High energy, loud, and very patriotic. These guys put on a wild show from beginning to end. There are no slow ballads with these guys and they do some covers of very popular songs with their style. The tribute to the troops, police and first responders was the only slow paced part of the show and was highly appreciated.
Best concert I have ever been to! On your feet loving it the whole time! I would have been willing to pay and watch it all over again the second it was finished!
The concert lights were amazing, except when they shined in your eyes. The sound was great, but VERY LOUD! We had to wear ear plugs to save our hearing! I do not understand why bands have to play SOOOO LOUD. I go to listen and enjoy; sometimes I would like to able to speak to my partner and to be able to be heard.
this was the most amazing concert I have seen in a long time!!!!! Loved the lights and colors. I would go again and again and again!! Just love those guys..they are absolutely talented and so personable after their shows - especially Big Kenny. Hope they come to Sioux Falls soon!!
Amazing concert poor seating arrangements could not see most of the concert and seats were to close together to warm should have made arrangements for wheel chairs and disabled people to have front row seats or don't sell them tickets.
The vocals were hard to hear, and the stage lighting was way over the top. seating was cheap plastic chairs, with too many crammed into the place. it seats 2500, but should only seat 1500. only 1 bar for non-vip tickets, and two beer tubs at the back. wait for hard alcohol was 10 min. minimum. moving people up and down the stairs was a pain, only 2 ways in/out. tickets were 75 bucks for 12th row.
Music might have been ok, tough to say for sure. The venue ruined the show. Horrible accoustics, fans wedged into small plastic chairs in space that is far too small. There is no elevation with seating so those beyond the first row cannot see the stage. Whoever designed the venue should be fired. I won't be going back any time soon.
I gave the event only a 2 star because I was not able to see anything at all. When they were talking you couldn't understand anything they were saying. The music in it self was wonderful. But the overall experiences was terrible I wanted my money back.
We drove 400 miles for the Saturday night concert. I bought tickets as a birthday gift for my wife. I thought they were a little pricey when ordering them but what a performance by Big and Rich, Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy. It was worth every penny and then some. I think this is the greatest addition to the Deadwood Experience since the inception of gambling out there and the big name entertainment will bring something fresh to Deadwood. You can gamble just about anywhere these days so this will be a drawing card for Deadwood and the Black Hills. We will be back. Can`t wait for the next trip out. Dan & Sandy
I would of like to see the seat a little further apart where you are not poking your neighbor every time you move, or when you stood up and you have to stand side ways.
This was an fantastic event, Music had you dancing in front of your seat. The sound in the Deadwood Mountain was great. The whole show kept you wanting. more.
Seating is all level, except rear near mixer. My only suggestion is to get bigger seats, I am small framed, but having big guys next to you is tight quarters. Needs a little more organization for leaving. If someone starts up in front of you, you have no choice but to stand up and try seeing around people. thank you
The concert was great but the venue needs to do something about their seating. It was aweful and I will not go to another event there unless the seating gets better.
The concert was awesome. Big and Rich...Gretchen Wilson...Cowboy Troy...Epic! The new facility is just awesome! The only drawback...... seating....How can anyone sit still at a Big and Rich or any other concert like that? Need to be able to get up and dance...which we did ....
Great Concert--seen them before and look forward to seeing them again. The song selection was great and having Big and Rich sing a few song then Gretchen Wilson sing a few made for great evening of entertainment. Would have been nice if Cowboy Troy would have sang more then one song but he helped make the show just that much better. The only draw back were the following: 1. They need to improve the seating little foldout plastic chairs don't work 2. Concession Sales--they need to expand so it's not so crowded and time consuming 3. Lighting was good but with the seating at eye level you were blinded by the light show and if you were trying to take pictures the lights washed out your picture.
I enjoyed the show but do not enjoy standing to see the whole thing. I understand the enthusiasm of the crowd but I paid for a seat and would like to sit an enjoy the show without standing. There should definitely be an area for seating only, for those who would like to remain seated for most of the show. The show itself was done very well.
The Deadwood Grand was a fantastic venue in a historic town nestled in the Black Hills. Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson were the perfect artists to play for the grand opening of the event center. My only complaint was the way they had the chairs sectioned and labeled. Why do event centers that bring live music to hundreds of people not understand that music makes people want to dance, not sit in neat little rows of folding chairs.
tons of fun, lots of energy! Seating was set up good so you could see everything on stage! Sound was a little muffled, but am sure that problem will get resolved.
I loved the concert. John Rich and Gretchen were wonderful. Never understood Big but he's funny. I thought the concert would have been better if they installed screens so we could see the stage happenings over people standing but otherwise really great. I wish John Rich had done a solo or too, just him and his guitar... but I can't complain was a great show.

Big & Rich were amazing. We really appreciated the patriotic portion. Makes one proud to be an American. Facility wise, type of chairs for what little sitting we did needs vast improvement. I especially felt bad for people in wheelchairs with lots of people standing in front of them They couldn't see the performance at all.

