Awesome concert sounded better than there cd. Can,t wait till next tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flippin awesome. Amaranthe put a good opening act. wish the crowd was a bit more lively, they didn't seem to care much for Amaranthe despite Amaranthe being pretty awesome. Within Temptation was just awesome. They included songs from albums as early as Mother Earth which was pretty awesome!! Sharon is a goddess live, my god this was just an amazing concert. So much energy coming from the band throughout the concert. My neck literally hurt the next day from head banging the whole time.

Within Temptation put on an unforgettable show! They performed songs I never thought I'd hear live again. Sharon's voice is awesome and the band sounded epic!

Great show, could have been more than one opening band but I was really here to see WT. Venue crowd was ok except for some tall people cutting into the crowd and standing in front of short people, which seems to happen a lot at these shows. Had no idea VIP tix were previously available. WT - Please tour more in the US!

I have recently discovered this band and have absolutely loved everything I have heard from them. Sharon den Adel has some of the best vocals I have ever heard from rock band and I had to experience it live. While her and the rest of the band performed remarkably, there were some technical difficulties with the microphones during the show. I am not the biggest fan of the Terminal 5 venue, it is alright. It's not the best place for most concerts, but it's not the worst either. Bottomline: the band and their performance was amazing, would have preferred a different venue for them

What can one say? Within Temptation, argueably one of the biggest acts in Europe, in a small intimate venue. It's awesome to be 5 ft from the band! And even more awesome that they will come over here and play for us in such a small theater. The band never fails to satisfy! Sharon sounded awesome, and the band was very entertaining. If you are a WT fan don't miss one of these small venue shows!

Was at the show in Toronto on the 7th of Sept. If you have not seen WT live buy a ticket, they are one of the best bands that I have ever seen live and would more the recommend them,.

The concert was absolutely amazing! Although it has been 3 years since it passed, I still remember it as though it were yesterday. All the electricity that hung in the air was really contagious. There was so much excitement, and it was exceedingly fun filled for all. I enjoyed myself to the max and I can't wait for them to have another concert out here.

Within Temptation rocked, they really play with tons of positive energy, and keep you going. They played a really long set, with many songs spanning several albums, and Sharon just wouldn't quit, till the very end! They even did 3 songs as encore. There was only one opening act, Amaranthe, who I had never heard before the concert. They were also full of energy and I am now a fan of theirs as well! Great show, I'd recommend it to everyone.

This concert was one of the best concerts I have ever attended. Within Temptation is a great band and I am so honored to have seen them live. The music was excellent. I traveled a great distance to see them and it was worth it. I would do it all again. I love Within Temptation! The venue was good as well. The drinks were reasonable. Overall we had a terrific time.

I traveled to New York, as well as Baltimore and Worcester, MA to see Within Temptation and I greatly enjoyed each show. I would hope they might play few more older songs next time when they aren't touring for Hydra. But the songs they played were great.

Within Temptation was incredible. We saw them 2 years ago in NYC at Terminal 5, and they were good then. 2 years later, they havent missed a beat. Absolutely amazing. those of you who couldnt make it, really missed out.

The performance was absolutely amazing! I loved every song! The sound was well-balanced as heard from the main floor. I would definitely go again to their concerts. The venue itself is a bit small. I would prefer a bigger venue, like a hockey arena or similar. But, the venue's shortcomings did not make me love Within Temptation's performance any less. Great band! Awesome singer! Loved it!

Within Temptation was unforgettable! They are one of my favorite bands and it was so awesome to see them perform live in concert. However, the venue left something to be desired and is very underrated for a guest performer such as WT. Terminal 5 needs to have better acoustics and in general needs to be remodeled to suit the bands that perform there.

This was my first time at the venue in NYC so I didn't quite know what to expect but Within Temptation absolutely killed it and I can't wait to see them again. Sharon's voice is one of a kind that sounds as good live as it does on the albums. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with their performance, one of the best bands live I've ever seen and I go to a lot of concerts.

