enjoyable. It would have been nice to hear more of their songs and if Ritchie performed more of their non-lyrical melodies. Candice's voice was spot on, though she did talk way to much throughout the night. I love the banter between her and Ritchie. A few of the audience members were somewhat obnoxious with call-outs to them both and there was even one that handed her a gift bag and had to explain the contents which took way to much time away from the show. I have seen this band every time they have come to town and would definitely see them again, and again, and again.

I have seen Blackmores night every year since they started when they play in New York. They are extremely tight and superior artists. Ritchie as always is superb. He has become such a fine composer and continues to lead the band with his musicality and instrument Mastery. Candice is a well rounded singer and never seems to miss any notes as she compliments Ritchie's playing as well as the band superbly. The only issue I have is aside from there was no encore, the song set needs to change. Since I have been going for 10+ years, they play the same songs all the time. I mean the songs are good, but they never mix the set. Soldier of Fortune needs to go. They have 8+ albums plus Deep Purple catalog. They play from a varied 30 songs only. Please change it up I missed 2013 tour so in 2 years they have same list. In addition, Ritchie you must do more electric guitar through the show. You do give a variety of guitars and they sound magnificent, but the electric needs to be rotated thru the concert.

I only attended this show because I was told about the Birchmere by a friend and knew I would be in the area on this night. Of course, being the baby-boomer rocker that I am, had heard of Ritchie Blackmore, so I thought I'd check them out. Well......let me say I was totally entertained by these talented musicians and vocalists. They rock in a unique way that few groups could ever match.....it's no wonder they have a cult following, of sorts. Candice Night is just awesome....she's the real star of the show. She has a great vocal range, a super rapport with the audience, and just happens to be beautiful as well! The entire band was so talented musically I feel bad I can't name them all...but they do have a website so check them out.

The first two were in Charlotte, NC. I was delighted to find that my favorite guitarist and his music mates were going to be virtually in my backyard. That this was the first concert of their season was a big plus; you could tell they were fresh and ready to play! They typically play very few engagements in the US, and then only every other year. Ritchie was in rare form. I've never seem him so engaged with the audience. He has a lot of fans who still love him but don't care a great deal for his current musical direction. Still, they go see him, simply because he's . . Ritchie Blackmore. Some of them may have been disappointed because he only played his Strat for two songs, and those, he made everyone wait for some before bringing them on. When he took his Strat off, a fellow beside me said - quietly - "No, don't take the Strat off . . . " But Ritchie handled the thing well, at one point getting hilarious, although you'd have to have been there to really get it. I've quoted the encounter below in the Favorite moment section. The Birchmere was an excellent venue choice. I'd never heard of it, which seems a bit embarrassing because of the significant history of the place. I don't have a single complaint about the experience. I really appreciated the fact the place is a dinner theatre. The service was quite good, considering the large number of people in the place. Those folks run their feet off! Overall, a very good time!

Blackmores Night is my favorite band. With all the typical music that's played on the radio nowadays basically cannot compare to this bands talent and heart they put into their songs. Not to mention all the medieval instruments used creates a sound that no other band has. Their music is pure beautiful and flawless. My boyfriend Toms first show. He was amazed. After a very brief opening act of about 10 minutes, we had to wait almost a full hour for the main act to show up. Given that the stage was already set up, that's way too long, and the crowd got pretty restless. The musicians in Blackmore's Night were very good, however, this show needs a bit more variety. Too many ballads in a row. Overall the show was pretty good, but the setlist needs to be changed around to vary more.

This was my 2nd time seeing Blackmore's Night. I saw them a few years ago in Delaware and was eagerly anticipating seeing them again. The show started out with a bang as they launched into the title cut from their latest album, Dancer and the Moon, and extending it by playing 2 other songs with it before ending. I thought what a great show this will be, but then Blackmore left the stage and Candace then asked, "Where's Rtichie-oh there he is drinking a beer. Are you finished? Do you want to come back and play something?" This happened constantly throughout the 1st half of the show with Blackmore and Night constantly going on and off stage and resulting in many delays between the songs. Sometimes it seemed like the band was left to improvise, which was ok because they are really good. But it's not really what should happen. Most of the songs were the same ones they performed at the last show and so even though the performance was good, I was kind of disappointed because they hardly played anything from their newest album and they have such wealth of material to choose from that they didn't have to play the same stuff . Candace explained that Ritchie chooses the material, so maybe he's just getting old and lazy. I hate to say that because the guy can still really play, but he should consider that fans don't want to hear the same 15-20 songs at every performance. This was the 1st stop on their 2014 tour and they just didn't seem to be ready. Either Blackmore wasn't in a very good mood that night or he needs an attitude adjustment. If I hadn't seen the show in Delaware, I obviously would have been more satisfied.

