I've been to 5-6 of Brian' last shows in this area and he is a new man since his back surgery he recently had. In past shows, he would have to take 3-4 walks off stage to rest, sometimes needing loving assistance from band members. But now, he sat at that piano, his eyes were full of satisfaction and content and he didn't need to take a break or miss parts of some song. He was like he was in the old day of his career! He is a must see now!

Brian Wilson & fellow Beach Boy Al Jardine, along w a huge, great backup band recreated a lot of hits & deep album classics. Their sound is great, and even though Brian still isn't super comfortable in front of a crowd, his songs & band are too good too miss. Closing w the poignant "Love and Mercy" is the perfect choice considering the recent tragedy in Vegas.

The Rosemont, IL venue is smallish but has good sound on the main floor. The 11 piece band was well thought out and gave a tight performance of the material. Featured were a female keyboard (former tour with Heart), Chicago bassist Iggy Azalia (sp), original guitarist Al Jardine, and vocal standout Matt Jardine (Al s son) who confidently handles Brian s high harmonies. Brian seemed in good spirits and although much of his vocal range is gone, enjoyed singing along with the audience to a vast array of their catalog. Set one contained the cream of their singles, while set two was the Pet Sounds album from stem to stern. Band intros were followed by a rocking encore, closing with Rock and Roll Music . Con: they had a special guest whose name escapes me. He was from South Africa, moved to London, toured with The Rolling Stones, and really didn t fit with this band. His vocals didn t blend (his lead vocal on Sail On Sailor were hardly recognizable), his guitar solos were simply banging on the strings with no disernable melody or content, and even his tambourine playing was sporadic and distracting. But he couldn t kill a wonderful evening. It s no wonder The Beach Boys have endured for over 50 years. The music is the story of evolution and the change is in us.

I saw him with the Beach Boys in the 80's. I wasn't sure what to expect since this was his own show. I knew it would be musically perfect. But, WOW what a great show. He is entertaining and musically gifted. I believe he expects to give the audience a perfect sound, like you hear on a cd.

The concert was terrific! Brian continues to produce great sounds & songs. The band he has assembled is very talented and definitely has acquired the Beach boy sound. He gets the place rocking...that's what makes it so much fun. He talks between songs and he's having a great time, which definitely rubs off on the audience.

Brian gave a great show. He performed all the great Beach Boy hits and a few lesser known album cut. I loved the performance of the Lucky Old Sun material. Midnight's Another Day/Going Home/Southern California was the highlight of the evening for me. Brian rocked out during the encore, and he had a poignant delivery of Love and Mercy to finish the evening.

BRIAN WILSON PROCLAIMED, "JUST SIT BACK AND RELAX AND LET US TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS", AND THAT'S PRECISELY WHAT HE AND HIS EXTRAORDINARY BAND AND VOCAL ENSEMBLE DID...THEY PUT ON A SPECTACULAR HIT PARADE OF BOTH BEACH BOYS FAVORITES, AS WELL AS, BRIAN WILSON SOLO SELECTIONS, FEATURING BEAUTIFUL HARMONIES AND SOUNDS, MUCH LIKE A RE-MASTERED BEACH BOYS CD...IT WAS ONE MEMORABLE NIGHT...MANY THANKS TO THE KESWICK THEATER AND BRIAN WILSON, AS A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ONE AND ALL!

I saw Brian and his band on 10/27 at BPAC and they sounded very good. Played around 30 songs from the 60's all the way up to present day. The band was tight but the energy level could have been better. It might have been due to the poor crowd participation and/or the lightly attended event. I would guess that only half the center was filled. Brian is always a bit stiff compared to the rest of his band but they make up for it. Wish he played Morning Beat.

Brian Wilson has two types of music-his fun side and his cerebral side, corresponding mostly to which of his era you are listening to.. Surf Music or Surf's Up. If you wanted the deeper side you were in for a disappointment. This show was all about the fun side. Surf music and rock & roll. The only songs from Pet Sounds was God Only Knows and Good Vibrations. The only song from his masterpiece Smile was Heroes & Villains. I don't know if this show was tailored to the crowd on purpose but I believe it had to be. First it was a surprise that the man who can sell out Carnegie Hall or the PNC Arts Center would play in a small community venue like Bergen PAC in Englewood, a place where bands way past their expiration date usually play, and there were empty seats. The crowd was older than usual. That said, I've seen Brian Wilson many times since his return and as always his band, the former Wondermints & Jeffrey Foskett were top notch. This is a band that realizes they are playing with Mozart and they always seem up to the task. Overall it wasn't the best Brian Wilson show I've ever seen, he looked particularly out of it, stumbling and confused at moments more than usual. But a mediocre Brian Wilson show is still better than mostly anybody else. A Brian Wilson show is always a mix of sadness and joy. This one was a bit sadder than usual but it still sent chills up my spine.

