The entire evening was wonderful. The symphony played well--and the guest vocalists were amazing. Though all 4 were quite good, the one young man stood out. Caleb Stelle-- what a voice. When he sang Hey Jude, the audience actually let out a collective "Aw" and as our companions said, "His rendition of "Let it Be" was actually one of the best performances he had heard recently." What a great evening--looking forward to the next event

This concert did not need singers. I wanted to hear the symphony, not a group of immature singers from the Hershey Park Amphitheater. The young woman who sang 'She's Leaving Home' sang her songs well. However, I think if there were going to be singers, why not have them as the accompaniment to the symphony and not the other way around. 'Live and Let Die' would have been a phenomenal piece to do without singers. I still love your symphony and the wonderful music you provide. I am looking forward to the Verdi concert in April.

If you want an unforgettable evening, seeing "3 Phantoms" is the way to go. Selections from Broadway's Tony award winning musicals were presented by three tenors who were the leads in musicals like "Phantom of the Opera", Les Miserables", "Kiss Me Kate", Sunset Blvd." and many more. The Hershey Symphony Orchestra presented musical overrtures from "Phantom..." and "Les Miserables" while providing back-up for the tenors. Craig Schulman continues to steal the show with the vocal quality of an angel which brings tears to my eyes every time he performs "Take Me Home". His vocal range is unbelievable which makes "3 Phantoms" a must see. When speaking with him after the show, Mr. Schulman stated that there is a sequel to this concert. I only hope that I have the oppurtunity to see it as well.

We are a big fan of the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and when we heard the Three Phantoms were coming to Hershey, we could not miss it. They did not disappoint! It was truly an amazing show. Ron Bohmer, Cris Groenendall and Craig Schulman were great. I would see the show again and recommend it to anyone interested in Broadway tunes.

The three singers gave good solid showtime performances as you would expect from professionals with their experience. The orchestra has exceptional quality for its small size and given the fact that all the musicians are volunteers. The amount of music they prepared with once a week practices attests to the quality of the musicians. I thought the volume from the singers' microphones was a little too high because the sound was somewhat distorted at the crescendos. All in all--a thoroughly enjoyable evening of good music in a great setting. The organ piece before the concert was a nice touch too.

A very enjoyable evening that brought the entire audience to their feet at the end. Highly recommended to all who enjoy show music. The performers are among the best I have ever seen. The performers were excellent and were all very friendly at the post-show meet and greet in the lobby.

As a birthday gift I took my sister to this event because she has always enjoyed attending Broadway shows. Phantom of the Opera is one of her favorites. It was her first time to Hershey Theater along with her husband and mine. Everyone had a wonderful time. We were all truly captivated not only by the magnificant vocals of the The Phantoms but of the talent of the Hershey Symphony. The Maestra was awesome. Bravo - well done!!!!!! Thank you for making this special day for us memorable.....

The concept was great, the music selection was great however the drummer was so LOUD, and over performing that it seriously detracted from the rest of the band and over shadowed the singers who I believe were good. Same show with more reserved drummer would be AMAZING.

The show was great and was thoroughly enjoyed by my 87 year mother. You could see the smiles and tears on many "greatest" generation folks. I would recommend having another show...I'm sure it would sell out again. Respectfully waiting a few minutes for the older crowd to get their seats was a classy move.

We came out of the theater astounded and the value of the event with the Hershey Symphony Orchestra. For $40, we watched a very talented orchestra perform for 2+ hours. Our main verdict was: You could spend more money to see a "better" orchestra, but you would have to spend a lot more money, and it would only be marginally better. There were a couple of moments where they weren't "perfect", but really....for $22/ticket, they were fantastic.

This was my first time at the Hershey Symphony. I was very impressed. Maestra Sandra Dackow explained each Concerto and Symphony before it was performed. If you have not been to symphony before you will be able to understand. Some of the musicians have been performing with the symphony for 20+ years. All volunteers. It was an enjoyable event.

We really enjoyed the Oct. 12, 2012 concert. "Volunteer" or "amateur" severely diminishes the quality of the performance of this orchestra. The music was professional quality all the way! We especially enjoyed Dr. Dackow's enthusiastic description of the composer and his music. She laid the framework for a night of total enjoyment!

