This event did not disappoint. Friends and I drove from Maine to this show and the hours of driving and sitting in traffic definitely paid off. A friend that came had never heard any of their songs and absolutely loved the show. The Spill Canvas was amazing, as usual. Their shows never disappoint, no matter if they are the opener or the headliner. After the show TSC came out to greet the fans and I got an opportunity to meet them. :) The opening band 'Starting Over' had great energy. Thriving Ivory were amazing performers, as well. I will go to their future shows in the New England region. Amazing concert overall.

I was absolutely blown away by the concert at Triple Rock Social Club. New Politics opened it up well and got the crowd enthused. The main singer had an amazing stage presence and their music was awesome. AM Taxi came next and kept the crowd going. Their music is very original and sounded spectacular live! Tyler Hilton came up next and sounded amazing as well. Finally, The Spill Canvas came up and just rocked everybody's socks off. They had a good song lineup although I wish they had played Sunsets and Car Crashes! They even came back for an encore. I'm so glad I went to the show. It was also very fun that it was their last show so they were playing pranks and having a good time up there. It was a very entertaining/awe-inspiring concert.

Show was ok, played a lot of their mainstream songs which was good. After the show my wife and I waited 15 minutes ahead of everyone else to get autographs just to be told by the bands friend we needed to go to the back of the line. FOR ABSOLUTOLY NO REASON. The band witnessed the whole thing and just stood their and let us get treated like garbage. THEY LOST ALL OF MY RESPECT.

I have been a long time fan of The Spill Canvas but this was my first time seeing them live. They really are just an amazing band! They played some oldies but goodies as well as some of their new stuff off the realities LP and they rocked every song. If you go and see this concert you HAVE to check out New Politics. They are the first band to perform but they really got someting and their performance set the tone for the rest of my night. Granted this concert was like two hours away from where I live, and myself and my friend got lost trying to find the venue.... But I would do it all over again in a heart beat just to see them again. They are so real and laid back and their fans really do love them! Keep on rockin TSC!!

Let me start out by pointing out the one thing that mildly sucked- absolutely no seating! Of course at most of these shows there isn't, but standing through three openers before SC was rough. The overall feel and energy of the place was great. My sister flew into LA from Arizona just to go to this show, and the smaller size of the Roxy allows closer viewing and a much more intimate setting Literally this place is a whole wall of bar, one wall booths (which were blocked off for VIP), and one wall a curtained stage. The location on Sunset Blvd is great, especially if you plan to eat somewhere special or go to a few bars. And finally, the Spill Canvas Can't say enough about this group. We've been waiting two years for them to go back on tour after catching them at the lucky 13 warped tour. If you aren't familiar with this band check them out! They played a mix of new songs as well as favorites, and were called to an encore where they played two more songs any canvas fan knows word for word. Other than standing through a few openers (who were also amazing - The New Politics, AM Taxi, and Tyler Hilton), and the chunks of time in between, the Roxy was cool, and the music unbelievable. Come back to LA soon!

I've been to my fair share of shows and The Spill Canvas was the most fun and exciting show ever! Nick is an amazing singer/performer/writer and his love making to the audience was truly epic. I've never seen anymore pour so much of themselves into a show before. Landon was amazing as well. The chemistry between Nick and Landon really made the show that much greater! I couldn't really see Dan and Joe but you could sense their energy by the way they sounded. I love that Spill's encore set was an additional half hour into the already hour set that they played. These guys are so awesome they even had a meet and greet after the show. They're all so down to earth and it shows that they really care about their fans. I can't wait to see them again. They are my favorite band and seeing them live is one of the best concert experiences I've ever had. =] Oh and Stacy from the kroq team really helped us out! There were 3 of us and only 2 of us preordered our tickets. And when we got to the roxy, we were told tickets were sold out. She really helped us out by giving us a ticket! Thank you Stacy!!!!

I can't even find words to describe last nights show. I have seen all of their shows in Southern California since 2005, and the energy from the crowd at the Roxy bypasses all others. They are lyrical geniuses. I enjoyed the amount of old songs they played last night as well. Absolutely amazing.