Gloriana was the first opener and that seemed about right. I had never seen them live before so wasn't sure what to expect. They were really good. Their cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" was truly a highlight in their set! If you were sitting in your seats during the first act, you were certainly standing when Big & Rich hit the stage. Big Kenny has a way of getting everyone excited and up on their feet! Amidst the tremendous energy they bring with their music, they did squeeze in a couple of ballads (Lost in This Moment and Look at You), probably my two favorite Big & Rich songs to date. Of course, John Rich finished off the night by busting a guitar on stage to the delight of the audience! Highlight: When Big & Rich thanked the troops all around the world watching on Yahoo Live Stream and when John Rich said that he hoped they kill all those "ISIS bastards" - which brought lots of screams in agreement from fans. They then dedicated their song, "8th of November" to our current military and vets. Jake Owen came on stage sporting his new haircut, and declared he had no set-list. He did a lot of talking with the audience, which was actually nice. There were 3 highlights in his set. The first came when he brought a 7 year old girl on stage to dance during Alone with You. The second was when he and a girl in the audience sang a cover of Ice Ice Baby. Finally, he sang his latest single, What We Ain't Got. You could see and feel the emotions of his song through him. It was pretty awesome. Tons of Jake Owen fans in the audience really brought the energy to his set. Darius Rucker closed out the night with an hour or so long set full of fan favorites and even a Hootie song that brought the house down! I can't imagine anyone there wanting it to end. His band was just as much a part of the show as he was. Quinton Gibson was a show in himself as he demanded your attention on the guitar during every song. It was great to watch Jeff Marino on drums (since I've only seen him up on a platform). Garry Murray is like a master of instruments. Everytime you look up, he's playing something different. Love his interactions with John Mason - who even with that darn knee brace, had tons of fun up there. It's all about that bass, Mr. Mason! Sasha, was a dream up there, smiling the entire time. You could truly tell how much he enjoyed himself, especially when he moved downstage! Lee Turner's completely genuine smile could light the stage in a blackout! Which is why anytime he broke away from keyboards to play guitar downstage, was a chance to see that smile up close! And then when you add Darius in front of all of this, how could you not keep from rocking out with all of them. Darius brought a whole different kind of energy to the venue that night. His voice, his dancing, his smile and his interactions with the crowd were the perfect combination to make this Not So Silent Night a HUGE success. Highlights: 1) When Darius sang What God Wants for Christmas. Everyone in the audience was pretty awestruck by it. How could we not be? It was amazing. 2) Darius Rucker came back for an encore of Wagon Wheel to top off the night and based on audience response, it was the perfect choice. 3) Everytime Darius danced! There's just something quite special about it that makes you smile and want to dance along. 4) There were a few times where the band (except Jeff on drums) and Darius all came downstage with their instruments and the lighting was just perfect on them while they were playing. Those moments were pretty spectacular.

Accoustics seemed not really great...muffled, distorted. It took a very long time between bands which in turn made the event run long. We didn't stay til the end. Even standing, we couldn't see the performers on stage. Should have had a 'jumbo tron' showing the artists. That would have made the experience much more enjoyable.

First song was great, having anniversary couple on stage was very nice and the song that they sang for them was also great. Both songs by Big and Rich. But, hearing very few songs by Big and Rich was a huge disappointment!!! That is why we went. Not to hear a remake of AC DC and songs by other artists. We paid for Big and Rich and we expected to hear the Big and Rich songs that we loved, but never did.

The band and everything about them was GREAT!!!! Beyond my expectations but Ho Chuck...not so much. The general seating was awful. Why would you not stagger the chairs so that everyone could see the stage. Then John Rich tells everyone to stand up, make some noise, etc ( his statement, not mine) you bought a ticket so do what you want...then the usher "lady" comes and tells us to sit down because people can't see behind us...well, if you would have stagger the rows of seat you might not have had that problem...just sayin'

I saw big and rich at country jam 2013 and loved their show :) so when I saw they would be playing at the casino I was all about that. When the concert started it was full of energy and then I started to realize the show was the exact same one that I saw at country jam. I was expecting at least a 2 hour concert for what I paid for my ticket and we only got an hour and a half. And the first 1/2 hour was of just a hype DJ. So big and rich was on for just an hour. A little disappointed but still fun :)

Big and Rich delivered a fantastic show. Their music is just fun and amazing alone. Add the lights and Cowboy Troy and it just takes it up a couple of more notches. Yes that is correct!! HORRIBLE and I must say the filled up restroom - during the last 2 encore songs agreed as they stood and complained about how horrible the concert was. If people wanted rock they would have gone to a rock concert - people came to see a country concert. The sound was so loud I could'nt figure out the songs being play. This is the first time we have been in the lower section (we have attended many concerts at ML) and the sound was ARRRRGGHHH - Bad!!!! Sure it isn't ML issue that B&R wanted to be a rock group - but then they should have adjusted accordingly. I noticed people leaving early and covering their ears. Many of them older people just not into the noise or level of noise. Everyone should get a REFUND.... I also feel bad for the people who came late thinking there was an opening act - not! And get rid of the guy who opened the show - dressed in black and sparkles?? who was he supposed to be? Then he played with the band so we should have known what was to follow!!