The Hershey Symphony and the big band group were the perfect, balanced and enthusiastic partner to Steve Lippia, Las Vegas performer and Jersey native who owned Sinatra's songbook but put his personal touch on standards and lesser known ballads, as well. A terrific voice. Mom, who saw Sinatra and other giants perform live several times, was thrilled. Steve Lippia gave credit to the legendary arrangers who brought those songs to life. Dr. Sandra Dackow's spirited conducting was a joy. Only quibble was that the mikes for the drum set and horns were a little much, at least for the front 15 rows. All in all, though, it was a great night of one highlight after another. Well done!

Best of all, best of all! All you had to do was close yours eyes and you WERE there in the presence of OL' BLUES EYES, Frank Sinatra. Thanks Steve!!!!!!!

I absolutely couldn't stop grinning!!! The Hershey Big Band played a surprise number at the beginning of the second half. Their pianist was extraordinarily talented. She and Steve Lippia performed "Send in the Clowns" as a duo. I got to talk to the Big Band conductor, the pianist, and Steve Lippia himself in the lobby after the show! I LOVED IT!!!

For an all volunteer orchestra, the Hershey Symphony is both amazing and delightful. Maestra Sandra Dackow is an incredible conductor. Combine them with 3 highly rated Broadway and off Broadway talents like Cris Groenendaal, Kevin Gray, and Craig Schulman, each of whom played The Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, and you have a performance never to be forgotten! This is the second year that the Hershey Symphony has brought this group to Pennsylvania, and we will definitely buy ticketes every time there is an opportunity.

A Celebration of Love was a most enjoyable evening. The program included a good variety of music presented masterfully by the Hershey Symphony. Mr. Longacre's singing was excellent and the inclusion of the Hershey Symphony Strings for one song was very special. Indeed, hearing these young people play causes one to feel good about the future of great music in our area.

I felt that the orchestra was more than excellent. But the music selection was not so much holiday. At least half was classical music, and another quarter obcure holiday tunes, and a quarter recognizable holiday music. Maybe the idea was to show the orchestras classical music abilities, but I think that misses the mark for much of the audience, and for repeat paying customers . There was a creative medley, a great teen solo on the piano (but not christmas music) and 100 guest students playung with the orchestra what was a great way to introduce them to an audience, The venue was beautiful and almost worth the price of admission in itself, with its restored art deco flavor. But I think a few areas of customer service need attention. It snowed that night, and the sidewalks and street had not been salted until after the concert. A block plus long line in the cold waiting to get in was not fun. Especially since most already had their tickets and did not need to be in the same line as tose few who were purchasing their tickets. Very disorganized. There wAS NO ONE HANDING OUT PROGRAMS IN THE ENTRANCE LINE WHERE i WAS, SO THOSE IN THAT LINE HAD NO INFORMATION OR SONG WORDS TO THE SING ALONG. . In addition, there were maybe 20 rows of reserved front seats. Reserved for who? About half remained empty after the concert started.

The Hershey symphony orchestra is very good. The singer's they had on the night of the Beatles show were fair. Their voices were not a good match for the music they were singing. Unfortunately the seating in the theater is very bad. The seats are not staggered and we could only see the heads of the people in front of us. This is the second time we were at this theater and had the same problem both times. Although I enjoyed the symphony, I will not be going back to the Hershey theater.

Our evening at The Hershey Theater was a real treat! The program was A Tribute to Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr. Presented by The Hershey Symphony Orchestra it featured the Hershey Big Band. The music choices were great and sung by Clayton Lee who did a fantastic job as well as the band. It was a wonderful program and I hope they will do more of this type music again. The performer's voice is an excellent match to Billy Joel and Elton John; and he is faithful to their delivery and stylings. He is also an accomplished pianist. Joel and John's original performances were often fully orchestrated, so their music plays well with symphonic accompaniement, strongly abetted by the exceptional arrangements brought to Hershey by the travelling portion of the show. Rather than an orchestra adapting pop music to its style and sound, the performance felt like pop music that just happened to be played on orchestral instruments.
