Monster Truck Nationals

The event was ok. But they only had 5 monster trucks and 2 bikes. It was not at all like monster jam on tv. There was no dirt in the arena and no jumps for the trucks. They had 2 piles of 5 cars lined up to run over and that was it. The venue was not large enough for anything that I thought I would see. Like more trucks and jumps. I blame the people that thought it would be a good idea to have an event like this in such a small place. I was unfamiliar with how big the place would be. I am sure its a good show when they can stretch their legs. But I woldn't go back here to see a monster truck show.

We brought our three-year-old daughter and her five-year-old son to the 1 PM Sunday show and they loved it! The venue sold earmuffs for a reasonable price and that definitely made a difference. The motorcyclists were so cool too!

Family fun for sure!!! Wish we had a MT to drive of our very own! Chest pounding entertainment for all!!!!! Thank You MT Nationals!!!

Our children ages 4 - 6 really enjoyed the Monster Trucks. Fun for the family. Just very glad we had ear plugs!

It was ok. they should have put dirt in the arena and made at least one jump. and the arena smelled bad the first night, friday, because they dd not vent the arena properly. I wuld not recomend going again to an inside event like this.

It was very boring. When left a little before the half time. We had kids ages 3-18 with us & they were bored.

This event was not worth the money. The coliseum was too small for this venue. Only 1 truck had enough power to do some stunts. It was more of a show for children than for adults.

The magic show was pretty lame. 1 out of 4 trucks put on a good show (raminator). 2 broke down. Kids monster trucks looked cool but not very exciting. Show was not worth the 3 hour trip or the $30 ticket each.

This was even more fun than I thought it would be! My boys loved it and we plan on making it an annual outing!

I have 2 boys ages 7 and 11 and they loved it! Great time!

My kids age 3 and 9 had a awesome time. Seems every seat in the house was a good one!!

Not a lot of truck show and too much magic show. Did not like magic show at all. Kids were bored with the show during majic show. Dont think i will go again, last year was better.

The show was good in general! The trucks were very loud, so bring ear plugs or you may purchase them for $5 at the arena. The arena is small for monster trucks, so there is a lot of time taken up when the trucks are taking turns, parking, and setting up. The music and mics were turned down very low, so it was a little difficult to hear. The magic . . . not very impressive. I felt the magic was definitely geared towards children. There were a lot of children there! Everywhere! The trucks were awesome and the drivers did a great job with their limited space/resources!

I took my 7 year old for his birthday, he thought it was GREAT! I however thought for the price it wasn't that spectacular. I wouldn't recommend going if you don't have kids because as adults we expect more. There were 5 big trucks there and 2 had issues so we didn't get to see them much so we were limited there too.

I'm 44 and the first time I have been to one. I took my son who is 6 along with three neighbor boys ages six, eight and nine years old. They thought it was awesome and I even enjoyed it. It's amazing the power the trucks have and the destruction they can do.

The show was good. BUT it should be advertised as a show for young children. Was gear toward a younger audience.

For the price of the tickets and service fees and everything else this event was lame and even for a five yr old it couldnt keep his attention. My family left early and dissappointed that we drove all that way to watch 5 trucks and three kids drive around in a circle and back up the whole night.

The monster truck show at the Alliant Center was a great show for a first timer! My 6-year old thought it was AWESOME!

We thought this was terrible. I don't know what we were thinking when we booked these tickets. Won't do this again. Only stayed for 30 minutes of the show, they did two things at that point. Not happy with this show.

just plain out was not that great of a show! 2 out of 5 trucks broke down they only jumped 4 or 5 times. best part was the burnouts! will be waiting for monster jam to come around next time!!

Great event and awesome show, bring ear protection for children but my boys loved this. Make sure to do the pit party before the show. Kids can get autographs and see the trucks up close.

it was a good family event with lots of action for the whole family

Sadly this event was way overpriced for the quality. I don't have huge expectations but I left disappointed and feeling like I had wasted a lot.of money. 2 Out of the 5 trucks were not working properly....lots of yawn time between events...and sadly the announcer could not keep our interest. My kids ages 8, 6, 6 enjoyed it but it was not leap off your seat when can we go back excitement. OK that we did it once but won't be going back and won't be recommending to friends. :(

My grandsons loved it. They are still talking about it. If you have never seen The Monster Truck show you must go at least once. An American Icon.

It was my first time watching the monster truck nationals abs they made it a night my nephews my son and I will never forget.

I took my 15 yr old son & 5 yr old grandson, we all thought the show was great. My husband also went along & even he enjoyed himself. The seats were great right up front. And my grandson loved the pit party, being up close to the trucks was awesome for him.

