We took our friend to Chicago to see CATS to celebrate her retirement from teaching. It was a fun and memorable day. Can't wait for next year when I and another friend retire so we can all go to Chicago to celebrate with another broadway play.

It was a great experience. I watched the movie for the first time in high school and fell in love with it! I was so happy to hear that they were coming to Chicago and jumped at the chance to go see them! It did not disappoint!!!

Loved the grace of the cats, the music, the costumes, the drama of aging and its losses, the spirit of the dancing. The Siamese cat was incredible...graceful beyond belief.

I saw Cats on Tuesday. I was never more taken by a song than when Melissa released a heart felt "Memories." It sent chills down my back and tears to my eyes. This is a must see performance! You will not regret it! I thank the entire cast for giving me something to remember. Well done!!!

Costumes, dancing, and singing were great! Plot moved slowly - not much of a story to follow which made it kind of boring. Found myself counting down the scenes until it was over.

A few parts were great. Some parts were petty slow. So I could only give it an average rating. Loved the dancing though.

I went to this show when I was a little girl with my family. This time around I took my parents. The Cadillac Palace is a great theater to see a show and Cats was well done! Definitely recommend this show.

I saw the show once before when I was young but always waned to see it again...and the company did not disappoint!! I was so excited that I was on the edge of my seat for some of the numbers. I would definitely recommend this show for younger fans because the costumes are very interesting and (with a little explanation) the pace of the show can keep their attention.

The actors had great interaction with the audience in the first several rows of the theatre. The music was wonderful (although there seemed to be no orchestra) and the singing was beautiful. The costumes were very clever and the makeup on the actors was done very well. A very different storyline than you will find with most "Broadway" musicals. Entertaining for both children and adults and especially entertaining for those with cats at home. Well worth the money.

I loved this play when I saw it on Broadway back in the 1980s, and the current touring show is even better--an outstanding production in every regard.

Really enjoyed Cats!! I have always loved the music, but never saw the whole production. We had seats far right front row...very interactive with the front row and other aisle patrons. Very funny!! Seeing it in Chicago made it even better, only second to seeing it on Broadway (I'm sure)!!

While I had never seen Cats before, I had heard several of the songs performed many times. Despite that, I was blown away at the enthusiasm and freshness the cast brought to the many numbers. Casting was excellent, nailing the right person for the role they portrayed. An extremely enjoyable experience........

The unmistakable music, singing, dancing, brillant costumes & make-up make this show a purr-fect winner and not to be missed when it comes to the stage. I have seen this production several times over the years and once again here in Chicago the performance was well done and very entertaining. This show appeals to theater goers of all ages as the audience was well represented by the very young to the very "seasoned". The cast of characters drew you into their stories in song and dance that prompted both laughter and tears from the audience. Truly an enjoyable production - one I hope to re-visit again when next in town.

I remember seeing Cats FIVE times as a kid with my mom. We LOVED it. When we heard it was coming to Chicago we rallied our family for an outing. We were all completely disappointed. The entire show moved incredibly slow and was missing that sparkle we remember. It also seems that none of the actors/actresses were good old fashioned triple threats! Some of them were only good at either singing, dancing or acting - no one hit all 3. Take it from a frequent theater goer - save your money for another show.

This being one of the longest running Broadway plays out there, I decided to give it a try, boy was I disappointed! The real action happens after the second act and even then it's in need of some serious revamping. There are other plays out there with alot more oomph and visual spectacle that can really captivate an audience. All in all it had it's good moments but not worth what I paid for.

The plot was either non-existant or never developed. Kept waiting for something to tie in but it never really did. Not worth it to hear one good song !!!!

This was my 3rd time seeing Cats and my daughter's first time seeing it. The seats were great and the show was awesome. My daughter came out of the show knowing almost all the cat's names and their personalities. My only negative was with the usher staff. I came to look for a seat booster cushion for my daughter and instead got a lecture how I'd be locked out of the play if I got up again (the play had not started yet, nor had anyone stated to stay in seats yet).

During intermission, I overheard someone inquiring, "how could you have seen this multiple times?" His friend retorts, "you have to be on acid!" For me that would have not been enough. I do not understand how this was on Broadway over 18 years.

Cats was absolutely AMAZING!!! I brought a friend who had never been to the theater before and said the show was fantastic!!! Cats is a musical that is unique, simply one of a kind. I have seen several other plays and musicals and nothing can compare, its a must see if you have the opportunity. The story line is sweet; cats is about our decisions in life and second chances, but that's just a glimpse! This is one show that I would go back and see again and again!

