It was so hard to hear the actresses. Sound system was not good I was 2nd row and could not understand what they were saying. I think it could have been more happy than dealing with death sadness Actresses did perform well

Once or twice a year, the "girl" cousins in our family get together for a few hours of fun and laughs. We thought this would be a great venue to get together this year and it didn't disappoint us. We laughed, we sang and we danced. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!

This show was fantastic and so much fun! Absolutely hilarious! The audience went wild for it and was up dancing and singing throughout the performance. The songs are terrific and the actresses were belting their lungs out! My girlfriends and I had the time of our lives and can't wait to see it again! I have already recommended it to all my facebook friends! I just joined the GIrls Night: The Musical fan page on facebook too, where they offer some discounts to upcoming shows to fans.

I felt The synopsis of the show was good, it just didn't flow well. it was not clear at first, that the mother was dead (an angel) at her daughter's baby shower at the bar (the daughter was not even in the picture for a long time)and the stories and the song they lead into didn't mesh very well. There were some powerful singing voices on stage. The group of girls I was with, of varying ages, all pretty much agree, it was OK. Venue rating 4 / show rating 2

I brought a group of friends in their 60 s thinking the show was about the music of the 70 s and 80 s. Instead it was raunchy, disrespectful. The cast was talented but it was not at all what we expected. The audience was rude yelling and standing making it difficult to even watch. Many audience members were helped out intoxicated. Not the quality show I expected from the Shubert.

I really hate to give a bad review. But I was so excited to see this show ... and so disappointed. It was more silly than funny. And amateurish. Definitely not worth the $45 price of tickets. If I had paid $20, I might have felt better about the level of performance. I bought 3 tickets and invited guests... and it was rather embarrassing. It just wasn't what I expected - not the level of all other professional shows I have seen. Not worth the price. Very disappointed.

This show was a big disappointment. The entire production felt like a high school quality production with some raunchy, tacky R-rated humor sprinkled throughout. A couple seated in front of my group actually got up and left in the first half.

This show was so funny, and we laughed the whole time. Dialogue was funny, the music went with the script and added so much to the story. I have never laughed so much in my life. I would recommend this to any woman who has the chance to see it. I would love to see it again. Hope it will come out on a DVD so I can watch it as many times as I want to.

I was so excited to be going to this event with an old friend that I hadn't seen in a long time. Having seen the Musical, "Menopause" I just knew this one would be equally funny. Instead, I found this one to be depressing. I am not a prude by any means, however you have a 16 year old who gets pregnant by her friend's boyfriend & dies at 17. I am a lady who had my first child at 17, so I could relate. However, the storyline was so depressing. I did laugh a few times, the singers were pleasant even with the sound issues that happened a few times. I think maybe I just looked to forward to the event? I hate being negative, just being honest with my opinion... If I had of seen this musical first- I would have never gone to see Menopause.

The show was absolute entertainment. If anything those in the show probably wished the audience was interactive . . . but no fault to their trying. And unfortunately at a touching moment in the play, the section above our balcony seats apparently allowed children to run and romp around. Very distracting at this time. So much the thought crossed my mind to find someone to complain, but chose not to as I was trying to enjoy the show with my family. I have to admit I questioned the allowance of small children in the show at all. Throughout the play they romped and stomped above us, but thankfully most of the show was more upbeat with singing and laughter that we could ignore the noise behind/ above us. And we knew it was small children as they looked over the railing.

Had a wonderful time with my girlfriends. One of my friends had just got some bad news from spouse and was sick. She still managed to meet us out there and had a great time. She thought it was going to be a typical musical and was pleasantly surprised. It was very entertaining. I would recommend no children, as it had a lot of adult humor and sexual content. Typical life situations but nothing a child should listen to.