Seeing my 4 year old son so excited was worth the cost 3x over! He was so excited! Hearing protection a must for all though!

To me this event was like a cross between NASCAR & WWE. No competition I could tell, but then I couldn't understand a word the announcers or drivers were saying. Best part of the whole evening was the free-style at the end, and the pizza-stuffed pretzel I had for dinner.

my kids loved it. there isn't much room for the trucks to move for obvious reasons (its in a small place) but overall a great family trip. I have been to the monster trucks at the BJC every time they are there and would certainly go again. if you have been to an outdoor show this is no comparison due to limited space so just remember that.

This show was terribly boring. The trucks were driving on a smooth cement floor so they had no traction to turn which meant they didnt. Each race was less the 4 seconds long and took 10 minutes to prep for each race. My 5 year old son had fun but thats because it was his first experience with live monster trucks. The whole time i assumed they would bring in dump trucks and bulldozers to build jumps and a dirt track but it never happened. This show was a waste of money. it was boring and disappointing. we left about 20 minutes early and didnt miss anything.

The show was amazing but the convo decided not to open the section of seating I originally purchased... 8 running seats are hard to replace... we were moved 3 times before they got it right... this would have angered some so take caution when purchasing here... but if you actually have patience and composure things will work out NIU may have been a rocky start but the courteous staff was understanding and eventually got it more than corrected... recommend monster trucks to anyone who wants a change in their life, something out of the norm, and great for a first date too loud to really conversate leaving a second possibility open lol

The show was great! I was disappointed the tickets said it went on until 10pm but it was over around 8:45. My nephew loved it and this is the 3rd monster truck national show I have taken him to. Though he wishes they served corn dogs.

There should have been dirt and obstacles. Just loud noise and broken cars to jump over. Way too loud for most children. earplugs not enough to block the noise. Really need heavy duty headphones. I would not go back unless they were at a bigger venue and had dirt and jumps.

My boys age 6 and 7 loved it. It lasted longer than I expected.

Honestly I was extremely disappointed in the show there was more talking then actual monster trucks driving around and the monster trucks were parked more than they we're not they did the same things over and over and over again the burnouts / donuts they did were the only thing that was kind of cool also it was boring because they talk so much definitely need to work on a new skit. I would not suggest spending any kind of money on this

Absolutely an unforgettable experience especially given the opportunity to meet the drivers and ride in a Monster Truck!!

My 6 yr old daughter had an unforgettable birthday! The action kept her on the edge of her seat.

really haven't been to any other monster truck shows.. but for having a show indoors I'm not sure you could do much more, the jumps where great, the freestyle was fun, the kids loved the transaurus

My son's and I have gone for the second time and this year it was even better than the last year. Newer trucks and more destruction. The only thing I would suggest is the show start a bit earlier as it goes fairly late for people with a drive and young children. They loved the show once again :)

Overall dissatisfied. Hour and a half show with maybe 30 min worth of trucks actually moving.

This was my 2 year old sons first experience and he loved it!! Parents be prepared for loud noises by getting your child ear muffs! They put on a great show and thrilled my son. I love the fact that the show actually started on time also!!

I've been to many monster jam shows and loved them!! Walked into this thinking it was the same thing. Not even close! My family of 6 didn't enjoy themselves at all! I'm so upset that I wasted my money on this show! we sat and waited for for of the show because they more less talked the whole time!! Monster jam will always be a yes for me but I will never attend another of these shows!

I have been going to this show for about 7 years now. The past 3 years it has gone down hill in entertainment. They no longer have a fun intermission show or much that goes on during down time.

The event was pretty mundane. 5 or 6 trucks in such a small arena.....on concrete!?! boring really. Why was this event called the nationals? Tickets were way too expensive for such a small event. my opinion only but I would not recommend or purchase these tickets again.

When I went to the monster jam in El Paso TX, I was so excited because that show was awesome. There were a lot of trucks and they were racing. That event was on the stadium, and there was a lot of space to do the competition. This current event was a little bit disappointed.

My daughter and I have been attending for many years and the quality of the show continues to decline.I understand that breakage happens but when you loose one performer on the first run thats 20% of the show gone.This year there was basicly no intermission show save for some annoying RC cars and Rockzilla or what ever it was called is one of the most lame things I have ever seen...for 100$ I certainly did not get value for my dollar....DJ Justice

Fantastic show and fantastic time. The drivers were great got photos and autographs with drivers.

Repetitive and lacking energy. The scripting needs to be more exciting and the trucks all looked alike. A good point, it was a few hours with no vulgarity.

