Jack Garratt

Jack Garratt

London-based singer and producer Jack Garratt creates cutting-edge electropop that culls from genres as diverse as rock, R&B, and 2-step. In concert Garrett puts on an impressive one-man show, jumping between keys, guitar, and electronic drum pads to whip up an impressive brew of bass-heavy beats and futuristic sounds. His lush falsetto vocals recall ‘80s icons like Prince and Freddie Mercury, but there’s nothing retro about the otherworldly synths and skittering rhythms of tracks like “Weathered” and “Chemical”. Garratt's soulful vocals, razor-sharp production skills, and electric on-stage energy make him a synth-soaked balladeer for a new gene.

One of the best concerts I have EVER attended. He connected SO well with the audience, he is so talented, and put on an amazing performance. 11/10 would recommend seeing him live!

This is the 3rd time we watched Jack Garratt and he managed to deliver, yet again ! Even though there wasn't new content - he managed to tweak his performance in a way that made it feel like an entirely new performance.

Jack Garratt is one of my favorite artists to see live. He puts on an amazing show - he is a great frontman and I've never seen a band let alone just one man make so much noise and have so much passion! Love you Jack.

Jack Garratt and Brasstracks created a night at the Belasco Theater that I will never forget. Throughout the whole event I was possessed by beats that made me dance, Jump, sing, and bang my head so much that I'm still kinda sore from it. I will definitely pay $40 for that whole show again and again.

I was so eager to see Jack Garratt; -from what I saw online, he looked like my new, favorite artist. The show was a disappointment though. He talked quite a bit, but I honestly had a hard time understanding him. (my fault) -he used the f-bomb in almost everyone sentence, which for me got old fast. His last song was his best; -absolute blow-away guitar work. He was fun to watch, but all in all... more than a little anti-climatic. I'd see him again though if he does another show.

He is an incredible musician and puts on a great show. Going in, I knew about 2 or 3 songs. But by the end, I wanted to go home and listen to his album. My only complaint is his live performance tops anything on his record. The passion and excitement he puts into his performance is inspiring. I would go again.

He is seriously amazing. Plays drums, drum pads, analog synth, keyboards, guitar all at once while singing. He is literally a one man show that you absolutely MUST SEE. Played a lot of songs from Phase, a cover mash up, and an original instrumental. I wish he played a longer set but honestly he put his all into his performance, I doubt that man was left with any energy afterwards. He was also super funny between songs. I think I may have fallen in love.

He plays all his own instruments and plays well. The sound engulfs the entire setting and his voice is remarkable. The crowd was into this new talent that just released his first CD. I liked that he told the audience, "this is my last song, I'm not coming out again." I don't like the game of are they coming out again or not. He is playing NYC again in June. I would highly recommend seeing him in these small venues before he explodes. The Music Hall of Williamsburg is a great venue and easy to get to by the way.

Jack Garratt has great soulful and electronic music to listen to no matter what mood you're in. However, you haven't heard Jack Garratt until you've heard him live. He is full of so much energy. He interacts with the crowd after just about every song. Not to mention the fact that he does not have a band. He switches between instruments playing his songs in real time. It's an amazing feat to watch.
