Our grand daughter was so excited for the before the show fun face painting, animal rides, big slides, but when we got to our seats and the lights went down she was just amazed! The high wire acts and animal acts were so exciting, the clowns made her laugh so hard and those keystone cops..... I would recommend this circus to everyone young and old it will always be a great memory to recall for years to come.
The show was great at holding the attention of my 2 children under 5. I recommend it for this age group because of my experience. I don't promote Ticketmaster for their outrageous fees, nor the Salem Civic Center in Salem, VA for the poor condition of the venue. My child couldn't sit on the seat without his feet hitting the person in front of us because the seats are on top of each other.
it was a really nice place to be at. very family oriented. I had the oppurtunity to take my 5yr old nephew. He loved it. He enjoyed the tigers and the motorcycle on the rope and many other things. It was a bit crammed in seating but it depends on the place where the circus is held. All in all it was really great. He was even able to ride the elephants.
I especially enjoyed the little dog that came out of the elephant costume. The elephants looked tired and unhappy. The Tiger "trainer" acted too overdramatic. The tumblers did too much silly dancing around. All the acts were exciting and eye catching. Many feats of daring and excitment.
At first I believed this would be a fun family event and entertaining as well. Unfortunately, we had to leave early because we could not bear to see animals treated in such a cruel way. After a semi entertaining tiger show, the poor animals had to go reluctantly into their small cages. We ended up leaving after a ridiculous clown skit show set a poor example to adults and kids of how animals can be treated as toys. Animals are free spirits and should not be treated like a toy. YES, they are pets, but you should treat them with respect. A poor dog was dressed up as a toy elephant and was handled like a toy by the clown. After kicking several stuffed animals 20+ plus yards because he did not get them to move after winding them up, he drug this poor dog around like a rag doll. Holding it by its tail and feet and shaking the dog violently to "make it work" after pretending to wind it up. I am an animal lover as well as the lady that went with me, and we just could not bear to see this. I had to leave with my lady as she was in tears. If you want entertainment, this is not something you want to see. I admit there are some amazing human stunts, but this is not the example we want to set for our younger generations as to how to treat animals.
Great stuff....glad I took the granddaughter. We'll have tremendous memories to share.

ANYTHING THAT MAKES MY KIDS SMILE AND HAPPY I ENJOY. MY GIRLS PARTICULARLY LIKED THE WOMEN WHO CLIMBED UP THESE LONG WHITE (LOOKS LIKES BED SHEETS) AND DANCED. THAT PERFORMANCE WAS SO PRETTY AND LIKE I SAID ME KIDS WERE SMILEING THE WHOLE TIME. OF COURSE THE KIDS LOVED ALL THE ANIMALS ELEPHANTS WERE THE BEST THEY HAVE SO MUCH PERSONALITY. I TRULY LOVED THE CLOWNS AND THAT ONE PERFORMANCE WERE THE CLOWN PLAYS WITH THREE STUFFED ANIMALS AND ONE IS REALLY REAL, I THINK THAT WAS ADORABLE!!!!!!! I PERSONALLY THINK THERE SHOULD BE MORE CLOWN ACTIVITY DURING THE SHOW. MY FRIEND THOUGHT THAT THE HUMAN CANNONBALL WAS REALLY COOL. THE ONLY THING THAT I THINK SHOULD BE CONSIDERED IS THE PRICE OF THINGS OMG!!!!!!!! 3 BOTTLED WATER WERE ALMOST 10 DOLLARS IT WAS RIDICULUOS THEY SHOULD CONSIDER MAYBE LOWER PRICES FOR KID SIZE THINGS. ANYWAY OVERALL THE SHOW WAS VERY GOOD, WE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY OF OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, I WOULD EVEN SAY WHEN THE CIRCUS COMES BACK WE WOULD LIKE TO GO AGAIN. MY CHILDREN HAD A WONDERFUL TIME

I attended the Barnum and Bailey Circus a few months ago and Alzafar Shrine Circus beats it hands down! You will not find the elaborate flash and pomp of Barnum and Bailey but the performances in Alzafar Shrine are of far better quality and much more fun and entertaining. I took my 17-month old baby and she loved it! Even the clown entertainment was better! I really recommend this circus to everyone- especially if you have young kids.

