Kris Allen's concert was superb. While I am a gent in my 60's, I have been following American Idol for all seasons...and Kris Allen was one of my favorites from his first performance. Then, after his selection as American Idol, I was privileged to meet him in person during the Idol Tour--in Memphis. I have followed him since and am pleased with the quality and sincerity of his singing and music. He really has matured since his Idol Days....and I would abosolutely go see him again if the opportunity presents itself.

Kris Allen is fantastic live, super talented, amazing, powerful, angelic voice, incredible confidence and connection with the audience, facinating-tight band of a very talented musicians, he puts on an amazing-super entimate show, no matter how big the venue is, extreemly funny, witty & smart artist, he grabs your attention, and controls your senses & pulls u back to the stage from moment 0 to 100, not for a moment that you can get distracted by anything other then him there, singing along with him in this fantastic musical journey, from the first moment- till the last, when you discover that the show has ended & you are yerning for more. Kris album is incredible, but Kris live is phenominal, there are people who said that his live performance is much much more and he sounds better than the album, how rare is that. Kris ALLEN CONCERT is a mind-blowing experience, if you missed it you are really missing on life. Highly recommended.

Kris Allen put on a great show at the Intersection in Grand Rapids. Every song was good! We enjoyed every minute of it. The venue made it so cool to see him up close and dance upfront close to the band. You don't get to groove along with the band like that at big venues. And I have to mention that Kris and the band are good lookers! :) Chris Torres is drop dead gorgeous.

Excellent show from start to finish. The sound was excellent and the Intersection was a great place to take in a show! Kris Allen was as cute in person as we witnessed on American Idol. The other members of the band weren't too bad either!

Kris Allen was absolutely wonderful. He did a great job with all of his songs, but that is to be expected from our former American Idol winner. I would recommend that everyone who likes good music to come see him. The entire night was such a blast, I had an unforgettable time.

Let me start off by giving The 71's and Sister Hazel their props for getting everyone in attendance all warmed-up for Kris Allen's awesome concert. It was good music all around. From the very get-go, Kris Allen started throwing those little sticks that glow that they sell in concerts into the crowd, giving way to the first tussles of the night. "What's up Galveston! How ya'll doing tonight? Ya'll ready to have a good time?" Those were his first words and then he went off into the first of his performance songs "Can't Stay Away from You." Red Guitar, a remixed acoustic version of Heartless, Man in the Mirror, The Truth, Before We Come Undone, Alright With Me, Live Like We're Dying, and others, including one he brought out just for the 4th of July were all in the setlist. All of them were great! In the end he started throwing things again to a very excited crowd. Everyone left happy, and I was thankful for having been in the front row.

Thought the event was going to be at the big Queen theatre. Ended up being a very intimate Christmas s etting in the cafe upstairs. Kris sounded amazing and was very friendly. He talked with everyone for a few minutes after the show!

I'm not sure why this concert ended up as a very "intimate group," but it was a wonderful concert. Marie Miller was the opening performer--she has a wonderful, soulful voice and captures her audience right off the bat. Kris Allen was very charming and delighted us with our favorite Christmas carols and some of his own tunes. Would have liked to have him share and speak about his experience from American Idol Days in 2009 and what has happened since. Kris has a wonderful storytelling voice as well, but sharing would warm this concert up even more! Overall, YES, don't miss it!!!

This show, I am still thinking about! Kris Allen is mesmerizing on stage! Took my breath away. Matt Giraud with his powerful musicianship is a perfect match to Kris. Both strong songwriters with lyrics that move you and voices that make you swoon. The best that Season 8 of American Idol produced. Live music...their music... do not miss! A Forever Fan!!

It is so much fun to watch the reaction of the crowd from the beginning of Kris Allen's shows to the end. Since the show was located in a casino, there were many people that attended the show for entertainment in a casino. At first, the crowd was quietly listening to the songs as Kris and his outstanding band performed. By the middle of the show, people were singing, following the instructions Kris was asking by singing back, dancing, clapping and whistling after each song. By the end, Kris received standing ovations from the crowd and an encore was requested, where he sang 3 more songs. His shows are so much fun and of course, he has a lot of die-hard fans that have been following him since he was on American Idol. Do yourself a favor and go see Kris Allen perform live!