Amazing! The older the Brian Wilson Band gets, the better they get. You could just close your eyes and think you were listening to the original recordings because the band is that tight. Back when I was in college, I once said that "growing up without the Beach Boys wouldn't have been half as much fun". Now I find myself saying that "growing OLD without The Brian Wilson Band wouldn't be half as much fun". It was also great seeing Dennis, Steve, Chris, Pete, and Craig after the show !! See you next year Brian !!

Last night's show was easily one of the best I've ever seen and nothing short of brilliant! The genius that is the music of Brian Wilson was in full display and lovingly recreated & performed by his stellar band. When I say recreated, I'm talking about their ability to perform the original recordings of classics by Brian & The Beach Boys, note for note, something The Beach Boys could never do! Running the gamut from "Surfer Girl" to "Help Me Rhonda" to "California Girls" to "Wouldn't It Be Nice" & "God Only Knows" to Good Vibrations" & "Heroes & Villains" to "Sail On Sailor" as well as Brian's solo records, the output (some 35 songs) was simply astounding! If you're a fan of Brian Wilson's music you HAVE to see him & his band perform the next time they come to your area. You will be amazed!

I brought my two little nieces (10 and 12) to see Brian and they had such a good time hearing all the songs I had familiarized them with from the Beach Boys catalogue. They were dancing by the stage as the band performed "Surfin' USA" and other hits from the golden age of the '60s. I wish I could thank Brian personally for what he has given us and how much he has given of himself over the years. Since my nieces are so young I was hoping they'd hear the songs they were familiar with and Brian did NOT disappoint. He even seemed more animated and happy than I've noticed in the past - this was my third Brian Wilson concert. The band is top-rate, performing the music with pinpoint accuracy to recreate the sound of the original productions. What a great concert and choice of songs - I hope I can bring my two nieces again soon!

I was expecting to only see Brian Wilson ... but original member Al Jardine was a bonus! Al Jardine's son (Matt) was phenomenal with the high notes -- immediately sounded like I was listening to my collection of 45 rpm Beach Boys Music. Brian Wilson was incredible with his music and song lyric writing abilities. There will be only ONE Brian Wilson, I had the honor to Meet & Greet Brian, Al, and Blondie.

From the moment Brian Wilson came out and laid his fingers on the black and white keys of his piano, he was immediately captivating. He helped re-create the sound which was famous in the 60's and still lives on today. Pet Sounds would have been epic to hear back then, but was just as wonderful during the event.

I saw the Beach Boys in concert back in the mid-90s when I was in high school, but Brian Wilson wasn't with the band, so this was my first ever time seeing Brian solo! It was absolutely amazing! Brian's voice was fantastic; he, fellow Beach Boy Al Jardine, and Brian's band, the Wondermints, treated us to a total of 31 songs, 6 of which were the encore! This was definitely one concert I will NEVER forget! The venue was PACKED, and everyone was singing and dancing in their seats enjoying every moment of the show!

Brian, Al, and the Band put on an excellent show. Sound quality was outstanding. No, Brian (and somewhat Al) can't reach the high notes anymore but who cares? They are in their 70s and gave it their best shot. It was straight to the point great music and fun listening to them. Very worth going to see them and I would again in a heartbeat. The crowd seemed to really enjoy it especially the encore which was awesome. Love and Mercy closed the show and a fantastic night. Great job Brian, Al, and the band!

For all of the obstacles Brian Wilson has had to deal with throughout his life, I feel like the music we experienced last Wednesday night was pretty miraculous. While a concert of Wilson by himself on the stage with his piano playing and singing would not have been too impressive in this venue, the collaboration of all those on stage provided a fabulously entertaining show. The musicians Brian has surrounded himself with seem to be superior. All are super talented multiple instruments. Besides the typical drummer, there was a percussionist with a dozen or more items within his reach. He played multiple items in one number, as well as, playing one rhythm with one hand and a different rhythm with the other hand! Amazing. Another scene stealer was the young (relative term) on the keyboards and marimba. He was extremely animated and appeared to be having as good a time as the audience. It was touching to see how protective the members of the troupe seemed to be of Brian Wilson. He walked on and off stage totally by himself but a stagehand was inside the curtain with a flashlight and a helping hand.

