Excellent concert. Showmanship at it s finest. Melissa & her band played their fingers off! It didn t hurt that we were front row either. I don t think this venue had a bad seat in the house.

Melissa really knows how to pick a venue, it was such an intimate space, not a bad seat in the house. She is taking song requests when you buy your tickets, the song i asked for wasn t played but so many songs that she doesn t usually play were because people requested them.

I love Melissa. Her concerts are always the best. I don t like Casino s! This concert hall was fine and my granddaughter and I had good seats. This was my 11 year old granddaughters first concert. We had a fabulous time. Conni Allen

Great show. Loved the idea of the one woman show!! She really rocked the house as usual. Sound system at the Venue is great which made it great to hear the acoustic guitar as well as the piano. can't wait to see her again!!!!!

Parking at The Venue (indiana) was a little confusing. Once inside, you have to walk through the casino floor, and upstairs to get to The Venue. Drinks are a little pricey, but remember, you are in a casino. Going to the city (chicago) wouldn't be any different. The show was not packed ; so although my tickets were for seats between a bunch of people, I was able to relocate to somewhere more comfortable. No one seemed to mind. The show was amazing. That was the first concert I have been to where it was just a performer and an acoustic guitar. No backup band, no tricky vocal effects. Melissa is a talented guitarist and an amazing singer. Melissa told some jokes throughout the show and did a little dancing on stage as well. Awesome! I left after what I thought was the final song, only to hear the encore begin. At this point, I was on the first floor and the ushers/security had no problem with everyone rushing the stage. A great night. Can't wait to see her again.

Had seen melissa years ago and wondered if she could still rock. Didn't know she would play an intimate venue without a backup band. Her talents are unmatched. Charisma, personality and good old rock!!

If you have not seen this show, run as fast as you can, and purchase tickets to her remaining shows. She is phenomenal. This was my third concert with Melissa and it was by far, the bes one yet. All Melissa and nothing else, no band to distract, pure Melissa. WOW WOW WOW

Melissa Etheridge's "Live and Alone Tour" stopped at the Avalon Theatre in the Niagara Fallsview Casino. The Avalon is a beautiful, intimate venu, perfect for this kind of tour. It was just Melissa, winding her way around her 12 string Ovation, her Fender and a piano like I've never heard before! Her musicianship was stellar!! A great selection of songs, and a comfortable banter with the audience made me wish the night would last forever! She mentioned that she's trying to do at least one cover, and she chose "Stay With Me". I thought no one could have done it better that Bette in "The Rose". I was way wrong. A spectacular sounding piano, coupled with her emotionally charged vocals brought tears to my eyes. If you get the chance to see this show, jump at it! Absolutely incredible!!

Melissa was awesome. She switched between acoustic and electric guitars and did some piano work. Her interplay with the audience was amazing and very intimate. Her set was well chosen. I would see her again in a heart beat. She's a survivor! Go Melissa!

When the sunset is behind the stage and Melissa puts her lyrics to the mood of the night she creates and unforgettable concert. This concert was one of Melissa's best concerts because she transitioned smoothly from one song to another and every song had a special connection with the audience. Also, she played the piano very well and she did not need anyone else to make the concert special.

To watch a great star, perform solo for two and a half hours is fantastic! Melissa is a woman of great talent; she gives her all in every song.

We had a great time at the concert. She was awesome, no band just her. Our seats were really good.

I had wonderful tickets - front row balcony - great spot to watch the show! Melissa rocked just like she always does. Casino was busy but wait at the buffett was not long at all..good food as well! I would recommend seeing a show at the Venue..parking convenient..everything very accessible! Only downfall to the night was that all the table limits at the casino were $25.00 for blackjack and roulette. $15.00 for craps and carnival games. To steep for my pocketbook.

Picture this...A concert stage empty except a small platform and a piano. Enter from stage left Melissa Etheridge and her guitar. I've seen a couple of dozen bands in my life with their loud guitars and over bearing drums but, Melissa stole the show with only an accoustic and sometimes an electric guitar. She sang all her familiar songs with a few new ones thrown in. Have to give this concert "A Notch Above Amazing"...

have always enjoyed her concerts, but may have trouble adjusting to seeing her with her band next time since she was soooo great performing alone. felt like she was really connected to audience and talking/singing right to me...

