I've been to some really good concerts but this beets them all. We were close to the stage by the speakers on the left and were blown away. Blondie is not only an iconic band they're quite good as a band. Well rehearsed and professional. The drummer was impressively top notch, of course the whole band is talented. Debbie Harry was energetic and fun. Her voice cracked a few times but she is over 70! Can you believe that? Still belting it out after all these years. The last song was a punk version of the Titanic love song... and it was good. They had great visuals too. There were 2 opening acts, Deep Valley, a new band of 2 women who were quite good. The other was Garbage who were good instrumentally but the lead singer was too talky and very negative. I'm going to see Blondie when they come back next year and get there early so I can get right by the stage.

Blondie was amazing. For being 72 Debbie Harry was a firecracker. She danced, joked around and played the classics to the new album Pollinator. The band looked ancient except one of the guitarists but they all played well.

We showed up right before Garbage went on, so we didn't get a chance to see/hear the openers. Garbage was fantastic! Blondie was also very good, playing both new songs and hits from the 80s. Debbie Harry put on a great show!

the opening duo was so not for the crowd. Garbage would have been great if I could have seen the stage! when they came out everyone stood up and never sat down! Talented group. Kind of disappointed in Blondie. I don't agree that people should use their fame to promote their social issues (even if I agree with them) esp at their concerts. I would have enjoyed the concert more if I could have seen the entire stage! I didn't pay for a seat to stand the whole time!

Beyond all expectations and they were high to begin with! Finding out Exene and John from X were on this date was an amazing surprise, which only was added to, post show, when Exene was kind enough to let me (well i probably barged in looking back) interrupt a session at a slot machine and sign the Blondie tour poster for us. There is Youtube evidence capturing the solid, really inspired sets all the bands put on this night. As always The Pearl was a great venue, and I must be getting old to say I didn't mind having a seat in what could have been the pit area for this show. Great sound and lighting , I have to say the video screens could have been black all night as far as i was concerned, way too much going on onstage, but they look great on Youtube :) Exene and John played a great if a song or 2 too short of a set before heading back to the 18th floor, (if you were there you will know)to enjoy the view. Garbage isn't going to please everyone with this set list, but will keep you standing, jazz hands flying,( thanks neighbor), throughout, the boys killing it and Shirley stalking and circling the stage like the old days, with an interesting wardrobe choice(s) this outing!! Debbie, Chris and Clem riveted your attention to 3 places at once and the 2nd guitar player (look them up yourself) along with the rest of the band made for

This was the 3rd time seeing Blondie. She went over all the hits Heart of Glass, Call Me, Rapture and One Way or Another. She sounded great and looked great. Her back up band was awesome. The House of Blues is a great venue to see a concert esp because the sound is perfect. I was really impressed with Garbage this was the 1st time seeing them and they brought a lot of energy to the audience.

Great night for an outdoor concert. Security was fast, friendly, and efficient. Lines for drinks or bathroom never took too long. The sound was great from every angle as we walked around outside. The 15+ minutes between artists was a bit long, but you do what you've got to when you're changing sets, right? Now the guards inside the venue were a bit ridiculous. You could barely stand still near an aisle to take a picture or shoot a few seconds of video that they weren't shooing you away. Even after the concert had "ended" and we were in encore, they wouldn't let people any closer to the stage unless they had tickets to get into that section. It was a fun night, and both Garbage and Blondie were on point. Just watch out for the red shirts and don't stand still too long or they'll come get you!

Despite the heavy downpours throughout the night, we had an incredible time at Chastain Park Amphitheater in Atlanta. The 72 year-old punk diva continued her tradition of fabulousness, and Garbage was equally flawless. The warmup band, Deep Valley, is sure to go far.

Oh my gawd...this show. I grew up listening to both of these bands and it was so amazing to see them live. Shirley and Garbage rock just as much as they did in the 90s and they sounded fantastic. The show was amazing and I still knew every word to the songs! Blondie is legendary. Debbie is 72 freaking years old and can still get it. I realize this review sounds like I'm fangirling...but honestly this is one of the best shows I've been too. You can tell that both bands love what they do even after decades of performing. Also want to give kudos to the opener, Deap Vally. Those ladies were fantastic and I will be checking out more of them!