Dutch Symphonic Metal sensation Within Temptation performed to a sold out crowd at NYC's Terminal 5 on Friday October 10, 2014. The production values were excellent, with the guitars sounding razor sharp. (And -- they sound SO much HEAVIER live!) The soaring vocals of lead singer Sharon Den Adel were absolutely spell-binding. Along with the visual aspect of the show, and the band's flawless musicianship, the performance was nothing short of spectacular.

Within Temptation were amazing. Great musicians with fantastic energy. The venue is alright- the doors opened on time, no issues. It would be great if there was some ventilation (A/C?) there, as it gets really hot and really stinky in the venue.

I don't know what I loved more: the opening band, or Within Temptation! Both Amaranthe and Within Temptation were AMAZING. I got these tickets last minute from a friend, and I still can't believe that I was able to go to this great show.

Within Temptation were fantastic. We saw them on their European tour in Newcastle, England. The set was slightly different and played in a different order. I was disappointed they didn't play "Angels", but overall 10/10. Terminal 5 in New York, USA is a small venue, but ideal for the band. We loved it!

From the moment they got on stage during their intro movie on some background screens, I knew this was going to be amazing. Both lead guitarists ran out and jumped on little platforms just as they played the first chord. The stage lit up, and the crowd went wild. It was loud. It was epic. Shortly afterward, Sharon started singing while walking on stage. The crowd got even wilder and more excited, and the experience truly began. Considering this is my favorite band, and this was the first time seeing them live, this review may be biased. But simply put: it was awesome. The building was a bit smaller than expected, but the place wasn't too crowded. I arrived a little later than most people, but was still able to walk up to within 15 feet of the stage! It was a great spot. I could clearly see the facial expressions, the smiling, the guitar chords... I saw everything. Sharon acknowledged all of the audience--the front, the back, and even the people up on the balcony. At the end of the show, the band took a picture with the audience and posted it on their Facebook (they did this with all their concerts on this tour). There was minimal talking, and whatever talking there was usually lead into the topic of the next song. One such topic she talked about was her belief that it doesn't matter what your skin color is, what your sexual orientation is, or what your religious beliefs are--everyone is equal and should be treated with respect. The following song was Stand My Ground. Quite fitting. Before Within Temptation took the stage for almost two hours, a lesser-known band known as Amaranthe was putting on an awesome 40-minute show. Before this concert, I didn't care much for the death metal growls and harsh vocals. But seeing their performance made me want to get into that; I'll definitely be listening to their albums soon!

Sharon has the voice of a goddess, and is loud and in control of the crowd from beginning to end. Great showmanship. The only critique is pricey shirts, but that's not too bad.

Amaranthe and In Temptation both not only played extremely well, but also seemed to enjoy themselves just as much as the crowd. I had a lot of fun and would go see them again in a heartbeat!

I have been a fan of WT for many years now and when I heard of them touring here in the states and coming to the Philly area, I didn't even think twice about going to the show. I'm sure glad I did too, they were incredible, playing a monster 1hr 40min set, Amaranthe was a very solid opener playing with alot of energy.

Once more, Within Temptation went above and beyond. Solid band, great sound. Sharon is fantastic singing and entertaining live. I just love them. It is my second time I come to see them at the Electric Factory. I will do it again!

I've been a fan of Within Temptation for a long time, however, this was the first time I was able to see them live. The show was incredible. They are amazingn on stage, and Sharon's voice is just beautiful. As for the opening act, Amaranthe, they were pretty amazing live too. I'd never heard of them before, but am now a fan.

Few bands I've ever seen made me enjoy songs more live than on their original recordings. While the bands performance was outstanding, there were individual songs that I found to be more interesting in person. Loved the band!

It really was awesome show at terminal 5 in new york city, the venue was ok but i spected a better place for a band like them, anyway the show worth it. I hope see them again in a near future.

New stuff and old. Sounded great but too much prerecorded. Given the nature of the music I guess it was necessary. Either that or bring an orchestra.

Small venue meant they were playing just for us. They had just as much fun as we did; they can rock a small crowd just as much as a sold out arena. The opening act, though unlisted on the venue's site, was amazing and totally worth it. I think the only con of the night was the lack of air conditioning and the length of the intermission. Everything else was momentous.

The lights, sound, and screen projections made each moment of the night enticing.