This concert featured Melissa solo/sans band and it was outstanding!! She kept a dialogue going with the audience about playing in Indiana and all that suggests. Many new songs from her upcoming album were featured! The venue was great however we were seated close to the bar in the back and the noise coming from it was both distracting and annoying. If you attend concerts from this venue, do not sit near the bar!

This is the first time I saw Melissa perform alone. The first time I saw her play the piano. I had awesome seats and the whole concert was great.

Melissa Etheridge will now and forever have it! She is the ultimate entertainer, instant connection with the audience made the show that much more fun. She was on her own and can hold the stage on her own with ease! It was a very mellow performance. What was strange was the venue...we were literally in a box used to watch horse-racing. It was not a great venue to get up, sing and dance like we all want to do during her performances. I did like it at the fairgrounds however for the fair-food and drink we had before the concert..but again weird venue to be amongst fair-goers for a ME show.

Melissa Ehtride was great. She played all of her well know songs and The Venue is a great place to see a concert.

From the moment that she came out on stage, you could tell that she was ready to rock! Alive and Alone was the best Melissa I have seen out of the 3 times I have seen her. The whole concert was full of energy and she really conected with you. I took someone with me who was not a Melissa fan and by the time we left, she was.

She proved herself once again as a true entertainer. The intimate setting was perfect for her soulful and solid performance. She was as beautiful and healthy as ever!! I will relive that concert for a long time...

Melissa played solo for this event and put on an amazing show.

From the moment she took to the stage until the end of the encore it was none stop music with a lot of music from her new CD but lots of her older music. Melissa gave all in her performance and you could tell she enjoyed what she was doing.

We have seen Melissa several times, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert. At this venue she was amazing, talking to the crowd, having fun and playing her heart out! The crowd was very responsive to her and her guitar playing was amazing!!

Melissa engaged the audience. She was funny, sincere and sounded as good now as when she started singing!

One of the best guitar players I have ever seen in person. i.e Clapton, Walsh, Buckingham, B.B., Mayer etc. A bass, drums and her.

This is the 6th time I've seen Melissa Etheridge each time she puts on an even better show. I highly recommend seeing her if you get the chance. She will rock the fillings out of your teeth.

Awesome show!! Saw her in Memphis as she started her Memphis Rock and Soul tour. She played everything on the new record which was incredible as well as some of the old favorites. She plays the guitar (obviously), the drums and the harmonica. Her attitude on stage was great! She owned the stage and worked the crowd. She truly loves playing music and it shows. I honestly think she sounds better live than recorded. Do NOT miss her show!

Melissa is a true musical icon. The venue was great - b/c it was so small - so it was a very intimate setting and being in the front row made it very memorable but I think any seat in that place would still feel like you're very close to the stage. She performed a lot of her new songs which I didn't know and lots of Rock & Blues - bu the songs were very easy to learn the words and chorus to sing a long. Also - she changed guitars for almost every song and played harmonica and played for a few minutes on drums. As always she was magnetic, vibrant and extremely enjoyable to watch!

Melissa was so energetic and happy to be there. She played all her great songs that everyone wanted to hear, plus some new ones. The Ryman is such an intimate place for a show compared to the bigger venues. Everyone had a great time!

If you only have one choice to see a great concert this must be your pick. I have seen her many times before but this one was truly unforgettable, amazing, OFF THE HOOK, Great. Her voice is as strong as it has ever been and I do not think anyone can play a guitar as good as she can, above all the 12 string. She was kind, she was mesmerizing, she keeps her audience on their feet. 5 Stars are not enough for a rating of a musician of her caliber. I can only hope she comes to Knoxville, TN. again and very soon. Simply the best concert I have seen period.