I have been wanting to see Debbie Harry perform for over a decade. I finally got to see Blondie and I was very impressed. My favorite song performed was ATOMIC. Debbie still has the moves and was dancing and moving all across the stage, and so was Shirley Manson. During Garbage's performance, Shirley saw a lady with a sign stating it was her birthday. Shirley told her to come up to the stage so she could sign it and to get a pic with her fan. My respect for her increased even more for her kindness. Even the opening act DEEP VALLEY was very good.

There were three acts in all: Deep Valley - a two person all female act. Guitar, Vocals and Drums. Surprisingly full sound and full throttle songs. Very impressed with them. Garbage - Awesome. Saw them 19 years ago at T in the Park in Scotland. I think they were even better this time. Shirley has a true rock singers voice and uses it brilliantly. She is a great front person for the band and has a whole lot of charisma. Like a fine wine she gets better with age. The guys back her up perfectly. They sound so good that you could almost believe you were at home listening to your MP3 player, CD or in my case vinyl records :). Blondie - Started with 3 of their older hits and covered them well. Debbie Harry is still capable but her voice has inevitably aged and she has to work around that while giving of her best. Clem Burke is still amazing on the drums. Don't know where he finds all the energy but wish I could have some. Chris stein is more muted but he is still there. The younger members are all good additions and their newer music is just as well crafted as their 70's hits.

The first group was unknown to me til they took the stage. I was impressed by their energy. Especially the drummer. She needs a bigger kit as she doesn't have enough to beat on now. Shirley was amazing as always and the addition of a new member (since last I saw them ) really rounded out the band. Debbie was looking beautiful and very healthy. I had a great night and was really happy I went.

I had never seen either act. I had heard shirley manson was a great stage presence. Wow! She absolutely dominates. On line shows do not do her justice. The rest of the band is great as well. I couldn't imagine seeing a more amazing show. It's going to be difficult to top these 2 legendary bands on one ticket, but I'd like to see someone try. I've been a lifelong fan of Blondie and I've loved Garbage almost as long. Shirley was just as full of fire as I imagined. I loved every minute watching this tiny pixie dominate the stage! Deborah Harry was absolutely perfect. She sang songs old and new, but she always commanded the stage. Remembering how I used to sing into my hairbrush in the mirror listening to Autoamerican and Parallel Lines, I got a little teary. I think she even picked me out of the crowd when I first walked up, but I'm not sure. I danced the whole time on the front row. This was a concert I'll never forget.

GARBAGE STOLE THE SHOW. THEY WERE OUTSTANDING. BLONDIES SETLIST IS TIRED. ALL THE SONGS IN THEIR CATALOG AND THEY PLAY THE SAME OLE 4 BIG POP HITS AND THEN SOME LOUSY COVERS. THE SOUND FOR THIS SHOW WASNT GREAT EITHER. I LOVE LOUD AND CLEAR MUSIC. THIS WAS LOUD AND FUZZY. TOO MUCH BASS TOO MUCH BUZZ, AND TOO LOUD OVER THE VOCALS. sOUND GUY SHOULD CHANGE CAREERS. SEEMED LIKED VISUALS WERE MORE IMPORTANT THAN SOUND. SIGN OF THE TIMES. ALL IN ALL, THIS WAS A FAIR SHOW, BUT IT WASNT GREAT. THE DUO DEAP VALLEY FROM LA WERE PRETTY FREAKING GOOD. BUT GARBAGE WINS!

The Rage & Rapture Tour stop at the Beacon Theater was a showcase for veteran female fronted bands who still know how to kick ass. Shirley Manson was absolutely fierce and owned the stage. Debbie Harry showed why she's an iconic rock n roll legend but drummer Clem Burke was the real MVP carrying the band through the classics and the excellent new songs like "Long Time". I sat in the second row of the balcony and the sound was not great, especially the vocals which did not really come through that well. All in all it was a terrific night of rock.

Deap Valley, a female duet group, was new to me and entertaining. Garbage's set was great and included classics and newer material. Really strong live music. I could have listened to more for hours. Blondie's set was full of energy and included new material. The band was very tight and had a great sound. Her classic numbers were fun and rocking, although her upper range is getting a little thin in Rapture, for instance. The newer music is a little slower and may take some getting used to. That said, her voice and stage presence is still really powerful, and if you like Blondie, you'll like the show.