My very first concert was The Beach Boys at Cincinnati Gardens in 1967, and I have loved their music since 1964. This was the first time I have ever seen Brian as a solo act, though with Al Jardine, and yes they played virtually all of the Beach Boys' hits. I honestly expected more from his WONDERFUL new album, Pier Pressure. And it is true that his voice is not what it once was; Al's son did most of the falsetto-heavy-lifting. All that being said, this was a very fine VERY important concert, from one of the true originals of American Rock-'n-Roll, and it was sadly under attended. The back-sides of the orchestra were unsold, and a huge portion of the balcony was empty. Given how well the Beach Boys 50th Anniversary show was attended at Riverbend three years ago, I don't get it - many of y'all missed some GREAT music, with a spectacular band of musicians, and some singalong tunes that made my heart soar...like a kid catching a wave, sittin' on top of the world.

Saw Brian and Al at the Taft Theater in Cincinnati. First time there. Great venue. Show was thoroughly entertaining. Yes, Brian can't hit the high notes, and did seem to lapse off once or twice (at different points a band member seemed to put his band back on the keys to get him back on track later in the show, he may have started in late or sang the wrong line, and Al a time or two looked at him like "hang in there"#, but I didn't care. He was enjoying himself and sound great all things considered. For their age, the two of them were a joy to watch and listen to. The band sounded awesome and, with the exception of one song I wasn't familiar with #but it was still great#, the show was one hit after a another. I had read a couple books and reviews about Brian and saw Love and Mercy. My wife hadn't and wasn't sure what to expect, but we both loved the show. The sound was incredible and the encore was pure rock and roll except for her perfect ending song...Love and Mercy. The show will etched into our minds for years. Some say he shouldn't be performing any more or complain about his singing. That is garbage. I didn't care whether he even played or sang. It is about his music and seeing a man who has been tormented in so many ways to even be able to compose and produce the beautiful songs he has written after all he has been through. He and the band seemed to be enjoying themselves and, at his age, I am hoping I am able to do half of what he is still doing. Don't miss the chance to see a legend....go see this musical genius and his band. Very worth it!

As many know, Brian really wasn't big on performing. He is most at home writing, composing, arranging, and producing great songs. Even when with the Beach Boys, he recorded the tracks using the best musicians while the band was touring and then arranged and recorded their multi-layer vocals when they returned to town. This made it very difficult to recreate the studio experience in concert...until now. While Brian's voice has aged, and the only other original Beach Boy at this concert was Al Jardine, the vocal and instrumental talent of Brian's band is phenomenal. They all sing the complex harmonies and play multiple instruments. It's almost like seeing a live version of the Wrecking Crew. Al's son Matt was at this concert, and he recreates Brian's original high soprano vocals brilliantly. I have also seen the other touring Beach Boys band (Mike Love, et. al.). The Brian Wilson Band creates a much fuller and more authentic musical experience. Brian seemed to be relaxed and having a good time. The setlist contained MANY of the old standards along with a few more obscure songs that seemed to have special meaning to Brian. He dedicated one of the songs on his new album (One Kind of Love) to his wife Melinda. He also did some Pet Sounds and Smile songs. Al did a great job as well, particularly with another song from the new album, The Right Time. Brian's loving spirit filled the hall. There were a lot of smiles in the house. The crowd really got into it, standing through all but the last song (Love and Mercy) of the six song encore. Brian started the lead vocals of many of the songs and sang until the song went beyond his current range. Then, one of the other musicians would seamlessly pick up the vocals. All the songs sounded great! Brian's new album is called No Pier Pressure. You really get the feeling that he is finally at peace and able to do what HE wants. And when he gets to do that, we are all in for a real treat.

