Just saw Jroddy on 10/8. Wow crazy energy. They really put in a show for the fans. Even got to hang with a few of them after the show. Great group of guys great music.

These guys are no fluke. Second time I have seen them and they didn't disappoint!

Loved the opener local band Personal Public! Declan McKenna was brilliant! Can't believe he is only 17 years old! The DMAs were so good I downloaded their music off ITunes that night! Best Coast is one of my favorite bands right now and I love Bethany and Bob! J Roddy Walston and the Business totally rocked and had the crowd in a frenzy and crowd surfing! Express Live is an amazing venue! Late Night Slice Pizza and Blue Moon and Leinenkugal Summer Shandy on tap, awesome! Only two suggestions, need the orange slice for the Blue Moon and Nachos would be nice! Loved it!

Such an amazing show these dudes should be listened to buy everyone in the galaxy!

These guys were incredible. Catch them live when they come to your town. The energy and joy of pure rock and roll is amazing. I've seen hundreds of shows in nearly 40 years. This one is in my top ten. Check them out!

When you get your first crowd surf and subsequent stage dive at Bowery Ballroom, how can you not say this band is truly amazing live?

I found out about J Roddy Walston & the Business a year ago and had been waiting and waiting for them to come to NYC, the wait was worth it. Great show, amazing energy from the band and the crowd. I like them even more after seeing them live.

J Roddy is always incredible. I am so happy that I got to see the band in such an intimate venue as they prep songs from their upcoming album.

This may have been the best show I have ever seen. Unparalleled energy and devotion, and for a regional touring band, the crowd was SO involved, singing along with every song. GREAT SHOW!

The show started explosively with don't break the needle. Halfway into the set they threw in a few new ones and closed the sandwitch with more chest pounding, piano smashing, sick A rock songs we love.

J Roddy was amazing! Great show! The venue was perfect for them and J Roddy rocked it with a 102 fever!! I would see them again in a heartbeat.

I've been seeing The Features play a little more than a show a year for about eight years now. When I saw them open for the Kings of Leon years ago, I knew I'd found my new favorite band. Last night I got to watch other people discover them. "This guy is awesome!" I heard one man say. When the show ended another couple kept exclaiming, "That was unbelievable!" Yes it was.

They blew the doors off Mercury Lounge. If they're playing anywhere near you, go see them and thank me after the show.

J Roddy & the Biz played a great show.... J Roddy is to the piano what Animal (from the Muppets) is to the drum set. I also think his hair should get credit as the 5th member of the band, because it's crazy!

J-Roddy is both the history and future of rock and roll. His music is reminescent of shadows and peanut-strewn dusty hardwood, morning regrets and late night triumphs, old jeans still carrying the scent of last night's whiskey, and bruises with origins that you can't remember. Watching him live is like watching the Muppets. The energy he exudes is so tiring to watch, it's hard to believe it's even possible. I saw him open for William Elliot Whitmore two years ago and instantly fell in love with their music. Two years later, he still leaves his heart on the stage and his music in yours. I can only hope they see enough commerical success that I will always have a new J-Roddy album to look forward to, and not enough that they become KOL. Amazing set...can't wait till his next visit.

After recently being introduced to J. Roddy Walston & the Business I knew I had to see a show. I don't normally go to shows that often but based on the buzz I was reading online and how much I love their 2010 untitled album, I knew I couldn't miss them. They didn't disappoint. J. Roddy Walston & the Business play with a lot of energy and sound great live. My only complaint is that there were not many people there. It's a shame a band that good is not getting the attention they deserve.

SHOW WAS FANTASTIC. WISH MORE PEOPLE WERE THERE, BUT SMALL CROWD WAS GOOD ALSO. IF YOU EVER GET A CHANCE TO SEE THESE GUY'S YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

I saw them open for Deer Tick in November...they are absolutely incredible. I bought the album the next day and have listened to it countless times. I cannot wait for them to come back to New York City.