Three generations of going to the Circus including myself. This was my grand daughter's first Circus and she was hypnotized by all the action going on... Great showmanship from all performers..Sorry to see the Elephants going away...Spoke directly to several of the performers and the Ring Master . All were very nice. Especially the Ring Master and the Snake lady.. Hope to see you again next year..

The Shrine Circus was a good family time. It's small scale but fun. We had great seats and were able to see all three rings easily. My grandkids thoroughly enjoyed it, but their hands down favorite was Johnny Rocket, especially when he was on the motorcycle up in the air. On the downside, the intermission was a real pain, they allowed kids to go down to the rings for various rides, etc. It took forever to get people back to their seats when their kids hadn't gotten their rides yet. Really held up the momentum of the show. That sort of thing should be done at the end. The other downside was the live animals. For the very short performances that they did, it seemed hardly worth their upkeep or transportation. I think circuses can do fine without live animals. It's always sad to see them "performing" like little robots. But, my grandkids enjoyed all of it, their first time at a circus and there was plenty of entertainment for them.

Way too much junk to entice kids...I knew their would be stuff but it was relentless. Luckily we were prepared with $1 glow Sticks from the dollar tree but if you bought everything for 3 kids that they threw in their face repeatedly you would be well over $100 & that's not counting actual food. That's the light up crap and face painting and rides and animal rides and such. More aerial acts would have been nice like aerial silk and such.

The circus itself was fun and it had a lot of interesting moments. The audio quality was oftentimes very poor, which I believe was more of a result of the speakers than the PA system. The tigers were a sight! 14 in all. The trampoline guys were a blast.

We loved the shortened version of the show, it was just long enough and we did not miss not having an intermission. I understand you did not do this at all the performances but we liked it a lot. We were able to get home at a decent hour and make it to school the next day without being so tired. We also liked the faster pace of the show, it really kept our attention. This circus is so much more enjoyable than any of the others. We love that the clowns are outside and interact so much with the crowd. We have a special needs daughter and she just loves the clowns and getting her picture made with them. It creates special memories for her and she looks at the pictures all year!

Our first time at the circus but j must say I was quite impressed the show has a little of everything. Tigers and elephants clows and Magic. Acrobats and gymnastic. I was amazed by how many different things were involved. Also the Shiners themselves were fantastic! They were kind friendly and beyond helpful. I I felt like I was at a strip club the majority of the show (at least the first half I stayed for) was half naked girls twirling in the air. I myself didn't mind that . However I took my five year old. And the only part he remembers is the three guys beating the tiger in the head and face with broom stick handles because it did not want to leave the cage to perform. I'll never take the kids to see this circus again. Actually went on 3/27/14 Seats 215 11 and 12

Arriving at the event and seeing the clowns was awesome, and made me think this was gonna be a great show for my kids and I. The start of the show seemed a little unorganized but it was a circus so it was expected. The show quickly went down hill after that, the worst part was the elephant. This part had a lot of mothers in tears watching any animal being treated like that. I guess we contribute to it by even going to a circus but there were some performers worth seeing. I will not be attending any more.

I check my 10 and 12-year-old son to this circus. When we left my eldest son said mom this was the best night ever. We went an hour early which left us perfect time to find seats, do petting zoo, & get snacks. Everything was $5 or more, so be prepared by eating beforehand to save a little cash. However, you can't leave a circus without having popcorn, funnel cake, or coton candy!

The circus itself was great since my 7 yr old had never been. But the coupons weren't what we expected. We paid $81.xx for 3 children and 2 adults because the FREEPASS wasn't exactly what I thought..... not to mention those selling stuff insisted on parking themselves directly in front of us DURING THE SHOW. Every time we asked them to move they stood there longer....extremely rude! $45 for 3 children to take 2 laps around on an elephant!!! Sad :(

I highly recommend the Shrine Circus in Frisco. I took my 5 yr old daughter and we both loved it! It had lots of different acts and I was very impressed by their talents. You definitely get your money's worth. If going to the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco take cash. There's only one ATM in the whole bldg and the line was very long. Most of the concessions and vendors did not accept cards. Check the Shrine Circus website for some of the acts and for special deals on some dates. There's even more to the show than what's on the website. You and your kids will love it!