Paying $70 for 2 tickets each for an hour and a half for this concert, I'm sorry but was a waist of time. I don't pay that much at other concerts and I get twice as much time out of, it if not more. They sounded ok, but the sound board guy didn't know who was signing at times, they didn't play as good as what they could have. Cowboy Troy, I thought sang country, not rap. Waste of time for him to be there. It was bad enough to say that I will not goto another casino concert again. Waste of money and time.

The sound was way too loud on everything except the microphones for vocals. You couldn't hear their voices on 90% of the songs. I'm not sure if that is the fault of a Big and Rich sound person or someone local at Mystic Lake but it was terrible. While I stayed the entire concert I witnessed many people leaving early. Big and Rich would be a good opening act based on the fact that they have 3 good songs but I'll never see them again as a headliner.

Concert was AWESOME--The first group (LEROY POWELL & THE MESSENGERS) was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! They ROCKED AND ROLLED!!! And my husband talked to the 2 front guys and you'd think they'd known each other forever. They were a 3 pc band; 2 guitar players and a drummer! (They were right up my husband's alley--on stage and off)!!!! Also bought their CD and the guys autographed it and gave my husband a 'card'! :-) Then of course GRETCHEN WILSON AND BIG & RICH (performed together) WAS AWESOME!!!!! They put on a great show and interacted with each other and EVERYONE!! Only fault I had was with the sound system, a bit distorted, IMO. Also, COWBOY TROY was 'entertaining' -- he also joined GW & B&R on stage for a bit. He's nice as he can be, but COUNTY-RAP---not my thing. He was @ the T-Shirt table b4 concerts started and very friendly and personable.

This was an unbelievable show. The "Honky-Tonk General" Bradley Gaskin kicked the show off with a short set, starting off with his current single "Mr. Bartender" with just his voice and guitar. He then sang another of his original songs titled "I Worship The Woman You Walked On" adding in two classics such as Keith Whitley's "Don't Close Your Eyes" and George Jones' "Tennessee Whiskey". After hearing him sing I became a fan and also realized that traditional country, honky-tonk music is in good hands with this young man. Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy took the stage and from that point on the energy level went shooting off into the sky like a rocket to the moon. Not many people were sitting down as every song was ramped up with very few slow downs aside from when Gretchen paid her tribute to Patsy Cline and did a cover of a John Prine song that may make it onto a future Redneck Records album for her. One thing that really moved the crowd was when they had a U.S. and a POW/MIA flag brought on stage along with a veteran from Iraq to give him our thanks as well as all those who have, are or will serve in our country's military. Their lead guitarist started playing the Anthem in the style of Jimi Hendrix with everyone singing along. Big & Rich also performing "The 8th Of November" had an impact as well. This concert was a great experience and the Mystic Lake Amphitheater venue was a great place to have this show. With some minor improvements this venue will be a place people will want to go to for years to come.

This event was the most memorable part of our visit to Nashville. The venue was gorgeous! We had such a fun time. My only complaint would be in the future to maybe have some cooling stations or something where people can mist off or get out of the sun. It was 90 degrees in direct sunlight most of the day. I think kids would enjoy mist or water stations either way. But the performances were all awesome and we loved this event!

We were there for the entire day! We had seats on the floor. I liked that they did not overcrowd the floor. The acts were great. There was some sound system issues and it was difficult to understand some of the acts. They sounded better out in the food area. It was a long day. I wish they would have had the first acts a little closer together and started the larger acts a little earlier or started the concert a little later it drug on. Some people had too much time to drink and when it got dark, the pot smokers were in full board. But the security was looking for them and did a nice job with trying to control it. It was defined worth the money. Shout out to the Wolf for providing an opportunity to have a great time with my family! As always Big and Rich rocked the stage!

There were several interesting bands and it was fun to see some of the local talent. The transitions between bands were very slow, seems like it would have been better to split the stage into 2 so that as 1 band is playing the next could be setting up, especially for the earlier bands. Also the announcing DJ's seemed unnecessarily annoying, and sure seemed to like to hear themselves....

All of the bands were exceptional...but the last 20 minutes of Big and Rich were just plain chaos...not enjoyable in the least. A disappointing way to end the show. I would also only recommend this to a friend if they could sit closer to the stage.

The music was awesome, but would not recemmend this venue to anyone. Unless you get front row seats or are in the front section you will not be able to see anything except what the camera man decides to put on the big screen and they don't seem to know the music to know who is doing the singing or who has a solo to feature them.

Great concert and location. I loved the fact that they all intertwined instead of one band at a time.

The sound system was incredible! We're already booking for our next event. Parking and walking in/out of the venue was quick and easy. Mystic does a great job.

We absolutely loved the concert! It was a beautiful evening, the parking into the event was smooth. The seats are alittle close together, and we would have loved to have a beer while we sang & danced with the gang! We loved the fact that everyone in the tour sang together- Big & Rich, while Gretchen & Cowboy Troy in the background and visa versa, it was a whole show with all of them preforming, and it really flowed well. The warm-up guy also did a great job. We just had a wonderful time, and were very entertained..