J. Roddy Walston and the Business are in the business of rocking out to crowds who can't get enough! I love the eclectic fans and just being there singing and dancing with everyone. The Glorious Sons opened for J. Roddy and holy #$&!, they are a band to witness. Experience J. Roddy and The Glorious Sons live or at least look into them. I give you a zero disappointment guarantee.

May well be the most energetic performance that I have ever seen from a front man. J Roddy gives EVERY song his all...truly incredible from start to finish.

Rock and roll ain't dead- it's coming out of Richmond VA. J Roddy Walston and the business will restore your faith in rock n roll, the power of music and possibly humanity itself. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a great band that always Rocks the House! They have so much energy on stage and provide great entertainment. No matter what your age, if you enjoy high powered rock, they are a must see!

This band is a ball of energy ... what a great experience!

My wife and I just discovered the band earlier this year and were excited to learn they were coming to town. I would like to apologize to the band for the pathetic South Florida attendance. That said, those that did showup got an amazing and intimate show that was as energetic as any I've ever seen. I have incredible respect for this band not mailing it in because of the poor turnout - cause it would have been justified. We will be seeing them again at One Big Holiday in the DR next year and cannot wait for them to feel the love from best music fans on Earth! And they WILL!!!!

I've seen J Roddy twice before this show, both times were great! But, this show was horrible!! We left early because the sound was that bad. The band was still as high-energy as ever, but whoever was in charge of their sound was not on their game. Such a bummer, this was my first night out in awhile and I was looking forward to a good show!!

J. Roddy absolutely killed it. Tons of energy. Took some friends that had never heard the music before and they loved it. Will go next time they are in town.

The show on Friday was terrific. But then again, they always are!

Super spectacular performance but even more amazing crowd. I only give it a 4 because the vocals were kind of drowned out by the instruments but had a blast.

I happened to be walking by the stage these guys were playing on at the Newport Folk Fest to get to a band I wanted to see on another stage. As soon as I heard them, I stopped and stayed for the whole set. Within a week of returning home, I bought tickets to their show and they did not disappoint. Great band, great sound and really fun live show.

Awesome show, especially loved the chiseled blonde guy with the beard and unbuttoned shirt who was dancing on the second level.

you must see this band live. It's hard to say who gets more pumped and gives more between the band and the crowd. The energy is incredible and the music is pure gold.

I've seen them play many many times and this was, by far, the best show yet! Fly Golden Eagle (opening act) was quite impressive too!

J. Roddy Walston and the Business took the stage at 9:15 and it was all business. I had seen them earlier in the year up in Portchester with Lucero, while I enjoyed the show enough to see them again, this energy level was a completely different experience. The Roddy fans in attendance knew all of the songs word for word, and the band responded with a high octane set. Billy Gordon's guitar and J. Roddy's piano playing stand out, if you haven't seen this band they are worth a listen. With the exception of their new "Coors Light" commercial (Sweat Shock), they have managed to stay under the radar in many circles. They have crafted a stage presence through the years that demands fans interact with them and the give and take is great to see. I will be watching to see what the future brings J. Roddy, but the next time they come to New York, simply check them out...you won't be disappointed

J Roddy put on one of the best concerts I have ever been to! It was loud, it was rowdy and it was a hell of a great night! Would have paid ten times the amount they were asking :)

This band is amazing. They are true rock n roll and they are great entertainers! You do not hear many bands this day and age that have that old school rock sound. Sweat Shock sounds like a Led Zeppelin song...such an awesome sound! I've seen them play at the A&R bar and now Newport....great venues for an up close and personal rock concert! I would see them again and again! I Don't Wanna Hear It - Excellent choice for the opening song...one of my favorites!

This show showcased two great opening local bands who get air time on CD102.5 and J Roddy brought down the house! It is by far the best concert I've been to. I've been to Ratt, Motley Crue, etc. Nothing even compares to the showmanship, passion and dedication J Roddy Walston and the Business brought.

AMAZING show. J rod rocks so good. First opening act "the bummers" were enjoyable - however the regrettes (2nd opener) were unbearable. I would follow this band and be super surprised if they do not explode in the near future.