Blackmore's Night ROCKS! Their music is entertaining and easy to listen to - and they completely captivated the entire audience during their show! Candance Night's vocals are amazing - as are the guitar solos of Richie Blackmore! It is clear to see that they have a passion for music, and really love to play and entertain! I can see how people follow this band!

I've been a Blackmore fan since the mid1970s., since I was 10 years old. I was not interested in rock till I heard Ritchie on Made in Japan. I was awestruck. Saw Ritchie in 1982 with Rainbow (5stars) and 1985, 1990 and 1993 with Purple (5 stars). On with this gig, the venue was sold out. Most people were there to see Blackmore guitar god and handful were there to see Blackmore's Night. Everyone did understand that it was not a rock show and Renaissance music was on the menu. The absolute highlight was when lights went down and Ritchie came on. Place went nuts and Ritchie was clearly animated pumping his arms to his adoring fans. Hair stood up on my neck waiting for what was next.....well that was basically it. Blackmore's Night put on a very competent show. Highlights were the violin player and female Soprano vocalist. Candice Night has a pro quality voice and did a nice job. The Fender strat came out for two songs and Ritchie played some nice leads. They did play the Purple tune Soldier of Fortune....it was ok but lacked the soul of the original. I fact, it was really not the same song just the words remained the same. I would also describe the renaissance music as having a pop flair. In reality, it was Candice's show as Ritchie rarely took center stage and was in the background. The show ended with some excitement but the band did not come back for an encore which was disappointing. In final analysis it was a nice evening. But, Ritchie being Ritchie jettisoned the encore. I don't think anyone in the sold out audience expected a rock show. But I think most were a bit surprised how little we got from Ritchie who was supposed to be the main attraction. I think by simply playing a classic purple or rainbow tune or even one killer solo as the encore would have met everyone's expectation and made for a great night.......one tune Ritchie!

Nearly three hours passed, but felt like minutes. Magic minutes. The band had not been on stage for quite a long time, and were obviously happy to be back. All were given plenty of space, all of them were brilliant. Ritchie was happy, communicating with band and audience, and he played totally fantastic, as always, I might add. All in all it was fun, romantic, lovely,... and, magic.

This was their first concert of the tour, so still a few bugs to iron out, but a fabulous concert anyway. Candace was spot on with her vocals and kept the crowd engaged, the minstrels were in top form. And Richie was, as usual, phenomenal. A consummate musician, he took the spotlight when appropriate but faded into the background when that was called for as well. The fiddler/violinist was also quite good. The drummer lost the beat a bit or maybe it was me losing the beat or missing the timing changes. My only complaint was the sound. Richie was a bit too much in the background for many of the songs, and the fiddle/violin was too much out in front for my tastes. I just wish I could have seen them later in the tour in a German castle. For anyone who goes to the Birchmere, seating is not assigned, so arrive early for good seats.