I'm so glad that Kris Allen finally came to Las Vegas. I bought tickets as soon as I heard about the concert. Let me tell you, he was incredible. The Idol viewers got it right--this guy is the real deal. He sounds even better live than he does on his CD's. He really looked like he was having a great time performing and was very playful with the audience. It was a clean show and a lot of fun. I really like that he writes his own songs and also plays the guitar (very well). His voice is incredible, and it's really him singing--no auto tune. Kris, if you are reading this, keep up the great work. I wish that there were more talented, classy entertainers like you who don't put out crappy music just to make a buck. I will see you everytime you come to town. Simply the best!

I'm not a fan of sit-down concerts, nor $25 minimum orders to get the best seats (on top of higher ticket prices) but it was all worth it to see Kris Allen. He's amazingly talented and the show was really good. He and his band sing an a capella version of Garth Brooks' The River that is mind blowing!! The venue is very odd and basically encourages people to sit and politely clap. But the crowd got into the music by the end, standing and dancing. The two opening acts, Zak Waters and Harley Jay, were really, really good. Better than you'd expect for opening bands. Go see Kris Allen anytime you can. Go to the Canyon Club for shows you don't mind sitting for.

Kris Allen has improved greatly as a singer and performer since idol.. I've always been a huge fan of his voice and style- the sound was amazing live and better than any album could produce. He needs to promote way more because I only luckily found out the day before that he was in town..but then again the smaller concert made for a closer view and more personal event. Wouldn't miss this show for anything. Jillette Johnson? His tour partner is also very good.

I went to the Kris Allen concert and have to say, he was "nice". Wish his band was as good as his voice, his transparent and generous personality. His songs were ok, but again, he is better and I imagine in time, if surrounded by and inspired by real characters, real talent, he is going to develop and grow, well past his American Idol beginnings. The real surprise was the result of showing early and instead of the usual unrecognizable, forgettable, opening artist, we were greeted by a richly talented, fresh and familiar songs of Rachel Taylor, from Boston. She had a great group musicians around her that helped her present her songs without cliche. Jesse Russell on cool bass and vocals. She trades her new EP for email. I know is name because he played on the EP. I can't wait to see her again. I LIKED Her FaceBook page too. I am hoping Boston can launch a new artist. I think she is different enough to standout and talented enough to engage new fans everywhere... Oh style, hmmm not pop, not country, not folk, not rock, not jazz, hmmm I need to keep listening cause I'm not sure, but I like Rachel Taylor, she connected with me and seem to with everyone else who were equally happy to Discover someone new who is really really really good. Way to go MUSIC HALL and Kris Allen,! Thank you for introducing me to Rachel Taylor

Kris Allen, even with his right arm in a cast and sling, and thus unable to play the guitar, was still able to put on a fun and enjoyable show. He seemed genuinely excited to be performing, and I really appreciated that he tried to make it an intimate experience with the audience (e.g., speaking to individuals, bringing up a couple of girls who were celebrating their birthdays, interacting with the audience throughout the night). He mostly sang songs from his second album, but did sing a few from his first (Red Guitar, Live Like We're Dying), as well as a few covers. His band sounded great. I also enjoyed his opening act (Jilette Johnson).

This was our first concert at Moody Gardens, it was moved inside due to weather but was still an amazing show. Kris Allen is awesome in concert and I would highly recommend one of his concerts to anyone. The title of this concert was "Kris Allen with Special Guest Sister Hazel", yet they both sang for 1 hour each. I wish Kris had sung longer than an hour, because he was the main reason I went to the show. Everything ran late for some reason, so I wish they had cut a song from Sister Hazel instead of rushing Kris - thus there was no encore. Also, the venue was not that big and I wish he would have done a meet and greet afterwards. Sister Hazel did it at their merchandise table in between their act and Kris's.

I thought the show was great. Kris Allen's voice is outstanding and what I liked best about the performance is that the songs showcased his voice. Many times at concerts, the music is so loud, it overpowers the singing and the words. But not at this performance. He also was very down to earth and involved the crowd, which I thought was great.

OK, the opening act, The 71's, sucked. They were way too loud and we couldn't understand a word of what they sang. They were not in the same genre of Sister Hazel and Kris Allen at all. On the other hand, Sister Hazel rocked, as usual. Kris Allen was great, better than I anticipated.

