This was my first time attending the Classic game. Had a wonderful time. The bus ride from the parking lot to the stadium was well organized. Very clean buses and plenty of air conditioning. The stadium parking lot was full of music and food vendors. The food was so good. Music everywhere. I love it!!! Lord willing, I will be back next year.
my wife and I had a wonderful time ..The Fair the vendors the Fans the Bands the Colors and the Game where all first rate and we will make this a Must do event etc year !!
This game was worth every penny I paid for it. There was a sense of dread that was replaced with a sense of exhilaration. When FAMU's band left that message on the field that was the height of entertainment.
This was a great display of character and discipline. This is a class act bar none among sporting events. I've attended about eleven Classics and I've never witnessed a negative display of behavior. I highly recommend this event to younger students from other institutions to see a display of how people can compete and yet respect others. I would like to see better traffic control, but this is what it is, when you have more than a quarter of a milliion people congregated at one event, I guess you can expect this. The food was great also.
Loved the game, my kids had a wonferful time also...the half time show was amazing. And I will definately be attending the Classic next year and many years to come.
Everything was great, I had an unbelievable time The game was great, it was very exciting and kept you on your feet. The half time show was unbelievable!!! I can't wait to go next year.
Although my Bethune Cookman Wildcats lost to their nemesis, famu rattlers. I would advise and recommend ALL to attend any future Florida Classic games between these two great teams.
Really enjoyed the game. Let's keep it in Orlndp y'all. To all those Wildcats fans especially "Blue", I tried to tell you all that God does not like ugly. When the referee called back two of the Rattlers touchdown, I began to pray and guess what, not only did the Rattlers show up and showed, but so did GOD!! Nevertheless, enjoyed every minutes of the game. Especially enjoyed the "Marching 100". Still the GREATEST Band in the WORLD!!!! If life last and God says so, I will see you all next year when those Rattlers strike, and strike, and strike AGAIN!!!
Weather was GREAT!!! Everyone was enjoying each other and vibing with atmosphere. This was really a great game. BUT, not as good as the GREATEST HALFTIME SHOW in college football. The bands were my favorite. I really hope that they keep the Classics located in Orlando, FL. There is not other place I would rather go....Big win for the Rattlers.
The place to be. The game was awesome and I really enjoyed watching FAMU and BC-U get it on. This was my first time coming to see these schools play and I am thinking about joining with everyone else in making it an annual family affair.
I look forward every year to the Florida Classic, this year was no exception. I enjoyed the fesitivities outside the stadium etc., eating, observing the vendors, the fans just having some good ole fashion fun. Then inside the stadium, wow full of excitement. The band (FAMU) strutting their stuff and the game was off the chain. There's nothing like the Florida Classic. If you haven't been you're missing out on a wonderful event.
I really enjoyed the Florida Classic. Everyone was just there to enjoy the game, comeraderie, and have a good time. I really didn't appreciate all of the tobacco and "Know your HIV status" advertisements though. Like really, we're watching a football game. Can we find different sponsors next year?

My family and I sat in the shaded area of the Stadium, so we were able to enjoy ourselves. We stayed for the whole game. We usually leave during the 4th quarter b/c we get so hot and tired from sitting in the sun, but not this year! LOL

I am an alumnus of FAMU. Since i was little i always enjoyed the Florida Classic. But after coming back and revisiting, i was quite annoyed and dismayed. I couldn't believe the amount of foolishness i saw. The thing that most annoyed me was the fact that you couldn't bring your purses/handbags inside of the stadium. The security officers had the nerve to tell me i had to leave my bag in a dumpster and get it after the game? There were 100's of people having to retreat back to there cars and also actually leaving there bags and belongings in the dumpsters provided. My party and i FINALLY were able to get inside to watch the game.. in the MIDDLE OF HALFTIME!! I don't think i'll be going back to the Florida Classic and i'll find other ways the support my school(FAMU)!

First, I had to walk all the way back to my vehicle to put my purse back because you could only bring in clutch size or you could throw away your purse and use a plastic bag they had on hand, once we finally got in I saw several larger purses! Secondly, staff sent me on a wild goose chase around the stadium to find my seats once instructed from the staff and me and my family of four got comfortable we had to me not once but twice!!! Missing the first 20 minutes of the game, the staff was very rude and inconsiderate!!! I was disappointed and this was my first time bringing my boy's to experience an historical event like this.

The Florida Classic game was nice. The time it took me to get it was ridiculous. I had to purchase a locker for $10.00 dollars just to house my belongings while I was in the game.

