So thankful that these guys come around the Philadelphia way every so often. Maybe they're not really widely known, but Assembly of Dust is a great band. Lyrically one of the better bands around, musically tight and interesting, and just all around fun to see live. I love that I get to see them in Philadelphia's smaller clubs (Foundry, Ardmore Music Hall, Union Transfer, World Cafe, etc). This was my first trip to the Fillmore Philadelphia's smaller club The Foundry. The sound was good from was, and seemed to be pretty clear throughout the spacious venue. I like the bar placement and the fact that you could get to it from all four sides. Couches around the sides and back gave the place a loungey feel. Great band, great show, great, venue, and most importantly, a great time. I can't wait next time. Thanks

If you like Kanye West or EDM, you would've hated this show. If you like thoughtful and artist inspired rock and roll performed by first rate musicians, then this show was Nirvana. The entire evening was a highlight. Thanks boys!

Great show. Double set. 3 hours of amazing live music. Really fun show. Every musician had a jam solo at some point during the songs.

A night that reminds you that AOD is one of the best acts in the game - there songs are original and the live show has some great improvisation/jams - Lead Guitarist Adam Terrell has brought the art of melting faces to new heights

Assembly of dust rocked from the very first song Thursday night. The band sounded fantastic. Reid had his usual fantastic singing voice all night. With a solo acoustic encore. Adam Terrell seemed to have something special going on all night. He really killed it! It was the best I have seen of him. Great show!!

Assembly of dust was one of the most enjoyable concerts I've been to, they played for close to 4 hours of beautiful music. The crowd was even yearning for more after the encore.

Best AOD concert I've seen yet! Reid's vocals and Adam's guitar leads were outstanding. They had a different keyboard player than usual, who was good, but not at the level of their normal keyboardist (did he leave the band?!). Seeing AOD live is a wholly satisfying experience for anyone who's into jam bands. Their new album pales in comparison to what the new songs they played live sounded like. In fact, the new album lack the energy and song quality that their previous albums had. The one exception is "Mrs What You Are," which has a great groove. AOD should record Sun Shot LIVE and re-release it so fans can really experience the full potential of those songs, which sound rather dull on the studio album. But see this group life if you want a real treat for the ears! See you at the Vibes!

AOD is one of my favs. That was the first time I saw them where the sound was real bad. The musicians were hitting their notes fine but the sound guy had the volume way too loud and not balance. The keyboards were so load that I couldn't hear Adam s guitar or Reed's voice. Bass and drums were a bit loud too. Again, one of my favorite bands and I saw them last year at the same place standing in the same spot sort of and they sounded 10 times cleaner, MY EARS ARE STILL RINGING.

One heck of a show. This band has a lot of energy. I saw them before as the back-up band and now seeing them as a headliner made me appreciate the band even more. Great jams.

Having seen Assembly of Dust many times over the years I always leave the show wondering why they are not recognized more nationally. For those who haven't seen them Assembly of Dust is a band consisting of one lead singer and prolific songwriter Reid Genaur along with maybe the best guitarist going Adam Terell. Until recently they had as tight a rhythm section as could be found in bassist John Lecesse and drummer Andy Herick(Herick has left the band). The band plays very well written songs with expert musisianship and high energy supplemented by their faithful fans. It will not matter when you see them. They are always on. The most consistent performers you will ever see. At the Paradise they opened with Man with a Plan and plowed through 20 songs. The first set included AOD classics like Bus Driver, Fountain , Paul Henry and Rachel. The second set started off with probably AOD's best "Somtimes" a song that ends with Reid Genaur therapeutically screaming "I wish I didn't need a woman" a moment at all AOD shows that is a community high. They continued at a break neck pace with Songs We Sing, Harrower, 45 Degrees, Truck Farm, and ended the night with fan favorite Speculator. A special mention has to go to Tom Arey who filled in on the drums and not only didn't slow the others down but down right pushed them like a pro. It was all great fun to see such a profressional band play a first rate show in front of a first rate crowd. Especially knowing going in it would be that way. It always is when you see Assembly of Dust

As a more recent fan of AoD, I have only had one other opportunity to see them perform live at the Gathering of The Vibes. What difference a dedicated crowd makes. The crowd was sing along to nearly every song and the energy in the room was overflowing. The first set was mostly by the book renditions of many of their classics, but the second set the really opened things up and started jamming more, which was to my liking. There were practically no dozers in either set with the band firing on all cylinders for each song. The new addition of fiddle on several numbers (especially Speculator), was nice. Tom Arey on the drums was also a great addition. All in all it was a great night and the new renovations to the Paradise were nice, there was more room to move around and get to and from the bar, which was a pleasant change from the overcroweded feel the room had before.

incredible night with a mixed setlist of both new AOD and old strangefolk classics. the new keyboard/fiddle player added a whole new level to the show. highly recommended! (and P.S. the opening band 'hot day at the zoo' was amazing too... prog bluegrass at its best... their cover of hendrix' "foxy lady" was way cool!)

This concert was one of the best concerts I've seen this year. They really have perfected the jam band persona. The lead guitarest is much better than I remember. I would recommend anyone to see Assembly, it is the best feel good music!
