This was my first time seeing the podcast live after being a long-time listener of the podcast and watcher of the show (RIP show)...waited 4 years to see this thing. The show ended up being 2 hours instead of an hour and a half because Scott Aukerman had a lot of guests. The only con was the theater seats; they were very uncomfortable, so whenever I laughed really hard (which was often) my stomach hurt like heck, but other than that I had a blast! Scott is a very sharp, funny dude hosting a slew of professional comedians and actors. It's kinda sad the whole Comedy Bang! Bang! thing isn't widely known because that was quality long-form improv.

I'm not sure what I expected from a 1.5 hour podcast recording but they just did the podcast recording on a stage instead of in a studio. Lacked visuals, no flairs, no frills. Seems like not a lot of bang for one's buck.

I've been listening to the podcast for just about a year and a half, so when I heard about the tour, I jumped on the chance to purchase. Incredible show and 100% worth every penny. Even though they were on their 5th out of 6 shows everybody involved was still on their A-game. I laughed from start to finish, and would listen to the recording again and again if I ever had the chance. Only thing is that I hope in the near future they will tour again because I would go back in an instant.

It was billed as Comedy Bang Bang but that's not what we got. No set, no format, and NO REGGIE WATTS!!!! Sure, we got a very amusing promotion of a new IFC show as a first act. But this was followed by an OK Aukerman stand up bit leading into a three way conversation with Scott, Doug Benson, and a very funny Frank Thomkins playing Werner Herzog. Initially amusing, this bit quickly ran out of steam, degenerating into a tedious Carrot Top bit. I realize that the tickets were reasonable and parking was free but a good opportunity was missed due to cheapness and laziness. If it's not Comedy Bang Bang don't call it that.

I think I probably almost died twelve times over the course of this show, much to the dismay of everyone around me.

Where was Reggie Watts? Paul F Thomkins killed it, definitely the best part of the show. Scott Aukerman was good, but Doug Benson was a poor choice. He literally added nothing funny to set. Where is Reggie Watts? I thought this was Comedy Bang Bang!

I was expecting sketch comedy and perhaps some standup. Instead I got awkward preteen humor done in an improv, live podcast format. Except there was very little humor. And the entire show was 3 guys sitting on stools desperately trying to think of witty puns. Scott Aukerman has no business doing live comedy. He somehow managed to render Doug Benson speechless and force Paul F. Thompkin to stay in Werner Herzog character the entire show. There was even a "bit" about naming Carrot Top movies that lasted 30 minutes. I can't make this up. Scott named 20 movies and just replaced on word with the word carrot. And then laughed at his own jokes. I hadn't seen anything like this since my bus in junior ugh school. You have been sufficiently warned.

Funny show, had a really good time. Has both great improv and standup bits. It's also kind of weird (especially Tim Heidecker) so you might not "get it" unless you're familiar with the podcast or the show.

After Braunohler , I was sweating from my laughter. After Aukerman, my face hurt. After Adomian, my abs had turned washboard. After Tompkins, my body tried to vomit from the sheer amount of laughing I was doing. That was just the first half of the show... Dear god, what did I sign up for...

Of all the characters on CBB two of my favorites are the Cake Boss and Huell Howser. We got them both and man did they ever deliver! Everyone was on that night and even with his broken heel, Hot Saucerman did a great job as always. Can't wait for more tours in the future because these two and half hours are absolutely some of my favorite comedy.

Funny cast. Comedy Bang Bang was quality work. The theater tech execution was kind of weird, but still a great show.

The CBB live show lived up to the quality of the prerecorded podcast! Neil Campbell was a great opener and I enjoyed all the guests. Wish I could have gone to more dates!

I drove from Birmingham to see this show, especially drawn by Paul F. Tompkins and Scott Aukerman. They, Lauren Lapkus, Neil Campbell, and Drew Tarver put on the most exciting and hilarious show I've ever been to. The Tabernacle was a beautiful location, and concessions, restrooms, seating, and the meet-and-greet were all handled well by the staff.

Neil Campbell gave a hilarious alt comedy standup as the opening act, and the other three carried a hilarious improvised character show for over an hour. There were lots of callbacks for podcast listeners, although unfortunately there were no special guests on this night. The comedians were gracious enough to stay and meet a lot of fans, and even to donate part of the proceeds to a local charity.

Auckerman, PFT and Lapkus are the holy trinity of improv comedy. If you like improv you MUST see this show. My show had the Timekeeper as the warm up which was also hysterical. Go see this show!

The comics were tired for this 10pm show, and were on stage for barely an hour. The warm-up act got bigger laughs.

Absolutely hilarious and worth every penny. The four comedians onstage were incredibly quick and sharp. It was great to see them embodying characters I'd been listening to for years and really enjoy the experience and each other's company. I brought a friend who had never listened to CBB and she was laughing hysterically. Great show!