The show was awesome..The Spill Canvas was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..New Politics and Tyler Hilton(even though hes not my cup of tea :D) were really good! Am Taxi were ok :-/ venue was good too..Only problem I had was the ladies room was HORRIBLE. The toilet overflowed so bad that it flowed into another stall, If you walked into it you were walking in toilet water..the only available stall had a little toilet water in it and the door wouldn't lock..yucky :(

I've seen The Spill Canvas many times before, they are by far my favorite band. They are a band that is even better live than on cd. They really give it their all, and it shows. They played a great mix of old material and new material, which to me is imperative for a show to be an enjoyable one. Once they left the stage they came back to play two more songs, and ended with the perfect song...All Hail The Heartbreaker. I love when they close with that song because its the kind of song that you sing so loud you feel lightheaded. The song ends with the band having the audience sing the last line " ALL HAIL THE HEARTBREAKER! " at the top of our lungs...which is a great way to end it, on a high note.

This show was really great, from the opening acts to the main band. Even when there was a technical error, the Spill Canvas didn't sweat it. They told jokes on stage, they laughed about it. Spill Canvas is not one of my favorite bands, but they are definitely up on my list, especially after last night's show at the Stone Pony. I had never seen them perform live before but I went with a friend who was on her fifth Spill Canvas experience. They were fantastic live -- one of the better shows that I've been to. There were a lot of people there, but there was breathing room for everyone to have some personal space and be able to dance if they so chose. Their setlist was a great assortment of both their sound and their development as a band. I was taken aback when they performed "The Tide" as a band. Not only was the performance heart-wrenching, but having a full band as opposed to an acoustic guitar added that much more depth to the piece. Dan is quite an asset as a back-up singer, not to mention a beautiful guitarist. They added so many delicate flourishes to the song that it felt like a completely new piece. I can only hope they re-record a new studio version. Nick's pitch is magnificent and his voice is just as clear and beautiful live as it is on the albums. Joe, their drummer, has so much energy when he's playing, I almost felt bad for his drum set. Landon rocks the bass but I would've liked to see a little more energy from him. About three-quarters of the way through their set, the band ran into some technical difficulties which delayed the show about fifteen minutes. The guys joked around with the audience for a little while before excusing themselves from the stage. Upon their return, Nick said they would have to shorten their set, but I couldn't tell if he was joking or not. I caught a glimpse of their setlist taped to the stage, and it only seemed they cut one song, "Connect The Dots." I'd highly recommend seeing them, and I will surely be seeing them again.

I'm a huge Tyler Hilton fan so when I saw he was showing near me, I had to go. I'd heard of the Spill Canvas before but never really got into them. I was in for a treat! After a crazy warm up by the New Poltics, a band definitely worth checking out when their record comes out this summer, AM Taxi took the stage and gave a great performance. Then Tyler came on and I was absolutely blown away - he combined his old and new songs with a ton of soul to produce a great set list. And then the Spill Canvas came on and the place went to a whole new level. They started with Gateway Drug to get the crowd into it, had Our Song with Tyler in the middle, and despite some technical difficulties, closed out the show with an oldie but goodie, All Hail the Heartbreaker. All I can say is...THIS SHOW WAS AMAZING!!!!

AM Taxi was excellent, and there was plenty of space to hide with a beer so as to avoid the live "One Tree Hill Soundtrack." We only got to hear about 6 songs from The Spill Canvas before "technical difficulties." Like a lot of other people, I had a train to catch, so once they asked the band leave the stage to deal with the problems, I left, too. One of the guys working the door said that it sounded like a problem that would end the night, so I have no idea if the band went back on, or when. I got to hear a few of my favorite songs, but it was literally less than half of a performance and I'm sure no one's getting a refund.

the band was AMAZING however the venue had a lot of technical difficulties. The guitars were off during the first few songs then the drums were off during the rest. The band had to take a break towards the end for the venue to fix the problems. I 100% recommend seeing this band, they never disappoint but I don't recommend the venue (the Stone Pony in Asbury Park NJ)

The Spill Canvas and Tyler Hilton are amazing! I've known the Spill Canvas since "The Tide" and Tyler Hilton since his stint on One Tree Hill. Who knew he was so much hotter in person? Haha! Although not as many people there knew Tyler he still put on an excellent show and he played my favorite song of his, "You'll Ask For Me." I was so excited because it was my first time seeing him. Now, The Spill Canvas, I have seen about four times now and they are as wonderful as ever! Their performances almost sound better than the recordings themselves! THAT GOOD! I will be sure to see both bands each and every time they return to the Bay Area. One amazing night.

Spill Canvas played an excellent show. I've seen them before in concert but the set list in St. Pete was the perfect blend. I'm glad that they played a lot of their older songs. Can't wait to see them again!! Only downfall was the rushed meet & greet post-show.