Admittedly, it was my first time seeing Melissa Etheridge live so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Although my expectations were high, I can say that Melissa and her band flew well above them. I already knew that she has a fantastic voice (and the years have not diminished those skills at all!), but I had no clue that she was such a great guitar player. All in all, it was a really great show and even better that she signed a few autographs after the show!

I love Melissa Etheridge! The Ryman was beautiful! The atmosphere was amazing! But if you plan to drink, bring your wallet! I would definitely go again!

I have been to several Melissa concerts and her Solo was by far original and fun. Melissa is an amazingly talented lady. She did tend to stay on her left side of the stage and we were on her right, so that was a bummer. However the whole venue was well worth the money and time. She played for almost 2 1/2 hrs new and old mix of her songs.

Amazing one woman show!!! Just her on stage, recording and looping a rhythm section with a bongo drum, a tambourine, and a Cajun box drum, add in live guitars and Melissa singing her heart out. I was so impressed. I wasn't a huge fan going into the show, but I left being one.

Melissa Etheridge has an amazing passion for playing the gutiar. Her rhythm and solos are eye-opening with acoustic, electric blues, 12-string, & rock guitars. You feel the music during a two-hour rock show!

Best Melissa Show I ve seen in many years!! Her voice, her attitude, her guitar solos Rocked!!! She was super into this intimate show and really played & sang her heart out!! Wish it was longer than the 2 hours she gave us! Can t wait to see her again.

What talent. What an awesome song writer. Down to earth. Everything comes from the hear and she really cares about her fans. First time I got to see her in person. She was outstanding. And the best part of the show was the 20 minute oncore where she played a drum solo. Who knew she could play drums too.

Though it was a Christmas show, which was cool since she does have Xmas songs, Melissa rocked out on all of her biggest hits as well. Such a great show!! Her conversation with the crowd was comfortable and her singing and playing were amazing as always. Highly recommend!!

When Melissa goes full out it is like she is in a trance and she takes us with her. The holiday songs were great and often quite moving. Of course the fan favorites were unbelievable. Somebody Bring Me Some Water is a personal favorite and I, along with everyone else, was screaming along feeling like I was in heaven (even if the devil had my soul :)). She closed the show with Like the Way I Do. Melissa really threw herself into this with extended guitar solos but also an awesome drum interlude where she played on the same drum kit as the drummer. How they didn t hit each other given how fast and furious they were playing I will never know. We did the VIP package where we got to see the sound check. What fascinated us was that listening to her during the sound check we were thinking what an amazing voice she has and how truly talented she is on the guitar. We thought wow, it will be like getting 2 concerts since she was so awesome. Then at the concert at night she brought everything to a whole new level and you realize two things. First, that Melissa putting partial effort into it (presumably saving her voice and energy for the concert) puts most performers giving full effort to shame. Second, Melissa on full effort is like being transported to a wonderful place filled with music perfection and lots of love! She shared so much love for her fans and the world at large and encouraged us to go out and love ourselves so we can share love in the world too. All I know is after the concert I wanted to buy tickets to every other one in the area.

What a magical musician. M.E. brings such a genuine passion and I couldn't help but be right there with her. I traveled from LA to Vegas to see her and I'd do it again. Can't wait. More please.

In my 52 years, this was my most favorite concert ever! She played awesome songs and I never knew she was such a guitar aficionado! Damn, can she play! And she played eight different ones plus the drums! She looked great, also!

I saw Melissa at Foxwoods last week and loved her show so much, I had to see her again. The show was wonderful..she rocked and played a good mix of old and new songs. Her new CD is great.

Melissa Etheridge never ceases to amaze me. This is my third time seeing her over many years. She is not only a story teller with extraordinary personality or a excellent rock n blues singer, but her musical abilities have expanded. The icing on the cake was her shredding guitar solos, her performance with percussion and her first time working within a 7-piece unit which included background singers. That exudes confidence to surround oneself with ace musicians and singers. Her background singers could have stepped it a notch with their stage presence but don't let that detract from their talent.