I purchased the meet/greet - it wasn't cheap but I figured it was once in a lifetime opportunity. The sound check was really cool. Brain seemed a bit out of it but the band was so tight. It is stocked full of musical geniuses - I've never seen a band with so many members that can play numerous instruments. Al Jardin's son did most of the falsetto and he was great (He sand "Don't Worry Baby"). I was hoping I would have a chance to chat with Brian during the meet/greet but that didn't happen. It was fairly quick, a photo and then he and Al signed 2 items (the will not allow more). Al was very friendly. The concert was so good, better than I was expecting. Brian seemed a bit out of it sometimes but considering all he has been through, it was understandable. The band genuinely seemed honored to play the songs. The set list was fantastic and I found myself getting into songs I would normally switch off if I heard them on the radio (one's you constantly hear). I kept thinking "how can one person think of this many beautiful melodies and then be able to arrange them so perfectly?" It blows my mind. You should definitely go if you have a chance.

I was concerned that most of the folks who were in their 60s and 70s would need defibulators or oxygen to safely get through the concert. But to my amazement, the concert was so good and the band was so tight, that the seniors were jumping around and really enjoying themselves and no one needed medical attention! Seriuosly, Brian Wilson doe not need Mike Love & Co. anymore. Al Jardine, Blondie, Nat Jardine, and the band are even better than the original ensemble! Brian did a good job given his disposition, but the band did him well and were really energetic. I loved that concert!

Rodriguez lived up to his legendary status. His classic song "Cold Fact" was a major moment. You could see the joy on his face as the crowd listened rapturously to his music and lyrics. Brian Wilson with Al Jardine, Blondie Chaplin and Brian's great band gave note for note recreations of Brian's classic Beach Boys' tunes as well as several new songs from his "Pier Pressure" album. Al and Blondie featured on several songs (Al on "Then I Kissed Her", "Help Me Rhonda", "Cottonfields", and "Wake the World" among others. i've seen brian and the beach boys many times, beginning in 1963 during their first backroads american tour when brian was still on the road. although the early surf and car stuff is classic, it doesn't represent the genius of brian wilson. what is wonderful about seeing brian, aging that he is.... is that he can attract stellar musicians to back up whatever he lacks in stage abilities. so we are continually treated to true brian wilson music performed with quality. having al jardine present further legitimizes brian's 50 years plus of composing, recording and performing some of the greatest music ever created in these, or any times. sadly, brian is getting to the point where he won't be able to grace the live stage much longer. so to witness his genius on a beautiful paso robles, california night in a wonderfully intimate setting like vina robles is epic.

What a great show. Excluding last years 50th anniversary tour, it's been years since the Beach Boys have toured in any meaningful semblance of the original band. There hasn't been a Wilson brother in the band since Carl died in the 90s. Brian Wilson performed a great selection of his Beach Boys songs including Heros and Villains, Good Vibrations, Catch a Wave, and many others with original Beach Boys Al Jardine and David Marks. The band was amazing. The sound was amazing. Brian sang and performed well. It was a once in a lifetime treat to see him perform live. Jeff Beck was equally awesome. He is a virtuoso on the guitar but he puts on a great show with a wide variety of material. I would have enjoyed more from his Jeff Beck Band days in the late sixties. Nevertheless his performance was powerful and beyond energetic. When Wilson and Beck teamed up it was magic.

Ok, let us get started. This was my first time at the Paramount Theatere in Oakland, CA. This is about as-good-as-it-gets! No lie there! We had 8th row, 1/3 to the left. Right in front of Brian Wilson. I will keep it short here. Everything that you have heard about him is true. He is aging, but to actually see him was a landmark in my concert history. His band did carry him through. Trust me, he did try and do his part. Once again, the band did carry him through, and they were awesome! The sound here was pretty much perfect. Ok, one hour of the Beach Boys, oop's, excuse me, Brian Wilson. Letme say this. Just before the first two sets ended, he stood up, raised his arm, with a short wave, and walked off stage. It was almost like a SNL skit. No lie! But, it was something that you appreciate when you get to watch someone like him, with his past history of life. It made you smile. Now, to who I think is one of the top-five guitarist of all-time. Jeff Beck. When he came out with the band, you were kind of set-back a bit. Meaning that this band is in a different class as to what you just watched! That is the truth. Jeff Beck is pretty much beyound polished. He is the real deal. To have watched many DVD'S and youtube performances, this just made it real! I will end here with this thought.................Why does he always have HOT CHICKS in his band! Of course they are hot! But, even better. They are world class players! Let me know your thoughts, Greg

The concert was basically three sets - First, Brian Wilson (Beach Boys) , then Jeff Beck (His Band), then a few selections together. The Wilson, Beach Boys, set was very enjoyable. Though Brian did not appear to be in very good health, he seemed to enjoy the performance at several points. The music was clear and sounded great. Voices, new and old, meshed together perfectly for that trademark sound. During Jeff's set, the volume increased to near ear bleeding levels, much too loud to truly enjoy.