Outstanding! !!! Sharon was bang on!!! The whole band was tight and every song was played to perfection.

WT was awesome. I flew from LA to see them. Loved the band. Definitely would do it again. However, I found issues with the house sound system. It was definitely powerful. We could hear the sound check while standing in line outside. I think the mixing should result in a sound closer to the studio sound. The overpowering subwoofers were a distraction.

This was simply an amazing show! I will definitely see them again.

As the current U.S. music scene seems determined to bury itself in shallowness (with, thankfully, still a few exceptions), serious rock and roll yet thrives in Europe, led by bands like Lacuna Coil, Nightwish and my favorite - Within Temptation. If you haven't seen the "Black Symphony" Blu-Ray, do yourself a favor and hunt it down. Labeled by some as symphonic goth metal (though WT says they don't consider themselves goth), whatever the label you apply, this is good stuff with themes from difficult, real-life issues to fantasy, intellectually composed and powerfully delivered. With their latest album (themed around the comic book The Unforgiving, and a slight move towards a more power-pop sound), WT embarked on a short, East-coast tour that was well worth the trip to Baltimore. After filling the mega-halls in Europe, my concern was that playing small U.S. venues might be a let-down to the WT crew and we might just see them going through the motions. That concern was quickly put to rest with the high energy thunder which came off the stage. While obviously stripped-down on the special effects, WT showed that they were enjoying playing to 1,500 just as much as they do for 30,000, that they could deliver the goods in the smaller, simpler setting, and are a band who can deliver their studio sound live. In such a small venue a band almost has to connect with the crowd, but WT was especially good at interaction, creating special moments, and showing genuine thanks to the fans. Sharon's voice showed a little strain early on (she even commented on hoping her voice held up), but she continued to belt out the operatic arias for nearly two hours with the passion and energy that WT fans have come to love. With a decent (and at times much better than decent) opening set by "3", This was a show to be seen. WT will probably come back to the U.S., and fans of serious rock need to give them a look-see when they do.

Got a spot right behind the soundboard and picked up a set list from the guy who was mixing for them after the show. It was a packed house but our view was great and the sound was great. Sharon's voice was amazing as always (she even blew out a mic at one point!). I would definitely recommend the venue to others.

I must say that the venue was awesome and The performance by the group was absolutely amazing!!!!!! I would go to this venue again and would recommend it to everybody!!!!!!

I couldn't wait to see my favourite band live for the first time. I didn't know what to expect, but it was definitely worth it. The ticket price was very cheap. The location of the venue easy to find. The venue was a lot smaller than I thought it would be and even though it was a sold out show I never felt crowded. I had a very good view of the stage and since it's not that big a venue I could see the band easily. The drinks were priced really cheap as well. The band came on stage only 5 minutes late and they stayed on for a full 90 minutes with no breaks and a 4-song encore. They were very engaging with the audience and everyone seemed to have a good time. I would recommend Within Temptation to all Gothic/Symphonic metal and even Rock lovers.

I can't rate this less than a 5 star because of how much I love this band. They were as amazing live as they are on video and cd's. The only thing was the venue was way too hot, there was no place to sit, and the sound quality was so so. At some point during a song, her mic went off due to some glitch or something that went wrong, but they fixed it pretty quickly. I wanna see them again!!!

Within Temptation has been, and always will be, my favorite band. Even in such a small venue, they managed to pull off an amazing show. They played many songs from earlier albums, and few from the newest one - which brought tears to my eyes. At one point, Sharon broke her mic - as she always messes something up - and the band started up the little baseball 'dun-dun-dun-dun' on their keyboard, drums, and guitars, keeping us all entertained and having us clap along. When they played 'What Have You Done', Sharon had us all sing Keith Caputo's part, and I have never felt anything more amazing than screaming those lyrics out as I watched them play before me.