Anyone going to see this is obviously a fan of Comedy Bang Bang already (as I am), but one thing I liked was that a lot of the jokes would be funny for anyone who is not a religious fan of Comedy Bang Bang. It was hilarious from start to end - go see it!

I was really really looking forward to this show because I love the CBB podcast so much (and the TV show as well). But the show was underwhelming and I definitely wouldn't pay $45 to go see this again. I feel like it should have be more like a $20 show. It was very short and it didn't provide anything you can't get from the podcast -- I wish I had just saved the money and listened tot he recording the next day. I thought the live show would offer SOMEthing more than just Scott and guests sitting and talking to each other, I'm not sure what though. They threw in veeery weak Boston-specific references but otherwise didn't bother to connect to he audience at all. Neil stole the show and seeing his cape was the only visual benefit of seeing this show live rather than listening to the recording (but I would have been fine with seeing a pic of him in the cape online, too, and saving $45). Scott, Paul (as much as it pains me to say, since PFT is my absolute fav), and Lauren were barely entertaining at all.

Scott and Paul were fantastic, as expected. The fact that we were denied any "special guests" as promised, was extremely disappointing. Not worth the two hour drive. Wish it had been.

Comedy Bing Bong was a magical experience of joy and wonderment. The presence of John C Reilly was uplifting, and the tasty, nasty presence of Ducky Powell was very grounding. I left the theater hoping that by the next anniversary of my birth, I would have enjoyed munching as much powder as he had. Scott was wearing a lavender shirt, just as I imagined he would be. The preceding complete lack of clothing on the part of one of the Birthday Boys, however, was slightly jarring. Yet, with the skill that only one with a complete lack of shame can muster, he managed to keep his unmentionables entirely shielded from view for the duration of his appearance.

I'm familiar with Comedy Bang! Bang! and Scott Auckerman from the first season of the TV show, which I loved. I haven't seen anymore and I don't listen to the podcast, but I hope to see/hear them soon. This show was great. You didn't even need to know anything about them to thoroughly enjoy the show. I know because I brought someone who wasn't familiar at all. So first, the sketch group The Birthday Boys were the openers. They have a new show starting on IFC after CBB that I'm definitely going to check out after seeing them live. Very, very funny. I laughed more at their sketches than anything on SNL in the last 10 years. They were a great warm-up and I hope to see them again sometime. Then on to the main act, Scott Auckerman, the host of CBB. The only part I was disappointing in was that Reggie Watts, another comedian and his in-show DJ was not part of the tour. As for the rest, Scott did some stand-up and then did the podcast with a local, underground comic and Paul F Tompkins (acting as someone else). It was all improved and incredibly funny. The local comedian was waaaay out of his element but Scott and Paul are class and know how to pull out of any skid he created. Since it's improved, every show should be different. I was blown away by how much I laughed and cried from their back and forth.

We waited for an hour to get in because the venue was having some video and sound system malfunctions. They couldn't fix the video system in time so we missed out on that. But the show was funny overall. Scott and Patrick were phenomenal. Not your typical comedy show since it's In a podcast interview format.

The show was almost 90 minutes late starting. The host explained there were technical difficulties and they weren't able to play any of the videos they had prepared, which I believe is a big part of the show. As a result it seemed thrown together and improvised...not in a good way. The format was just 4 men sat in a row asking each other questions. The show needed more variation and a change of format at least a couple of times throughout the show. There were a few laughs but overall very disappointing - it felt like something thrown together at a college rather than a professional show.

This was one of the best comedy shows that I've ever been to and I recommend that you see it too. If you're a fan of the podcast or a fan of the TV show, this is for you. It is even for you if you are a fan of BOTH the podcast and TV show.

As a long time listener of Comedy Bang! Bang!, I was expecting to enjoy this show. I was expecting to laugh. I was even expecting to clap a lot for things I liked. I didn't expect how crippled with laughter I would be for the majority of the show and how the shift from purely podcastual to live stage performanceual would intensify the humor to such a ridiculous degree. Paul F. Tompkins completely delivered, newcomer Wes Hazard - while reverent of his position - fit in well and had timely quips, and the world famous Scottabot was his usual interviewing self with a surprise bit of solo work before the show started. If I had to give it mustard or pants, I'd give it pants! You owe it to yourself as a fan of the show/podcast/related shows/related podcasts to see these gentlemen at work in your life. They are a national treasure to behold, even if you aren't Nic Cage searching for the Declaration of Independence, and are fine comedians.

From the intro to the final second, I could hardly stay on my seat. An audio glitch held the show up, but it was definitely worth the wait. The Birthday Boys rocked it. Each of the cast were great but Mitch's Under the Seats was a howl. Aukmans insiteful wit and local humor kept were complimented perfectly by Tompkins wild and zany antics. A Blast!

I enjoyed the whole show but particularly enjoyed seeing The Birthday Boys who are relatively new to the comedy circuit. Silly humor but really funny. Too bad the videos didn't work. The interaction with Scott and Paul was good. Would love to see more of The Birthday boys. Can't wait to see their show on TV.