After starting a bit slow (Mr. Wilson), for my particular tastes, I settled in and was glad to hear fine warm up songs from a legend. After intermission, the Guitar God was back, better than ever. Afterward, all members of both bands were introduced, and we all got to see history. I will not forget this show. Besides his own material being outstanding, J.Beck made Beatles, Beach Boys, Danny Boy, and even Little Wing, rock like never before

Jeff Beck was inventive with his new dual guitar/violin line up. A real Mahavishnu sound on a number of instrumentals. The Beach boys back up was fun. Brian Wilson's professional line up knocked out hit after hit with great aplomb. Two pros still able to blow away the competition. Amazing at any age ...

The Beach Boys and Jeff Beck Concert was amazing , from the best seats to the lighting to the music . We were taken back to the beach with the Beach Boys and to the 70's with Jeff Beck ~ Wired ! We drank , danced and enjoyed ourselves to the MAX . It was a once in a life time experience . The Songs at the end with the whole Beach Boy gang and Jeff Beck singing were an amazing experience !

Having been a Beach Boys fan since 1962 it was great to finally see Brian live, in person. He did most of his biggest hits. But what blew everyone away was doing the complete Pet Sounds album. Going backstage to meet Brian and Al was icing on the cake. Wow!

Great to see Wilson and Al Jardine (backed by 10 other musicians) perform live. Many of us never got to see Brian Wilson even 50 years ago since he had stopped touring with The Beach Boys. Unfortunately, it was rather sad to see Wilson so overweight and suffering from some condition that required him to be led on stage by an assistant. And, regrettably, as happens with most rock concerts, the instruments were cranked up higher than the voices, so many of the lyrics, though known to most of the audience, were unintelligible.

Brian Wilson and Al Jardine put on a show The Beach Boys of today could never imagine. Just enough pop to remind the emotions who we once were. Enough of the deepest songs to remind us who we still are. I was moved to dance and to cry. I miss Carl and Denny immensely. Chaplin was so cool, so funny and added much dimension and rock cred. And Matt Jardine, give him the keys to the kingdom--man can sing. Brian, you are loved.

One song after another. Brian and Al are the heart and soul of The Beach Boys. Al sounds better than ever and sings Mike Love s leads better than Mike. His son can hit those high notes just like Carl. This is third time I ve seen them and they don t stop! Blondie Chapman also adds to the energy on his three songs. It was one song after another. Hope Brian and Friends do it again next year.

Although we have seen the various lineups of The Beach Boys at least 8 times through the years, this band is a "must see". It was fun to watch the comradery in the band as well as the love they all seem to share for each other. Al and Matt Jardine were outstanding, it was good to see Brian finally enjoying being on stage again and receiving back from the audience the love and appreciation for the years of creativity and memories he has given the world.

This was an outstanding show with an outstanding group of musicians. Brian struggled with some of the vocals, but that's why Matthew Jardine was there to back him up. He could sing Brian's songs almost as good as Brian back in the day. Awesome show. I'd go see them again if I had the chance.

This my third time seeing the Pet Sounds concert and each one was wonderful. The band on this concert was excellent and included original Beach Boys Al Jardine and Blondie Chapman as well as Brian Wilson. As always, Brian Wilson is a master of sounds and pulled this concert together with the help of a new band leader / music coordinator (far right in photos below playing saxophone, harmonica or flute). This is the "Real Beach Boys" concert to not miss.

Brian is losing his pipes but...Matt Jardine, Al's son, was there and handled the falsetto high notes like a pro. They ran thru a bunch of old Beach Boys songs! Then they the entire Pet Sounds album, including instrumentals. Phenomenal! If you get a chance see this. Brian may not be touring too much longer.

I was privileged to see Brian Wilson perform with his brothers, Al Jardine, Mike Love, & Bruce Johnston as The Beach Boys back in 1982. 35 years later, the effects of mental illness, drug abuse, and psychological abuse from an evil Doctor were on full display. I welled up when he was led onto the stage and nearly broke down when I saw the tremendous display of love and respect from the audience, all standing and vigorously applauding his appearance. And while it hurt to see him in this condition, it was a delightful concert. Brian Wilson has only 1 living peer\u2014Paul McCartney. He is an American treasure. For 55 years, his art has enriched the lives of people young and old. How heavenly would it be to live inside a Brian Wilson song?