I bought my tickets for this event when they first went on sale back on 23 Feb. 2011 and had them sticking to my fridge up until 9 Sept. when I drove out to PA to pick up a friend who wanted to go with me. We both hadn't been to NYC in years, and had an absolutely wonderful, amazing time and seeing this concert was totally worth the 10+ hour drive and the constant getting lost in NYC! It was an absolutely great experience and one that will not soon be forgotten. Within Temptation is one of the rare groups that actually sounds better live in a concert hall rather than on a CD and just as they did when I last saw them in Arizona years ago, they did not disappoint. Truly an awe-inspiring group. My only qualm was that it was over too quickly! Hopefully I'll get to see them in Europe when I'm over there in a few months.

This was the best concert ever! Terminal 5 is an extremely good venue and doesn't get very crowded even when sold out. I would definitely tell you to go to this band's show!

Within Temptation isn't well known here in the US, but hopefully that changes soon. This is their first trip here since 2007 and I drove four hours to see the show. Their stage presence and energy are fantastic and Sharon's voice is amazing! It was well worth the trip and price of admission. The venue was pretty nice. I had never been there, but it was clean and well managed. The opening act ("3") was surprisingly good and I'm sure we will hear more from them in the future.

seeing Within Temptation at Terminal 5 was amazing! the crowd was totally into their performance. the band was great on stage. Sharon den Adel's vocals were beautiful and powerful. definitely a night to remember!

This was my dream concert!! Within Temptation is my fave group and I have always said I would kill to see them live. Well, I didn't have to kill but I did get to see them in Toronto and it was an unbelievable concert. WT was everything I had hoped. Sharon was just as gorgeous as all the pix of her I had seen. If there was ever one concert I wanted, this was it!! Sharon said they hopefully would be back next year, well so will I!!! Within Temptation RULES!!

We've been following Within Temptation before they ever came to the States. We've seen them several times in NYC, Boston and Vienna, Austria. They never fail to deliver a great concert! It's been great watching them grow their listening audience.

I've waited to see Within Temptation for a very long time. The concert was amazing.

Alright, I am biased; this was my first concert I had ever been too. Nevertheless, I could not be more pleased that this was my first experience. The other concert goers were great fun, excited but not exceedingly so to the point of annoyance; I did not go home drenched in beer; the venue was intimate and you got great sound and; did I mention that Within Temptation was just too many levels of mind blowing amazing? No? Well, they were. Full stop. No need to go on further.

I had a great time at this show and I see that Terminal 5 was spruced up a bit and i saw more security than the last time I was there which wasn't so bad but Im mad i had to throw out my chips that I had in my bag. But good show and good atmospere.

Sharon sang her heart out and I loved it. The band sounded great and I will see them every year they come here. They play so many songs that it is well worth the ticket price.

This was my first time seeing both Within Temptation and Amaranthe in concert, and they did not disappoint! Amaranthe started of the night right, showcasing songs from their two previous albums, and their upcoming "Massive Addictive" album. Their set was fast, tight, and well arranged; a lot of great tracks that were perfect for getting the crowd ready for their more popular headliner. The new songs fit in perfectly too. I wasn't sure how things would work on a smaller stage with three vocalists, but at no point did it seem overwhelming, and the band worked well together. Will definitely see them again! Within Temptation was flawless. They've got their performances down to a science, and their presentation is almost identical to album quality, albeit with the added energy and charisma of Sharon den Adel. My only complaint is that it felt like they were rushing through their set - one song directly into another. This kept the energy up, but I would have loved a solo or two (guitar, drums, keys, whatever). However, I adore this band, and would never hold that against them. They played songs spanning almost their entire career, and even "lighter" songs were given an impressive edge in their live performance. I loved every moment that they were on stage. Simply put, they put on a spectacular show! I can't wait for their next visit!

The band did their best! It seemed that Sharon was twenty - she jumped all over the performance and sang almost without cease, the guys were professional too. Only one negative thing - I was barely deafen :)

Within Temptation was incredible! Non stop energy, full force performance! I can't believe a band of this caliber is still performing in small clubs! The stage set, lighting, effects, and background video was great, the sound was good, could have been better. The club was ok, don't bother going to the upper levels unless you can get a spot next to the railing, otherwise you can't see anything. Short people will have to try to stand behind other short people on the floor, or try for the side , you might get a view but you can't see the whole stage from the side.