I've seen Spill Canvas a couple times, just when they were opening for another band, but they were amazing in St. Pete as headliners. They had the best mix of music from my favorite albums Sunsets and Car Crashes and One Fell Swoop but also threw in their good new stuff. Only downside was the meet and greet was ridiculously rushed. Having met them a couple times before and had a few minutes to speak with them, I was less than happy being told "move it along people" by some bouncer.

As a 46 year old mother of two teenage girls, I was really impressed with The Spill Canvas. I took my daughters to see The Spill Canvas to celebrate the up coming birthday of my eldest daughter. I was impressed with not only the performance, but the attitudes of the boys towards their fans. Too often you see those in influential positions who treat their fans/followers as though the fans owe them, or they choose to treat their fans "like dirt." The Spill Canvas was truly there for their fans. The boys were genuinely pleased to take pictures and talk with not only my daughters, but others who approached them. They won really big bonus points with this mom!!! I'm not an overly protective mom, but because I also teach high school seniors, I hear all kinds of stories about the things teenagers do at concerts. Having never been to a concert in this type of venue myself, I was a little apprehensive, even though I was going to be there with my girls. But I must say, that I was not only impressed with The Spill Canvas, but the fans as well. Even though there was alcohol being served, there was really no drunken disorderly behavior. Those who drank, were being responsible and respectful. This is not only a reflection of the fans, but of the values demonstrated by the band as well (none of the boys were falling over drunk on the stage). The Spill Canvas is awesome!!!

I've been a big spill canvas fan for several years!!! However, i felt the show wasn't as well performed as previous shows:( I took several friends who didn't know the band but couldn't get into the show ( along with myself) cause the mic volume was TOO low making it difficult for anyone to hear the AMAZING lyrics to the songs by this WONDERFUL band. This show was unforgettable to say the very least. Every band came to rock the show and did so with great success. We missed New Politics except their single Yeah Yeah Yeah which was awesome. Then AM Taxi came on and they easily became a new fav. they sounded flawless and had great presence.. then Tyler Hilton. So Funny, and musically flawless as well. Great cover song and his singles stole the show.. And lastly, but definitely not least, The Spill Canvas.. Not only did they play every song I've ever wanted them to play (with exception of 'Appreciation and the bomb') but they we're better than i remember. this was my fifth time having them grace my presence and boy will i never forget this one. such an amazing set, a meet and greet afterwards, great merch deals (shirt and EP for 15 bucks, wow)... the Roxy is perfectly small so every spot is a good one.. No waits at the bar (although a little pricey, but Miller Lite for 5 bucks.. nice) great crowd... not one bad thing to say about this show..

This was the most amazing show i have ever been too it was small which made it more personal and the songs were the perfect combination of old and new. Not to mention after the show they signed autographs and were all stand up guys!

We were packed into the Triple Rock, but it was well worth it! The opening bands were great. New Politics had excellent energy, AM Taxi rocked out pretty good and Tyler Hilton was amazing! Spill Canvas was the reason i bought the tickets... their stage show was a little weak and I didn't get why they played mostly old tunes... Seems like they are trying to re-invent themselves into more of a mainstream band, but they kept going basck to older semi-depressing songs.... Dont get me wrong, i dig their older stuff... but the newer music has such better energy... Just my opinion. I would def check them out live again

Music was really good. Spill Canvas is great live and deserved a better venue. The Triple Rock and the rest of the crowd was nothing special. Enjoyable music, lame atmosphere. Average, but I got my moneys worth.

The opening bands AM Radio and I can't remember the first band were not family friendly. It was supposed to an all ages show and they were grabbing themselves and swearing continuously. TYLER HILTON WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!! He's great and put on an amazing show. I didn't stay for the Spill Canvas because I was so disappointed in the two other bands I didn't want to waste my time. I thought these bands would be good since I love Tyler Hilton. The price was worth seeing Tyler but I was extremely disappointed in the rest of the show.

It was great. Liked Spill Canvas, but Tyler Hilton made the show!!! Tyler is a great musician and showman, really personable and friendly. He made time to greet the fans, take pictures and sign autographs, as all the bands did. But, Tyler is a genuinely nice person and man can he sing!!

The Spill Canvas was amazing, my only criticism of the whole experience was there were far too many opening acts, and only one of them was any good lol, they were called AM Taxi. The rest were easily forgettable. Like I said too many openers left us being there waaaay too long

Pretty good show, not too packed, which was nice. They played for a little over an hour, which for me was a little light. They had 3 opening bands which was also annoying, cause they werent very good. But they rocked it out while they were up there, and thats what you want to see. Overall I cant wait until they are back in town!
