Freddie Jackson

Freddie is a true entertainer in every sense of the word. He connects with his audience and sings his love songs just like he did 30 plus years ago! He still has plenty of energy at 61 and looked as handsome as ever! Great band and great show!

The Mother's Day concert was awesome great artist and everyone one tin the lineup was there Freddie Jackson performance waas awesome this was my first time seeing him!! He sang all his hits and looks marvelous!!

The show was great. All the artist vocals were unchanged. They sounded great. The show was awesome all the artist was great I was amazed they still sounded the sound. Age truly ain't nothing but a number.

It was so good to see freddie again and see him so energetic and happy. great voice and what a crowd pleaser. he was dancing and touching hands and kissing hands. very thoughtful man. especially great when he sang songs and let the audience sing parts of it. great mothers day gift. the only problem was they only gave him ONE hour so they could clear us out for Juicy J. i do not think you should book two shows on the same night. freddie and the audience were rather short changed. i heard a lot of people around me complaining about the short time he was on.

I took my mother to see Freddie for Mother's day, I like him too by the way:) and she LOVED it, it was very up close and personal, very intimate setting, he did all his hits and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves..

OUTSTANDING! Sang his greatest hits and was so entertaining. So happy to see a legend!

Great Show! Freddie entertained us like a true professional! Freddie sang all of his classic hits and more. Lets not also forget that he was very, very funny. Kept us all laughing. A great night out with my valentine!

Freddie Jackson did an amazing performance and he sang all my favorite songs. I will go see him perform again.

Didn't know who was the opening act on this concert. It started late. Freddie didn't sing as long as I hoped. The songs he picked were good. I wish more people were there to see the event.

The night started off with Kim Waters......his saxophone playing was incredible! I could listen to him all night long. Then Freddie came on and it was like he had never left...his music brought joy to my heart and can I just say that he still sounds as good as ever. He will always be my favorite artist of all time.

Kim Waters was fantastic as usual. His show lived up to my expectations. Freddie Jackson is a different story. Clearly losing the large amount of weight has not been beneficial for his voice. He is unable to effectively sing his No. 1 hits from previous years. His Band is excellent and his backup singers are good. They spend a lot of time covering up for his poor voice and his inability to hit the low notes. His latest album does not measure up to previous albums he has produced.

Great time...Kim Waters was a great opener and Freddie was very entertaining...he still has "the voice." THANKS for a memorable event!

The music and the setting was extremely nice. I had a wonderful time and I will attend his next concert as well.

Played well to the crowd. Sang almost nonstop but did personalize it just enough for my tastes. Only issue was one Encore would have been nice.

I thought the Freddie jackson performance awe inspiring and exceptionally well performed. I really enjoyed the quint and cozy venue of the Northern Lights Theater as well - there truly in'nt a bad seat in the house. I would definately attend another Freddie Jackson concert - he really does give you your money's worth Bravo Zulu to you Freddie, keep up the good work. May you be with for a long time to come!!! Freddie Jackson put on a very good performance and I thank Potowatomi for inviting his group to the Wednesday night event.

He was incredible. His voice made everyone get out of their seats and dance. Brought back many good memories.

Freddie Jackson did very little singing and a lot of joking and clowning with the audience. When his top songs were played and he engaged the audience to sing along I realized he could not longer hit the high notes, I was very disappointed. He played with the crowd all evening but was unable to sing from beginning to end any of his top songs. Although a very pleasant guy and had a comedic style of his own, I came to her him sing and that he could no longer do. I would not recommend this show to anyone who loved his old music. I'm not sure why he continues to do shows because he cannot sing anymore. Very very sad.

I loved the intimate setting. The venue made sure the seating was fair although it wasn't a bad seat in the place.

Please come back this summer to the Birchmere!!! I would go a second and third time.

Freddie Jackson isn't the singer he used to be. If you want to hear his music play it at home and save your money.

Great Concert. Love the old school music, Grown folks just having a good time, No Fuss, No drama, Just getting their Groove On..

