The songs were great. I liked he didn't have an opening act. I'd like to hear a lot more from him. I tried on a forum to encourage him to come play Mountain Stage in WV to boost his career early on.

Pete Yorn was amazing!! He played everything we wanted (not really) but the guy can't be there all day I guess! Haha! What he did play though was AMAZING! One fan was even shouting out a song and Pete decided to add it right then to his encore and played an acoustic version of "Burrito". It blew our mind away. If your not a Pete fan than you need to change your mind!!! In my top 5 best shows ever!!!! I will never forget it!

Holy amazaballs! Pete, an acoustic guitar, mike and the occasional harmonica in a small club environment. No words can do justice to how incredible this show was. In a world full of auto-tune and computerized pop nonsense, he's the real deal. A true talent. <3 <3 <3.
Last night was the 3rd time that I have seen Pete Yorn, my second time at center stage. The concert opened with a smokey little singer named Zee Avi, lovely start to a great evening of live music. Pete Yorn did not disappoint I love to watch and look at that beautiful man. He played so many of my favorite songs with all that emotion and energy. I am definitely digging his new music and promptly went out to grap a cd during the concert. I have been a huge fan of his music and will continue to be. Keep writing those great lyrics pete and do come back soon to my favorite venue....Center Stage.

This is my 3rd time seeing Pete Yorn in person and I've always been impressed. He sounds just as good, if not better, than he does on his albums. There is a great energy at his shows and he played some of his best songs from each of his albums. Can't wait until he comes back to Atlanta.

Pete Yorn put on a good show, but i have to say I was dissapointed with the talent he surrounded himself with. The other members of the band, excluding the drummer who was really wailing away, seemed disinterested and acted like they really didn't want to be there.

Great show by an up and coming talent. Loved his set list, including the New Order cover. And have loved the Roxy since I was in high school. Actually saw Warren Zevon (and met him backstage)there back in 1980. Closing the circle, Mr. Yorn covered Warren's "Splendid Isolation" on his third album -- and the tune also was included on Warren's tribute "Enjoy Every Sandwich". Good Karma!

The last time I saw Pete Yorn was about 7 years ago. SInce then he has put out three more albums and his band has grown. I went to the show with high expectations and Pete and his band delivered. The set list was the perfect mix of older songs and new songs. Pete and his band were really good about getting the audience involved. Besides one or two feedback issues, the sound was great, the best I've heard in a while.

All the Pete Yorn shows I've been to have been great and this one is no exception. The venue is nice because it is small and good audio. I've seen him at the Wiltern and it is good but if you're in the pit from other places it not as good. Here it was really good everywhere. Yorn covered all albums including the Westerns EP and some b-sides and unreleased songs. He talked with audience and vocals and instruments were great.

It is a pleasure watching someone who is a true songwriter/musician. Nowadays, music seems so mundane amd uninspiring. This is not the case with Pete Yorn's music. His lyrics are prose and and his music is creative. He is a real performer, I have seen his perform several times and he never disappoints. I would defininitely see him again and again. The fans are also a lot of fun.

This was my first time seeing Pete Yorn who has been one of my favorite artists for years. While most musicians sound better recorded and mixed, Pete Yorn is even better in person. Though the crowd was quite diverse as far as age, it was awesome to see people getting together and reveling in the moment! Pete Yorn is a great performer! I've seen many sell-out arenas, yet those performers lacked something that Pete had; he had a closeness with his audience, a connection. His opening act, Erik Baker was pretty good. I only heard of him just before the show. The show lasted for about 2+ hours, but indeed a great time! I can't wait until Pete is in Florida again! No distance(I drove 2 hours)is too far!!!

I only caught the last song of JD King, and while it isn't exactly my kind of music I wasn't entirely impressed either. I'm not going to say he's no good, because I can't base it all on the last 3/4's of one song. That being said... thenewno2 was awful. They sounded like a really bad version of Radiohead. If I wouldn't have lost my place on the balcony, I would've left during their entire set. Nothing redeeming in their performance. Pete Yorn, however, was fantastic. I always appreciate it when a live show is just as good or better than the studio material, and this was certainly the case. Excellent show, great song selection, and good energy. I can't wait for him to come back to the Del Mar Racetrack so I can catch the show again. Definitely worth seeing.

