Bad Religion

With over three decades on the scene, Bad Religion are iconic stalwarts of the Southern California punk movement. Comprised of equal parts musicianship, rancor and intelligence, the band is known for their onslaught of well-crafted, finely executed songs of social commentary and sardonic wit. Tickets to their live concerts bear the holder witness to relentless, rapid-fire sets that span the breadth of their career, including entertaining diatribes of insight from frontman Greg Graffin. Their 2013 European tour featured over 40 concert dates across 15 countries, treating fans to extended sets of their decade-spanning catalog.

It was an amazing show! Against Me came out with energy and really got everyone going. I have waited many years to see Bad Religion and it was worth the wait. Those guys are still kickin ass and taking names. Its been a few years since I had been back to Jannus but its definetly a great spot for smaller shows.

Went by myself to see Bad religion. Two opening bands I had never heard of and never want to hear again. Then BR got up and said they played all their older songs the night before. They were good... I just set myself up to be let down by hoping for songs from earlier and going alone.

Gave an incredible full set and with such an extensive full library you of course still wanted more even though what you heard was everything you wanted to hear including a new song from the upcoming album. They have never disappointed, this being the (who knows how many times seeing them, I estimated 13). Old and new one song right after (Ramones style) another with only a few breaks to address the audience 90 min long and they were recording for a new, free live album (only one of the nights recording). More shows on sale, get your tickets asap! Thank you all three bands for an incredible night.

I have seen Bad Religion many times as they have been my most favorite band since I was twelve. This was by far the greatest show that I have seen. They played so many great songs and even a new one Resist Stance which was totally amazing and classic Bad Religion style. They will continue to be my favorite band because their lyrics and message and style cannot be beat. Thank you Bad Religion!!!!!

D.I. was pretty good since I never heard them before. Bad Religion was awesome like usual. It was my son's (9yrs old) first concert and liked Bad Religion. It was a little warm inside, they could've turned up the air a little with all the people inside but other than that we like going to HOB Anaheim.

Always filled with energy and spirit, they continue to rock year after year. It is really something to be said when a band is just as good live as they are on their album. As long as they continue to play shows, I will be there. NEVER STOP!!! 30 years and still going strong... I wave your flag (t) with my head held high-- I'm going for a walk...

If you can get tix to see their 30th Anniversary tour at HOB, then DO IT. You won't regret it. The small venue makes for a very personal experience with the band. Even if you're just a casual fan, you owe it to yourself to see this band live. As great as they are on the radio, Bad Religion is exponentially better live.

This was definitely a great show. Dave Hause was the opener, and he was pretty great. He had very similar melodies to his songs, but his lyrics were great, and about interesting subjects (like autism). Against Me! was amazing as per usual. I only wish their set could have been a bit longer!

Great band great venue. Loved the fact that you could get a drink quick and easy and also bring it out in the floor. BR played songs all across their spectrum. A nice mix. Only issue I had was the vocals got severely drowned out by guitar feedback. Not sure if it was the venue space or their setup. Overall good experience

Suffer and no control got me through a lot of hard times. I wanna generate cash for the band but the merch is hard to buy. Cara Santa Maria is a fan need I say more? The bass player looked like he was having the most fun. I wish the volume wasn't so loud ( I know I'm old but still ) use it like an instrument get loud for the good ones! My fav song was "we're only gonna die"

Admittedly, I am not a fan of either Bad Religion, or the direct support, Against Me. However, I'm always down for a show, and both acts impressed me. Punk music, should be,short, intense songs, and that's what B.R. delivers. 30ish songs in about 90 minutes, without missing a beat. Minimal talking between songs, so the music speaks for itself. Against Me brought the same stage presence of letting the music do the speaking. And they were awesome as well. Opener, Dave Hause, completely surprised me. 2 guys playing guitar, with a keyboard on stage ( for the guitar/keyboard combo) seemed to not fit on this tour. His songs, and his interaction with the audience proved to me that he is someone worthy of headlining status. I bought his cds at the show ( something I pretty much never do) because he was that good. Check out the tour if you can, or at least pick up some music to show support. You will not be disappointed.

The show was great, but I was really disappointed to show up and find that they were only plan songs from 2000- the present. It makes sense to do that, but you have to announce that when tickets go on sale! I would have chosen the other show if I knew that was the case. I can't afford to go to both shows (or stay up that late 2 work nights in a row). TELL PEOPLE IN ADVANCE if shows are specific to less than 1/2 of the repertoire.