First, the Ugly: Something happened with the sound system, creating a buzz that annoyed not only us, but apparently Ritchie could hear it on the stage. Given the accomplished artist that he is, I could totally understand how that throws you off. Everyone took a brief break, and the situation was resolved. Although it was a small audience, it lent itself to being a more intimate atmosphere. I was happy to see that there were quite a few people in garb; unfortunately we were outnumbered by the mundanes. Of course, none of this was within the control of the band, so fault them not. The Bad: Whether it was because of the above reasons or something known only to them, I was very surprised that, despite the raucous insistence of the audience, the band did not return for even one encore song. Many of us were fully expecting either "Ghost of a Rose" or "Dandelion Wine" for an encore farewell, and there was a mix of surprise and disappointment when the crew came onstage and began to break everything down. This was our very first time seeing them, and it was disappointing that my wife didn't get to hear "Ghost", her favorite song. The Magnificently Good: Ritchie could make a guitar present Hamlet's soliloquy. My wife and I both agree that we could sit for hours, just listening to him "play around" on the strings. The man is a genius. Candice's voice is powerful, compelling, entrancing and captivating. The range of emotions she can elicit with her voice is amazing; you are transported to any place in your heart that she wishes to take you. The keys, the backup vocals, the violinist, the drums, the bass - this band is tight. Each member is absolutely passionate about their music, which is an important element that cannot be taught; it has to happen naturally. When it is this apparent to the audience, it is contagious. The deep friendship amongst the band members is also contagious; although it was our first time seeing them live, we felt as if we were hanging out with a bunch of dear friends. Would we go see them again? In less than half a heartbeat...

What a great show. Played for 2 1/2 hours. Some old, some new & of course concert staples like Home Again, Under a Violet Moon & Soldier of Fortune. Candace was, as always, in great voice & Ritchie was as good as ever. The new drummer & violinist blended in seamlessly & I was pleased to see the addition of a new background singer, who also played the french horn. You wouldn't think the addition of a background singer would mean much but adding another voice really did make a difference to the overall experience. Besides the above mentioned their set included, among others, Locked Within the Crystal Ball, Queen for a Day 1 & 2, World of Stone, Toast to Tomorrow, All the Fun of the Fayre, Wind in the Willows, The Peasant's Promise, Diamonds & Rust, Greensleeves, The Circle, Loreley, Fires at Midnight & finally Smoke on the Water as a tribute to Jon Lord. The only negative was the wonky speaker for the last 20 minutes or so. It kept cuttng off & got a bit annoying at the end. All in all an awesome show & I can't wait to see them again.

This group had fun on the stage - and so did the rest of us - and how. We were truly entertained for almost 4 hours. This is best live concert I have ever attended! Blackmore's Night - THANK YOU!

This concert was vocally, instrumentally and visually stunning. We could have watched and listened all night. Candace Night's vocals and Richie Blackmore' guitar were fantastic. After a slow start, in which the soundtrack faded and the performers began, Candice and company took the assembled fans on an enjoyable musical journey through time. With the addition of the German minstrel who displayed his prowess with numerous old-world instruments - not the least of which was a hurdy-gurdy - the fullness of the musical presentation was enhanced to the delight of those gathered. Overall, a very enjoyable evening.

The venue, sound, and performance were all very good. However, being a Blackmore fan from the early days, I was very disappointed that he didn't play his Strat and do some of the more rockin' songs. Also, no encores. The crowd didn't even know the show was over 'til a guy announced it. The wife and daughters enjoyed it, though. Candice was exceptional!

Our first Blackmore's Night concert. And to be held on Sweetest Day was exceptionally special for my wife and I. The "Night" did not disappoint at all. Without going over the top on fan adulation, I can only say that Ritchie and Candice delevered a wonderful event, filled with quality selections from their 10 plus years together as musical collaborators and providers of very tasteful and original music. The quality of all the musicians on this tour accompanying them, the mood of the stage, and the energy of all involved was simply delightful. One could not have asked for better chemistry and representations of their music, words and harmonies. Together with the nostalgic Strat-Flashback of some of rock and rolls most famous and influential compositions from Richies past Purple days and the whimsical, somewhat silly humor of the Haunted Hare strolling through the time signatures of the Ritchies Minstrel Hall. It all served to underscore the obvious fact that while still intensely focused and relevant, the band still doesn't take itself too seriously not to afford itself and all in attendance some good humor and old school fun! I would recommend to all who enjoy the spiritual connections that quality music allows, to be certain and experience an evening with Blackmore's Night whenever possible. I am happy that Ritchie Blackmore has found this extremely creative and productive niche at this phase in his career after such a long journey in rock history. Few others from similar paths in music have been able to pursue with such passion and true inner joy such tenure that still inspires all who chosse to become a part of the experience. My best to Ritchie, Candice and all other minstrels for continued success and insipiration on the remainder of this tour and going forward with some new studio work. Thanks for coming to our town, your contributions to the world of music and especially in keeping the concerns of all your fans in mind when matters of pricing and accessability is considered. You are truly a class act who are living the "Peace and Love" that the rock generation so ardently espoused yet so few of your contemporaries have actually dared to sucessfully live out by example! This was one of the best - if not THE best - concerts I have been to in my thirty plus years of attending musical shows. I have been to Deep Purple concerts, Rainbow concerts and have seen Blackmore's Night before this show. I have to say that when the band is so thoroughly enjoying themselves and the audience like this one does it really shows how enjoyable a performance can be. Mrs. Blackmore (the 4th?) was absolutely outstanding - her angelic voice gives me the chills. My wife commented on how much she likes Bard David's voice also. Of course Richie's performance was beyond compare. I'm getting on in my concert-going years, but will not fail to go to every one of Blackmore's Night shows that I can.

