Utah Grizzlies

Loved this so much. I guess you could say I am officially a hockey fan(:

I was on the road in Salt Lake City for work, so I decided to attend a game to kill time. I found the action on the ice to be pretty good--both Utah and their opponent (Idaho) played a close game that went to the wire. The facility left much to the imagination. Fairly empty hallways, poor audio, and no ushers (which meant people would walk in front of you during play, which is against hockey safety and etiquette) left it low on my list. I have been to junior hockey arenas that are run better. However, the game was good, so I can't complain too much.

I'm hoping my suggestions go to the arena and are accepted as constructive criticism. I'm a big hockey fan from the east coast. So much so, that now that I'm settling in Utah, I may be purchasing season tickets. For the most part I loved the game, but I'd love to see you get more folks in the stands. - The team is great, they tore up the Colorado Eagles that night. - I really loved the "Kidd 101" guy. That old man had tons of energy, was really funny, and really got people going. - They played fun games between periods. It's great watching two dudes fight over giant biscuits and hot dogs. - I got great seats for a reasonable price. Nothing like seeing the other team getting smashed against the glass right in front of your face. - I know it's a difficulty inherent in hockey, but there's a lot of dead time while the Zamboni's on the ice. Could be creative with the jumbo-tron or a cheap t-shirt launcher to keep the fun going for the kids. - I love that you have a mascot. However, (and please don't tell him I said so) but Grizzbee is a little lame. The costume lacks the tough awesomeness that you expect from hockey and it would be nice if the actor had more energy, though I don't know if it's possible with such a bulky costume. - I loved that there were concessionaires in the stands, but in today's healthy environment, cotton candy, caramel popcorn, and snow cones don't look like they're selling too well and there were no drinks.

Great Seating and Awesome entertainment for all. Fights are always excieting and just a great sport.

Despite the Bakersfield Condors looking like a slightly better team, the Grizzlies come through with a 7 to 4 win that should be embarrasing to the boys from California. This game boiled down to which team could maintain focus in the thrid period and which team wanted it more. Fortunately for the fans at the E-Center, the answer was Utah. Mid-game it was an excellent battle that could have gone either way. It looked like the Condors had the advantage of size while Salt Lake seemed to have agility and quickness working in their favor. Neither team was dominant until the third period. With a 5-4 advantage and about 6 minutes left in the game the Condors were ready to pull their goalie. Not only did the Grizzlies score a goal, but then they came back within one minute to score their 7th goal of the night. That put the game out of reach for the Condors. What was also interesting was that there was not one fight the whole night. There was the usual trash talk and some close calls. There were Condors down on the ice twice, which caused time-outs, but no goves came off. The only real threat of fighting came from the appearance of the Hanson Brothers between periods. It was a fun ride, and I do plan on being back in the fall for the next season. Thanks, Grizzlies. You make Utah proud.

We went to the game looking forward to seeing our favorite team play. It was very entertaining, and our guys Rocked!!!!!

The Utah Grizzlies are a great team to go a watch. This was my second game and it will not be my last.

Great game even if you don't know the rules of the game it's fun to watch.

i TOOK MY GRANDSON TO HIS FIRST HOCKEY GAME AND WE WILL NEVER FORGET IT. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!

It was a great game. I bought the tickets for my husbands birthday. We had never been to a hockey game before and now we are planning to go again. He loved the game and so did me and my son.

It is always great when the Grizzlies win, but we did see some very good hockey in this 5 to 6 loss. This nail-biter went into overtime with a 5 to 5 tie. Although the catch-up goals for Stockton were from power plays, the guys from California did out-skate the Bears for much of the game. Still, it was an exciting evening. Some bad blood went really bad and players in the penatly box were jawing at each other so bad the ref needed to intervene. But, another night of fun was had by all. I do recommend this venue and the Grizzlies for anyone who even thinks they might like hockey.

Amazing! Intense! Wow!!! Can't wait for today's game.

I had a good time, the game was awesome, but I can't believe I spent as much as I did for front row, center ice and the event was lacking attendence. The E-Center is too comfortable over-charging for seats for this hockey league and needs to get in-line to up attendance and enthusiasm. Give me great seats for $20 each and I will be there everytime, with friends.

I am new to the Salt Lake area, but I do enjoy hockey. This was my second visit to see the Grizzlies, and, again, I was not disappointed. This was a very entertaining evening and I got very good seats for a very reasonable price. With good food, beer, and a nice family crowd, I certainly recomend this venue for anyone who asks.

We went to see a game for two reasons; First, because we had season tickets a few years ago and really missed the fun! Second, because my son plays lacrosse and he wanted to see the same adrenelin action on ice! Was a great night - planning another game night soon.