Absolutely amazing. The great venue combined with such a talented artist, really made for one of the best shows I've ever been to. I saw Pete in NYC a few years back. Although he always sounds awesome, it was crowded and for a short girl, that's no fun. This show was much more intimate and it helped to be right up front! This was my second time seeing Pete Yorn. I have enjoyed his music since his first album in 2001. Doors opened at 7. My friend and I arrived at about 7:30 hoping to catch the opener. There was no opener. The room filled and filled and filled, and the show finally started at 9. Pete played until about 9:50, left the stage, and came back for another 30 minutes. The show would have gotten five stars had it not been for all the down time. He should have gone on at 8, or opened the doors later. No reason to have us all waiting around for almost 2 hours. Aside from that, he played well. It was fun to hear the new songs and old favorites. Great crowd.

great show, great location. Acoustic set was a nice touch. sound system was outstanding as you could hear everything very well. Show lasted a little less than 90 minutes and would have liked to see it last a little longer. Pete's got over 90 songs so it's not like he is short on material. Also he played a few cover songs, not a fan of that, he's a great singer-songwriter and I'm very content listening to him play his stuff for the entire time. I have been an avid listener of Pete Yorn's music for many years. How he has not achieved more recognition for his incredible songwriting skills is beyond me. In my opinion, he can do it all; slow ballads, hard rockers, tunes with those goose-bump moments (just listen to "The Man" a few times, and it will grow into your favorite song). He can perform live with a full band, and as he proved it Friday night, he is incredible alone with his guitar and a microphone. This was the first time I've seen PY live, but I hope it won't be the last.

A great double bill... Pete Yorn and Ben Kweller. If you want to get out and see just a great rock show, this was the perfect combination. No fancy productions in an intimate venue, just pure heartfelt music! I had never seen Ben Kweller before and it was good to finally see him perform some of his personal classics live. He was excited to be back in New York and much more impressive than I could have imagined. And Pete Yorn, one of the most under rated musicians and performers, really stood up and rocked out for the night! I've seen him play a few times but tonight thought he was comfortable, confident and just nailed it. A great show!

Unless you are a huge fan of Ben Kweller, you could easily skip this part of the show. Unfortunately, an indie band called Well Spring played before Kweller, and they were worth seeing. Kweller's set just really dragged, and it seemed to be background music for everyone as they chatted with friends and waited for Pete to come on. When Pete Yorn came on it was amazing, though. He played new and old hits and was just as charming in person as I imagined he would be. Definitely a show worth seeing, and one I would go to over and over.

after nearly ten years, pete yorn is still putting out solid music. his live set still relies primarily on cuts from his first album, musicforthemorningafter, but he mixes in good songs from his newer material as well. heck, he even through in an unexpected cover by new order...i won't give away the song title...that worked really well and kept the pace of the show moving along. he didn't play my favorite song from his new album, back and forth, but that's OK as he and the band still gave the lackluster/too drunk/too talkative crowd a good performance. if you have the means, i recommend you catch the show.

The first time I saw Pete Yorn was about 7 years ago...and he still is cranking out interesting melodies and lyrics..and still knows how to connect with his audience. What a treat to see such a great talent in such a small and charming venue--The Blue Note in Columbia MO. Pete had a great mix of new tunes and old favorites that he rocked the house with. The audience, too, was a mix of new fans taking it all in, and old fans who new all the words and new when to start revving up their dance moves as any given tune began to climax. (myself included!)

Has been a couple of years since I saw him live. Pete and the band definitely brought great energy to the last show of their tour. Nothing fancy. Just a great set of songs that had the crowd singing along through much of the show. As much as I like his albums, you really have to him in concert, preferably at a smaller venue such as the Music Box, to appreciate how talented he is. If you are even a casual fan of his music, and have never seen him live, make a point to catch him next time he is in town.

What a great show! How this artist is not better known is beyond me. His music is diverse as he'll range from a mellow acoustical ditty to an upbeat electric guitar number, while wailing on his harmonica with a horn section playing in the background. His live performances are nothing short of amazing. He really pours his heart and soul into each song. If you haven't seen Pete live, do yourself a favor and try to catch him on his next tour at a small venue. You won't regret it.

I've been a HUGE fan of Pete since his "The Morning After Cd". This was the first time I was able to catch him live. I was center stage about 5ft from the stage. AWESOME concert! He played a wonderful mix of all the great tunes he has. I can't wait to see ya again when ya come back Pete!!!

I thought the show from beginning to end was filled with high energy and fun. The band was spirited and Pete's voice rocked. My only complaint was it was short (only an hour to an hour and a half). I was not ready for it to be over. I would definitely see Pete Yorn again!

