The Boxer Rebellion

THE BOXER REBELLION IN CONCERT:Indie rockers the Boxer Rebellion have been wowing audiences around the world with their infectious collection of hits since their inception in 2001. The band mixes emotive lyrics and catchy guitar riffs with hard-hitting drums and the crooning of frontman Nathan Nicholson to create a driving rock sound that plays out perfectly live. They shred out fan favorites like "The Runner" alongside the popular track "Diamonds" from 2013's Promises with immense energy, and fans can't help but clap and sing along to their hit-filled sets on their thrilling live tours. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:The Boxer Rebellion formed in London when Nashville, Tennessee, native Nathan Nicholson moved to the UK on a whim in 2000 and met Australian Todd Howe soon after.

TBR concert was amazing ! The music, the lights, the people ! It was my brothers first time going to a concert and it was a wonderful experience. Pier was outside selling shirts, such a nice man, he even let me take a photo with him. They introduced us to Fossil Collective. They are an awesome band. You should check them out. It was their first time performing in America. They will be back for sure !

I first heard this band in a movie and have been hooked ever since! They have such a unique sound, moving lyrics, sometimes haunting vocals that grab you in the gut and most songs, well you just cant sit still. They gave a great show and hung around after to talk with their fans. They are a group of cool guys that are also down to earth. Absolutely a must see! They said they are planning on coming back here again next year.

First of, great start by Canon Blue as I've never heard of their band before, but they sure did set the atmosphere for a great night. Before The Boxer Rebellion came on the set, I was worried that they might only sing songs from the current or most latest album The Cold Still, but that wasn't the case at all. They were pretty well rounded in terms of the songs they sung as they played some from their Union and Exits album, that's right, Exits album. which was truly a surprise. They also involved the crowd pretty well as Nathan encourage the crowd to sing the song Soviet along with him. It was nice to know that Nathan's favorite song is Caught by the Light and the band managed to do a cover song as well, but couldn't figure out which song it was. Overall, great performance, great music, and great set. I Highly Recommend for anyone who's a fan of The Boxer Rebellion and their type of music.

The Roxy Theatre is a great location for any band to play but the Boxer Rebellion had a great setlist that made it really fun! One of the bands that opened for them, We Are Augustines, were amazing and got everyone really pumped! The Boxer Rebellion were really fun to watch and sounded just like the cd. After the concert they took pictures with everyone and signed shirts and posters which I thought was really nice of them. It was a great concert! I would recommend seeing The Boxer Rebellion, or We Are Augustines, or just go to the Roxy for fun! It's a great venue.

I bought tickets for this show for 10 people. I liked the venue and of course, I was overwhelmed at Boxer Rebellion. I believe this band can only go up. It was a great show. Very polished and came to play. I would be very interested in seeing them again if they're playing in the Southern California area. We reserved a booth and really enjoyed everything about our evening at the Roxy. I saw Boxer Rebellion in the movie "long distance" and just had to see if they were real and what schedule they might have. Fortunately, they came to California. I can't wait to see them again. Can you get me some great tickets?

Hi-voltage show despite sweltering sauna conditions - Boxer Rebellion as good live as on their latest record The Cold Still. Incredible song after song finished off by a three song encore. Kudos to opening act We Are Augustines for scintillating set.

What a night. So much energy for two incredible bands. We Are Augustines kicked off the night with an amazing set of lively songs that had many in the crowd dancing. My favorite songs were Book of James, Chapel Song and their closing song. I can't wait for their album to come out. The Boxer Rebellion then came on with a killer show. I just couldn't get enough and wished that the night wouldn't end. Everyone must buy their new album.

