I went only to see Slash & Myles Kennedy. It was awesome!!! They played all the great new songs from Slash's solo album PLUS a few great GnR tunes. Fergie as a special guest was amazing too. She was doing one handed cart wheels & singing at the same time, very impressive. The show did not disappoint.

I honestly had a good time. The staff there was pretty good as well. My only complaint would be there that should've a few signs for Will Call and that's about it. The bands were amazing......! There were a few bands played a little later than scheduled but that's gonna happen every single time. Great Bands, Great Music, Great Event!

Setup at West Stage. First, the Donna's performance was awesome, they played to the crowd well. Next, Pepper performed put a lot into the performance, got the crowd involved. Korn was up next. They rocked the house, Brick in the Wall & Falling Away From Me were awesome!!! Does Korn ever let you down? Never, there is never anything less than awesome from Korn. Ozzy hit the stage and just rocked the house. He is the ultimate entertainer, he performs for the fans and never lets us down. He performed the greats: War Pigs, Mr Crowley, Bark at the Moon, Crazy Train, Iron Man. He played 3 oncores with the 3rd happening after thank everyone and taking a final bow. I don't think anyone will forget that they were at SSMF when Ozzy performed, history in the making. I enjoyed the Cat Club, had some great rock bands on stage, was packed in like sardines. Vains of Jenna rocked the house, a great rock band!

I am so happy and thankful that Metal is still alive in Hollywood. Too bad we have to travel so far to bang our heads but well worth the trip. I hope to see harder and heavier Metal bands at next year's event. We need more long hair music!

This was a great venue. I have been to Oz fest, but this was even better. The only change I would make is to have more popular- legendary bands i.e. Lamb Of God, Aerosmith, Journey, etc. Even bands from the 60's-80's. I loved having the freedom to walk in and out of the clubs to hear other bands play. Better parking arrangements need to be made for the next festival.

Korn had the most energy and was the most entertaining band that i came across. The only problem there was was the few drunk heavy weights that always attempt to ruin everyone's time. Sound was great, but needed more speakers at a distance and also a video screen could have improved the experience.

For the $39 I spent, seeing Korn and Ozzy in a somewhat inimate setting with far less people then in an actual full concert centered around either of these bands is worth the money. The to top it off, you get to have all of the main part of Sunset Blvd totally closed off with all the major Clubs open for you to come in and out as you please is icing on the cake! The only down side was there was only really Miller Light and Peroni as the available beers and they were 7 and 8 dollars each! A little more variety would have been nice, plus the beer gardens closed eraly at just 9pm when the even goes until 1:45am.

Why it ROCKED: 1) The line up... so sick. Korn... OMG. Pepper... killed it. Sir Ozzy... unforgettable. 2) Location Location Location... Sunset Strip added that "Hell Yeah!!" effect. 3) Staff/Security... Helpful and laid back. Definitely a presence, but let us do our thang' 4) The collaboration of the local clubs/bars and the event... so well done. Bravo! I will be back. Fo sho!

This festival was so great! I never imagined seeing a show right in the middle of one of the most famous streets before until now! I also never imagined that I would get to attend a better festival than most that I dream about being able to go to! Ozzy was great of course! Legend. Korn was great! Pepper was great! Fishbone was great! Iglu & Hartly and Endless Hallway rocked the clubs! This is especially a great experience for some one who has never been to any of these legendary music venues! To top it all off, I never imagined that, going to a show with such big performers as these, I would be within yards of every band I watched. There are many big festivals each year but you will never see one as great at the level its at right now.

It's about time West Hollywood showed praise to the Sunset Strip and I thought they did a good job organizing and promoting it.I would like to see some real former Sunset Strip "special guests" like members of Van Halen,G'N'R and even Poison,Motley Crue.Even if they only mc'd the event. But anyway,it was great, all the bands were great and would love to see more of these things more often, great job by the event organizers!!!

The show was great. In the future they should confirm that all of the garages listed will actually be open when the festival starts. 9200 Sunset was not open. More vendors with stuff would be great - like at ozzfest. And mostly, it was not clear that the bands would be over by 10PM. Consequently I missed most of Korn and all the bands before them.

It was an awesome event. It was our first actual concert in LA after our marriage. It was a wonderful concert, different experience with traditional concerts. The atmosphere was so nice, people were so happy and well organized. Come to the bands, As a fan Ozzy was awesome as always and seeing him from a close distance was just GREAT. I never had a chance to see Korn on the stage. They were wonderful and powerful. We were able to see them from very short distance as well. To make it short, this was a great great event. At the beginning it seemed like SSMF would be like many other festivals, good but not great, but SSMF broke that image with some amazing bands in the clubs and on the outdoor stages including Ozzy and Korn, along with some great emerging underground bands at several clubs including most notably the Roxy. From the new bands competing in the clubs to the headliners on the main stage, every musican seemed to have an energy and intensity worthy of the Sunset Strip. Everybody there was having a great time. including Ozzy acting like he was 21 jumping around the stage and drenching the crowd with foam and buckets of water, and Korn's headbanging and mosh pit inducing show.