THE OPENING ACT ARAMATH WAS GREAT. THE CROWD CAME TO SEE WITHIN TEMPTATION AND WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. WITHIN TEMPTATION SANG SOME SONGS FROM THE LATEST ALBUM HYDRA. PLUS SONGS FROM SOME OF THEIR PREVIOUS ALBUMS. WITHIN TEMPTATON HAD HIGH ENERGY AND WERE GREAT. SEEN THEM ONCE BEFORE 2 YEARS AGO AT THE ELECTRIC FACTORY AND HOPING TO SEE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

The lead vocalist, Sharon Den Adel, was incredible. Her voice was seamless and she sang excellent live. The guirarists have so much energy and encourage the entire crowd to sing along. It truely is a band effort to empower a crowd and the lead singer, of course had the spot light, but they acted like a unit and were powerful. The sound quality was impressive, the mic projected the voices with clarity and the show was, on a technical level, very good quality. Amaranthe were the openers, they were fantastic! The trio of singers have great voices and Elize is absolutely gorgeous in person. Sweden brought down the house and definitely succeeded in pumping the crowd for the headliners.

Being one of my favorite bands I expected to enjoy them, but I enjoyed them more than I could imagine. Had a great view on the floor! Only a couple people in between me and the stage. Sharon has great vocals and I would definitely go back to the venue.

When they first came out I was so excited! They all played really well and there was not a single person not dancing and or singing. Sharon sang great live (she had a cold too). They only took a 5 second brake, and they also came back out to sing after they sang their last song. I even forgot my legs really hurt.

Actually, I'm from russia. I never been in concerts in abroad. But this fall I was at concert of Wt, it was awesome!!!

Reading the reviews about concerts at Terminal 5 regarding people having bad experiences made me somewhat apprehensive about this was all about seeing Within Temptation live!!! I had no such complaints with the venue. It was easy to get in and out. The band was amazing and had a good mixture of their old and newer songs. Shannon really connects well with the audience with that infectious smile and the sound was incredible. They sound exactly like the records.

I love WT and saw them last time in 2007 in Boston. Sharon is an excellent singer. The only bad part of the show is a venue. I hate Terminal 5 - bad sound, bad space. Other than that, highly recommended.

Awesome show! It was the best of within temptation.

Everything about the concert was terrific.. from the opening act "3", to the video of Mother Maiden that started before WT came out singing "Shot in the Dark". Her vocals were pure angelic and it was easy to see that she was having fun singing the songs, along with the rest of the band. Even though she messed up here and there, it proved that she was not lip-singing & that her voice is true and pure. The audience in NY was awesome & sung along to almost every song. Will never forget this night! <3

This concert was amazing! Within Temptation were just great live, the songs were great and everyone had a great time singing along. The movies being played over the back of the stage looked great and except for a few problems (we never did see Sinead...), it was perfect the entire way through. I would definitely go again when they come back to nyc!

It was wonderful to see one of my favorite bands perform. They played some of my favortite songs and it sounded amazing! The venue was not designed too great so the stage area was narrow. I did get a good spot though. Even the upstairs seating doesn't offer a good view.

This was an excellent show. The opening band, Three, wasn't very good, in that they didn't really fit in with the headliners. Within Temptation, however, was incredible. Go see them.

Great show by the Dutch Band, Within Temptation. I've seen them in concert several times before, and they put on a wonderful show, as usual. Sharon was in fine voice, and the band was right on point. Only glitch in the show was during the performance of "Angels" when the mike blew. The reason I did not give them 5 stars is the projections they used were screened over a backdrop that had The Unforgiving symbol on it, and they were thus almost completely impossible to see. But the music rocked!

Sharon den Adel sounds amazing live. She hits such high notes with [what looks like] such little effort. Her voice was hypnotic and she looked beautiful. The entire band was amazing. I loved when the three guitarist jammed during the opening of one of her songs. Terminal 5, however is quite the experience.....a lot of standing.....for me and my group (about 7 hours total of standing). You stand on line outside [of the building], you stand on line inside, then you stand for the entire concert. Thank goodness Within Temptation was worth it....Great Concert!!!

Awesome event. Sucked that they would not allow using normal cameras to capture the concert, but w/e. I've enjoyed the concert itself immensely! Yay, WT!

