The band played yet another incredible show at the impressive Greek Theater venue on a gorgeous sunny Sunday afternoon matinee show!! The crowd soaked in the great tunes, danced their tushees off, and as always connected to one another throughout the whole experience; before, during, and after the performance. Highlights included: Uncle John's Band, Strawberry Fields Forever, and Let it Grow!! I'd see them anywhere, anytime.....

Everyone is still missing Jerry but it is so uplifting in his memory when you hear so many of his songs being performed. Bob did a wonderful job not that the entire band wasn't as always incredible. Sat night was a very memorable experience and I think the entire band was at their top performing skills. The piano player really showed more stage presence than I had noticed in prior events. The night was magical and at the top of my memorable events

Amidst Skaadi's damp lashing of the barren Seattle eastside, the old tribe convened for another electric folky stomp. Mucho props to Weir and Lesh for continuing to carry the torch and providing the context in which to touch the stones of our culture, however unfashionable and drowned in all the mistakes we weren't supposed to make. It felt good to hear I Know You Rider after all these years. Mr K connected with the continuum and they've got the best keyboard player ever. It poured. Evceryone was soaked. But a lot of us floated back into that sneaker toe tapping booglarooo from a time past and dammit, it felt good.

It was cool to see Bobby and Phil on stage again, but it didn't have the magic I was told to expect. I met several folks who had been in the scene for a long time who think this band sounds as good or better than the Dead did towards the end. Maybe the very end, but my experiences at 2 dozen or so shows from '86-'92 were far more interesting musically. No disrespect to Bobby, Phil, or the fans; but less Brent, Jerry, and the rhythm devils I wonder if those who hear the Dead in this band might be holding on a bit too tightly... let them go.

It rained throughout both set, but that just meant the crowd was twice as determined to have a good time. Both sets had an amazing energy that only happen when a band is playing the music they love to a crowd who loves it just as much. Also, they premiered one (possibly two?) new song that Phil wrote with his son. Thank you Furthur, for a real good time!

What a great show! I have never enjoyed dancing in the rain so much!! The band was absolutely awesome, sound was good, people were awesome! I never listened to the Grateful Dead growing up.....long story, but no "secular music" I just discovered the music in my late 30s and will always love it!! Rock ON!

The band was doing a soundcheck as we lined up at the gates a couple of hours before the show. It sounded like they were into it. They started at 6:12 for a 6 pm show and never looked back until they ended just before 10 (with an hour break). I only counted about 12-15 songs but they were all tight with great jams. They were especially on from a blues perspective. And Dear Mr. Fantasy was just incredible. The rain just made things better, like a throwback concert. Great vibe all night.

Beautiful night at the Greek! Perfect weather, fun crowd, calliopes and clowns... The Party got rolling with a quick and rocking Golden Road, Music Never Stopped, and Dancing in the Street. Great vocals, good mix and we were dancing in the seats... Then a sweet Let it Ride from Phil into a Uncle John's tease, then a Wheel Tease, back through another UJB's tease into a great version of the Wheel with lots of time tugging and deep jammin. Bob pretended to wave off Dire Wolf, but into this rare gem did we go, all singing along "Don't Murder Me". Loose Lucy was a big highlight for me. The slow version pace and time bending funky groove was memorable. Touch of Grey had all of us grey beards shouting and singing. Phil really drives this band and his bass sounds great. Chimenti is the best keyboard player the boys have ever had and Russo totally rocks. He never stops... Bob's guitar is up in the mix in ways it never was in GD history. John is Great. The second set led off with a great Lost Sailor>St of Circumstance into a smoking Unbroken Chain that absolutely thrilled as it moved around from sweet to rocking thunder into a beautiful Uncle John's... Phil fooled around with a 6/8 groove that teased the Other One, then Spoonful, then back into an extended Other One. Bob broke out Let it Grow with lots of dynamic changes. John gave us a great Comes a Time, dueting with Sunshine which sequenced into the big highlight of the night, a wonderful Slipknot>Help on the Way>Franklin's Tower. The dew had definitely been rolled away... Phil closed with Box of Rain, as he did in 2010 at the Greek.