I really enjoyed all the main acts and was particularly impressed with Fergie. Myles Kennedy was a great singer and handled his vocal duties with a great stage presence. Slash rocked the house as well. Travis put on a great show and the pumpkins were good as always. One complaint, VIP tix weren't worth it, really nothing offered that GA seats couldn't get. Also, too crowded. Should extend out past The Viper Room to include it in the gated area. Food and drinks were expensive, but that's true of anything nowadays. We will definitely again though.

I won't comment on the other bands, I only went for Ozzy!!! Ozzy was great, I wish he would have played longer, but I'm sure closing down the stretch of Sunset Blvd wasn't cheap :^P The food vendors were top notch and there were a lot of interesting booths (merch & charity). The beer gardens seemed secure, so all-in-all a great time was had. I'll definitely attend next year.

This was the first concert that I ever went to that I wanted to go to. That past my parents dragged me along and I was all that interested on their music choices. right no to the reveiw of the SSMF. The lay out was great, the east and west stage were far enough so you didnt hear it yet close enough to walk to with out much hassle. I was a bit disappointed when ozzy played because it was a nightmare trying to get throgh the crown there really should have been a walk way for people trying to get into the key club which was blocked by a human wall. I had a great time and I really hope that it will be back in 2010 because its a great way to discover mostly unknown indie type bands with a few major names

I must say, this event was one of the best I have been too. I have been to all the Ozzfest's the last couple years, and I go to concerts regularly. How they had everything set up with the clubs and the outside stages was perfect. Ozzy had many encores and kept the crowd wanting more. Pepper kept the crowd involved and started a party. Korn, which was the main band I came for, was phenomenal! The only part I did not like, was that his mic was not as loud as the instruments. I was very impressed with it all and really hope next year they keep it the same exact way! Sunset Strip Music Festival was a complete success!

Korn def. had its place among the great bands there at the festival, but it was Ozzy that rocked the house down. He put on an hour long show that was energized from start to finish. I never seen the guy in better shape. He prompted the crowd to get crazy over and over and sprayed us all down with that foam cannon that was such a riot. I was fun at its best and Ozzy knows how to mix it all up in a rock n roll montage from Crazy Train to Mr Crowley that only the Prince of Darkness could pull off. I would recommend and am going back every year now to hopefully see the Ozz Man and others. What a great time. G

My perfect Saturday!! A few friends and I went to the SSMF the last Saturday. It was a rock n roll feast! Got to sample many metal bands that I've been hearing about such as Yeti in the Whiskey to the glam rock artists Semi Precious Weapons on the East stage (for all those haters of this band - this play kickass music and put up an awesome show - that's all that matters to me). But my highlight of the evening of course was Billy Corgan singing - Despite all my rage I'm still just a rat in a cage!!! I totally lost my voice now, but would I recommend this show - hell yeah!!! I totally regret not going last year and next year SSMF, here I come!!!

So I hadn't been to SSMF in 2008 or 2009.... but I'm sure things have improved since the first one (like the lineup). However, the event still has a few potential improvements to be made. I think I would attend again next year especially if they make the following changes: - no kids!!! - alcohol should be allowed in all areas of the event... couldn't hear the music from the beer garden - major schedule changes, either allow for more time between sets or make sure bands/artists can set up in the time allowed. Some artists were super late and it screwed up my plan to see other shows. It's somewhat staggered between the two main stages and was supposed to allow for time to check out both acts, but some of them ended up going on simultaneously. Annoying. Other than that, it was a good time, and look forward to going again next year!

The whole event was well organized and lots of fun! We had a blast rocking out / dancing in the middle of the strip! Already looking forward to next years event!

I have never attended the music fest before and really didn't know what to expect. I LOVED this event. Great performances/lineup. Not to crowded. Can't wait until next year.

This festival was really anti-climatic. Not enough to do to justify spending much time waiting around for certain performers. I got bored and left. I want a refund.

Korn is great...the crowd was totally inraptured!...then the Oz came out!..that man will never lose his gift and we were all mesmerized!...one of the best weekends of my life!..I was very disappointed at first that Chris Cornell backed out,BUT very happy with Ozzie and Korn and the Donnas too!..then afterwards my friend and I went clubbing and had a great time doing that as well!...overall the trip was worth the price of renting a subaru and driving over 2000 miles roundtrip!...hope this is just the beginning!

The show was very well organized, very convenient and easy to navigate outside and inside the venues. Great crowd and fantastic bands all around. I am not usually a festival fan but this one was one of the better organized events!!

The concert was awesome...Korn and Ozzy rocked as always. Parking was a hassle, but the festival was worth it in the end.

I gotta say this was a awesome event on many levels! By far my favorite of the festival was KORN and KottenMouth Kings ! I loved how all the buisness's were open and was able to get beer at descent price's and just the whole street atmosphere. I will for sure be back next year !!

I was really disappointed that Chris Cornell's appearence got cancelled, he was the main reason why I bought the tickets in the first place.. Besides that I really enjoyed the other performances - except Swchayze, did not like him at all. And who would have thought that Ozzy still had all that energy in him? Either his tv show is all a lie or he did a couple lines before going on stage. Or maybe both?!

I was just going for KoRn, which was the one of the best shows I've seen. but ozzy was way better then I thought. He was very old but still getting the crowd pumped! and in the middle of the street. How would have thought.