Bad Religion always deliver a great show, independently of whether they are in a huge venue or a rather small one, like the Music Hall of Williamsburg. I attended both nights of their Battle of the Centuries, where they covered 60 songs of all their albums in front of a fully devoted audience and a very large number of stage divers. The "Battle of the Centuries" format gave fans the chance to listen songs from certain overlooked (and often underestimated) albums, such as No Substance and The New America and also enjoy their classics and even songs that at rarely heard live, such as Part III (one of my favorites since I bought my very first Bad Religion album back in 1997, the live album Tested) and We're Only Gonna Die (the only video I took over the two nights as I was enjoying so much I didn't want to waste my time to get my phone/camera out of my pocket). Despite they did not play one of their man anthems (21st Century Digital Boy) and a couple of my favorites (What is it, No Control, Punk Rock Song...), the excellent performance by this legends of punk rock covered the entire span of their career and left no one disappointed, rather everyone fully satisfied. Those two nights were my 18th and 19th time seeing Bad Religion live (it feels so long ago when I saw them live for the first time when I was 17 back in Barcelona), and there will definitively be more, many more, for as long as this great band, among my very top favorites, keeps recording albums and going on tour.

I saw Bad Religion at the House of Blues Houston on Friday April 3, 2015. Starting off the show was local band Dead to the World, and they put on a spectacular set. Loud, rowdy, and with almost 1000 people through the doors in time for their set, the pit was awesome. Next was OFF!, fronted by the legendary Keith Morris of Black Flag and Circle Jerks fame. They had serious energy and the songs only stopped long enough for Keith's witty between song banter. I'd like a chance to see them again, but as a headliner. Headlining this show, of course, was Bad Religion. They put out a solid effort and dug pretty deep for some songs you wouldn't normally hear live, like The Handshake. The only problem was that I missed a few of my favorites, like American Jesus, Walk, and 21st Century Digital Boy. Hard to quibble over the set list though, they've earned the right over 30 years to play what they want. I will say that somehow it's not the same without Greg Hetson. I was on the side of the stage with the rhythm guitarist, and the guy in Hetson's spot just kinda stood there, chewed gum, and looked bored while banging out the songs. If you've never seen BR before, I'd spend the money to check them out. If, like me, you've seen them several times before, save yourself the disappointment--this show didn't measure up.

First, it was a great show. X came on and turned us on to some classic tunes. I guess time was short as they did not chat up too much. They did not do encore but that just left me ready and wanting more music. Bad religion came on tore into it with a mix of old and new tunes. It was great. The crowd was cool and all ages. Good tunes good times. 11 dollar beers bit crazy though. I did not care for the distance of the seats I got but because the screens I could still keep up with what was happening on stage.

It was a great concert. Bad Religion still brings a lot of energy to their music. The guitar jams were great, the drummer was great and the lead singer was great. This show was great! I took my 40 y.o. brother, who is a jazz guitarist to his first punk show. He loved it as much as I did. The singer and lead guitarist dressed up for Halloween. I don't know who Dr Graffin was dressed as, but he looked like Ad-Rock from the License to Ill album. Greg Hetson wore a dress and a huge wig. He was supposed to be one of the girls from Jersey Shore. I have listened to these guys for over 20 years and they played music from just about every album they have.

I waited a few years to see Bad Religion without the hefty price tag of a festival ticket. Then to find out the Aggrolites, who I've seen open for Flogging Molly before, was the opening band made the wait even more worth while. Bad Religion was, of course, amazing. But I don't just say that because I'm a fan. Volume-wise, instruments were well balanced with the vocals and you could hear the backup vocals (sometimes a rarity at shows). Their timing was perfect and their energy level was high. I do wish they were better at working the crowd, but overall, very strong performers with an amazing opening band at one of my favorite venues.

Well, I saw Bad Religion 4 times in 10 days (twice in Las Vegas then twice here in West Hollywood), so it's kinda hard to distinguish one show from another in my mind precisely, but this particular show was on Easter Sunday. Jay Bentley (bassist) wore a full body bunny suit in celebration of candy day, as he called it. Needless to say they rocked the house as always and the pit was really going off. HOB has one HUGE bouncer who was right in the middle of it all, trying to keep people from getting hurt if they fell. It was a fantastic show. BR kicks ASS.

Bad Religion sounded truly great at the House of Blues in Anaheim last Friday! They really have perfected their music and seemed to have only gotten better with age. They played some new - and unlike most bands that try to make it happen as huge as they did back in the days, sounding old and lacking the style of their earlier days, Bad Religion has managed to maintain the same perfect style as they always have, with the same message showing that their music is something they believe in.

They may be pushing 50 and graying, but they can still pump an audiance like they did back in 1984, when I first became a loyal follower. The energy, in the mosh pit, was amazing! Would definitely go back in a few weeks when they return to Anaheim, but I don't know if my 40yo ears could handle it... They're still ringing. Most of the audiance was still in dipers in 1984. It was a young crowd. If my fellow Rocket Scientist colleagues knew, they would definitely not approve ;)

I have been waiting years to see Bad Religion and they were great. They played a lot of variety (unfortunately skipped most of my favorites) and had a lot of high energy. Venue was OK, not great

Both bands were AMAZING. The only bad thing I will say was that SLS venue was way too "fancy", the bar was expensive, and to top it all off they announced a "no mashing rule" before the shows started, security was actually standing in the crowd watching people and physically removing them if they even tried to jump or mosh. SLS IF YOU DON'T WANT MOSHING IN YOUR VENUE- DO NOT HAVE PUNK SHOWS!!!