...of a clone of Brian Wilson! The show was beyond my expectations. The people in the audience were so positive and receptive of Brian's incredible catalog of music, especially Pet Sounds. I'm dreaming of the day when perhaps Darian Sahanaja would ever take SMiLE on the road in the future. I know that Brian is getting up in years, but still, it was so wonderful to hear his music played live. NJ PAC is a beautiful venue, with great acoustics. All in all, do not miss the opportunity to see Wilson and friends in concert!

The Band was Wonderful. They are all so kind and responsive. Brian Wilson had to sit center stage behind a small keyboard because his large, white grand didn't fit through the doors. He made the best of it all. He looked tired and put out but he was batting a 90%. At times the band had to hiccup to match his singing but they are so loving and aware of his being. They ended up playing lots of music not on the Pet Sounds album. Some songs I hadn't heard in years! The show topped two and a half hours. The venue was OK. They checked all bags for cameras and contraband. They wouldn't let me take my SLR into show so I had one of the band members get it in for me. Before the show, me and my friends met up with Probyn, Nelson, Billy Hinche and Gary Griffin. We always try to say "Hi" to the guys. Well, Brian always comes through. I did notice that lots of fans didn't sing along or dance to the music. Me, I become electrified and have to sing each song and use my arms to accent each rhythm plateau! If you get a chance, don't miss one of his shows..They are numbered!

The Beach Boys and Brian Wilson know how to please an audience. The show started with about 45 minutes of their hits, followed by the complete Pet Sounds and another 30 minutes of hits. Brian Wilson's voice is not what it used to be but considering what he has been through it's a miracle he can sing at all. He was supported marvelously by his nephew on a few of the more challenging vocals.

This was sold out! We were stunned that the audience was full of millennials, not just us of the 60s Generation! The first half was a good mix of a few surfer tunes, some hot-rodding, a sampling of Smile!, a crazy rendition of Wild Honey and a couple of numbers by members of the band, and the second half was all Pet Sounds! Wonderful falsettos by Al's young son Matt, and some great duets between himself and Brian... and the audience knew every song-- toward the end, when Brian said, there's just one song left on Pet Sounds-- everyone was calling out "Caroline!" for Caroline, no. What an evening! Amazing old theater too, the original historic Walker, now the Burton Cummings. Encore was Vibrations & Rhonda.

I love the Beach Boys and own almost all of their music. I'm only 18 so I haven't had the opportunity to attend any of their concerts before. I saw that Brian Wilson was coming to Boise and immediately bought the tickets. I was so excited to go. The actual performance was one of the best things I've been to in my short life. Although Brian is older and cannot sing as high he gave it his all on the songs he did sing, which were many. It was also awesome that Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin were there. They sang lead on many songs as well. All of the people on instrumentals and backup vocals were also amazing. They didn't talk to the crowd as much during the concert so they were able to play a lot more songs. I will never forget the amazing experience I had there.

Great lighting, great music, and a fun night overall. Wish the Morrison Center wasn't such a difficult place to get a good sound mix....all vocals and music were muddy... NOT the sound guy's fault. It's the venue. Great night of music that brought wonderful memories and fun to see an audience of 50-60-somethings dancing and having a blast. Al Jardin's son brought the vocals to life singing the high parts. They played The Beach Boys favorites and the more experimental of Mr Wilson's music too....

Pet Sounds is just as fresh and moving as it was 50 years ago and the entire band played an unforgettable full set. We listened to our beach friends again. I think about 6 or 7 times over the years. Some of the names have changed but the sound has always remained the same. The sound we've identified with our youth perhaps. Brian, thank you for that. We don't want to forget anyone because the stage presence and talent were incredible. What a concert! For a die-hard Beach Boy fan like me, (I've attended many, many Beach Boy Concerts) it was a thrill to finally see Brian live and up close. Adding to the fun was the unadvertised appearance of Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin who joined Brian and his incredible band for the entire concert. The band played for 2 and 3/4 hours including an intermission and a five or six set encore. The first 3/4 of the concert consisted of one Beach Boy hit after another including a number of their less known, but I assume Brian favorites, many with Brian singing the lead. After the intermission they played the Pet Sounds album song after song in order off the album. The crowd interrupted things multiple times with standing ovations to which Brian firmly said "Please Sit Down!" and quickly went on to the next song. Over all it was outstanding and a real event to remember.

