100 Monkeys are extremely talented and innovative, and each show is like seeing them for the first time. Their songs are amazingly catchy, funny, deep, ironic..... the song-writing is very original. As for The Stone Pony, it's an awesome venue, with reasonably-priced drinks, 2 stages: one inside and one outside. When the inside band finishes their set, the outside stage automatically picks up, and vice-versa--so you never have to wait for live music! If you're a smoker, it was very smoker-friendly by the outside stage...you just need to walk through a doorway, where you can still see the inside stage also! They have a small kitchen with bar food, which was fantastic. We saw many different acts that night, and all of them brought something different--it was a perfect night!

Talk about a great night out! The 100 Monkeys concert at the Anaheim House of Blues was simply a treat. Whether you've heard their music before or not, the band is great to watch just for their pure enjoyment of their work. But that's not all - their music's great, too! The opening three bands needed more work and polish to be on par with 100 Monkeys. Seemed as if they couldn't hear themselves, which might have been their goal. For each of the three, lead singers were flat and unimaginative - the kiss of death for an opener. When the star attraction began to play, leading with Mr. Orson Brawl, the room became electric. It's obvious the band loves to perform and really puts on a great show. I've been to my share of concerts, and I can say without hesitation that 100 Monkeys makes you feel as if it's a personal, intimate visit from musicians who love their music. I recommend them full heartedly.

I though the energy all bands showed was amazing. I really like Sabrosa Purr there music realy rocked. The Paul McDonald filled the time while 100 monkeys took a break that was cool. Then the monkeys returned to the stage and them and McDonald improved at least a 5 minute song. Overall amazing show for the price of the tickets. I would go see them again.

Went with a friend who is an avid 100 Monkeys fan. Overall the show was high energy and a lot of fun but I have to say the band I enjoyed the most was the opening band Toy Bombs. The El Ray always has great sound it's a fun venue to see shows.

I seriously loved each performance from everyone that played. Toy Bombs and Sabrosa were amazing at getting the crowd hyped up, and of course the 100 Monkeys were so enthusiastic and theatrical. The venue was great and they sounded amazing. Paul McDonald was a great surprise, and Nikki Reed and Ashley Greene were there as well....So sweet!

I went to go see 100 Monkeys at the El Ray with my niece who loves them. But clearly the band to see was SABROSA PURR ,the middle band to play. They really rocked it!!! 1.Great sound 2.Fantastic energy 3.And a old school stage presence Any one with half a mind will give this band a chance. Yeah Purr

I would give this event 5 stars but Paul McDonald put a damper on my night. I just don't like that man. Other than that Idol reject, the concert was amazing and the bartenders were A++++ with the booze. El Rey definitely takes the cake among L.A. music venues. Love it there!

An evening with 100 Monkeys is guranteed to always be an entertaining one. They have a great energy and a songbook that plays better live than on the recordings. Every member of the band plays multiple instruments and takes turn singing lead vocals. They also are great with audience interaction and connecting with the audience. The only issue with the 5/21 performance was with current season 10 American Idol Top 10 finalist Paul McDonald's performance while the Monkeys too a break. McDonald has little stage presence and does not connect with an audience. He made no eye contact with anyone other than his bandmate. When the Monkeys returned to the stage for a jam session with him, Jackson Rathbone (most likely the reason McDonald got this gig is because he is dating Rathbone's Twilight Saga cast member, Nikki Reed), showed him up with his energy and audience interaction. While Rathbone played the tambourine and got the crowd going at the edge of stage, McDonald half heartedly hit a tambourine while watching Rathbone from halfway upstage.

I have never been to a bad 100 Monkey's show, I just don't think it is possible for them to play bad! 100 Monkey's live music is unforgettable, these hotties know how to put on a show and please the crowd! Although I very much enjoyed the opening bands, I wish I didn't have to stand for 5 hours waiting for the 100 Monkeys to go on. My only complaint is that there are never enough 100 Monkey concerts close to home(anywhere in Cali or surrounding states) I would drive for hours to see a 100 Monkey concert! This latest show at the Roxy was no different, these "monkey's" are talented, each able to play more then one instrument, and each able to sing; Uncle sang for the first time proving that the 100 Monkey's is more then the average band. They played for 2 hours and kept up the energy the whole time! I can't wait for the next show they have, I miss them already!

