I have always liked the new Christy Minstrels. Now I realize Randy is 82 years old and some group members aren't far behind. Randy was amazing for his age. His energy was something to be admired. Their live performance left something to be desired. I was very disappointed with the sound system. It just wasn't balanced. Some people too quite, some people too loud. They need a live sound engineer throughout the performance. Even if they don't want to take a person on the road...they should hire a local professional through the musician's association. It sure would help a lot. Randy also needs to be aware to sing into the mic. Sometimes he would stray and his voice dropped off. But overall, it was an enjoyable experience. I loved Randy's stories and banter. I appreciate the experience of seeing the #1 pioneering folk group.

What a wonderful trip to the happy past of the sixties, when folk music was supreme! Randy Sparks and his musicians still can dish out the harmony and the emotion of their wonderful songs. The blend of voices and instruments was perfect.

We really enjoyed the show, it's amazing that they still sound the same with a lot of new members in the band. This is the 3rd time we have been at their concerts and we would go again.

Sound hasn't changed. Randy is funny as ever. New additions to the group are terrific. Barry is terrific as always.

Only felt bad about the fact that there wasn't a very big crown to enjoy this FANTASTIC performance.

AS with Kenny Rogers the band and guitars were much to loud. Need to turn volume on musical instruments down so we can hear the singers.

A very fun show - many very talented musicians! During the first half the bass was way too loud, overpowering the singing. We talked to the sound director during intermission and he made some adjustments so the second half was much, much better - all sounds blended very well so we could hear the words. thanks for a great show!

Our seats were the best we could get considering the fact that we wanted an aisle location and a moderate space, neither too close or too far away.

The New Christy Minstrels concert was so enjoyable! Very entertaining evening. Very much enjoyed hearing music that I had not heard in years, some of them not since I was a small child. Singing Happy Birthday to Barry McGuire was fun also. They have such a broad variety of music and talents that almost everyone would enjoy one of their concerts

The show was so good. It was particularly exciting to me as it was the first time that had seen randy Sparks live. The group was very good and all were top notch professional musicians. In keeping with the New Christy Minstrel tradition, each of the performers is talented enough to be a star in their own right. Randy Sparks has the ability to bring together such a group and produce a great show. I have been a devotee of the New Christy Minstrels since I was in high school. To listen and sing alone remembering the classic songs that made the group and Randy Sparks international known, quite moving. These songs reside in one's heart for a lifetime. I observed others that appeared to have the same experience. Lastly, I must say the Randy Sparks is a true entertainer, and keeps the spirit of 'the show must go on.' The 78 year old professional was so lively and brought many of the stories involving new and former members of the New Christy Minstrels to life. His age paired with his health problems did not slow him down a bit. It is a testimony of his great work, which like him, endures. I drove 1000 miles total to see the New Christy Minstrels, and I would gladly do it again.

Classmates of the Class of 1966 went to the concert to celebrate their 45th reunion and it was FABULOUS!!! There were so many memories--good and not-so-good--that were brought back. What a GREAT performance, and even after having seen the New Christy Minstrels in Great Bend, KS about 2 months ago it was a night to remember. Would go again and again....Thanks to all that made it happen!!!
