This free concert was held in down town, Hatiesburg, Mississippi. It started at 6pm. I went to Josh Kelly free concert with my roommate. Josh is her favorite singer. I have not known him and his music, however, he seems to be very popular in US because many audience came to the concert. Fortunately, we got very first row, it was just very in front of the performer. Josh (Vocal & Guitar) performed with 1 Bass/1 Drums/1 Guitar/1 Keyboard. Very live music always excited me. His music is categorized as the country rock genre, however, I enjoyed sounds like pops and very country music. One of friends of my roommate was very excited at sexy hips of the black basist with blaze hair and the guitarist with blond hair. Actually the black basist caught my eyes. Stage and lighting sets had high quality. It's a free concert, you know. I could enjoy not only great music but also wonderful venue. So I can say it's one of American greatness. I may have very few oppotunity to enjoy free concerts with that kind of high quality system in Japan.

This concept, while not new, is a winner: have two solid artists tour together and perform joint sets . . . a positively good experience.

Josh Kelley and Ryan Cabrera are awesome in concert together! They are both funny and witty! They make you feel like you are just chilling with your friends grooving to some jams! I would definitely go again and take my friends with me!

This show was so fantastic, I had to see it twice. If & when these two pair up again, I will absolutely be there. Two amazing artists sharing a stage for an absolutely unforgettable music experience! Every bit of it was fun! The Kin & Brandon Whyde truly rounded out the night for an unimaginable show!

My sister and I went to this show anticipating seeing Josh again--we'd seen him at the 9:30 Club several years ago and thought he was very amusing and talented. The first act was a guy whose name escapes me, but I didn't care for terribly. However, the second act was a band called The Kin, and they were absolutely, positively INCREDIBLE! Their harmonies are gorgeous, their music is big and wide and still intimate, and the only instruments they played were an acoustic guitar, a small keyboard, and a digideroo (they're from Australia). My sister and I were blown away--watching them was worth the price of admission. I didn't realize when I bought the tickets that Josh and Ryan would be performing together, and I had never heard of Ryan before. My impression of him is that he's young, immature, and needs to get over his high school girlfriend and move on. Josh was good, but there was not enough of just him. The Birchmere itself is a great venue, and I look forward to returning. Overall, the best part was discovering The Kin. They are just amazing. They opened for Ryan at Jammin' Java in Vienna, VA a couple of weeks ago, and they were just as good there. We left after they finished their set.

They were fantastic together. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about it at first, but they really pulled it off. Their personalities really came out and they just got along so well. The music was wonderful!

Great time at this concert and venue... Josh Kelley is comfortable on stage because he is the real deal - this guy is no joke.... Josh has this incredible clarity, strength and power in his voice - never seemed to struggle to hit the right note. Truly gifted is the word that comes to mind.....very strong, centered energy. Ryan was good, also, but needs more control to refine what could be great. "The Kin" just sort of blew my friend and I away. We had never even heard of them, but, their "Rise and Fall" CD is played often now in our homes and by our friends! Continue to just be real. You have great talent.
