H-Town 90's Block Party

The whole concert was really good! Hope they bring more concerts to this vinue.

The concert started an hour after original time. The microphones kept going in and out. Jagged Edge and 112 seemed rushed when they performed. Didn t feel like we got the whole 90 s Block Party feel of the concert due to sound issues.

Amazing show! I recommend this venue to all of Houston.

I really enjoyed this concert and the very first thing i noticed was how it started RIGHT on time! Of the other concerts I've been too, artists would start an hour or hour and a half late... no consideration at all for their fans. This one was RIGHT on time... These artists, Next, 112, Ginuwine, Monica, and Guy, you can tell immediately showed appreciation and consideration toward their fans. Overall amazing concert... and amazing artists! The venue was awesome! Clean and well kept but then again, its brand new, so... :)

We need more concerts to come to the city like this. I enjoyed myself from start to finish.

The concert was great artist from the 90's it brought back a lot of memories.

I have not partied that hard in years. The shows started on time and all artists showed up. The venue was great the sound was on point. I would definitely be back for another event by G-Squared Events! Job well done!

The nineties was one of the greatest music eras ever so with a roster of 90's acts, I knew I was in for a treat. The new smart financial concert venue in Sugarland is a beautiful venue, and is the best concert venue in Houston in my view. I loved the set up of the concert venue as well as the lobby/ concession area. I was disappointed with Ginuwine's set, because he doesn't dance like he used too. I guess he's gotten to old for all of that. The two stand out performances was Monica and Guy. Monica's segment was engaging and had its hilarious moments and hilarious commentary. She sounds just like her records live. Guy put on a great show and headlined. Vocally every artist sounded good.

The concert was great. It started on time. The lineup was great r&b singers. The place was beautiful. It was well organized. They should have more concerts there. I definitely would come back.

Venue was nice. Performances were Dynamic! Staff was good. Concert was a bit delayed, but once it began, everyone was on their feet.

Location was great because I didn't have to travel very far. Show started late which was disappointing. Comedian started working on people's nerves and used the n word too much. Show was good but sound quality wasn't very good.

The 90 s Party was great. My sister and granddaughter were very happy. The Comedian was soooo funny. We had a fabulous time. I love the venue.

Show started almost 2 hours late! Comedian Johnson was extremely insulting to patrons, very offensive!

Enjoyed everyone but the mics were in and out squealing. Didn't start on time but the comedian made do with his time. Very funny! Seating was not comfortable due to being to close together.

I was very disappointed that the show didn't start on time, it's a waste of my time to sit for a long period of time with a comedian trying to fill space. It will make me think twice of whether or not I will come to future shows. It's bad enough you're not allowed to bring cameras in, but to have to sit and wait for the entertainment is unforgettable. The show itself was okay, I felt that 112/Jagged Edge didn't get to perform to their full potential because of the time constraints, the same with Teddy Riley/Guy and of course Keith Sweat. I have attended other shows and this was the most unacceptable one. Please try to do better in the future.

The concert was great and I really enjoyed the show.

Did not meet my expectations. The sound was horrible. The only performance that saved the show was Teddy Riley and the comedian, Gary. The others were so disappointing. On top of that the show started an hour late.

I loved the Smart Financial Center it was beautiful. Our seats were on the 3rd floor but we still had a great view.

Each act was amazing, the comedian who held it down during set-ups for the next act was hilariously funny. The event started late, but overall; the event was unforgettable z

Started extremely late. For the performers to be considered veterans, by the time they started I was tired and ready to go.

I was very disappointed with the Bands. They were late to start,Sounded terrible and the show was very poorly done. The best part was probably the host who was asked to do way too much. The later acts Guy and Keith Sweat sounded better but the way everyone just walked out of the venue during the last performance was terrible!!!! I was so looking forward to the evening. It was a big let down.

The 90's Block Party could have been spectacular, but the Microphones for JE and 112 would not work. Singers had to share Mics as well as you could not hear some of the vocals. these problems led me to questions if there was a sound check prior to the performance. Great Show, I just wish I would have been able to hear all singers when it was there time to sing.

Loved Guy , they took the show, loved the venue too , the process for entering was actually not bad

Recently moved here and was hearing all the hype about this show. Bought a ticket and had the time of my life. I partied with guy and Keith sweat.. can't wait for the next one

The concert was everything & More. The songs bought back a lot of great memories. I grew up listening to all of the performers. I absolutely love Keith Sweat; I always have, but Guy performed the BEST!❤

The 90's block party concert was amazing I enjoyed myself and loved the performances.

Great show!!! Would definitely go again! Keith Sweat was just ok. Johnny Gill could have taken his place. My opinion. But overall my favorite was Guy!!!

This was my first time attending any event at this venue and I must say it beat my expectations. I can't wait for another concert to come up so I can go back.

The show was amazing, however, it started almost 2 hours late which cut the main acts time. Other than that we really had a great time. Enjoyed the host as well

Only good thing about the show was the MC/Comedian Gary Johnson who clearly earned his money by giving us delightful entertainment. All performers were either so-so or just bad and unprepared. Sound was poor and all great Teddy Riley hits ended up sounding mediocre. I never rose to my feet once throughout the entire show. Show poorly planned, artists choreography poor and not in unison. Only went to the show because my husband wanted to attend, I was never excited to do so, now I know why. Grade the show 1 star...

