I've seen Deap Vally three times, two of them being at Bowery Ballroom. They seem to really like the venue and sound amazing there. They opened for Free Energy so it was a quick set of 7 or so songs, but the ladies did not let up on the energy at all. They played their hits and songs off their new album. If you get a chance to see Deap Vally, definitely go! They are the White Stripes with a drummer who can really play (sorry Meg).

I had originally just gone to this show to see Links for their last show as a band. Free Energy headlined and I am so glad that I caught their set. They have a very chill 70's vibe that just makes you feel good. I was unfamiliar with them but still dances for their entire set. Great live performance.

Going to see Free Energy play is like getting lucky on a Tuesday night (Fortunately, we did actually did see them play on a Tuesday night). Yes, loud, sweaty, goofy unexpectedly lucky. Lucky where on Wednesday you are ridding out the giddy high at work or school, perma-grinning. Thursday, your feet have returned to the ground and you notice a tightness in your calfs, only to smile as this is just a reminder of the massive quantities of pogoing you did two nights prior. Going to see Free Energy play is the rock and roll dance party you always dreamed of. Light swords. Raw moves. Killer band. All real. And all yours. Free Energy is waiting for you. If you let it, this could be one of the greatest nights of your life.

They never fail to put on a great, fun-loving show with a quality rock and roll element! I can't wait for their next Boston visit.

This was the most enjoyable concert I have ever been to...Free Energy took the stage in this small but really well designed venue in front of a small weeknight audience and just brought it! Their non-stop energy was contagious and thoroughly enjoyable! See them if you can!

Leda, the opening act, was somewhat forgettable and could use a tune up but both Deap Valley and Free Energy kicked it. Audience was in need of a pump up but the music was perfect and both were exciting to watch and post show all bands were very willing to talk to fans and were super neat.

Free Energy encouraged me to leave early with their pathetic attempt at being a jam band. If you have not seen Foxy Shazam; you should see them live! They put on a great show!

Free energy put on an amazing show. They have soooo much energy on stage. not only is their recorded music fantastic but they're even better live. they involved the crowd and let us sing in the microphone. They even pulled us up on stage to dance with them! it was a dance party! i got to meet them after the show and they are some of the coolest people i've ever met. i'd definately recommend this to anyone who wants to have a great time a concert and jam out to some good dance music. BTW- i am no longer a foxy shazam fan because they canceled this show to go play in cinncinnatti. really cool guys. I am now a fan of Hollerado and The Globes. They were amazing. great performance- especially hollerado.

I have seen foxy twice now, and this show was different in some disappointing ways and different in some nice ways. Eric has some new stage tricks, and he is still doing the old fun ones. Sky's routine is almost exactly the same as last time. Don't get me wrong, I had an amazing time and screamed my lungs out singing to every song (I was front and center at the mic with Eric). But while I'm not a "OMG BACK TO FLAMINGO TRIGGER" type, they played mostly the cuter songs even after avoiding flamingo trigger songs (the last time I saw them they played No Dont Shoot). They told us that they weren't going to freak out like they normally do and instead did Evil Thoughts acapella. Great performance, but I really was hoping for a bit more uniqueness from the last show I saw, and some of the stuff seemed scripted now that I've seen them twice. As a side note, Hollerado (opening band) was GREAT! I stayed for a little bit of free energy, they sounded good but just not stuff I go to a concert for!