So great to see these women-fronted bands. Shirley Manson was in fine form, strutting from one end of the stage to the other singing classics like "Stupid Girl" "I Think I'm Paranoid" and "I'm Only Happy When it Rains' and other Garbage favorites. Even the songs I didn't know had catchy hooks. Shirley Manson was friendly and talked to the audience a lot, which gave it an intimate feel. The band sounded fantastic and it was nice to hear veteran guitarist Steve Marker sounding as sharp as ever. The acoustics at the Blue Hills Pavilion are pretty damn good considering it's an outside venue. Debbie Harry looked fabulous and sounded fantastic. At 72 she can still rock out, her voice still strong. She is so charismatic and energetic. She played all the Blondie gems like "Hanging on the Telephone," "Rapture", "One Way or Another", "Atomic" and "Heart if Glass" even throwing in "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie "Titanic." The appreciative crowd was ecstatic. We need more women rockers!! Blue Hills is a wonderful place to see a concert on a nice summer's night, despite the $14 per beer cost.

Not sure if Debbie Harry was not feeling well. Blondie was sad and painful -- mostly because the voice wasn't there. I didn't expect Ms. Harry to move a whole lot, so the "cardboard cutout" action was probably okay. All of that was a massive contrast to the energetic and phenomenal set by Garbage. I had seen Garbage half-a-dozen times during their career. This show was a contender for the top spot on my list. So, go see this for Garbage. Also enjoy the opener (in Vegas, it was a low-key duo -- still trying to find out who they were). Then leave. Play some Blondie songs in the car as you drive home.

The band Blondie was the only part of the show I saw as parking at the venue was a nightmare. I wish there could've been a better set up. I now see Garbage in a brand new light and feel slightly stupid for not getting the message years ago. In my defense I am a melodic person who is into the rhythm of a song before I decipher the lyrics. Admittedly, most times the rhythm is all I need. When Shirley Manson relayed aspects of her troubled youth and inspiration for "making it" I was floored. Every old song sounded new after that revelation. I have been listening to their music ever since with fresh ears. Blondie was the second concert I ever attended back in 1979 (Belmont Racetrack NY. Nick Lowe and Rockpile opening). I have seen them multiple times and continue to keep up with their new material. Debbie is as beautiful as ever, Clem Burke beats those drums, still, like a man possessed, and Chris Stein rocks with a purposeful calm the betrays the hard edged rock sound his guitar puts out. The new members of the band are a fine fit and give Blondie's new material a familiar but, fresh sound. Keep Rockin' Blondie and Garbage!

I personally liked Garbage better, but that's just personal preference. Blondie was still an incredible show. It's amazing to realize Deborah Harry is 72!! Maybe she's not the performer she was in 1977 (don't know I never saw them back them, I was too young :) ) but she still put on a great performance. Then if you do the math, Deborah Harry is actually old enough to be Shirley Manson's (age 50) mother... LOL. All this is making me feel so old... Let's leave it at "Awesome performance by both bands!" and Deap Vally too!

I gave this show 3 stars only because the main act was upstaged by the opener.Garbage was tight and most important,Shirley Mansons voice is fantastic.Debbie Harrys voice not so much.Thats not to say that Blondie sucked,on the contrary they were damn good. But since most of the focus is on the singer well.....There were times Debbie sounded great and other times that were a bit cringe-worthy.

Deap Vally was an excellent surprise opening the show. Love them! Garbage was as always intense and awesome! The opening act was very mediocre, just a bunch of noise with too much bass. Garbage put on a very good show, as did Blondie. They had energy and sounded great. They also had a good rapport with the audience. I would have given the review 4 stars if the LIGHTS were not so distracting. I don't understand why there was a constant barrage of VERY BRIGHT lights flashed into the audience's eyes. It made it hard to enjoy the music to the fullest. We had to close our eyes for a good portion of both Garbage and Blondie because the lights were so irritating. And one of us still ended up with a migraine from the over-use of the lights. Now and then would have been fine, but it was really a bombardment and took away from the music.
