Carly Rae Jepsen

Since reaching the Top 3 on “Canadian Idol” in 2007, songstress Carly Rae Jepsen rocketed to stardom in 2011 with a catchy sing-along, “Call Me Maybe,” that’s now a bonafide piece of 21st century pop culture. The single’s international success and 400 million-plus YouTube views are largely due to ticket-selling titan Justin Bieber, who talked up the single on social media and eventually offered to share his manager, Scooter Braun. The rest, as they say, is history. Jepsen’s first international foray, the six-song EP “Curiosity,” peaked interest in 2012 and earned loose comparisons to dance-pop superstars like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Jessica Simpson.

The entire concert was open standing space, so getting there early was a huge plus! Solid opening performances and Carly was terrific! Would definitely recommend to a fried and am sad I was only able to make it to one of her shows for this tour. The venue was also really nice and well taken care of.

Carly Rae Jepsen was amazing at the House of Blues. Despite the small crowd, she gave it her best as it were a sold out stadium. Her energy was reflected by the crowd that sang along to all of her songs and moved energetically to the music.

She gave us a great show one thats unforgetable! I admit I'm a huge fan so that would be one reason why i love her but thats just not all of it. She has great stage performance, gets the crowd going, wonderful singer and plus she's cute too! I took my sister(who was not a very big fan of carly) to the Believe concert by JB and she fell in love with Carly who was opening for him. Now she's also as a big fan as I am. So basically she is a highly recommended singer. You all should check her out!

Shane Harper was poor but at least he played for a full 45 minutes. Disappointed that Carly Rae only played for 37 minutes. She has so much good material she could have stretched it to at least an hour. Stunned that she played Call Me Maybe 32 minutes into the concert then left the stage in such a hurry... no chance for an encore.

She has a good voice that sounds a bit nasally. Her mic volume was too low at the start of her performance but then the sound person made it too loud. Her music has a good dance quality that I enjoyed. The fair is a great place to watch a concert because it is a small place and you can see the performer easily. They also had some big screens to help the fans get a closer view.

I bought tickets for my daughter (13) and niece (9), and an extra which my nephew was forced to go. They sat in the fifth row and when we met them at the gate when it was over, they were still excited and I got lots of hugs and kisses. All they could say was you and Carly rock!!!. Talented singer, but all the songs sounded the same. She was not into the concert, just show up, do a few songs and leave. She was not into the event, so therefore did not connect with the audience. At most, connected barely with the people she tweets with and had them come up on the stage.

The concert started late which caused problems later on in the evening for us as we had taken public transportation and missed the last train back to the station. Shane Harper had more of the spotlight than Ms. Jepsen. Ms. Jepsen apparently was having some vocal issues as my kids commented that she sounded "screechy". Also, with only one song that was familiar they found themselves bored.

Shane Harper gave a great performance and interacted with the audience. He played for 45 minutes. Carly Rae Jepsen performed for roughly 30 minutes. What a disappointment. I've never been to a concert where the opening act played a longer set than the headliner. I paid a lot for my tickets.

Shane Harper opened the show on time. His songs were mostly enjoyable but there were a few sleeper songs. Overall enjoyable for the 45 minute set. Carly Rae was just okay. Her songs were enjoyable but the biggest disappointment was that she only had a 45 minute set!!! AND she had NO encore. I think the audience was in shock that her show had ended after 45 minutes because I could hear the people around me saying "Is that it? Is it over?". To everyone's surprise, it was over!

Very disappointed. All the songs had minimal words pasted together in simplistic ways and repeated ad infinitum, interspersed with oohs. ahhs and eehhs. Lousy dancing and stage presence. No real dialog with audience, except naming songs. The most boring concert I've ever attended.

She played 6-7 songs, 2 were her hits. No encores - lights came on to send everyone home and she raced off stage. I realize she's new and maybe doesn't have a lot of songs but she could have at least done an encore.. even if it was a cover of another band. It was a nice night, outdoors at the LA Fair - the screaming 8-12 year olds was kinda interesting, but showed who she truly has as her fan base. I didn't expect much from this concert... and not much is what I received. I didn't expect much when I saw All American Rejects - and thy gave me the "Wow" factor for the year. awesome band.

Both Carly Rae and The Wanted were absolutely amazing! I enjoyed Carly Rae's part a little bit more, but that's my own personal opinion. I would definitely go see either of them again!! Plus, there were little surprises like confetti, balloons, and fireworks during Carly Rae's section that everyone went crazy for! Especially young children. The Wanted even brought a few lucky girls onto stage and sang to them. Adorable!

I was disappointed to see an 80 minute set from such a young artist. She could have played longer. She did a ton of songs from the new album and only 3 from her last one. Great voice, energy and performer. We enjoyed it! Kardiknox was great too and very nice when we met the lead singer in the lobby selling merch.

I had the VIP upgrade and I met her, she is such a sweet person and even took the time to answer some questions. Her voice sounds just like it dose on the radio and she puts on a fun show. She also gets very involved with the crowd, she held some hands and even got down into the crowd while singing call me maybe. Overall one of the best concerts I have been to.

Carly is absolutely amazing! She puts on one of the best shows I've seen. She is so adorable and cares about the audience an her fans more than anything, which is rare in some artists. she's sweet and cute and the show reflects exactly that. Old fashioned an bubblegum pop make a good mix! confetti, balloons and an all around good time. even though there wasn't that big of a crowd at this show, I would watch her over and over again :)

Carley Rae knows her audience and plays to them well. She was definitely a pop star on stage which appealed to my 11 year old daughter, but she was not suggestive in her dress or her staging, which I really appreciated. The music was fun and she had fun at times with the audience. A one point, they brought out giant balloons for the kids to bounce around in the audience. Even though Carly wasn't feeling good, she came out & put on an amazing show for her fans. She even had her sister. When The Wanted came out I'm pretty sure every girl in the arena had a fan girl moment. They were so crowd involved & had everyone interacting. It was a lot different compared to the country shows I've saw. It's made me want to see more of the R&B, pop genres.

Good show but a couple words of advice. First mistake: The Wanted went before Carly Rae. Half the audience left after The Wanted. She should have opened for them. The Wanted was fantastic. They were upbeat, funny, sang great, and entertained the crowd greatly. Carly Rae not so much. She needs to learn some better stage presence. Talk to the audience a little. Get them to participate- wave to fans, get them to wave, dance, etc. She also sounded like a chipmunk, live. All in all, I see why half the audience left.

I loved the concert it was great but I will say this Carly Rae Jepson should have gone first not that she was bad but it was more of a family situation. Her ages were so young maybe 5 on up where as The Wanted ages group is 14 on up so I just thought it would have been so much more appropriate for The Wanted to go second cause little ones shouldn't be out so late. The Wanted's performance was amazing and their talent just shines live they did an amazing job and played the crowd wonderfully, if you ever get a chance to see them live go for it, cause the actually do sing live and they love it you can tell.