I bought Utah Grizzlies tkts for my daughter and a friend. She is from Minnesota and living in Salt Lake currently. She was a little homesick and I figured a good hockey game would be a great pick-me-up since we are from Minnesota-"The State of Hockey" She had a fun time, the game was great and the atmosphere is very close to an NHL game. She will be back! Go Grizzlies! :)

It was the first hockey game ever for my husband and three children. They enjoyed it tremendously. My 11 year old son already is planning our next game date. The music was great, the people were very helpful and friendly and the fans were also pretty fun.

The game was very exciting even though they lost. :( I would go to another game for sure.

Game was fun, only annoying thing is being stuck at the top of the stairs until the play is over. at one point we were stuck standing at the top of the stairs for about 5 minutes.

Once again the Grizzlies were non-stop action. It's always a great time. It was nice to see such a great turn out for the Pack the House event. It's good for the team and the sport. I'd love to see ticket prices at $5 more often. I would bring more people with me if they were more affordable. As it is now, I'm a season ticket holder and would love to include some friends, but the cost of the tickets is a bit steep for some people.

Ok, so it was tons of people. Tons of people who don't seem to know what time it is. Tons of people who think they can cut you off, jump in line, push and shove, and that was just in the parking lot. This was the reason why I watch things on TV. A total waste of money.

We had a blast.. it is awesome that we were able to get such great seats at such a great price..

Great game, doesn't get much better than a 4-0 shellacking. The lack of fights was a little disappointing, but all in all a great experience. And 2nd row seats for $5 can't be beat. Great promotion!

The only issue we had was the parking and traffic could be reorganized better.d

I love the Grizzlies!! 'Nuff said, right? It was so great that I was able to take the whole family to this game, AND have great seats. Yeah for 'pack the house' night!! In fact, it was great seeing all the families and kids there. FUN FUN FUN

The game was great once you got inside. The parking was terrible - long wait!

For about $12 including fees and parking we enjoyed a fun, high energy, fast paced game of hockey and the Grizzlies smoked the Wranglers! Getting into the parking lot to park at the E center was not fun and took about half an hour. I figure this was a lack of planning because I have been to concerts with about the same number of people or more and parking was not a problem. Overall this was well worth the price and a lot of fun!

I received an email for the $5 event and decided to go with friends. I didn't realized that we were going to get seats in the second row! It was so much fun.

We really like going to the hockey games. Great crowds and great seats. We started attending the hockey games last year and liked them so much that we will keep going through this year. We just hope that people don't find out how much fun these games are, we like the current smaller crowds.

My son and i had a blast at the game. He says we have to do it again.

was a great 30 mins to the ice developed a HOLE in the ICE, yes folks i say a hole in the ice....but when it was happening the action was great from both teams and would have been a close game if the hole did not happen in the ice.

We have never experienced a hockey game before. This was so much fun! The people sitting around us taught us some of the rules. We enjoyed the game even without knowing fully what was going on!

Went to see the Idaho Steelheads play. It was military night and they put on a wonderful tribute to our brave men and women in the military. Sucks that we lost.

Fun times at the hockey game! Make sure to buy a puck and try winning $100.00 by throwing it in. Only drawback was the price of the beer......hugely ridiculous.

I took my teen aged children out for the night and went to the Grizzlies Hockey game. It was great fun! Didn't hurt that the Grizzlies won the game 4-1. Great night, great game and most of all great company.

I don't attend sporting events on a regular basis, however I try to catch something at least once a month. I find the the Grizzly's hockey is a great value for the money. I attend at least 4 home games a year. I recommend it to anyone who has not been to a hockey game. It is a lot of fun at a reasonable price.

Great game, easy to get tickets except for the stadium zoom in thing on the ticket masters website showed most of the upper deck was sold out and our whole section had like 5 other people including us so i know that was not true and this was the 3rd time this has happened this way. I even got back on to get some people some more tickets but since there were none by where we were sitting (which was the highest row you can buy) i could not purchase the tickets because the little blue dots were grayed out like someone was sitting there and the whole row below us had NO ONE sitting there. This needs to be fixed but other then not getting more people to the game and sit by us it was a great fun experience!!

Great game and a lot of fun! We sat in the upper bowel but did not really have many people around us and had a ton of room to put our feet up or whatever. Got some stuff from the Grizzlies store to support the team!!

It was my son's second game and his friend's first, now they love hockey. My daughter, 7, was not as impressed, next time she doesn't have to go though. Great game!