The talent in these 5 guys is unreal. They each play every instrument, and switch often. The music is eclectic, and original. They are respectful, SUPER NICE guys who truly appreciate their audience and give 110% whether there are 30 in the audience or 300. They truly love what they do, and make the best of EVERY situation, whether small audience, loss of power, broken instrument, whatever. They just go with the flow. The Improv is the BEST part...Jackson is extremely talented to be able to come up with a complete song from a suggestion that fast. It truly feels like they are just jammin' for themselves and having a good time, and we get to be a fly on the wall. After 100's of concerts, this was my absolute favorite. I would travel long distances to see them again, they're that good.

I would not have seen these guys 42 times if they weren't some of the most talented and dedicated men that I have ever come across. I have seen over 200 musical acts live and 100 Monkeys takes the cake as my favorite artist to see live - EVER. They interact with the crowd, tell jokes on stage while tuning up, they switch instruments and do an improv at every single show where they make up a song on the spot with help from the audience. They're good. Take my word for it. And if you ever have the chance to see them live, I strongly recommend that you do... you won't regret it.

5 talented artists that each can play every instrument, and switch constantly. The set list is different every night, so it's never the same show as with big arena bands! The songs range from punk to country, funk to rock, blues, and anything else you can think of. And they do an excellent job on each song, The best part of their show is they take suggestions from the audience every night, and make up an improv on the spot.....now that's talent.

I have been to a few 100 Monkeys shows, and as usual, they rocked. They are an amazing, wonderfully talented and energetic band who never fail to deliver a good time. The Kissing Club, one of their opening bands, is also one of my favorites and I was glad to see them as well. The only real issue I had with this event was that I went to get water from the bar, and was told they had to take the lids off the bottles. Since I had to worry about spilling it anyway, I opted for the free cup. Then when I went to take the water back to my spot, was told I couldn't take the cups down on the floor. I should have been told that when given the cup in the first place. The guy refused to let me take my water, (though I saw other people on the floor with cups of water...) I find it very annoying that they take the lids off the bottles and keep them. You would think that the house would prefer people to keep their lids so there is less chance of spillage, thereby preventing possible falls from liquid in the floor.

100 Monkeys at the Pageant was literally the best $62.50 I have EVER spent! The staff were incredibly nice and the show was just fantastic! When I heard that 100 Monkeys was coming to Houston I really wanted to get tickets. I flirted with the idea of VIP tickets for quite a while before I just went ahead and got them. BEST DECISION EVER! The VIP tickets are the way to go. I can't believe what all we got for the price. I would have paid double to have that VIP experience. The guy's are so in touch with their fans and have such a great stage presence. Freaking amazing! They had 3 opening acts that were great. Two of the opening acts were out chatting with fans after the concert was over - which was really cool. I bought an autographed cd from one of the guy's from Bleeding Horse Express. I would have really liked to meet the guy from Electric Attitude, but they weren't out meeting people.

It was an absolutely AMAZING show!!! This is the 3rd time I've seen them and will definitely be going back for more when they're in town next. Their music comes alive when they do on stage. They're very interactive w/ the crowd and love playing things up. Every concert they do things thing called "Make Up a Song". The crowd shouts out an idea for a song and Jackson Rathbone makes up the lyrics while the music is playing. The great part about that is that the lyrics aren't cheezy... they're actually quite good. If you have never seen them or even heard of them... I highly recommend them! :)

This was the best night of my life. Met some amazing people and made some new friends. The music was awesome and so much fun! Very catchy! Jackson is definitely a lot hotter in person. Lol. They make an effort to thank the fans after the show and make sure you thank each other which is really nice and cute. There is a sense of camaraderie that was present throughout the whole show, from the fans and the band. They definitely made you feel welcome. The show is supposed to be all ages but there is some cursing in some of their songs. Love the audience participation and that they create an improv song from audience suggestions. They do accept gifts on stage it's just getting them there that's the problem. Just don't go to get totally drunk please or you won't really appreciate it. It did run a little long because there were 3 openers but overall it was worth it and I can't wait to see them again! Favorite song is The Sound.

I was not disappointed when I left the show! My friends and I have been fans of this band before we realized that Jackson Rathbone from Twilight was in the band. They interact with the crowd on and off the stage, even signing autographs after the show and having conversations with fans before the show, while they were hanging outside the venue having cigarettes or just enjoying the nice weather. And with general admission we got to pick where we were and didn't have to use the zoom function on our cameras unless we were taking video and the band was on the opposite side of the stage.