This was my first Florida Florida Blue Classic. I was impressed with the organization/logistics of the affair. There was plenty of law enforcement who were pleasant. Parking was well organized (I had purchased in advance online). The crowds entering and exiting the stadium were well controlled. In general the crowds on the streets were pleasant. Just an all around good atmosphere considering there were 45,372 attendees at the game and that number does not encompass the tailgators and sight seers!!! The vendors were excellent as well, good products, and fair prices. I will definitely attend in the future.
This game was great BCC/BCU football rocks and knocked it out of the stadium. Maybe next year FAM WHO Band. BCC got you there as well. 6 years in the row.. But next year will be again next year for FAMU! I do recommend this game for all families and fun. We do this out of LOVE FAMU. I Support you when BCC has nothing going on. I know we are at a game but the FOOD prices is kind of steep.
I have been attending this event for over 10 years now. I love to support my HBCU. It always a great and fun event to attend. Its just depends on the weather. This year and last year it rained. But I still enjoyed the half-time and game.
This was my first time going to the Florida Classic. I attended with my daughters who are currently high school band members. We had an awesome time seeing all the school spirit from both FAMU's and BCU's past and present alumni. I am so happy that my girls were exposed to such talent, unity, and fun. I will definitely attend in the future.
really enjoyed the florida blue florida classic would not have changed a thing it rained but the game still went on and the band still played really got my moneys worth
Unforgettable time with all of my peeps! The entire weekend including battle of the bands was awesome. It was well planned. I would love to see more vendors and more souvenirs available for sale.
The game was advertised, but the fellowship and renewing of acquaintances of classmates and friends from over time was really the event. I recommend attending if you're looking for ole' friends from whether Bethune-Cookman (private-supported) or FAMU (state-supported) schools.
Even though it rained on and off, it was a great event. The excitement of seeing the people having fun and meeting alumni's was awesome. I've been attending for the past 17-years and always look forward to the next year. I want to thank the Florida Blue for sponsoring this event another year. HAIL WILDCATS!
I hadn't be to the game in 4 years. The game, the stadium facade improvements, the vendors, all the creativity, the fans, and the Score of the Game was Breath-taking. I had a really great time.
I was quite disappointed when I got to the stadium and was not able to go in. My ticket scanned "Refund". I had to leave the line, go to the box office only to find the ticket said "Refund" again. The young lady said the ticket was transferred to someone else. When I pulled up the ticket on my phone it said "transfer complete to..." It was transferred to me and they still had get permission to print another ticket. Unbelievable! I am a cancer survivor and to be put through such agony was unacceptable! I finally was able to get a reprinted yellow ticket. What a disappointment!
Perfect florida day for family, food, fun and football. We enjoyed all the vendors around the stadium. There was something for everybody. Inside the stadium the fun was kicked up a notch. We enoyed the activities, especially the Army interactive challenge, Florida blue zone, Dave and Busters fun area and Regions bank. There were vendors from the humane society, children ervices, local civix groups and businesses. There was a DJ and live entertainment. All this before even going to our seats. Everyone was nice and friendly. The stadium is really nice with full seats and some leg space. Dont get thirsty... A bottle of water was $5. Wow. The teams played well but the highlight was the halftime show. Tailgating continued after the game so traffic was congested of course. My advice; take it easy. Dont be in a rush. Enjoy the ambiance and do some people watching while you eat. We had a ball
Awesome seats!!!! Just a couple disappointments......taking lids off soda bottles. With the tight squeeze accidentally kicked my soda so I was thirsty rest of game lol. FAMU band was very disappointing. I expected way more. BC definitely put on a show. Other than those two minor issues, we had a ball!!
The Florida Blue Florida Classic was an all around good time. The only bad thing about this event was the weather. Other than the rain, there is not a bad thing to mention. GO RATTLERS!!!
This is a family tradition that is a highlight for this time of year! Rain or shine we love it! Great seats anywhere in the Citrus Bowl... Your sure to have a blast watching the game....and don't forget about the BANDS!!:)
I THINK THAT IT'S A VERY BEAUTIFUL THING WHEN PEOPLE CAN COME TOGETHER FOR THE GREATER GOOD AND SUPPORT OF OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. WE SUPPORT OUR HBCU'S OF FLORIDA AND BEYOND.
The game was not the best experience watching a score tied zero at halftime during a wet cold day for Florida. The stadium is much improved with the renovations except for the concession area at floor level. The lack of lighting is what may be it look so dreary in that area. I guess that is the 5 percent that is left to be done with construction. Overall it was an okay experience.
I haven't been to the classic in about 10 years but this year I went and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was great even for the small number of people that showed. Charlie Wilson gave a great halftime performance and the Marching Wildcats did even better. I will be sure to come back next year and every year after that.
One year after the untimely death of Mr Robert Champion, the Florida Classic noticeably suffered. One week after Homecoming & the week before Thanksgiving, perhaps, also contributed to the dismal turnout. The halftime performance from R&B legend Charlie Wilson of the GAP Band did much to make up for the beloved FAMU Marching 100. However, those are too big shoes to fill. Yet, I have to give Mr Wilson, first name Charlie, an A+ for effort!
The 2011 Florida Classic had almost perfect weather, especially for those coming south from anywhere above Atlanta. Although FAMU (football or band) was not fully on point, the experience, as usual, was great. The 100 squeaked out a victory over the Marching Wildcats due to a boring period in the middle of the Wildcat's halftime show as well as the 100 uncharacteristically rocking the stands while the Wildcats just looked on during several occasions. Much less will be said about my Rattlers on the gridiron; the Wildcats ruled the day.......enough said :-(
This event was EXCELLENT! I truly want thank BCBS of Florida for sponsoring this event... I also want to thank the other sponsors as well... I believe that the Florida Classic will be here until the end of time. Orange County, please continue to support the Classic... for it has become a legacy for many families!! RIP to the drum major from FAMU.... For you will never be forgotten!! The Florida Classic shall continue!!!!
This was a very good ball game! GO RATTLERS! FAMU's momentum after the first score started to go down and there were too many mistakes but they came back in the second half (thank God!). BCC made some good plays but you can only choose one winner!
The accomodations were off the chain (real good). Everyone appeared to have a lot of fun socializing, cheering for their teams, and enjoying the refreshments during the game. We hoped that there were more chairs and tables under the tent however, the fans did not mind sharing the use in shifts. The experience was fulfilling and we look forward to the 2011 Fl Classic in the Upright Club.
This game was great. This was my first and will not be my last... my daughter goes to FAMU and I met her in Orlando we had a great time together... We now will be to this game every year.......................... GO RATTLERS!
:BCU: Still the MEAC Champs BCU: Still PLAYOFF Bound BCU: Nationally Ranked BCU: Meac Coach of the Year BCU: Offensive Player of Year BCU: Going to Honda Battle of the Bands! FAMU: Going home to WATCH BCU continue their season.....Rattlers won the Battle, but We definately WON THE WAR!! I am STILL A WILDCAT FAN
I enjoyed the pregame show as well as the actual game. Ticket prices were reasonable and I will be moving my seat closer to the field since the prices were so good
The Florida Classic was an unmitigated sucess again this year. From the Battle of the Bands to halftime to the game....it was fantastic. Famu took it all...they won the battle of the bands with their army green and space chords...they won the halftime battle 'shut up BCU'...and of course they won the game!!! Cannot wait until next year..