I love hockey. This game was full of action. The star wars theme was not as great as advertised but it was still neat to see some of the characters. But I now understand that they were there for the Make a Wish, so I hope the experience was great for them. This is my fourth game and I will keep coming back. The arena is cool, plus they serve Mt Dew. The only issue I had this time was with my seats. I always sit rink side. It costs more, but I like to be close and in the action, plus the first two rows of seats have padding, so they are comfortable. However, this time I sat in section 103 in the front. I sat next to the ice in the front row. You would think that would be the best. I paid the most for these seats. The problem was it was in section 103. I wish I would have been warned. Because they let people come in and out to your right, so even though you are at the glass people are walking in front of you all night coming in and out. I go to watch the game, and I like to sit close to see all the action, but in these seats with a constant stream of people walking in front of you, you miss out on some action. I always recommend glass seating, just not in section 103. I recommend you go, but stay out of section 103. My favorite seats have been second row on the penalty box side, and I usually sit there, and from now on I will always try to get seats there.

I took my kids for New Years thinking it would be an actual celebration or party. nope, it was a good game but, I think they could have made it so much better!!!

It was so much fun!! I gave these tickets to my husband for Christmas. He loves hockey and I'm beginning to understand it. Being my first hockey game, i didn't know where the best seats were, so I got seats right behind the team bench. It was fun to see the interaction of the players, especially how they replace each other on the ice, but I couldn't see most of the game because they stood up for most of it. Thank heavens for the big screen that allowed me to see some of the plays. I feel like if I go again and sit in those seats again (probably not, though) I should take a dry erase marker and chalk up the number of times the players and THE COACH use the "F" bomb. I will go again, but not take those seats.

This was one of the best hockey games I have seen in a long time

Everything was pretty fun as expected at a Grizzlies hockey game. There was one unforeseen kink in the evening - we didn't know about the teddy bear toss at the time of the first Grizzlies goal. As the teddy bears came raining down from seats above us, intended for the ice, one large teddy bear fell short and hit my wife spilling her beer all over her and the seats around her. Oh crap. Oh well. It was for a good cause right? The snack bar redeemed themselves and gave her another beer.

So the action was top notch, but the seats for down by the front were expensive. And in my opinion, the reason the stands were about 1/3 full, at most. Why can't they drop the price a bit and fill that sucker every week?!?!

They won and played hard. Like the new coach and the team hopefully will keep winning. Oops they lost the second game the next day!

I'm a single mom, w 4 kids. 3girls, 1boy. My son had been out numbered by women his whoke life. He has been wanting to do something, w/out his sisters, for a long time. He came up w the idea to watch some Hockey. So, I checked out Grizzlies Hockey online ticket availability. Within 10 min. I had purchased 2 RINKSIDE seats.! When I showed my son where we were sitting, he almost lost his mind! He had the best time! Right up close to the action! Thank you, Ticket Master, for making a little boy's night, very magical! And a struggling single Mom, his hero again!

When your team wins, everything is great. Lose, and it gets ugly. We were pelted with pucks to the head, orange peels in the face, food wrappers, and beer. In fact, an entire beer was poured in my friends purse under her seat and ruined several things, including her medical alert thumb drive. Along with the physical abuse, verbal abuse. It was a lovely experience. Unbelievably classless people.

Our experience at the Maverik Center was great. We had great seats at reasonable prices for our family to attend the Grizz hockey game. During the game, they announced how tickets could be purchased for a bounce back rate of $6 per ticket. The only confusing part was when and where to purchase the tickets. We checked after the game, but the box office has closed 30 minutes prior to the game ending. We went back the next day in the hopes that we could purchase them at the time of the game for the $6 price. This indeed was the case. I wonder if you could make it more clear for those bounce back deals. The staff at the center was incredible. They displayed how much they loved working there through their cheerful demeanor.

Being this was my FIRST hockey event ever, for my kids and I. It was a fun evening. We had pretty good seats,down near the action. I was surprised how warm it was inside. The atmosphere was FUN. The crowd was fun to watch, there stomping of feet, yelling and the pounding on the glass. We especially like the fighting. We would definetly go again and this time, when they play in Las Vegas, it's a lot closer to home!

The grizzlies game was really great and exciting. First game for my girlfriend and she loved it! Can't wait till we go again.

The game was great. A slow start but very active. Could use some more fans in the arena.

After snowboarding or sightseeing for a day, we decided to go to a hockey game to do something "non-touristy". It definitely was fun to watch, the venue was great, and the locals were fun!