Having seen the show before, I was so looking forward to taking the family for the first time. Went to a weekend matinee (which could have contributed to the overall lack of energy from the cast and crowd). Biggest issue: the actors weren't believable as "cats." While other casts take on characteristics and movement that evoke feline qualities -- this rendition seemed like humans dress in costumes stringing one famous song together after another. Too bad. So much potential -- but it just didn't happen that day.

The production was very good for the most part, but a huge drawback was the cutting of at least one scene - an entire scene. Gus the Theatre Cat was not shown. This is one that the 1980s recording had Sir John Gielgud as Gus. To me, it greatly disappointing because I it is one of my favorites. This is quite an error, I believe. One egregious enough to drop 1 or 2 stars. It also begs the question: What else was cut? The singing and dancing were great and worthy of high marks, but only among the best I've seen, not the very best.

Sound system was not great. One voice was extremely annoying and off key. Have seen a number of times and felt that this production was very rushed. Not extremely professional. The audience was extremely rude with lack of manners. Too many people getting up and leaving during the production, singing along with the words and the fight at the end between two sets of patrons was unbelievable.

I have wanted to see "Cats" since the early 1980's when I missed it living in England. I'm afraid I was fairly disappointed mostly with the story line of the production which fell flat even at the end. The dancers were exceptional and the singing great although rather repetitive. It's not that it was a bad production, it just wasn't what I had hoped it would be. I felt "Chicago" was a far superior production overall.

I love the play Cats!! I have the DVD and the soundtrack. I saw the play exactly 10 years ago to the day when I was 6 and it was everything I remembered! The only part I didn't love was Mungo Jerry and Rumpleteaser. I have the British version and to hear American accent was weird. I want Cats to come back again!!

First act was ok, kind of entertaining and cool to see the fluid movements of the dancers. There is NO story line, just a bunch of loose stories without a central story. No idea how this is the longest running broadway show, there are a lot better shows out there.

It was great being able to finally see this musical. I thought it was amazing how "cat like" the players were. Great music of course. I could see how it could be hard to understand because it is all music, no spoken word. That's why I tried to read up on the plot, etc. beforehand so it made sense to me. Musicals like this are not for everyone. But I personally loved it. :-)

I wasn't sure what to expect when I came to see the show. I imagined I'd see great costumes, hear wonderful music & singing, and more. I did see that. I love Andrew Lloyd Weber's music, but was not amused by the fact that there was no story at all. I have a great imagination & tried to create a story in my head, but there really wasn't much to use for this purpose. I didn't see a point, a moral, or anything to take back with me knowing why this play has been going on for so long. Felt like I was watching a random collection of music numbers of people in really amazing costumes. Visually it was mesmerizing, but there was no mental stimulation at all.

I was so exited to see this performance. I have heard so many things about it in the media and could not wait to see it. I had very high expectations for this show, but it left me a bit dissapointed. If i were to rate it from 1 - 10, 10 being the highest.. I would rate this show at a 6 - 7. There were some really good parts here and there, but not enough to make me go back and see it again. I guess you would have to be a cat person to related to the performance. A little bit childish for my taste.

My husband and I have both wanted to see CATS for a long time. We were not disappointed at all. While our seats were off to the side of the main level, they characters venture into the audience, and we felt almost part of the musical. The cast was fantastic, and while we weren't expecting no spoken word at all, we were still able to understand the plot. However, I don't understand why there were so many children there. It's not what I would consider a kid's play. The only critical thing that I could point out is that we had some empty seats near us, that during the intermission, people from the back came up and moved near us and then started talking/eating/playing with their cell phones. The ushers should pay attention to that and not be so concerned about people taking photographs.

I do not think CATS should be billed as a musical. It is a ballet, it is a rock-opera, but it is not a musical. The dancing was superb, and the performers were top-notch. I am usually a fan of Andrew Lloyd Weber, but the songs were forgettable, with the exception of "Memory." If you want to see some great dancing, it is worthwhile. Otherwise, I would pass.

Have always heard so much about "Cats". So I took my 15 year old daughter to see it. When I was growing up I remember the commercials when it was first here in Chicago. I loved the song "Memory". Well that was the highlight of the show. Beautiful song and sang beautifully be the actress playing the glamour cat. Other than that, I felt like I was listening to a bunch a of alley cats screeching out songs. Disappointed in play in general. What a bore. Left before second act finished. Maybe I am just a dog person.

Cats is a play that I've been waiting to see for a long time. I was a bit surprised that there is basically no dialogue. The entire story is told in song. That threw me a bit as it was a little hard to follow. That being said, the show was outstanding. The physical acrobatics are mind boggling and the vocal skills of the players are top notch. When the old cat sang "Memories" the chills ran down my spine and my eyes teared up. WOW !! SEE THIS PLAY !!