The show was a recommended for those who have not yet attended this type event, but the event should have drawn a larger crowd. The this the entertainers were disappointed by the small turnout. On another note, I thought the overall show was good. The selected entertainers really showed there age. I think the highlight of the show was Denice Williams. She seems to never age. Freddie appeared to be in the process of redefining his act, due to being older, presenting a different style delivery. I really thought the crowd should have stayed until the Dramatics finalized the event. I noticed less than 100 people remaining throughout their performance. I felt they felt disappointed.

Freddie Jackson caught me off guard by the way he looked. He lost over 100 pounds and he looked like it; that did not stop him from putting on a stellar performance.

Freddie still gots it! His performance was captivating, entertaining and passionate! His voice whisked me away and his interaction with the audience left me wanting more. Also, his backup band was fabulous and talented as well!

We drove 3 hours to San Antonio to see Freddie as part of our 30th wedding anniversary. It was a great and memorable evening.

I look so forward to seeing him, this was awful, Freddie is way to old now, he would be better at theater. But we must keep in mind that this is not the eighties anymore, cudos for trying

The show was great! My date and I thought the show was great! Freddie did his thing. He made sure he didn't disappoint fans. I would definitely go see him again if he came!

Freddy was awesome and put on a great show, words cannot express what I felt, he has an amazing vocal range. I would love to see him again soon.

SOS Band did a excellent job they really performed with dancing and great stage present. Freddie still has a nice voice but he sound nothing lIke his original songs. He Interactived with the crowd.

Freddie's still GOT IT!! The Band was great!! Back Up singers ("Honey Girls") were great!! Potawatomi Casino/Hotel/Northern Lights Theater-Milwaukee is a 1st Class venue!! Freddie did his thing, he ROCKED that Joint!!

Enjoyed the show. Freddy sang all the great hits. The playlist flowed great. Had great seats even got to shake his hand. The only draw back was security, you were almost scared to stand up and dance to the hits. I guess I'm used to Cypress Bayou Casino where they really know how to enjoy a concert - You rarely sit at a concert there. But Overall i enjoyed Freddy- You Are My Lady was the song my husband chose as our first dance when we were married. SO YES WE LOVE FREDDY!!! AWESOME CONCERT!!!

An amazing Date Night Show! I loved every minute of it!

Good mix of his old and relatively new. Good pace to the show. He did start pretty late but all in all, it was a good show.

Freddie Jackson still has such an amazing voice and had nearly everyone on their feet during his visit to the Birchmere.

Freddie's voice is still amazing. Great stage presence. I didn't recognize him from all that weight drop and tears came down my eyes as he looked so sickly but I prayed for him for what he had gone thru and I love him. His notes he can hold is amazing and I will go see him again. Thanks for your 30 years u haven us. Ur fans luv u. He packed the house and everyone was out of seat dancing. You were amazing buddy

I enjoyed the up close and personal experience, I went into the concert with mixed reviews. But over all I must say Freddie's voice has matured greatly, However, there is that certain antenna that goes up regarding the constant humor he directs toward t his weight. Now at the end of the day his weight is actually between him and his GOD. I would have preferred that the time he shared on the weight jokes that he would have used it to marvel me with that amazing voice he has. I came for the music his personal journey again is between him, GOD and his close circle. I appreciate him wanting to give explanation to his fans but I love his music and I wanted to hear music, music and more music.

Excellent concert!!! Freddie did a great job keeping his audience entertained. The venue was small enough that there was not a bad seat in the house.

I thought his voice was just as smooth and sounded just like it did years ago. I think he's funny and very entertaining. I loved the show and would see him again if I had the chance. He has lost a lot of weight. I just hope all is well and wish him mush happiness, health and success.

All the entertainers were great and sounded the same live. Freddie still has it. I think the group of entertainers that were together matched each other well, as far as the live singing.

The show was outstanding and everyone showed up on time. The atmosphere was wonderful, and they really gave it their all and all. I especially enjoyed Shante' Moore, she sung like and angel.