This was a good event to take my young child to. He enjoyed it. I thought there was going to be more pomp and circumstance surrounding the event. Please have more than one souveneir stand open. We DID NOT even attempt to stand in line, it was so ridiculously long.

This Monster Truck presented by Lucas Oil was great for my 5 year old son! He was beyond happy the entire time. He loved the two Ram Monster Trucks and the remote controlled cars so much!

If you like loud monster trucks you will love this event!

We attended the Moster Truck Nationals last year and my son loved it! We then waited in line to meet the drivers and get autographs. We came back this year, and it was great. My son loved it just as much this time as last time. We were happy to see that it was the same guys driving the trucks this year as last year

Took my children, ages 4 and 7, to the event. They had a blast watching the Monster Trucks do their thing. They loved going into the "pit area" to see the trucks up close and personal and getting to meet the drivers of the trucks. Can't wait to do it again!

My 4 1/2 year old son and I arrived early enough to take pictures in front of the trucks. I didn't have anything to be autographed, and didn't want to wait in line for autographs anyway, so we were able to breeze through the event floor pretty quickly. My son high-fived Snake Bite's driver in between autographs. There was a line of people waiting for rides in the monster truck "Sargeant Smash", which I didn't know was an option for the day. I didn't wait in line for this, but could have possibly been able to ride in it before people were asked to leave the floor, and this was my only regret. We really enjoyed all of the events. My son brought Monster Jam headphones with him that were given to me from a friend, but didn't need them except for when the Ram monster trucks did their donuts. The Ram trucks hurt my ears, so I highly recommend buying or bringing some kind of ear protector.

Was a great time for everyone. We went as a birthday present for my son with his sister and cousin. They all had a fun time cheering for opposite drivers to see who would win.

It was a great experience. Tickets were not expensive. I do recommend buying ear protection, it gets extremely loud as this was my first time attending I wasn't aware of this.

The boys had a great time!! My grandson asked me where is the dirt until he saw the trucks spinning on the floor and he said that's why they didn't have dirt. When the trucks were jumping the cars you could see the excitement in their eyes!!

I thought it was great. Glad that we went. We also got a kick out of our daughter trying to fit into a go-kart. We will go again.

The pit party offered opportunities for kiddos to get up close to the trucks, meet the drivers, and take pictures. The show was entertaining and engaging.

Awesome trucks, awesome show. Amazing time! The seats were great and we were right close to the action to see everything!

The pit party was great and my son really enjoyed getting autographs. The show seemed small to me but my son loved it so that's what mattered. I think it's great for kids but as an adult I wouldn't go without them. Not much you can expect when it's an indoor event though for safety reasons. I think they did everything possible for the venue.

The monster truck competitions were fun & nice to watch. Glad they come to Madison, WI. The Rockzilla was lame. They could use some better side shows. We enjoyed the pit passes, but it was $10 to ride the monster bus, which seemed a lot after spending a lot on the tickets. The wheelie contest & long jump was cool. Enjoyed the show overall.

We had a good time! My two year old son enjoyed the trucks. We did not like when entering the pit you had to exit a different route. That is my only complaint

Really enjoyed the Monster Truck part of the show. The drivers in the pit party were awesome, the trucks ran hard for being in such a small venue, Coliseum staff was courteous and helpful. Really a nice afternoon out with my 7 y/o daughter and her friend. The only complaint would be that the final for the gameshow activities was held after a 30 minute intermission and took FOREVER. All told it was probably an hour without trucks so the kids got really bored and antsy. Still, we all had a good time.

We had a great time. Full of family fun. Got a real kick out of riding the monster bus. Will go again next time.

Kids greatly enjoyed it. I was slightly underwhelmed. Floor space seemed kinda small for the trucks, wrecks, and all. Jammed about 25 minutes of activity into 2 hours. But again, the kids were enthralled.

Never seen monster trucks before the show started and the trucks flatted some cars then motorcycles came out jumped and did some stunts then the trucks came out again and raced each other what a great show worth the money good day !

Well worth the price of admission and everything was absolutely perfect.

Drivers and presentation were good, but the stadium was to small, only a few cars in the middle, most already smashed, no dirt mounds, no space to race around, they just kept jumping over the same cars over and over again. Should be an outside venue if arena is to small, would have rather sat out in the cold to watch a good show.

Great Show. Staff worked very hard. Entertaining for everyone- not just the kids- we are all kids at heart

Family friendly event that keeps everybody engaged, very little dead time. Show was good even though the venue floor was small - was better than I expected.