I did not personally attend, instead I purchased 18 tickets as Christmas presents. It was a mini family reunion to get my family to spend time together. It worked and they all loved it !!! I got to see the pictures they took and there is no doubt by the smiles on their faces that they had a wonderful time. My sister is still amazed on the elephant standing on the drum! The children got to ride the elephant which just completed their night. The only thing that I heard that might need considering is the volume of the music, it was a little loud!!! The ages ranged from 6 months to 57 years old and most of them had never been to the circus before. They could not stop talking about !!

I had not been to the circus for 20 years and this show was great, and the kids enjoyed it as well. Very bright and colorful with new updated acts like the BMX bikers. Only disappointment was that most of the "poses" at end of the performance were to the other part of the audience. the performers would have their backs to our side, and it was consistent. I would have liked to see more balance in the endings.

The circus had more events to offer than I expected and the acts were really great. I did not give it an amazing because the reserved seats that I purchased, always had attendants standing in front of us blocking our view. The price for the fun stuff like the elephant ride was $15.00, a slide down the tiger was $6.00. Ridiculous prices. I know it's for a good cause, but geez louise. The clowns presented my granddaughter a dolphin, that they signed and had their picture made with her because the friends in front of us, told them that Hope just attended her mother's funeral the day before. That was a really nice gesture.

The girls were old enough to understand what was happening and young enough to be amazed. There was also pony and elephant rides, face painting bouncers and meeting of the clowns. The Circus put on a great show. I did think however the intermission was a bit too long and not necessary at all. I felt the only reason they had it was to sell more rides on the horses and elephants, which i thought was a bit too expensive after buying the tickets to get in. Leave that to b4 and after the show. The only thing i was disappointed in was that there wasn't a swinging trapeze artist at all. Although i enjoyed the acrobatic girls on the ropes and long fabric strips, there isn't anything like several trapeze artists. In fact i was shocked there wasn't one included in the show.. other than that..great show!

The Shrine Circus is a must for everyone to see at least once in their life! We have gone twice now w/ our boys aged 6 and 3. Last years was different from this years and both were just as good.
We took our grandson to the circus, and he was in awe, awaiting every next performer. However, after having gone, I realized he was just our excuse for buying tickets. It was fabulous! Riding the elephant was a bit intimidating for a 3 year old, but he will never forget the pony ride in center ring.
WE HAD THE BEST TIME TAKING OUR 4 YEAR GREAT NEPHEW TO THE CIRCUS. I GOT THE VERY BEST SEATS I'VE EVER HAD TO ANY EVENT. PLAN TO DO IT AGAIN. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP AT TICKET MASTER...........YOU ARE AWESOME
I thought the circus was great!! I bought floor tickets so they were a bit more expensive. I didn't expect a $10 elephant ride, a $7 pony ride, a $6 face painting, a $10 snowcone in a light up cup, a $4 bag of cotton candy. There were no trapeeze swingers. I thought the dogs were wonderful and the elephants had to be my most favorite part. I thought the elephant/dog mime act was really cute. When the elephant would keel over, the little boy in front of me would cry! My daughter had a great time and we will go back....just maybe hope for a discount on tickets.
I was very pleased with the show and the offering at intermission. He injoyed the elaphant ride. My grandson only had one complant Cannon lady was to loud.(4 years old)
It was a great evening , my grandchildren loved it as it was thier first circus. to see the excitment in thier eyes was wonderful.... Thanks to the shriners for caring so much for so many .
This was my very first time ever going to The Circus, I loved every part of the show!! It was exciting and the cast performed perfectly. My children loved it and we will be going every year from now on :)
I have seen dozens of circuses over a hundred shows, and traveled with circuses twice as a musician, and I can say without a doubt that this circus was BY FAR the worst circus I've ever seen. Anyone over the age of 2 was horribly bored. Amateur, very elderly creepy clowns who sat around not smiling. 2/3 of the time the circus was on "break". EVERY act was the worst example of that kind of act I've seen in 45 years of circus attending. The "big" act was two teenagers with motorcycles jumping on ramps - just like my neighbors used to do in their back yard. The ring master was met with deadpan from the audience because he had a small personality and smaller energy level at the microphone. The aerial act was doing the stuff they teach you at circus school the first two days - and they STILL couldn't land any more than 30% of their act. Clown acts not funny to anyone - they looked like it was their first time in front of an audience. Costumes dirty and boring. Sound horrible. THE WORST CIRCUS I'VE SEEN. IT"S NOT EVEN GOOD TO MAKE FUN OF - just boring and sad.