What a treat it was to see the artistry and musicianship displayed by Blackmore s Night at the House of Blues-Chicago on 17-October. This was an All Ages show (several full families all in costume - were in the house). The agility Richie Blackmore displayed on his various guitars was incredible Candice Night (the New Mrs. Blackmore) was in wonderful voice and the band members were amazingly talented. KUDOS to the other woman in the band (don t know her name) who played electric violin / various woodwind instruments / and back-up vocals what a talent! The band played a full 2+ hours of music (they probably would have kept going for another 2 hours if allowed). Especially enjoyed the blast into the past segment of the evening when Richie B lead the band through a Deep Purple set of Woman from Tokyo / Smoke on the Water / and Black Knight. Can t wait for their next visit to Chicago

The show was amazing. It appeals to music fans on so many levels. The crowd was really into the performance and I did not leave disappointed in anyway. If you have a chance to see them. One word. GO! You got the sense of being in the presence of greatness watching Ritchie play a myriad of different guitars and string instruments. Candice was wonderful in her own right. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful and sounds magical when paired with Ritchie's guitar in the backround. Old school Rainbow and Deep Purple fans got a treat when he played some electric guitar. Candice sang on Soldier of Fortune. It was unexpected and took the show to another level. A+

This is my absolute all time favorite group & will go see them any chance I get. This was the 1st time to see them play live. The band seemed downsized from what it usually appears to be. I got the higher priced tickets thinking we would be closer to the stage & ended up, initially, in the upstairs box seats, where not seating was left available. We finally moved down a level & sat on the bar stools, which was fine because could see better there anyway. Requested one song which has very personal meaning to me......Old Village Lantern.......didn't get to hear it..........apparently, band had a 'curfew'. They did play for a long time, about 2 1/2 hours I think. I just missed some of this due to the seating mess-up @ House of Blues. Wish we could have more a setting that is available in Europe....castles & outdoor events. Having seen/own @ least most of their DVD's, guess I was looking forward to some of the 'surprise', spontaneous moments they are known for. I hope to see them again, maybe @ a different location that would be more condusive to their theme & originality.

I saw the show at the Chicago House of Blues. The band was sooo great live! Candice is such a great singer and Richie really rocks the house, literally. The bands little antics on stage are very endearing, and the atmosphere was very cozy. I was so blessed to get front row tickets and even got to sit next to Candice's sister during the show. I was an arm's length away from Candice for 2.5 hours, how could it not be the greatest concert I've ever attended! If there was a down side it was the small hardwood chairs provided for us and as with most concerts the music was just too loud to properly enjoy it, still I highly recommend seeing this band!

Ok so the show was fantastic!! Come on it is Blackmores Night, HOWEVER we all were a bit mad when they told us that the band requested that the side bars be closed!!! This was our first opportunity to see Blackmore's Night and I was concerned about the venue, but Chicago's House of Blues was beautiful. This show offered reserved seating, as well as, general admission. Our seats were reserved in the balcony box 150 which overlooked the stage. It was a loge with multiple rows of seats. We arrived early and sat in the front row. Note: Reserved seats only reserves the section/box not the actual seat. All of our tickets showed seats 1 & 2. Those that arrived later were upset to find they were in the second row and the view from there wasn't as good. Luckily we stood for the entire concert which allowed for those in the second row to join us in the first. The show was fantastic! Candice was as lyrical as ever and Ritchie's instrumentals were amazing. They did most of their popular songs, Queen for a Day, Violet Moon, Fires at Midnight, Lorelei, Renaissance Faire, Home Again, etc... I would love to see them again. They sold t-shirts for $20 and had goblets for $25 which I thought was extremely reasonable for a concert. I was dressed in garb so I also received 10% off at the souvenir stand.