From Alligator thru Morning Dew, Furthur came prepared and delivered an outstanding show. Fewer glitches as per usual this time around for sure, though it did appear both Phil and Bobby struggled to get their sound dialed in; hey it worked out just fine, thank you. Just when you thought John Kadlecik couldn't squeeze any more pleasure/creativity into every solo he did so effortlessly or so it seemed to everyone s delight with a most enjoyable and refreshing style adding new life into every song Furthur played. Joe Russo, trading smiles w/Phil, never missing a beat with his high energy, very inspiring. The more I hear of Jeff Chimenti's playin, the more I am convinced he has never received all of the credit due for his soulful vibratory disturbances that are so sweet to the ear and without any doubt Furthurs very, very valuable secret weapon/ treasure. Sunshine Becker, Jeff Pehrson came thru the music backing up the boys in all the right places and put the final touches on all things vocal, good job even if we only got to see Sunshine's legs, both Sue and Jeff were heard, good job, well done. Phil stay well and keep doing what you do as only you can do, bringing the bird in for landing with your spirit, skills, vast attributes and dedication. Bobby, Bobby, Bobby, you stole the show and my senorita's Miss Ana's heart with your eye-smile contact in the 2nd set a " privilege/honor she never thought possible", ha ha, love ya, though my esposa Ana loves you more, you rascal.... Congratulations to the staff at The Joint, whose efforts helped, make such a good show possible. Thank-you, Furthur, you guys made the 4 hr return after midnight trip Home to Western Central Nevada after the show memorable with new riffs, pics, movies, thoughts and memories dancing in our heads, to keep us dreamin Furthur-on-down this ole road of life, for another year when we will all, hopefully, by the grace of God, meet again....Enjoy, bless you all

The set list spelled out what a special show this was. STEALYOURFACE and then into He's Gone. It was obvious that we all miss Jerry and the influence of his birthday tribute on TRI studios this August certainly inspired Bobby ('s turn) to write this show's set list to make their last day on the rocks a special salute to the greatest musician Bobby has ever graced a stage with (Sorry Phil close 2nd though). Must have download since they kept ever song extremely tight with little space jam to make it a high quality download. The tribute started with He's Gone and then the first Space Jam appeared (ran out of songs since STEAL YOUR FACE was magically spelled), then Viola Lee Blues, then Caution, then Black Peter with a closing of Brokedown Palace. Jerry's spirit was racing through the crowd all night long in what was a cloud of the medicinal MJ that was soooooo enjoyed by this unable to partake drug tested sole bread winner for the familia. Must see Fall tour, keep an eye out for another Jerry tribute and always thank the Boyz with the noise at the end of every show. Peace out and Jerry is always on our minds:)!!

"That's one well-oiled machine", said my buddy as Further hit their stride flowing in and out of related and unrelated jams during the first song of Hear Comes Sunshine. Their timing and uniformity in 'becoming one' was astounding. The addition of John K really has made a huge difference in helping Phil hammer out tail-wagging and complex songs - putting new life in music that was written as long as 40 years ago.

The band carrys on in the Dead tradition, and takes you to a special place. The music is so trippy, you quickly go to a timeless spacey dream zone. Boom, 1.5 hours later, and it's like you just got there. After the break, Boom, another 1.5 hours goes by, and the night is soon over. Where did that 4 hours go?

I gotta say... it's been 30 years that I've been following this band around as one iteration or another... and I have to say, this venue had to be the most pleasant to ever see the band at.... the Colluseum staff were all pleasnt, smiling and all asking if they could help us. Be it giving direction to different floors or to my seats. There wasn't anyone pushing, or being obnoxious, and everyone seemed to be left alone to do thier own thing.... The Band was "on" in my opinion and whenever you can see a handful of guys in thier 60' and 70's jam like they did, what's not to like..... don't get me wrong, I've seen my share of bad shows, and from the sound of it, the night before in Chicago left something to be desired... It's been since 1983 that the boys played Madison and I hope that they continue to come back... I will.....

Furthur tore the building down to splintered chunks of sunlight. Had forgotten that it was 11-11-11 in anticipation to "the Eleven" until it broke at the encore with a "U.S. Blues" to boot, capping the date to Veterans Day! Well done in classic Grateful Dead class and style.

Incredible high energy show at the old Cumberland County Civic Center in my old hometown, Portland, ME. Nearly three hours of stellar interplay between an age diverse group! Of all the various incarnations that have played since the demise of the Grateful Dead, this one show proved that magic can still happen and did it ever on this night. The first set was excellent by most standards but it was the second set that blew the roof off the house. Opened with China Cat Sunflower into a more recent composition, Mountain Song and from there a Deadhead's dream show. What followed was bliss. St. Stephen into Dark Star into St. Stephen (reprise) into The Eleven into The Other One into Unbroken Chain and to settle things slightly (in a very good way), a stellar Stella Blue (guess you could rename it Stellar Blue!), and finally, I Know You Rider to tie up the entire set. Nice encore of Touch of Grey to leave the crowd singing We will survive!!!