As a lover of all things musical, I was so excited to attend Girl's Night with a group of girlfriends. What a disappointment. I've honestly seen better productions at the Middle School level. There is nothing original. You would be better off visiting you local bar on Karoake night. I really was shocked. I still cannot wrap my mind around the $60 price tag on this "Gong Show." We left at Intermission because tolerating anymore would've been unbearable. I did notice that there was a large group of older women who were enjoying themselves, but our group of five ranging from 32-44 was tortured. Don't waste your money!

One funny moment during the opening scene and than it went downhill. We were looking forward to listening to those old hits, until the girls opened their mouth and started singing. Some kids from kindergarten would sing 100x better. It sounded as a very bad karaoke. We couldn't wait for the break to leave the theater. There was no way to finish watching this show. We were not the only ones who left during that time. Several more people couldn't stand it either.

I am middle aged and by no means a prude. I took my mother and was completely embarrassed, it was vulgar, trashy and low budget. The audience was full of drunk, obnoxious women. The language was unacceptable as well as the topics that were in the dialog. The sound was horrible, the bathroom was trashed, and when I reported the condition of the bathroom they were unconcerned. I was astonished that there was no mention in the material I read that it was adult subject matter or inappropriate for children. There were several little girls in the audience, I'm sure their mothers had some explaining to do afterwards. I did notice the one in front of us left during the performance, I hope she asked for a refund. They sang several songs during the performance and their singing was great. If they could've come up with a better, more classy script I would've rated it excellent. I expect better from the Saenger Theatre.

Although I loved the energy of the performers, I was very disappointed in this musical. I'm tempted to add one star just because these women worked so hard, but can't honestly raise this beyond "poor". The humor was lame and predictable, and there was no storyline or point to it. There was much screaming and mania with little substance. And the vocal performances were mediocre at best (loud/dramatic, but often poor voicing - and this was with songs I had loved). I would not recommend this to anyone. I went with 2 other women and we all agreed that it would take a few beers to find this anything more than annoying and a total bust. I hate to pan any musical, because I am a BIG fan normally and go to many at our beautiful Embassy Theatre. Unfortunately, I can't remember ever going to another musical only to find myself anxiously waiting for it to end. Four other women next to us actually did leave at intermission.

Was looking forward to a fun night out and it started out to be! But the conversation between the girls on stage got way too raunchy for me. Poking fun at women and men can be hilarious, but I feel they went too far and didn't need that in this musical. Singing was great!

This was the worst "show" I have ever seen. My friend and I walked out. It was a disgusting sexual review. The music was screeching and the stage props rate a zero. It is sad that the Adler hosted such an event. Too bad the real description of this was not given before tickets were purchased.

It was okay. Nothing too exciting. Not a lot to it. Music was good. Characters were very static. It's fine if you go not expecting a lot. The sound system went in and out and at times was entirely way to loud. There weren't many people there to absorb some of the sound. It wasn't what I anticipated it to be either. My friends and I are in agreement on this.

Play was very low- budget, no costume changes, no set changes. Overall, I would expect this from a local theater group or small team. I would not have expected to see this on the Adler's stage. The storyline didn't really make much sense. Why would a gal that is recently engaged go party with her late mom's friends when she never even knew her mom? The idea of a girls night out is fun, but the reason behind theirs didn't merry up well. But..... THE GIRLS COULD SING. I did enjoy the singing.

This was beyond sub-par on every level. From production to singing abilities. Community theater would be better than this. You could find better singers at your local Karoke hangout. Too much talkie and not enough interactive dancing and singing with the audience. Nothing against the cast, they are just doing a job. Would NEVER recommend this to anyone I know. Wasted time and money.

In the first half, we couldn't hear anything as the sound was not working. At half-time the five people beside us and the four in back of us left. Then in the second half you could hear ok but it was very vulgar. I'm not a prude but this was beyond risqué. The actresses were good, only wish they were in a better musical. I was going to take my daughters and would have been embarrassed in front of them. I love the Embassy and have always enjoyed shows there before. This was awful! They better make sure the sound is working in the future. A waste of "hard-earned" money.