Actual event time is only 2 hours. They had a break time of 50 mins for elephant and camel rides which are priced at $12 per person. This seems to be little high price. All of their acts were really good and worth the price. Kids enjoyed the show very much. I would recommend this to my friends.

My family and I were so excited to take my 2.5 year old son to the circus for the first time. However, we were really disappointed. We all felt like the show was all about selling things and not about entertainment. It felt like the acts were just there as an afterthought to selling overpriced items.

I definitely am in support of the Shriner's Club but this circus was an old money pit! I took my adult daughter and my 2 year old grandson. He was very excited to see the elephants but $12 each a ride and then one of us would have to ride with him? No thank you! The acts was very poor. The jugglers continued dropping their items, so not exciting, an older lady performed on the swing, did a balancing act, was not exciting, trained bears, not attention keeping, motorcycles in the cage was captivating, the silly clown acts, not at all entertaining. The hobo Italian clown, was very old, not funny, nor painted up like a clown. The 1 HOUR INTERMISSION, so that all the kids could beg for a $15 light up toy, a small $10 cup of slushee, a very small $5 box of popcorn, a $6 fry with only a half cup of fries given. was ridiculous! as far as the side with the carnival I didn't even check those ticket prices! SO we left (along with many others I seen walking out) before the 2nd half started. So unless it was completely different and spectacular, we did not miss much! I understand that this is a fundraiser but after paying $30 per admission ticket. The inside prices was absolutely ridiculous! I am a professional with a decent job. I felt horrible for the families that was there not able to make any purchases because of the sky high prices. I have been to little county circus's that was by far better than this small circus. I will not be attending anymore Shriner Circuses unless they change their circus company. If I am spending that much money I will be taking the little one to an indoor water park or amusement park! PITIFUL!

The Circus was great entertainment hopefully a hugh majority of the money raised truly went to the Children and families in need. Because it is EXPENSIVE!!! We were there 2 years ago and did not remember having to pay $20.00 per child to ride the rides. Between the admission for 4, 2 wrist bands for the kids to ride, food, drinks this event cost us well over $400.00 for a day of entertainment. Don't know if this is reasonably affordable for the average family especially if it is a large family.

Had fun but thought the extras were overpriced. 25$ for a wristband to ride 8 rides for an hour or 2? Stopping the circus to push parents to buy glow junk?? Huh? Really? An hour intermission with 10$ grainy Polaroids and more overpriced junk and 10$ snow cones? Too funny!! Way to take advantage Shriners.....and can t leave a review if someone else used the nickname you chose. Haha too funny.

The first hour of the Aladdin Shrine circus was good and entertaining. However, it was followed by an hour long intermission, which was excessive. It seemed like the whole point of the intermission was just to squeeze more money out of people as they re-opened the carnival and animal rides, which were quite expensive. An hour was way too long for intermission and it was followed by only another half hour of show. During that last half hour, they moved the motorcycle ramp for the last act right in front of my section, completely blocking everyone's view of the clown act. All of the children in our section were really upset that they couldn't see the clowns. I have fond memories of going to this circus as a child, but will probably not return next year with my children.

In error, I thought the the tickets I purchased were to circus that had retired its animals (Ringling Brothers). This circus does in fact have animals, and upon my realization it was too late to return the tickets, as I had purchased the night before. While I never saw the animals be physically hit or mistreated in that respect, the idea that they are paraded around and forced to participate in unnatural behavior (walk on their hind legs) is disgusting. The bears were so nervous they were urinating all over. I was in tears and left at the first intermission. I will never attend another circus event with animals as part of the show and had I been able to obtain a refund, I wouldn t have this time either.

not enough animal acts. 2 elephants and 2 bears. also a camel for rides. old days had 5 elephants, lions and tigers, bears. bigger and better acts. couldn't understand the clown acts (at times inaudible) and they weren't too funny. had better memories of the last circus I saw as an adult.

Stellar fun and memories for all! The show itself was spectacular! The rides were a blast! The games were fun and did NOT appear to be rigged like you sometimes see at carnivals. We won a prize nearly every time! My only advice is to make sure you bring plenty of money for tickets for the rides and concessions. You'll want to do it all!! I'm SO glad we went!

My kids had so much fun, it was not overly crowded but the extra amenities like pictures, balloons, food and rides were extremely overpriced.