The event was great. We tailgate before the game with family and friends, walked the streets and looked at all the vendors. Then went inside the game and just enjoyed watching the game and bands battle. Of course BCU came out on top.

Great game. Great seats. Florida A&M - Bethune Cookman game was an epic come from behind win for BCU. Stadium security was quasi organized, with screeners not consistently enforcing bag policy. Even the supervisors were not completely clear on what size bag was permitted in. This confusion slowed down entry to the stadium and reflected a substandard effort by the security hired for this event. Coupled with the the usher who asked to see my ticket, and then had no idea where my seat was, would lead me to ask why is security more organized at the Camping World Bowl game, than at the Florida Classic?

Great event centered around the two biggest HBCUs in Florida. You don't have to be an alumni of one of these schools to enjoy the festivities.
I enjoy attending the game every year with my family. I want my sons to see what they have to look forward to when they are old enough to attend college.
This was my first year going to the classic. Had a wonderful time the game, battle of the bands, the block parties, the food, drinks, etc. As a whole we had a blast in Orlando. Plan to do it again next year !!!
The Florida Classic is a cultural event that should be a family tradition! I attended this year with my mother, sister and nieces. From all the Vendors, "small business", selling food, retail items, music etc etc. The comradely between the two colleges, is good old fashion competition in good fun. The Bands are amazing, and help to make the whole event a party. You'll have from the 6yr old to the 60yr old dancing in the stands. I plan to book this on the calendar for next year for sure!
The game was interesting...due to rainy weather, I didn't enjoy the game. The stadium was being renovated and due to the rain settling, my children were forced to put their feet up on the wall in fron of them, otherwise, they would've had water inside their shoes.
I have been attending this event for the last past ten years. I enjoy watching two of my favorite HBCU bands get down. Go FAMU! Go BCU! See you next year.
This was my first college football game and I must say it was quite an experience. The entry workers were not very professional and the stadium parking was muddy and definitely not what I expected. I would have been able to overlook all of the poor organization but taking people's umbrellas at the door and not telling people in advance that rain parkas were not being sold on the inside was just ridiculous. I paid for seats I did not even use due to the weather. I WILL NEVER attend another Florida Classic due to this!
Great finish to the football game. The stadium has been transformed. It no longer has a cramped feel to it. There's plenty space to walk around, seats were adequate and there are several restrooms with enough toilets, so no waiting in line!
This event proves to be a great one every year! It is always very exciting to see these two teams compete! The halftime show is actually the reason why I go. And this year it was excellent!!! The stadium was near completion and I believe next years Florida classic will be a five star event with the completion of the stadium. So far, the seating, bathrooms and concessions are much better. This year was the first time I've ever bought anything from a concession stand inside the stadium. That was because it was easily assessable and it seem more welcoming.
What can I say, another wonderful time despite the rain the bands brought their A game as well as the football players. The stadium looks great inside and out loved the new seats also. If you've never been to The Florida Classic you should definitely consider it for 2015. It is worth the money and supporting the HBCU's.