Have been to many events at the Chester Fritz and have never heard worse sound: shrill and shrieking! Also the comparison to Mama Mia is someone's fantasy; it is nothing like the play/movie. The play was vulgar and crass and should have had a warning for appropriate age of attendees; I don't think I'm old enough! Very disappointing! The only highlight of the evening was the wonderful singing of the cast; they shouldn't waste their time/talent on this play.

The advertisements on TV made Girls Night look like a great show. I wonder if it is intended for audiences where alcohol is available since the Angel said something like, "Let's get wasted." when introducing the story and engaging the audience. There were entertaining and comical parts within the performance and one of the actors had an amazing voice and incredible talent. The rest were mediocre and at one point the person with whom I attended this event said, "We could get 2 other people and perform this ourselves." The blow up doll piece was just plain stupid.

If you expect a huge professional stage show production this show will disappoint. If your looking for a "fun night out" with ladies and a bit of inappropriate comedy humor shared between women this is the show for you. This show had a very simple set and the cast sang a few songs which I thought were great. A few times the cast had us stand up, sing a few songs and interact which felt like you were part of the show. We went on a Friday night after a week of work, had a great supper out and then went to the show. We laughed through the whole show and, if you like characters, all of us ladies could identify with something in the women portrayed. it was a great stress release and we laughed through the whole show.

In all my 58 years I have never seen such a terrible play slash musical. I read the reviews AFTER I had made plans to go with a friend, and had warned her that we made need to go "ironically." We couldn't even do that. If I gave my cats pens and paper they could have pawed together a better story line. It was such boring dribble drabble that I was literally shivering from disgust in my seat. The poor actors (or should I say actresses as no one writing this crap would call a woman an actor); they did what they could with the terrible script. It may have been written in the 1950's, it was so misogynistic. Yeah, yeah, we get it; women have babies and steal each other boyfriends and get drunk and lie to their husbands and sing about loss, all in a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Seriously, who wrote this? And thought it was good? The (good) songs were done reasonably well but I could feel my brain swelling from the nonsense that I was forced to endure. I yearn fro a time before this play as I will never be able to UNsee it. Do not go. I beg you. Save yourself!

Each girl offered talent galore!!!!! Everyone in the audience couldn't help but laugh throughout their performances. It was a reminder that some things never change, like the bond between friends, at any age, and that influences sometimes live on through memories. These friendships, though sometimes crazy, help us to understand ourselves, and help us to get through our darkest moments and come out laughing!

If I could give it a zero I would do so. I will never get back those 2 hours of my life. Worse yet, it was my suggestion for my friends and I to go to this horrific play. I saw 4 1/2 stars but didn't read the reviews. My huge mistake. I cannot even conceive how anyone could sit through this mess. Dialogue was horrible, story horrible and raunchy. Girls Night crosses the line from fun into extremely inappropriate, even vulgar. Many left at the intermission, and we wished we had! Directly into the second half, the inflated blow-up man made his entrance. Too far into the disgusting. Not funny. Singers were good, songs done fairly well, but really no plot, and the content was just too sexual.

I went with 10 other women. We attended Menopause last year as a group & thoroughly enjoyed the evening. This year we felt the story line was lacking & the sound system was not working 100%. The "angel" was sick...so the coughing was distracting...but we could tell she tried her best.. One person in our group (who is a music teacher) left at intermission because she couldn't handle them singing off key. The second half picked up a bit....but overall we were disappointed.

It was so bad that we left at intermission. It was a total waste of about $100. Enough said.

I saw the ad for this show, talked 3 of my girlfriends into going to dinner then seeing the show. I bought the tickets about 5 days prior to show, paid $56.60 per ticket. We were expecting funny entertainment and good music. We all were taken back by a show called "Girl's night out" and it was about a girl that had passed away, probably not a good start to a good fuzzy feeling for a night out. The 5 performers did an ok job for what they did. No props, backdrops, just a stage. Not what we were expecting.