I have seen Furthur 6 times, the Dead a couple more, The Other Ones twice and the Grateful Dead another 6 times. Never enough! That said, I had high expectations with my musical heros returning to the same stage as the event that kicked off the festival scene. I am talking about the Monterey Pop Festival in '67, when the GD played the unfortunate spot between Jimi Hendrix and the Who. So Bobby, Phil and the Band come back for a do-over and they may have been a bit weary from the road. This is my home town and a rare opportunity catch them without traveling myself. The vibe was good, the band played well, although the energy was a little low. I only could make Friday and had to give my Saturday tix to my son for his 1st show. He enjoyed it and despite hearing GD tunes all of his life at home and now in my car with Sirius GD Radio, he only remembered Truckin' I hope they will return to Monterey again soon. Fare thee well, fare thee well. I love you more than words can tell

The venue was cool. The atmosphere relaxed. It sprinkeled just before the show. We had to wipe down the seats. The show started late. We had great seats. People were dancing in the isles but everyone was nice. The sound was excellent. The music was suprising, Beatles covers, Pink Floyde cover song, Traffic too. Wow! We bought CDs of the previous nights show at the Tshirt concession. It was like going to two concerts in one, listening to the CDs on the way home. We did the Park & Dine at the restaurant on the corner of the theater entrance and shuttelled into the Greek after dinner. What a great idea. The food was spectacular, service too. They were out front of the theater when we were ready to leave (early) and took us to our car right away. No traffic getting out or going home. All in all it was a great night.

I truly treasure the opportunity to see these guys play. It is almost a supernatural experience as there are so many memories to draw from. If you look close at Phil's face on stage, it is clear he truly still loves doing what he does. This is good news for those that love the music, as we have a good chance of being able to experience this for many years to come. Keep it up guys!!

Bob's interactions with everyone kept things moving along. . . the engine just gleamed. Phil and Joe's playing complimented each other very well and made things come together rather well. Phil's welcome to the dance bass playing rocked! Jeff C. played his heart out . Sunshine and Jeff P. came through with the vocals for sure. John K. nailed China Doll and Stella Blue. Scarlett Begonias/Fire was just the medicine everyone including myself needed. One of the flashes from a picture I took gave John K a real treat as I saw him tried to shake it off. . .sorry about that John. Not seeing the Dead perform since July 1987 in Eugene, Oregon this show was fantastic with Bob singing Like a Rolling Stone. . .lots of memories all good of course. Looking forward to see more great Further shows in the future Thank - you, Bob Weir and Phil Lesh. . . .the music never stopped>>>>>>

These guys were amazing on Sunday at Red Rocks! Fabulous song selection, precision playing (most of the time!) and enough energy to keep the whole house stoked right til the end! The venue is outstanding and between the beauty of the terrain and the friendliness of the staff it is definitely my favorite!

The late change of venue to the Raleigh Amphitheater worked well for Furthur 7/28/11. The venue was well organized, administration thoughtful as evidenced by security allowing patrons to bring in a bottle of water to hydrate in the blistering heat. Furthur played a wonderful concert. Phil Lesh and Bobby Weir are in fine form. Chimenti's keyboards gracefully underscored, and with authority, took the lead on several numbers. Russo throttled the drum skins with energy and excitement that would have Billy dancing. Kadlecik was solid. The sound from his guitar projected lower than expected. It is noteworthy that Kadlecik's delicate leads are more apparent on the CD. Kadlecik continues to grow in his role in the band, he has yet to experiment, identify and express his own sound beyond interpretation and imitation. Perhaps it's too early in the journey. Becker and Pehrson (back-up singers) are a smart touch, nicely lifting and rounding out the song sound. Opening with excellent an Alligator, segueing into Gloria, the concert lens showed fresh eyes on music from concerts I saw in 1968-69. Furthering joy and expectation early in the first set was Phil's "No More Do I". The first set ended with a tight rendition of Dylan's "Hard Rain Goin' Fall". Second set opened with "Good Lovin'" followed with "Viola Lee Blues" that threaded through three numbers, setting up "That's it for the Other One" followed by a beautifully played "Morning Dew" and "Mountains of the Moon". Phil and Bobby are artists and professionals. They come to play and their benchmarks are set high. This Furthur concert was excellent. While I miss the taper section, the CD is well worth it.