I was blown away by the entire show! Though i was not familiar with the opening band, The 71s, i was won over instantly by them. Same goes for Sister Hazel. I bought CDs for both bands. And both bands met with fans in the lobby and signed autographs and took pictures. They were awesome. As for Kris Allen, i have nothing but praise for him. He was an amazing, energetic performer. He interacted with the crowd, sang his heart out, and kept my attention from start to finish. I couldn't look away. The entire crowd was dancing and singing along all night. After the show a few fans waited to see if Kris would sign some things and take some pictures, and Kris didn't disappoint. He got off his bus and hung out with us for a bit, waiting until all who stayed had gotten a picture, despite the fact that he looked exhausted. He's an incredible entertainer, and an all around great guy. He loves his fans, and it shows. One thing is for sure, this will not be the last concert of his that i go to. *Thanks Kris, Sister Hazel, and The 71s for giving me the time of my life. Love you all*

Moody Gardens did a great job of moving the concert inside and pulling it off despite all the rain. Sister Hazel was awesome and Kris Allen sounded great too. Wasn't fond of the 71's. Lead singer was a bit strange. Not sure what happened at the end of the Kris Allen set, all of the sudden, he announced the last song, and was gone. It felt rushed, but all in all, great date night with my Hubby!

Moved inside because of rain? Not awful, but at least make sure your lights work so that the whole stage is lit. Then DON"T let the supporting act play longer than your star! Cutting Kris Allen short because of poor time management? FAIL. See Kris live because he's amazing. The rest? No thanks.

Pure talent & entertainment from the first song to the last! The crowd was engaged during each song, singing along and rockin' to the tunes! The show opened with Texas' GRO, who were really fun, especially when they played their hits "Goodbye LA" and "Come On". Their upbeat songs were great for setting the tone for the night. The Fine Line was almost full with a wide variety of fans: a couple of children, lots of twentysomethings, couples, groups of friends, etc. It was very crowded on the floor, but there was some room to move around upstairs, which was nice. Kris had a great setlist that included his hits from the album, "Live Like We're Dying" and "The Truth", as well as a mashup of "Heartless", which was arguably his greatest hit on American Idol and "Gangsta's Paradise". It was cool to hear the band do an acoustic version of "Maybe" and "Paranoid Android", which both served to show the great versatility of the Kris Allen Band. Of course my favorites were all from Kris Allen's new album: Bring It Back, Red Guitar, Before We Come Undone, All Right With Me, Lifetime, and more. I was really impressed with how tight the band was and the beautiful harmonies they created together. They seemed like they had been playing together for years. The sound was great from where I was sitting, and they were fabulous! I found out afterwards that Kris was sick and that that was why the band didn't come back for an encore. I was disappointed that I didn't get to hear my favorite Kris Allen song, "I Need to Know" (rumor has it that it was on the setlist along with "Come Together" for the encore), but the songs that we did experience were awesome (I think they played for about 1-1/4 hours), so I definitely left feeling thrilled with the concert experience. I never would have known that Kris was sick...he was really a trooper, and I thought his voice sounded amazing! It was really an awesome show.

Rarely have I seen an ARTIST as talented as Kris who delivers current sounds mixed with great lyrics. Jon Bream of the Star Tribue stated "this lightweight hasn't decided who he is a concert artist". Well Jon perhaps has illusions of grandeur that he should be the next Simon Cowell and has forgotton that Kris is no longer on the show. I would expect nothing less from a reviewer who doesn't appreciate any type of music outside of his genre. Get with the times Jon. I hope that America gets over the "idol" status and takes a look at Kris as an artist - This kid's got tallent!

To see a talent like Kris Allen at an intimate venue like the Fine Line in Minneapolis was nothing short of amazing. I smiled through the entire show. Don't listen to the Tribune. Obviously whoever wrote that review is suffering from resentment that Adam didn't win Idol. They are two very different performers. Kris' style you fell in love on Idol...always being true to himself...was consistent with his fantastic performance at the Fine Line. And to watch him from 10 feet away was unforgettable.

Kris Allen was absolutely fantastic last night! He really knows how to put on a show, and he changed his own music up enough to fit his true style. He proved that he will be able to make it with a loyal fan base outside of Idol. He is a wonderful lyricist and guitar player, and we all know he can sing from watching Idol. If you've ever been a fan of his, or liked him on Idol I would recommend buying his self-titled CD and going to a show of his!

Great band - Kris sings with everything he has ... a great overall show and performance. Kris talks to the audience quite a bit - very entertaining in a reserved, sweet way. Very friendly signing autographs and lots of photos with individuals after the performance. For those that did not attend the show at the Intersection in Grand Rapids, what a great show they missed, especially in a small venue - everyone had a great view and was up close. The opening band, Green River Ordinance, was also a pretty good band.

I would recommend for everyone to get out to one of Kris Allen's concerts. He sings from his huge heart!