I've been to many of Etheridge's concerts throughout the years and across the nation, but not one has been the same. It's the passion, the seduction, the luring into unknown spaces that continues to transcend wherever one has been and the imagery of where one might go. The music is real with an abysmal soul-expression that while akin to Janis Joplin, it is a universe above. In essence, the concert was exciting, inspiring, and eclectic in all ways imagined. Melissa Etheridge is unparalleled and will remain as such until the last instrument has been played. Incandescent!

This is my 3rd event at this facility and it is always pleasing. The only thing I can recommend is that the lighting is a bit too harsh. Meaning Melissa seemed "washed out" on the stage.

Second time I've seen Melissa at the Sands. Awesome venue, awesome entertainer. Will definitely be at every one of her shows there.

My only issue was the angry women who didn't like that we stood up at our seats to applaud or dance.....They "didn't come there to look at our butts"..... I'm 43 and I still enjoy a concert without having to sit the whole time. It's nice to have a chair but I'd rather dance all night and M.E. is a rock star!. I've seen her several times in the past 25 years but had a 20 year break to raise my family - I have the most wonderful husband who was more than happy for me to enjoy a night at Melissa Etheridge!

She put on the most high intensity show I have seen since I first saw Bruce Springsteen back in the early 80s. I thought my wife, who is normally very quiet, was going to rush the stage. Melissa ruled the stage and the audience. It is a good thing she is a benevolent dictator. Great show and I loved how she is so proud of her roots and comfortable with herself.

Melissa and her band rocked hard nonstop from the minute she set foot on the stage until she left more than 2 hours later after her encore. She shwed herself to be a remarkably versatile and talented musician playing multipls guitars (6, 12, and 18 strings) as well as the piano and the drums. She even played her lead guitar player's guitar in tandem with him from behind him while reaching her arms around him. Melissa is no ordinary rocker! The hardness of the music is blended with heartfelt lyrics and her raspy evocative vocals to produce a fine meritage. All the while she is giving a strong message of love and hope and understanding to the predominantly lesbian audience without making it seem exclusionary or uncomfortable for the straight part of the sold out crowd. She could have palyed all night and not have warn out her welcome.

Melissa E is amazing... she doesn't stop... no wardrobe changes, no intermission....she just keeps going! I love that she plays new stuff and always plays the older stuff too. I am still singing from the concert! I would go see her again and again and again and AGAIN! Only complaint was that it was SOOO sticky in the theater. Even Melissa was sticky. Having a couple fans going would have made it better....but Melissa E was as good as concerts get!! Bring her back soon PLEASE!

After following her for 20 years listening to her every word to walk in and hear her....It's been 2 days later and she is still rocking my head....I will never forget that night or those words....Sing on Melissa, your old songs you put out are the new songs that will rock "MY" world all over again....Health and love to you.....

Melissa Etheridge was in fine voice, and she played guitar joyously in her November 10 concert at the Chicago Theatre. The show included many tracks from her new album, "4th Street Feeling" and a goodly number of her many hits. The band was wonderful, backing Melissa expertly and filling the room without ever overpowering the star. Melissa sang with more passion and with more facility than I have heard in her previous Chicago engagements; it's a pleasure to hear an artist with a long résumé continue to grow, rather than resting on her laurels and becoming a "jukebox of oldies." Ms. Etheridge has also continued to grow as an instrumentalist, playing solid lead guitar and harmonica, in addition to her masterful lead vocals. Melissa's banter with the audience was warm and relaxed, and brought much context and meaning to the songs she shared. I felt welcomed and involved in this event, and look forward to my next opportunity to hear this important artist. Ms. Etheridge's crew and Chicago Theatre's staff did a wonderful job providing clean, clear amplification. Both spoken word and song lyrics were easily understood, which has not always been the case in recent performances by this artist at this venue. Overall, this concert was a big winner :)

She played nonstop two and a half hours. There was no opening act for this show just Melissa. I've seen her four times starting in ninety three, ninety four and this was the best show ever.I was on the second row!!!!

Had a great time. Can't wait for her to come back again. She played some old stuff, and some new stuff, nice mix. Melissa looked like she was really having a good time.