My 4 year old son accompanied me to this show; a first timer and all he wanted to see was "Bobby Weir jamming". By far this made this show the most memorable for me and showed me that anyone can be touched at any age. He and I will share this memory for the rest of our lives. Thanks Bobby, Phil, John, the rest of the band and fellow Deadheads for such a great time and good vibes.

This was the first Furthur show I have ever seen. My best friend is a HUGE Grateful Dead and Furthur fan and has been getting me hooked on their music for the past year and a half now. When we heard that Furthur was coming to SPAC I decided to surprise him for his birthday and bought tickets for us to go. By far, it was the best investment I have ever made. The atmosphere was incredible. It was a beautiful day and the show did not disappoint one bit. It was certainly a day, let alone a concert, I will NEVER forget!

If there were 6 or 7 stars, I'd rate the show a 7. My brother, review below, said it all. Elvis Costello sounded so good and the bank played all the songs I had hoped to hear and then some. Best birthday present ever, period. Thanks, Furthur.

I loved this show. It was so much fun! The band gave us everything: up tempo rock and roll, jazz, psychedelia, soulful ballads, new tunes. It was great!! Can't beat Red Rocks as a venue either. There's no place I'd rather see a show. It is beautiful and magical and the music certainly matched the atmosphere.

In true "Dead Form", this presentation of the Dead's music was free-form, and definitely took a direction of it's own. While I've noticed in the past that Bobby would guide the set list, he took a more passive role on this night with only one instance of his "preaching antics" which he has fun with at times. Phil was as front and center as I've ever seen him, outside of his own bands. John Kadlecik was phenomenal! His guitar playing was Jerry-like, but also his own, and never over-done, but his singing showed his love for the words and music that Jerry made so accessible to many of us who play. The drumming was fresh and never meandering. The keyboard was spot on and crafty, evoking the many keyboard styles covered by the band(s) over the years by the many who've chosen the "hotseat". The background singers spent long stretches with little to do but, the Pink Floyd cover more than made up for that. The sound on this night was exceptional and I was surprised to see them so comfortable in a Las Vegas Casino. Asking around I spoke to few locals at the show and many were moving on to the next venue at Red Rocks'. Thanks for a truly "Dead" experience and I'm looking forward to more shows!

Amazing venue. There was sunshine for the first few songs, then it started to sprinkle into rain. It was a warm rain & danced in the lights from the stage. The set list was crazy good, some songs I haven't herd in many many years! :) Tickets & parking were fairly priced. I'll see you @ the next show... Santa Barbara, LA, Vegas, Red Rocks... here I come :)

The Saturday night show at the Greek was exceptional. The band, accompanied on several songs by Jonathan Wilson and Neal Casal was at its best! Across The Universe was a special treat along with great sets of old family favorites. I only wish that I had the energy and time to have gone all 3 nights! If you haven't seen Furthur you are truly missing out.

This old school concert is the way all concerts should be. The band took the stage at 7pm had a half hour break and finished at 11pm on the dot. Gave us our moneys worth times two. I wish all bands would care so much about their crowd, and not only about themselves. This Grateful Dead extension concert had all the great songs and some new stuff too. In all my years seeing these musicians (First show: The Grateful Dead, The New Riders of the Purple Sage and Maria Muldar in Santa Barbara around 1974), In all my life, I have never seen them do the same show twice. They never do the same stuff even the next night of the tour. They are so accomplished, they actually know and can play, at any time, almost any song from their huge body of work. What a group of committed professionals. Great Job, Furthur!

last of the year, last of the run, last of who knows (except a brief stint in mexico) until the 50 year anniversary. no guests, just the band pulling out the stops and playing the music with heart and soul. the group has gelled and morphed into something powerful and moving, capable of quiet, delicate lows and searing, earth-shaking highs. the crowd felt it, the band felt it, the coyotes in the tree-lined hills felt it. until we meet again.......

Building on their foundation of about 4 years of touring, the question is always if the band can exceed their already high expectations. The sound was clean enough to hear every string that Bobby was strumming. Phil's bass was a clean as ever. Each of the other band members had moments which showed why they were worthy to be in the best jamband. The bottom line is that Furthur brings the musical excitement not seen since the Grateful Dead. The last set of the last night exceeded those high expectations. Jack Straw was as good as any that I have seen with the Grateful Dead. Doing That Rag, Unbroken Chain were highlights as well. And throw in a Saint Stephen to the setlist and it became a memorable event.