Within Temptation was hands down amazing. Sharon's voice was beautiful and the band sounded perfect. My one complaint was the bass was so loud the entire place shook. WT is more or less symphonic metal so bass is a given but it was just too loud. This isn't the first time I've been to Terminal 5 and it's something that is always my only complaint with the venue. Maybe they need a new sound guy... The opener (a band I'd never heard of) was 3 (yes just the #) and they were from upstate NY. Over all they're a rock band to me and very good. With Within Temptation's new album, 3 was a perfect fit. The singer/guitarist did an awesome jam session towards the end and the guy can play great. Over all the nite was a blast and everyone in my group enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

Eventhough there seemed to be issues with sound, Sharon never gave up on her fans. She rocked it out loud and was singing hit after hit. There were only about two slow songs in her entire performance. The venue was a sold out show and there were alot of people in this event. This was a great place to perform. Lots of space. Im glad I got to see her twice. Oh yes, she closed the show with Mother Earth: with a bang! Love you Sharon, keep up the great work!

I read many terrible reviews about Terminal 5 and was prepared for the worst; However, my worries were not warranted. The sound was very acceptable for the type of venue that Terminal 5 is. If you are not a rookie to these events, you know that you have to arrive early to get a choice spot to see and hear. I heard many people complaining about not being able to see before the show started. All I can say is get there earlier especially if you are short in stature and you will be happier for it. As far as Within Temptation goes, I had an absolute great time. The band was full of energy and did an excellent job of keeping the crowed energized throughout the show. They played a good balance of new songs from Unforgiving and placing older favorites throughout the show. They have so many great songs that the show could have gone for hours and I don't think anyone would have minded. I saw them the night before in Massachusetts and they were equally good there. I met people at the New York show that came from Iowa and Oragon. I drove from Eastern Connecticut and I don't think anyone was disappointed. I will defiantly see them again if they return...I hope they don't wait another 5 years. Thanks WT for a great time.

An amazing concert... The opening band was great, pumping everyone up for the main attraction: Within Temptation! Everyone in the band looked and sounded exactly like they do in their music videos, and their interaction with the audience was great. You could tell that they really loved their fans by the constant eye contact and inclusion in all the song. Overall, it was just amazing.

The energy in the concert was amazing! From beginning to end it was nonstop. If I had any complaint is that like all good things, it had to end. The highlight of the of the concert was "memories.". Most of the songs they played was from their new album. I would love to fly and see them again.

Best live show I have seen for a power metal band. Sharon and the rest of the band were awesome. Vocals were great and the instrumentals were also great. I was on the floor and close to the stage and had great views.

Within Temptation was deff worth the 8 hour drive to go see it. Sharron ( the singer) has such a powerful and amazing voice live that it is breathtaking. highly recommended to see them live.

What an awesome show! Within Temptation never disappoints and this was no exception. It's been years since their last show in NYC and the states, and they put on a great set. One of the songs had audio issues, which was too bad, because they could not complete the song.

The Within Temptation concert at Terminal 5 in NYC was nothing short of AMAZING. The energy was intense and palpable! The Sold Out Venue rocked in unison! Sharon's strong, melodic, haunting voice floated over the surge of energy that the band offered and the crowd devoured. It rose and dipped enticing the crowd into a near frenzy. The electric guitar rifts coaxed and tempted us all. It was symphonic grandeur at it's finest hour!! By the end of the night we were all locked within very jaws of temptation itself. A band not ever to be missed! You will not be disappointed!

what can i say about this band? they are amazing and they are incredible LIVE!! not many bands can say that . even the opening act was pretty good, they totally won over the crowd even though everyone was dying to see the main band. I wish the show was longer and hope to see them soon :)

I loved every second of it! They were amazing, the space was sweet, and the lighting efects were awesome.

First time seen them and already want to see them again. Greatest band and sharon has the best voice in the world . Colombia loves you guys.

Within Temptation coming to the USA has been something i have been waiting for for a long time, and they did not disappoint. Terminal 5 itself was a great venue for the show as it was very open,great lighting,and multiple floors to see the stage from. But from the moment they went on to the moment they finished,just a great show all around.
