The Griswolds
This wasn't supposed to happen. One inobtrusive night, Sydney-based musicians Christopher Whitehall and Daniel Duque-Perez.met to expand on a guitar riff and ended up striking the figurative match to a band now known as The Griswolds. Oh, and that riff? It grew into "Mississippi," a yelpy, sunny track which hearkens to the equatorial jungles and convinced both musicians to skip out on their current projects and form that band.

The stage setup allowed for us to feel very close to the band while still being in the middle of the crowd. The Griswolds seemed astonished that Ohio's little corner of the world had so much love for them. The crowd definitely responded to the music, which only heightened the experience. Thanks A&R

Not only is the band amazing, but so were the opening acts. They truly made the concert an unforgettable experience. They really connect with the crowd and make it such a fun experience.

The show was opened by newly formed Blame Candy who featured songs like When I was Cool and my favorite Life like You from their new EP. The haunting guitar melodies and synchronized dance moves not only warmed up the crowd but captured their hearts. Dreamers followed kept up the energy up with tunes like Painkiller and had fans howling to Wolves from their debut LP-This Album Does Not Exist. After some crowd surfing and grungy guitar solos by Dreamers, The Griswolds arrived on stage overcome by the love from the crowd. Their set included music from their 2 diverse albums. The vocals from Chris Whitehall swooned the young ladies in the front into a frenzy. The crowd responded well to the new sound but sang and danced like popcorn over a hot fire to the old hits. When the fans heard that familiar guitar riff for Beware the Dog, the crowd and band exploded in dance, bouncing hard enough to shake the venue. Last song was a cover of Outkast's Hey Ya with Dreamers helping ending the party for the night. Great vibe and fantastic show overall.

The Griswold's were fantastic as always and the opening act Urban Cone from Sweden were outstanding. The guest for the final song was Tove Lo, an incredible performance

Before the show began, the lead singer came out and greeted the people waiting which I thought was very cool. Me and my friends got there way too early so we had to wait a long time; I'd recommend not getting there until 8:30 (you'll still get pretty good seats, it's a relatively small venue). The opening act, Urban Cone, was a Swedish indie pop band and they were a very interesting and entertaining listen. They brought out Tove Lo as a surprise guest which was really fun. The Griswolds put on a great show, they really know how to entertain. They played all of their songs except one, even the old ones like Red Tuxedo, so if you're an old fan, you'll love it. We sang happy birthday to the drummer but I'm pretty sure they do that at every show. It was really fun; my only critique is that the sound wasn't too great but then again, I was right near the speakers so that may have impacted it.

Both bands were really good, friendly, and a lot of fun. But they did start pretty late so there was a lot of down time