Seeing Brian Wilson, along with Al Jardine, in concert was awesome. Even if Brian did have some trouble singing, it made no difference. He IS the Beach Boys. His brother Dennis said it. It seemed like they sang practically every Beach Boys song you would want them to be singing. BUT, the best part was meeting Brian and Al and being at the sound check. Almost like a private concert.

When I read the set list I thought this would be one of the best concerts ever. It started out good and Mat Jardine was a great singer who brought the Beach Boys back to life. Unfortunately a singer from South Africa or somewhere else that had nothing to do with the Beach Boys brought the concert to a grinding halt, it was horrible. With no video screens you couldn't see any of the band members. The concert didn't turn out to be the memory I grew up with loving the Beach Boys and wanting to re-live that time.

What an amazing and incredibly talented band Brian Wilson has. The Beach Boys music they played was spot on perfection ! And then to play the entire Pet Sounds Album was out of this world. Al's son Matt sang all the higher tasty song registry parts to perfection without a glitch !!!!! I think Brian was a bit tired from a long Tour and he possible could have put a little more energy into it being the last show.....But Brian is a genius anyways and I love him for his incredible love and mercy he gives us thru his music !!!!!!!! Brian Wilson is a musical genius, no doubt about it. He's contributed a huge amount of songs to the Baby Boomer Soundtrack. Now, like the rest of us, he's getting older. His "pipes" are a bit rusty, and his stage presence is non-existent, but he's still Brian Wilson, and just seeing him and hearing those songs again from that vast songbook is well worth the price of admission. The "ringer" band was great, particularly Al Jardine's kid. FYI- Al Jardine can still belt out a mean "Help Me Rhonda" as well when called upon. Worth every cent!!!

Well, I was happy to finally see the great artist himself, and expected him to be sub-par, so this was show was both awesome and tragic. As all other reviewers have said, the band is fantastic and the songs are beautiful. One can see the musical artistry of the songwriting simply by the fact that 12 musicians are needed to bring it all to life. Brian sang a number of songs himself, but his voice wasn't even close to what it once was. Fortunately he allotted much of the high singing to Matt Jardine, son of original member Al Jardine, whose voice perfectly mimics both Brain's and Carl's. But when Brian took the mic it was evident he was done. The poor guy... he probably did not want to do any of the last 15 or 20 concert dates. It was cool to hear him sing Good Vibrations, but it was really more of a bark than a melody. God Only Knows also suffered because of this. However, the concert felt really good overall. The music was beautiful. Al Jardine still sounds like the Beach Boy he was. The crowd gave much love to Brian and his band. I hope he felt it as he walked away from us for the final time.

I thought the Greek Theater concert a few years ago was very good. This one was really, really good. The band is incredible. And Matt Jardine taking over many of Brian's vocals was spot on. (unfortunately, Brian couldn't hit the notes. On some songs he was speaking, not singing the words). But the band. WOW! A great concert.

Brian was surronded by first class musicians. Al Jardin was a bonus . Blonde Chaplin ultamet show man w the Guitar. It was great to hear the Beach Boy songs that I grew up with. As we all get older and begin to loose the people who gave us the soundtracks of our youth and time after, I am very apreciative to see Brian. It was no means a perfect performance and the audience could see how time has taken its toll on him phisically, his effort still well appreciated He can no longer hit the high notes, but the addition of Al Jardins son, whom was able to clearly pick up the vocals, topped it off. Listenning to the Pet Sound album was a real treat.

I drove to Costa Mesa from Las Vegas to see this show with my cousin who lives there. Both of us baby boomers were Beach Boys fans from the beginning. My second 45 bought at the age 9 was "surfin" back in '61. Enough about me...Brian Wilson and his band were absolutely wonderful. the playlist was very comprehensive and the live performance was amazingly studio like in quality!! All the elements were there and the performances were spot on. Equally important was the sound. If you saw it on stage you heard it and the mix was studio like with perfect blendings and NO overdriven sound! Most live performances are marred by substandard mixing and overdriven systems with no regard for the venue. LOUDER IS NOT BETTER..... I gave this experience a perfect 10 and so did my cousin. Thank you Brian Wilson.....for all the love you gave us.
