The Fall of Troy

The Fall of Troy

Post-hardcore outfit The Fall of Troy unleashes an infectiously energetic and mind-bogglingly technical sonic assault every time they take the stage. The trio's musicianship shines as they tear through the intricate riffs, complex chord changes, and unconventional time signatures of their math rock-influenced songs. The result is an unorthodox and dazzlingly virtuosic concert experience that rocks audiences to the core. Whether they're getting the adrenaline pumping with tracks from their self-titled 2003 debut LP or sharing new material off their highly anticipated fifth album, The Fall of Troy always amaze ticket buyers to with a monumenta.

Despite being a fan for almost 10 years, I hadn't had the fortunate chance of getting to see these guys live until now; but they blew my top so hard that I forgot I had been even waiting that long. Incredible & infectious high-energy, great crowd interaction, and flawless playing. Can't wait until next time!

The Fall of Troy was absolutely amazing. They played Doppelganger in its entirety with a few of their other hits before and in between. The energy between Thomas, Tim, and Andrew was amazing. They even made a really nice gesture and brought a fan in a wheelchair up onto the stage and several times let him do the drum countdown for Andrew to begin a song.

This show was awesome, except there were these like 12 year olds who needed parental supervision and shouldn't have been there simply stated.

All three bands were GREAT! Props to Twin Atlantic (opening act) hopefully they go far. As for Envy and The Fall of Troy, nothing like sending off Thomas, Frank, and Andrew off right! Good job Minnesota!!

This particular show was a farewell tour to one of my personal favorite bands, the fall of troy. Starting with the opening band Twin Atlantic, a group out of Scotland. Twin Atlantic did a fine job and after reviewing their music, adapted well to opening for more of a hardcore/progressive band then you originally would think. However, the crowd wasn't really sure of their music and the opener was therefore kind of dull. Up next was Envy on The Coast, and many people seemed as excited for them as The Fall of Troy. Envy performed well and the singer excited the crowd by jumping into the crowd and forcing them to move around (something that needed to be done) They played some of their hits and an astonishingly good cover of "The House of the Rising Sun" and left the crowd ready and excited for what was to come. They definitely should be coming back to this area with a great show. The Fall of Troy came out and the crowd went wild. TFOT mixed Old songs and new in a medley of evolving progressive soundscapes that kept the crowd off their feet and unaware what could possibly be next. They had a good mix of improvisation and a great comprehensive setlist of their entire works, fitting for a farewell tour. The only thing I wanted to see more of was Thomas' signature guitars (i.e. Double Cut Les Paul, SG X) hardly downed the show at all and the band put everything on the line giving a great show with tons of emotion. I'll take this memory to the Grave.