Wonderful surprise to see Zee Avi open for Pete Yorn. Saw her on youtube a while back and was impressed. I'm very thankful to have gotten the opportunity to see her live. Beautiful young woman, gorgeous voice, awesome personality. Pete Yorn defeated the evening with an excellent performance. Him and the rest of the group knocked every song out of the venue. They kept crowd involved the whole night. I've noticed Pete Yorn has gained quite a following. He's successful but not drowned in the mainstream. I love it, the show was packed and yet intimate. I was disappointed, however, by the few in the crowd who would talk through Pete Yorn's set. The rest of us came to see him perform. Please show some respect. I was most impressed with the introduction of Pete Yorn's cover of Bizarre Love Triangle. I was first exposed to that song by Frente's version back in the early nineties. Overall, one of the best shows of my life! Right next to T Model Ford and GravelRoad. I've become a fan of Zee Avi through that night as well. Afterall, she did steal my heart that night ;)

Zee Avi was breathtaking. I'm a devotee for small venues, and with Zee early in her first U.S. tour and career, it was very special seeing her-she was my featured presentation and main attraction. I didn't know who Pete Yorn was until I bought his CD to see what he was like AFTER buying the tickets to see Zee. Pete Yorn and his band look and play like rock stars, but have cult followers that keep him unique. I was about 10 feet from a speaker and have never heard anything so loud. It was electric.

The atmosphere was great. The sound was good. It just cracked me up when he played burrito because so many people were requesting it. Who would have thought?! :P

I try not to miss a chance to see Pete Yorn when he is in the area. His incredible talent to write such great songs with terrific arrangements and to sing them with either a romantic quality or his gritty, "Springsteen-esque" style. The band on tour is very talented and professional, adding to the the quality of his live shows. Fabulous concert !

Great show. Seriously. I've never seen Pete Yorn before. Had tickets a few years before, but there was a horrible snow storm that night and we decided not to go. Man, pretty sad that I didn't! This was a great show. I thought it would be rather acoustic judging by his albums. Not so. A very rocking show. It's also nice to see a band really enjoy its' audience. New York crowds can be a little stand-offish and I feel that artists sometimes hold themselves back for that reason when they play here. That's not a problem with Yorn and his band.

I went in to Pete Yorn's Webster Hall show on July 28 as a casual fan, and left as a superfan. (Before, I was just excited that someone I liked was playing on one of my days off!) He played a lot of his songs that I knew, and a lot more that I didn't but am now compelled to purchase... His singing ranged from a whisper to a howl sometimes, and rocked so much more than I thought possible. The cover of "Bizarre Love Triangle" and the rabid tambourinist were special treats. The bottom line: Go see him! If you're already a big fan, you'll be singing along with everyone else. If you're not already a big fan, you'll leave the concert as one.

What can I say? Pete Yorn engaged the crowd, wowed with his stage presence, and killed every song. Great set. Everyone sang along, word for word, great crowd. Wonderful concert. Love him even more now. Wish I could go back for the second performance.

I heard Zee on WZBC in May and bought her CD a couple of days later. Since then I've listened to it a ton of times and have told so many people about her - in person, on Facebook, on Twitter - everywhere. Seeing her live last night was just great - her songs are sweet and her voice is just something else. I was able to meet her and get her photo for my 1000 Faces project. It was a totally great night.

This was a really good concert from start to finish. The opener was better than expected, the setlist had just about everything you would expect (and some surprises!), and the wait between acts was typical. He also varied things enough to keep it fun throughout.

I liked the intimate space. The acoustics were excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
The show was absolutely amazing!! I have seen Pete Yorn many times in Columbus, this was probably my favorite!! He is a great artist and I can't wait for his new album!
I had never seen Pete live before and I'm happy I was able to experience him in a small intimate venue. The crowd was great and really into him. His sets were good. My only complaint was he didn't play anything at all from his album with Scarlett Johanson. While I certainly did not expect her to be there, he could have had another female to sing her parts. I do love his new album, though, so it was great to hear it all live.
It was great to see them both together...felt like I was getting a lot for my $. Pete Yorn has a great presence about him when he plays. He comes across so humble and down to earth. Love that about him!
Was my first time at the Wildhorse, and I really liked the venue and the space. Pete Yorn put on a great show, loved it. No complaints about the venue or the show I'll definately see more shows there.
