Bill Bellamy

Bill Bellamy On Tour Stand-up comedian Bill Bellamy has kept audiences laughing for years with his insightful bits on women, relationships and life experiences. Bill Bellamy's 2017 and 2018 tours have him visiting comedy clubs from Long Island to California with a variety of other stand-up acts. December 2017's leg displays his comedic talents at Nyack Levity Live in West Nyack, NY, while January takes him Ontario Improv in Ontario, California, Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco, and back into the Rocky Mountains at Denver Improv. February 2017 has him heading back east to Punch Line Philly to share his thoughts on our current political climate, life past 50, and humorous everyday observations about love and life.

Bill Bellamy was hilarious! Had seen him before at Cobb's and was glad I went back this time. The only downside was the event time. 7:00 is way too early (use to start at 8:00 until Live Nation bought Cobb's from what I understand) and I think it showed in the attendance. It was very empty, but it looked him the later show was going to be much fuller. I would recommend Live Nation move the starting time for the first show back to 8:00

Across the board, this was a terrific show. The two opening guys were funny and had lots of energy to get the crowd fired up and Bill was hilarious just as I remembered from a comedy special I saw years ago. My wife and I really enjoyed the show. If Bill comes through again, my wife and I will most assuredly see another show. I was even tempted to see the show on Sunday.

I went to see Bill Bellamy after seeing some of his shows on You-Tube. Very funny guy in those clips; he mined black family life, the battle of the sexes, attitudes between the races -- all to great and very funny effect. Not so Saturday night at Cobb's in San Francisco. Much of his material seemed aimed at 20-something black women, who made up about a quarter of the audience, and he could have been great. Instead, he mostly focused on sex and while he had his target audience in his hand for about the first half of the show, then he lost them. He had lost most of the rest of the audience (I'm white as was about half the audience) even earlier. I really like a comedian who can mine racial attitudes for humor (going back to when Dick Gregory began) but I was really disappointed. After 40 minutes or so, everybody was sitting on their hands. Too profane, too much material just about sex, none of the kind of stuff that was in the You Tube clips. Just an awful performance. Maybe he's bored with his material and ought to retire.

I went, but was let down from a poor production and too many comedians and too many comedians in skinny jeans (too grown for that). I thought KC and JoJo stopped drinking...a lot of screaming in the mic as well. The process with ticketmaster and the venue ws great, except the concert itself. DJ was cool. I really liked this show and I am so glad I went to see it. I saw Bill Bellamy at All Jokes Aside when he was first starting out and I loved him then and I didn't then I could love him more but I do. I watched Whose Got Jokes and the Last Comic Standing and I added a new comic D'Lai to my list of favorite comics. He was so funny on that show and I was so surprised when he didn't win. I have never see the host Ali Siddiq before, but I thought he did an excellent job and he was funny as well. These is a great show and when they come back to Chicago I will be right there laughing with them again. P.S. I drove to Indiana to see them and it was worth the trip.

i had seen bill bellamy several years ago at the fanueil hall venue so i was looking forward to taking my my wife to the show for some laughs. despite the late show time we drove in after the patriots/ravens game from newbury, ma. well much to our surprise the opening acts were extremely vulgar and disgusting. we were totally shocked by the sexual nature. of the "jokes"! it was so bad that the third act played to virtual silence. my wife was completely appalled. maybe it is the "new" generation of humor but there was no need for the vulgarity involved. if these young acts cannot refrain from racial issues, learning disabilities, and graphic sexual tones we will not be back to this venue. i hope there will be some future review of the process of screening little known opening acts. i'm certainly not a fan of censorship but there has to be a line of decency.

The only complaint I have - the chairs in the Wilbur were awful! I have been there years ago when it was arranged as an auditorium setting. The weather was awful cold outside and apparently they didn't have much heat on inside!! The program was great, although depending on your age, it was a little wild. We are in our 60's and I think the majority of the crowd were college age thru 30's and a few others mixed in.

Solid show overall. Bill Bellamy is hysterical--I have seen him a few times now and he is great. This show has a good emcee (ish)--not sure what to call the role but he opened the show and transitioned between the different acts. He was great--really funny and brought a lot of life to the show. The other opening acts were okay. Too many homophobic jokes. They result in one lost star.

The show is not just Bill. He is the headliner n longest act but it's an cohesive show of multiple comedians including their own mc who gots jokes of his own n really gets the crowd goin. Bill is also still in peak form. This actually part of the ladies tour that they are doing across the country n overseas.

Seating chart was horrible. Seats were cramped together. Bought front row seats did not realize the stageisrighthere. Had a cramp in my neck from looking up by the time show was over. 2-3 rows back would have been perfect. Ali Siddiq, the starting act, was HILARIOUS! Drinks horribly overpriced, barely any food options available (just bags of chips, pretzels, and candy).

I'm only giving 2 stars because Bill Bellamy was good. His set was too short but he was very funny as usual. The show started more than an hour late. Yes many people showed up late but those of us that show up for the time stated shouldn't have to wait more than an hour for the show to start. I really like Chante Moore's music but her part of the show was underwhelming. She talked way too much!!! We were all ready to leave. Normally I'm at shows where the audience wants an encore; not this time. I won't ever pay to see Chante Moore again. I wish I would've stayed home and caught up on my DVR.

Bill has still got it! I feel like a lot of times when a standup comedian has become established and made a good deal of money, they begin to lose that comedic edge and that relatability to the everyday man. OR, worse yet, they just lazily reuse the same jokes you've seen them use in their stand up specials. This however, was NOT the case with Bill Bellamy! His material was fresh and new, and he was just as funny as ever. Lastly, his show started on time, and he was on stage for over an hour! I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. Great show.