Family of 4, with 4 and 2 year-old boys went last Sunday to Monster Truck "Nationals". Here's my rundown: Pros: *Colorful trucks *Free Pit Party where they can get up close to see the cars *Plenty of seating *Megasaurus. the thing eats a car in half, and my kids loved and were terrified by it. Cons: *Loud. this was expected, and some good ear protection completely negates the problem. Just be prepared *FILTHY. this was not expected. we were way on the top and back of the stadium, and were being rained on by tire and dust particles most of the show. It also smells really bad (gas/burnt rubber), but I guess this is a consequence of in an indoor show with poor ventilation. *monotonous. My two-year old got bored by the end, and asked to leave. the cars literally circle to the "start" line, carefully jump the cars, and then spend at least as much time gingerly backing into their waiting stall and park until the next jump. *too much talk. the kids just wanted to see the truck drive around, but the jabber about who was doing qualifiers or winning the jump even had me bored. It was something my kids really looked forward to, and enjoyed, but I think it could have been done better. I think if we were going to go again, we would not go to an indoor venue like Alliant Energy Center, and we'd like more of a crazy monster truck stunt show than a faux race.

Show was good, only 5 trucks were there. So I think the price per ticket and fees are too high.

We took our son for his 7th birthday. It was his first monster truck show and he loved it!

I took my 6 year old son and we had a blast watching the monster trucks do donuts and smash cars. The drivers were very involved and engaging.

My kids and I we love this and we go every year! I had to pay a lot more then other years but I was still a blast

Its getting very dull. They need to bring back like the bmx bikes or rc cars.

I expected more from the Nationals. Only 5 trucks and 1 was used very little. 1 other truck broke down before the show was over so only 3 trucks were used consistently. Show did not include any motocross or other "extras" like other shows seen before. Ticket prices were high also. Ok show but not worth the ticket prices

I enjoy the Monster Truck events. However, I don't think the size of the arena allowed for the trucks to really put on a good show. The trucks barely had room to get turned around or get any speed.

A fantastic family event! Had such a great time, met some awesome people. The pit party was great for the kids as well! Would definitely go again! This is a must see event!

we go every year and the last couple years were not good at all. to much talking and not enough action. we liked the first year better. prob not coming back as not worth anymore and its sad as this was going to be a family yearly event.

An ice hockey arena is too small to host a monster truck show. It's great that the kids in smaller towns can see monster trucks up close & in person, but the actual show is kind of a let down. There is a lot of dead time during the show, while the trucks are parked, get setup, etc. The pre-show pit party is a must, though. You can get right up next to the trucks and meet the drivers.

The trucks were definitely cool, but there just isn't enough room to enjoy them in an indoor venue. Also everything from the tickets themselves to the souvenirs were far too highly priced.

We loved the show and plan on getting tickets again when they come back to columbus. The only thing that I will not get again is the truck stop dinner. All of the drivers were suposed to come in the room where we were eating and only 2 came in. The other problem was that the dinner that I paid was cold. I had to get my son something to eat from the consession stand. Other than that the show was great. Verry fun and both of our first times going.

Had a very good time. Ticket line was almost nothing and it was really easy to find the seats. Perfect view and it was a very enjoyable experience.

It was a great event. My wife and the kids loved it.

The area where the trucks were performing was way to small. I think that if the ice hockey side boards and the removable seating that was on the sides of the track were to be removed, it would have been a whole lot better show. There was just not enough room for the trucks to preform at there best. Extremely glad the ticket prices weren't unreasonable, would have been disappointed to have paid more.

Five big trucks, nicely loud with aggressive names. But after each takes turns jumping over or riding over a series of old cars arranged side-by-side, and they doing donuts in an open area, there didn't seem like much to keep the interest of an 8 year old boy or his grandpa. We left after intermission. We did arrive early and had the free pit passes, watched some cool RC vehicles including a drone helicopter, took a few pix standing near the trucks, and that was fun, but since we arrived at the opening, there were no lines and we saw everything in the pit in 30 to 40 minutes, then had to wait a good while for the show to begin. It was just "ok," nothing I would do again.

This was the first time I've ever gone to a Monster Truck show, it was great! We really enjoyed going down in the pit and meeting the drivers and being able to take pictures. The Raminator was my favorite and I was really thrilled that he won, my oldest daughter and my grandson really liked War Wizard but actually all of them were thrilling and great to watch. I would recommend this as a great family event, we hope to make it a tradition from now on, my grandson is only eight so that's a whole lot more years of fun at the Monster Truck Nationals!! I need to mention also that the country singer Brandon Maddox was great we really enjoyed his music!

Awesome!!!! Kids loved it, wish we knew we had to sign up for games, we thought our tickets were for that.