...Nights like these are few and far between, sadly. With the support act (by no means needing the word support) We Are Augustine opened the evening in spectacular fashion. Honest to God emotion and thanks is always a crowd pleaser - And I was suckered in like a fish on a dirty tank... After a few more vodka's The Boxer Rebellion began their set... What a wondeful experience. Having been somewhat reluctant to express my real admiration for the band of men from various countries I have to now say "BLOODY BRILLIANT" and slapped me like kitten in play... sharp and deliberate. The effort and care the lads put in would assure them in my memory bank of gigs as eventuful and worthy of repeating in drunken conversations.... They had to be good.. I busted out a classic "windmill dance".... Ever greatful for the response from the crowd at the Music Hall Williamsburg The Boxers signed CD's and were utter gentleman..... Now... I wish same could be said about the theif that stole my purse and phone.... I did get both back minus my holiday spending money!! BAD TIMES. Please make a concerted effort to listen to The Boxers.. you won't be disappointed...... Machine Gun Antics are pretty cool!! BANG BANG KITTEH!!

Guys keep progressing their style. Writing and musicianship is stronger as their library gets more and more robust with different moods and arrangements. Strange mix of crowd-some looking for pop hits and those wanting the more aggressive and introspective nature of this music. Opening band We Are Augustines rocked hard. Good combo billing.

Have been watching for tBR to hit the states since iTunes did the Live at London recording. They did not disappoint. Bowery Ballroom is a great venue -- like NYC used to be with a minimum of posers (mmm, take that back, I think there were more posers in the Mudd Club days). They seemed humbled by the crowd -- these guys deserve so much more of a following !!

Went to boxer rebellion for the first time with no expectations. And the first 30mins was inspiring, making me wonder why these guys are as underappreciated as they are. Then I realised over the next hour as the lead singer revealed his arrogance and entitled personality. What a sour taste left in my ears. Good luck to boxer rebellion establishing a fan base with shows like that.

Great show, great venue. Played terrific songs, and nailed them. I was a bit concerned as this was the first time I was seeing them without Todd on guitar, but after the first two songs, my fears were a thing of the past. Their new guitar lead was incredible. Overall, great music, and they sounded Just great. Wish I could say the same about the opening band (Hey Anna), but can't. I did NOT like their music. IMO, they looked and sounded like a High School band.

I wish I had a bigger vocabulary because awesome doesn't touch it. Nathan bopping up and down crooning out the vocals. Adam plucking that bass so that I could actually feel my heart bumping almost out of my chest to the beat. Piers skillfully banging on the drums. And Todd. Not only wailing a heavenly lead guitar but making eye contact contact with the audience, drawing you in and bravely jumping into the audience without missing a beat. Spectacular, stellar, awesome. Can't wait to see TBR again. And a huge thank you to Todd for taking me under his wing at the pool hall after. Mad fun. Wicked show.

Intimate setting, standing room only, no seats; the band really engaged the crowd. At one point the lead guitarist, Todd Howe, jumped into the crowd with his guitar and ripped out the tunes up close and personal - awesome! The timing of the show was perfect, not too long, not too short. Their music is amazing, just takes your heart and soul to a different dimension. Can't say enough, I'd see them again in a heartbeat, pun intended. ;-)

From the opening band Fossil collective which was, I would venture to say equally as good in their own way, TBR proved to be one of those bands that could deliver amazingly good quality music live! As a bonus for the fans, they worked their own souvenir stand so meeting them and chatting was as easy as buying a drink at the bar and the humble approach indicated how appreciative they are of their fans. Let's hope this doesn't change with the well deserved fame and recognition that should eventually come their way. Bottom line, I flew to LA from FL to see them and it was worth every hour on that red eye flight!

Firstly, this venue was just perfect for this type of band. It was small enough to be intimate, yet allowed for enough standing room and room to move around. The opener "Canon Blue" was great! I usually can't wait for the opener to get off the stage but this band was really good. As for TBR. I can honestly say, that without a doubt, this was the best live show that I have ever been to. Their stage presence was phenomenal and Nathan Nicholson (the lead) has the most beautiful voice. I had been following the band for a little less than a year and I loved their studio recordings. But after seeing them live I have a whole new respect for them. All I can say is you have NOT heard this band until you have heard them live. I vowed to myself to see them every time they come to LA. It was just that good.