We went to 90 s block party last year it was great. But this year it was terrible. The concert started way late, like an hour and a half. The group 112 steps were off, and Keith Sweat had to cut his show short because of late start he kept being in a hurry, and last but not least the comedian talked too filthy. I will never attend another 90 s block party. It is s waste of time and money.

The show was scheduled to start at 7:30. It started closer to 9. But the comedian/MC kept the crowd entertained. 112 and Jagged Edge opened the show. They all still sound so good! Guy did an excellent set. Aaron Hall s voice is still on point. They truly know how to entertain. Keith Sweat didn t perform as long as I had hoped for, due to the show starting so late. But he brought out Johnny Gill and the lead singer from Kut Klose. They all sound exactly the same! We partied and had some good grown fun. If the block party comes to your town, DONT miss it!

The concert was wonderful!! the comedian was really funny.

The venue is nice and it seems fairly new. I love that they have concession on each floor and that they have carpet! (Easy to walk in heels) The 90 s R&B concert was amazing. I absolutely loved Jagged Edge and Keith Sweat. All the guys were awesome. I d see them again in concert. They still look and sound great! I m not sure about the parking because we took Uber but everything was easy going. Seating was great and we were in the balcony! I like the venue and loved the show

The Smart Financial Center was nice, easy parking and a great location. There should be an escalator as well as multiple elevators for a venue with 3 levels. The concert started EXTREMELY late and was rushed. The jumbo screens aren't very "jumbo" but the venue isn't that large so you can see the artist on stage, just not a good close and personal view. Guy featuring Teddy Riley and Keith Sweat did a great job but Jagged Edge and 112 were rushed because of the late start and a few members expressed their displeasure on stage. Overall the concert was not worth the cost. This was a $25-50 event at the most not a $60-150 show!

The artist were amazing & the comedian did a great job keeping the crowd entertained. The show started almost 2 hours late due to technical difficulties. JE's mic's were not working & 112 had to share a mic. They pulled thru like champs tho.

The show was ok. GUY was the highlight, but Keith Sweat was the headliner. Many sound equipment problems. So many that the comedian warmup ran out of material and had to do crowd participation to stall for the acts. The packed house began leaving in the middle of Sweat s set, because he seemed uninterested in performing his solo music, which the crowd came for.

The concert was the bomb. Everyone did their thing, my favorite part was when Johnny Gill came out on stage.

Guy and Keith Sweat were awesome and so was the comedian. But my boys JD and 112 seemed to be rushing.

Event started an hour late. Paid $89 for a seat in which the view (of the stage) was partially blocked by the stair rail (poor design). Technical difficultues did affect a few performances. I didn't care for 112 - the lead singer didn't sound good at all. Jagged Edge was ok but not great. Guy, Teddy and Keith Sweat were awesome! (And I'm not really a Keith Sweat fan. He did a great show.) Love Johnny Gill too!! Overall, a good concert.

They started an hour late and the sound kept going out. They should of had a DJ to keep the party going instead of the comedian which was funny but I saw people sleeping. Guy was the only group that did great because their sound and performance was on point!

The concert was a great blast from the past. In the future, I would hope that the venue staff or artists staff will work better together to have the stage ready on time so that artists are not distracted or frustrated with the major delays. Staff should know the artists lineup, preferences and all equipment should be setup hours before the show is expected to began. Some of the artists would have performed differently if they were not upset, in addition to the first artist s sound was horrible and we could not barely understand them. It s unacceptable that the show began almost two hours later and one of the artists cut their time short. In addition, it would be nice to have people to sell items during intermission to prevent customers from continually getting up and distracting the entire row with refills and food items. I commend the comedian for taking time for those who were in the upper sections. Smart Financial should consider having cameras that can reach all areas. Overall I enjoyed the artists, music and company of my friends as we reminisced.

The concert by far was the best one ever. The lineup of entertainers was excellent. G Squared events held it down and the host was amazing.

Having Johnny Gill was a big surprise. I love Guy ! Everyone looked great & sounded good ! I enjoyed the show !!

The show started an hour plus late. Jagged Edge and 112 came on stage with some type of dispute in front of the audience. The Host became annoying. Keith Sweat appeared to be upset because of the delay. His performance wasn t his best. Overall the concert really sucked

112 & Jagged Edge were LIT!!!!! I enjoyed them more than anyone else. Guy was great too. Couldn t do Keith Sweat s whining and stiff moving self. I left during his set. But Smart Financial Center was BOGUS for how bad the set up was. They took over an hour to get the sound check completed for the show to start. It was delayed an hour. Then they cut 112 & JE s time down because the venue wasn t prepared. Otherwise it is a nice clean venue. Not a bad seat in the place.

The concert was an overall great experience. Some artists were better than others but a great mixture!

This was my first tyme attending an event and I really enjoyed myself, had some good seats @ a very reasonable price.

Everyone and everything was awesome! This was my husband and I first concert and it was amazing!

I am not the number one fan of any of the artists that performed. I do enjoy live music and concerts. It seemed that everyone except GUY was performing to tracks. Overall, it was okay. I paid close to $100 for the tickets...I have seen better shows for less. Probably would not go again if they came back, definitely not at that venue. BUT, if you are seeing this somewhere else and grew up in that era, worth the evening out.

This was the best old school concert we've been to this year. All performers were awesome and the new venue is beautiful!!! I will get front row tickets next time!!!

Had soooo much fun. The performances were great and had the whole crowd going crazy.