Ist time seeing them, live. I have all but a couple of their albums and have always appreciated what they bring to the table. This show was great, the band really nailed it. Song's from their catalog, old & new never fade and they proved it. The Band clearly had everyone enjoying their performance. My only regret is that I wasn't at the barrier to appreciate the up-closeness of it all and to see how these cat's do what they do, using the tool's of their trade. Looking forward seeing them again. Thanx for coming to Las Vegas.

I got there too late to see the opener but heard a good review of him from a friend that got there early. Had never seen against me! Before but they put on a great show. Bad religion, as always, we're incredible. Jay Bentley came down to the front afterwards to take pictures and chat with fans for a solid 30 minutes. Such great guys! Can't wait til the next show.

So my review is more for the two opening acts than it is for Bad Religion. I saw them 20 years ago, and the show felt the same now as it was then. Good, but not my cup of tea. The first opening act was Dave Hause, who played a cool opening set with mostly his brother on a 2nd guitar and no other band. Made for a really cool sound with somewhat of a dueling guitar sound. Atom and Jay from AM & Bad religion joined on drums and bass for the last two songs and they were even better. Next up was Against Me!, and they did not disappoint. Played a nice long setlist for an opening act, and just completely kicked ass. Loved that they played some different songs than the last time I saw them, and I can't wait to see them again. The venue itself was perfectly suited for the smaller rock/punk show, we moved towards the back for Bad Religion, but were right up front for Dave and Against Me!

Two of my all time favorite bands playing together?!? I had to go. I had no idea who Dave Hause was so I listened to some of his stuff before and thought he would be better live. I still didn't think he fit in. Oh well. Bad Religion and Against me rocked it. Great venue too.

11/10 I took my brother to see Against Me! because we're mild fans. We knew maybe two of their songs. I've only every heard of Bad Religion, never played any of their music for myself, but I heard they were really good and the tickets were reasonable so we went and had an amazing time! Both groups were fantastic! The lead singer of Bad Religion wore a polo shirt to a PUNK concert, I was so tickled! If you're ever considering to see them, please do it!

Bad Religion was awesome as usual. First time I'd seen them headline. They did not disappoint. They even brought LJG out for a song. They were energetic as was the crowd. Greg doesn't look like the typical front man but always brings it. First time seeing Against Me!. LJG was amazing. Amazing enough for me to forgive them for not playing Thrash Unreal.

This was an excellent show. Everyone was mellow, no knuckleheads. A little of an older skewing crowd, which stands to reason since the band been playing over 30 years. Saw Pennywise the night before and didn't care for the line-up that night, Bad Religion cleansed my palette of that and left me stoked.

Unfortunately, Pacific Amphitheater needs to remind it's security nazis that this is a punk-type band and will get the crowd on it's feet. It isn't realistic to think that no one will be up dancing, or getting into the music, but that's what the security force thought everyone should do. My friend was even pulled out of the crowd for yelling. The band was great, and the venue has good seating, but I'm not sure I'll come back to see them if they play at PacAmp

Bad Religion and X put on a great show. For a bunch of classic folks that have been rocking the airwaves longer than many of the concert goers have been around, they sound. ed amazing! Their energy was great, the music was contagious, the sound levels were just right- and it looked like a packed house. They said they had just come back from touring Europe, and they seriously rocked the place! There was quite a mosh pit toward the end of the night in front of the stage- that made me thankful I wasn't in the middle of that, but it was fun to watch! It is good to see them playing, and playing so well, after all these years. Keep up the good work, and thanks for the.music!

I went to see the opening act X who I have seen before. Boy do they look old, but they still sound great. They played an awesome set and it lasted 45 minutes which is good for an opener. I had never seen Bad Religion and was not familiar with most of their newer songs. Fortunately, they played a lot of old songs which I did know and they sounded great. They sounded really good and were pretty entertaining. I would have given them 4.5 stars if I could have. Last weeks Offspring show got all 5, and that was better (yes, I know the connection).

I have seen Bad Religion play many times. I prefer them at a small venue but maybe that's because I'm short and have a hard time seeing over people. The crowd is so eclectic at their shows, from young to old, I love the diversity. I love even more that the younger kids are enjoying the same music I grew up with. Bad Religion puts on a great show and I encourage everyone to see them play live at least once.

If you are even contemplating seeing Bad Religion, don't wait a second longer! I saw them at the Oc Fair / verizon Ampitheater and it was one of the best shows I have been to of theirs! X was great too! The combination shouldn't be missed.

Can't wait to see them again! Words to the security; don't ever try to keep a punk show from having a pit, it's a wasted effort for you! Lol

Bad Religion has been playing for so long (33 years at my last count), that they've almost got it down to a science. With a career that spans nearly 4 decades, they have a pretty deep definitive set list. No complaints from this fan! Greg and the boys knock each song with a military precision unheard of in punk rock. The banter onstage is welcomed and I feel like I'm listening to my dads chit-chatting in between a musical jam. Love this band and I will keep coming to see them as long as they keep putting out albums.