We laughed so much and still the story's message of friendship and forgiveness got through. The music triggered great memories.

The music in Girls Night was fun and the "girls" had fantastic voices. They were fun to watch and had great dance moves. The only negative is the show should come with a ratings warning. A lot of sex jokes and the mid- to older-aged audience, especially, the men, were quite shocked by the content.

Girls Night Out was a waste of money. It was vulgar. Not funny. Set was so poor. Seemed like a low budget bad movie. Only positive was the ladies in the show had good voices. Do not go!!!

the show was good It was a fun night out with girlfriends. surprised the theatre was only half full. Show story line was okay. Different than what we expected. only stayed there for 1st half; moved to open seats in middle after intermission; speaker or some kind of box on the stage blocked part of the view; too much going on the left side of stage; stage set (table girls sat at whiie at the bar) should have been moved more towards the center of the stage; People in front of us, blocked our view; had to keep moving our heads right to left when they moved; assume they may have had blocked views from the people in front of them.

Really enjoyed ourselves. Many laughs, great for a woman's group, bachelorette party, or a birthday party. It was a lot of fun. I just wish they gave out a program listing characters, bio, and order of acts/intermission...

I have been a Major Concert Promoter for 35 years and it takes a lot for me to enjoy a show but Girls Night did just that. I totally enjoyed this two hour performance and laughed my ass off the entire time. When you can put on a low budget play and make the whole audience happy, your doing something right. I hope to see it again and if I get a hold of the Troup I would love to bring it to Toledo.

I attended this show with my wife and her two sisters. There was some fun ribbing of the men there since this was mostly female show. The audience interaction was great. They made you feel as tho you were part of the performance. It was sad to see so many empty seats for this great evening. The acting and singing were fantastic. I would recommend this show to anyone male or female.

I am sorry to say that I did not enjoy the show and was very disappointed in the content. Yes, there was some real talent and the music was good, but it was lost in the repetition of movement and lack of originality. I think that the cast could have put together a good half hour show, but many people left after the intermission. We, unfortunately. stayed until the end.

at times it was difficult to understand the dialog, but the music was rocking. But seems not enough to get the room moving. Certainly all participated by clapping time to songs, but as for rocking-out -- room was pretty placid. The women had awesome voices and the concept for show was outstanding. Just needed a more grooving audience

The play was ok.The music was good but the story line was strange.I saw memapause 3 times and this was not worth the 70 dollars.I think for a girls night they could have came up with something a little better.

This show was the worst show I have ever seen. We left at the intermission. The singing was about equal to a karaoke night. The dancing if you could call it that was poor. The jokes were all R rated and not funny. The costumes? what costumes, they were just normal street cloths except for the lead singer. The scenery? can you call 2 tables and some chairs scenery?

My friends and I were very disappointed with Girls Night:The Musical. We had good seats but even so we could only understand about 50% of the lines. Lines we could understand were corny humor. I think, I only laughed once, maybe twice. The music was good but because the production itself was poor the music failed to "move" the audience as it was intended to do. The set and the performances were amateurish. About the only positive thing I can say is that a couple of the performers had pretty good singing voices.

Between unrelatable characters, due to poor character development, extended unnecessary drunk karaoke ke scenes, and trivialization of women's issues in a comedic attempt, the show was an epic fail. This is sad because it had the potential to use great relatable music to draw the audience into the story and characters. The acting was sub par. It felt like they pulled this show together only days before with little to no professional help. I loved the music choices, and one singer had an incredible voice which was completely under utilized, but they only took advantage of their selections maybe two times. The other times they detracted from the songs with entire songs being sung in a drunken stupor. If we wanted to see drunk karaoke, we could go to a karaoke bar. We went to a show to be professionally entertained, not feel like we were seeing some drunk kids trying to goof around. It was a waste of my money.