Here is what happened. I bought the tickets online for about 55 bucks and I didn't know it was six dollar night. Ouch. Clearly my fault. It was a great game and my wife and I had a wonderful evening. It was her first hockey game and it was my first game in about ten years. She loved it and we plan on going to many more games. I was wondering if you could please slide us some free or even some discounted tickets. Doesn't hurt to ask.

game was good however we paid a lot of money for the seats (45 each) only to have our view blocked most of the time. There was also an obnoxious fan with a huge cow bell he kept banging on all night.

I definitely had a good time at the game. I had never been to a hockey game before and I really enjoyed it. I plan on going back before the season ends.

The crowd was great and for a great cause. I've had two close relatives who were diagnosed with breast cancer. One survived and one didn't. The event was well run and well attended. It's been quite a while since I'd been to a Grizzlies game and it all came back to me about the fun we used to have at the games. Having the Grizzlies win the game was a plus.

Grizzlies hockey was the first date my wife and I ever went on back when they played at the E-Center. It was great fun to go to another game together. Grizzlies played an awesome game with several exciting moments on their way to victory. Grizzlies hockey is always fun to watch!

First hockey game I have attended and found it to be one of the best sporting events ever gone to. Seats were in corner area midway but few of the game was fantastic. As friends have told me a hockey game has to be in person to really enjoy it, Arena is very friendly and intimate for the game. Staff was great and friendly. Will go again to facility for other events. Suggestion: on light poles in parking lot place markers to find cars for us seniors.

The game was great. The seats were great. I bought my ticket online and used the QR Code to get in, the ticket takers had no idea what the ticket was so I had to talk to three people, but they got it figured out!

It was just a great experience and thank you for changing the date for me so my daughter and her boyfriend could go.

I went with a friend to the Utah Grizzlies game and we both had a great time. The food is overpriced but that's expected at any event. I say everything was with the money.

It was a good game and what made it even better is that the Grizzlies won. Love hockey games, use to see the Red Wings when we lived in Mi. Would attend more games in Utah as miss the going.

Had great seats, the concession stands seemed to be caught by surprise there was a game happening..it took 35 minutes to get a overlooked hot dog and under cooked pizza. Beer lines were also lengthy in wait times. Missed a lot of the game due to this. The griz also lost the season opener..traffic management in the parking lot was non existent. Other than those things it was fun. I don't think we will go again, if we do, we will get the cheap seats. It wasn't worth the expensive seats if you spend all your time in lines.

The Maverik Center was very uncrowded, let alone for a Friday. The game was fun, the food was terrific as usual, and my kids loved the nachos! (First time trying them!) I love Grizzlies games more than the Bees, Real, or Jazz.

Great Hockey, great fans, great atmosphere and cheap. Easy to get in to park and easy to leave after, even if you stay the whole game. The only downside was the concession stands: incredibly long lines and 20+ minutes wait for food.

Awesome game; would have been better if the refs would have had their glasses on because they missed a lot of calls and made some horrible calls as well. Overall the game was amazing and as always was a high energy experience. Will definitely go again!

Not overly crowded and they always have something to keep you entertained in between quarters. Kids stay entertained the entire time and with this game ending in a shoot out they were even more excited.

There were three of us that went to the hockey game. My husband, myself, and my brother. We love hockey and have gone to the grizzlies games before. We had great seats and could see everything that was going on. We will definitely be going again.

This event is good fun for any group had front row seats and action was great. Talented hockey players and really good time had by all

We loved the game and our seats. I didn't enjoy paying all the taxes and fees (an additional 33%) on top of our ticket prices.

The game was a lot of fun to watch, and our seats were great. We did spend quite a bit for the front row seats, and for the most part, it was totally worth being that close to the action. My biggest problem was after the first period, people from the cheap seats came and sat on our row or right behind us, and were really loud (louder than a player being checked right in front of us!). I realize that we were at a hockey game, and the noise wasn't the biggest problem. I was frustrated that we paid a lot for our tickets, and people that paid $8 for theirs came after the 1st period to sit in the empty "expensive" seats. They were loud and nearly spilled their beer on me several times. I was frustrated but decided I didn't want to let it ruin my experience. The game was a lot of fun, and our kids really enjoyed it. We would go again, despite the obnoxious drunk people behind us.

The seats had a great view of all the action and it was an enjoyable game. Go Grizzlies!!!

THIS GAME WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I'VE BEEN TO!!! THERE WAS ALOT OF ACTION, BUT, ALSO ALOT OG GREAT PLAYING BY THE GRIZZLIES.

Loved the game, seats were some of the most comfortable I've sat in at a stadium. Unfortunately Will Call was disorganized and understaffed, so make sure to show up plenty early if you want to catch the start.