Easy to review this one. This was the finest group of musicians ever gathered on one stage. As a Guitarist, Richie Blackmore has gone way above the level of Rock and roll musician. He is a master of his instrument. Candice loves what she does on stage and is a genuine and sincere Entertainer. Blackmore's Night was a memorable experience. We will return! Blackmores Night is a very unique band. The music they produce is from the old century, but with Richie's 09 touch. I have seen them before and each time the show gets better and better. Candice and Richie kind of play off of each other, sort of like Sonny and Cher....Their music is note to note precise, and Candice's voice is like that of a siren singing as the argonate sails its waters. With the crowd already pumped up, Richie starting tinkering on his guitar, and out comes MY WOMAN FROM TOKEYO followed by their rendition of SMOKE ON THE WATER. Needless to say the audience went crazy. The sound quality was excellent, CANDICE'S VOICE RANG OUT LOUD AND CLEAR. And turning the HOUSE OF BLUES into a CASTLE WAS EXCELLENT. This was the first show at the HOB that I have been to where they had reserved seating. I was fortunate to have gotten tickets early and had GREAT seats first row in the first balcony.....The sound was superb, and if you have not experienced one of their shows, it is a must. I would rate this show 5 STAR AMAZING. I also have to give credit to the HOB......They did an outstanding job seating everyone...... With all the heavy metal shows I attend, this show has always been a refreshing and entertaining change. Great for the whole family....

What can I say that the stars above have not conveyed. The night was electric and for our first time ever at the House of Blues in Chicago, we could not ask for more. Parking was a block away in a covered garage (17.00 is practically free in Chicago!) A meal at the House of Blues, then a great surprise! We were given a pass to stand in line INSIDE! The only regret, we did not have garb (costumes), but next time (and there will be a next time) we're wearing our best costumes! Richie Blackmore is a spectacular guitarist and Candice Night has a voice like an angel; and the band was fantastic. What a sound, what a night! Best of all, we went as a family and other than the couple in the row ahead of us (they should have gotten a room - if you know what I mean) it was a family friendly event. There was so much wonderful music and entertainment at the Cleveland, Ohio show. I was so excited to see Albert perform!! Candice was even better (and more beautiful) in person than on the DVDs. There was such fun interplay between her and the other members of the band - a bonus to a magical muscial evening. The venue was small and allowed me to meet , talk and trade stories with many other BN fans - what a great evening. The show ended on a strange note, though no encore, no handshakes at the end - Ritchie just left the stage. However, we were given over 2 hours of incredible music and an experience I may never again have. So, I thank them for their songs: their magnificient lyrics, incomparable guitar playing, and I thank them for coming to Cleveland.

Listening to the Blackmore's Night concert was like stepping into the pages of a fantasy romance book of yesteryear. The music was beautiful, haunting, engaging. It brought me to another faraway place and time. The melodies made me feel I was part of some enchanting magical lore. Lead singer Ms Night not only has a beautiful voice, she is beautiful to behold in her medieval garb and long flowing golden hair. All the costumes were authentically middle ages looking which added to the mystique. I wish Richie Blackmore had spoken directly to the audience instead of just to Ms Night. Nothing is perfect, and in this case the ending was weak. We didn't know the end had arrived; the players just left the stage and that was that. But the nonexistent finale didn't detract from the fire and magic of the music.

What a brilliant night! At first, we were worried that Candice Night's voice would suffer onstage without help, but she is every bit pitch perfect as on her recordings. Ritchie showed that age has not changed anything on him, he still can rock any string instrument he can grab. Shout out as well to the rest of the band. They play and sing with all the power they got. I would actually like to see them get more recognition than what they get. They deserve it!