This evening was awesome...we spent the night being serenaded by three great vocalist. It started off with the seductive Miss Chante' Moore followed by the silky soul sounds of Howard Hewitt and ending with the headliner Mr. Freddie Jackson...what a wonderful evening.

I set out to give my wife a lovely Mother s Day weekend in AC with shopping, dinner, gambling and the Freddy Jackson show which was the highlight of the weekend. We had a well needed great time in AC and the show topped it off. Only thing I didn t like was how the artist was told they are out of time while they were performing and rushed off the stage.

Freddie Jackson has aged gracefully but looks very thin compared to his 80s appearance. He told the audience his proud he was able to lose 107 lbs. and said he feels healthier than ever. His voice sounded true and his riffs strong. He is every bit the performer and consistently engaged his audience throughout the night. Angela Winbush opened for him and looked and sounded great! She danced around the stage like a 20something. It was the perfect Valentine's Day event. I felt bad when the promoter came out and admonished the audience because it was not a sold out show, showing little class. What is showed was his lack of marketing and promotion. But, Freddie Jackson took the stage, put him in his place and said "This is my audience!" before going on to do a terrific show for those of us in attendance. We also enjoyed the Saginaw Dow Theatre venue as intimate and easily accessible for our first time there. Easy drive to venue from northern Detroit suburbs Would go back to venue for future events and encourage others to see Freddie anywhere he plays. We did a meet and greet after the show which made it very special and Freddie was a true gentleman.

Freddie Jackson sound amazing, the show was very intimate and refreshing. My husband & I sung all the way home. I will def purchase tics again.

Just saw Freddie and he was worth every penny. He started on time and entertained us until the last second of the show. He sounds great and has excellent showmanship. I would see him again. Go see him, you won't be disappointed.

I just wish he would do more of his hit songs like he is always rushed off of stage when he is really getting into the his songs. I hope the next time I see him I love for him to do some of my favorites like Will You Be There, That's all I Ever Ask, I listen to his songs everyday going and coming home from work. I love me some Freddie.

he was simply amazing he was an excellent performer as well as interaction with his fans. if I compare him to Brian McKnight show I recently went to he was more in tune with singing his songs in full vs. Brian singing bits and pieces and leaving you in awwwhhhh . I love Brain but he needs to get better with giving his fans what they pay for and want.

Show should have been longer: show was too short. Show was only 1 hour long. Is this normal?

I was so excited to go see who I ve always considered a legend of R&B music. I was unbelievably disappointed the moment Freddie Jackson came onstage and opened his mouth. He sounded awful the entire night, and awful is an understatement! And he says I lost weight but not my voice ! He needs to listen to a recording of that show. He sounded and acted like Eddie Cane Jr from the movie The Five Heartbeats!

Midnight Star gives a great performance. Lakeside was good, and Freddie Jackson was okay.

Freddie Jackson put on a great show despite the fact that his voice is not as strong as in his earlier years.. He Entertained which is what a great concert should be.

Show was very unorganized... The scenes was changed in front of us no closed curtains..

Will never attend another show at Garrett Coliseum. Tables and chairs were tacky. Sound terrible. For an event to be hyped up for a year you would hv thought they had time to get it right. Waste of money. Lesson learned.. never again. Even the performers were frustrated. Some rushed off stage before they could finish. Please, please dont hv that foul mouthed Mary lady as Mcee.

Freddie was having the time of his life. I enjoyed the show. He did not miss a step and it was a Great show. Just wish it would have lasted 2 full hours.

Freddie was in his natural element on stage. He put on a fantastic show. He has a great voice still.

Great performance overall. I'm younger but LOVE Freddie Jackson because that's all my mom used to listen to. He was smooth and really engaged the crowd. Voice sounded amazing.

It's too bad people are so selfish and greedy they have to ruin what was a great show with there constant recording with there cell phones

Freddie Jackson did too much talking not enough singing. He did not sing one song completely. I paid to hear him sing, not for him to tell the audience to sing. I wasn't impressed with his performance at all.