100 Monkeys put on an amazing show on Saturday night. Not only did they have a great line up, but they had special guest Paul Mcdonald from american idol, who they also did a song with that came together great! They also had Nikki Reed and Ashley Greene at the show which makes it so much more exciting for anyone who love the twilight films.. all in all, 100 monkeys always put on a exciting show from the dancing to the instrument switch up. I flew down from seattle just to see this show. I have seen 100 Monkeys 6 times in the last year & they never cease to amaze. No two shows have been the same, yet they have each been just as awe inspiring as the others. Not only do I recommend them to my friends, but I also sing their praises to perfect strangers. The energy in their performances is intoxicating. Each member of the band takes turns singing and playing each instrument. The eclectic mix of songs keeps everyone moving and completely captivated. See this band now while the venues are still somewhat intimate or you'll regret it!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to my first Monkeys concert. I knew that a lot of girls were going to be there for Jackson, which happened, but I had so much fun listening to the GROUP of guys that played a fantastic show. It was so cool how they would switch instruments for nearly every song. I love how relaxing and mellow the music is. I recommend everyone go see these guys. I can't believe they haven't hit it big yet, they are super talented!

If you can only afford to see one live show this summer this is your band!!! 100 Monkeys are infectious, carefree and energetic with a presence like no other band. They move around the stage more than Mick Jagger!!! The music is great in the car but FANTASTIC live. How many bands out there create a new song at every show? None that I ve ever heard of\u2026In fact one of my favorite songs is the Improve song from there DC show last year Little Black Book . This band has a song for everyone and good luck finding a genre to put them in. This is why we call them Funk Rock . They ve got a funky groove to their beat with lyrics you can sing along to. Trust me I was just a fan until I went to a live show\u2026now I m a Monkey Junkie!!! I've been to 4 more shows since DC with 3 more planned for the 2011 summer tour promoting there 2nd studio album. How many people have driven 8hrs to see a band then sleep in a tent....I have :-)

sound wasn't great at the venue, you couldn't really hear the vocals & keyboards, etc. and WAY too loud on top of it. also, it sucked that we couldn't be readmitted after we came in and they didn't have any food. would have been nice to know that ahead of time, since we were planning on running out, grabbing a quick bite and then coming back. instead we just had to get what we could from a junk food filled vending machine and otherwise go hungry. Otherwise, I love 100 Monkeys- i drove from MN to see them. I also loved Not A Planet, the local band that opened.

Incredibly underrated and surely worthy of the LG Ones to Watch title, 100 Monkeys brought it to Anaheim and presented an incredible show. House of Blues establishments seem to be just the venue to catch these guys in their multi-faceted glory, ranging from rhythmic blues, funk rock, seamlessly segueing to fun and upbeat jams that get everyone in the house dancing and singing along. Of the 30+ shows I have seen of this little band... they are truly not an act to miss, long-time fan or first-timer! This show in particular was beyond perfection and I hope all first-timers come back for more, just as well as 100 Monkeys down to Anaheim!

I had a blast. My only complaint is that it ended. I wanted them to play all night! They played a lot of upbeat songs that kept the crowd jumping. A few slow ones to calm down. It was great to see a packed house and the crowd almost sang louder than the band! It was awesome!

100 Monkeys NEVER disappoint! What a great band and super talented guys! Even if you don't know their music you will be 100% entertained! Meet & Greet: What a joke - Fan Club NOT EVEN COMMUNICATING WITH ME TO SAY WHERE AND WHEN TO MEET!! Just by chance I ran into the girl orgainizing the Meet & Greet (I'm saying that lightly) and asked what the situation was... she says, "you have 10 minutes to get wrist band, tickets scanned and in the area where you can meet the band." Wow! She did agree that she had seen my emails but was to busy to reply. I think they need to replace her.

I went to see 100 Monkeys because of Jackson Rathbone's Twilight Saga connection. I will go again because this amazing band put on a wonderful display of musical prowess, energy and sense of fun. Doesn't hurt that they're all easy on the eyes too....

I have never heard any of their music but because I am a huge fan of Jackson Rathbone I came out to see his band and was pleasantly surprised as to how much they rock and what a great show they put on for us. Check them out!!

This band is so much fun to see live. Super energic, constant switch up on instruments, improv song every night..What more could you ask for? They are a band that really care about their fans, and every show is like one big party. I've seen them twice and can't wait for more shows. Trust me, after one show you will be hooked!
