Love the Pops and Lockhart and go in Boston when I visit. Really enjoyed the arrangements but was disappointed in the acoustics of Amalie. Why couldn't Straz Center be used?

What a great holiday event! We were so pleased with the venue and seeing Keith Lockhart conduct was incredible. All the pieces performed were wonderful, as well as the choir who sang both classics and new arrangements. My absolute favorite was their rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas! We will definitely make this a holiday tradition. Fun for all ages

I loved everything but especially the Pops performing Sleigh Ride and Melinda Doolittle singing. She sang Children Go Where I Send Thee, Do You Hear What I Hear?, Joy To The World and a medley of My Lord What A Morning, Rise Up Shepherd and Glory Hallelujah.

The Boston Pops Orchestra venue at Verizon Center was disappointing. I had never been to a musical performance there before the 2010 Boston Pops Concert. The songs were wonderful, the reading of The Night Before Christmas by Josh Judge a pleasant surprise, and the vocals were amazing; yet the full depth of the orchestra was lost in the lacking acoustics of the Verizon Wireless Center. I have been to a local high school 's concerts where I could feel the music and left truly moved. Not the case last Saturday night at the Pops concert. We had great seats, but I would not go to another concert at this location again. As much as I love the Pops, the experience was not worth the cost of the tickets.

The Pop's itself was great .however we have a son that has a many challenges. He loves music and enjoyed himself. He expresses himself with hand motions . WE unfortunately had a family that sat in the row infront of us who were'nt comfortable with our son and complained. tom wasn't disruptive. one of the ushers came and told us and aske dthat we go to a more secluded area. I advised that he wasn't being disuptive and that if he was I'd be the first to leave . 2 of the people in front of us became very rude . They finally left but ruined our the rest of our show. I can't believe that there are people out there that aren't in the 21 century!. The people behind us apoligized for there behavior and said that he wan't being disruptive at all.

I would not go to this event again. I prefer the traditional Christmas songs. Improvisation of xmas songs is like abusing the true spirit of the real meaning of Xmas. This event should be advertised as NAME THAT TUNE!!!

This was my first time seeing the Boston Pops orchestra's Christmas show. I went with my fiance to celebrate the season hoping to hear all the holiday classics. This is where I had a little disappointment with the show. The orchestra itself played exceptionally. I would have thought I was listening to a studio recording they played so flawlessly. However, when it came to song selection, especially with regards to teh ones sung by Melinda Doolittle, I found many of the songs before the intermission to be unfamiliar or sung in a way that they seemed foreign. I would have rather she sang song such as "Silent Night" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". She certainly had the talent to be able to do a wonderful job with them. Thankfully, the second half of the show featured a lot more of the traditional holiday tunes which pleased both my fiance and I. So overall it was still a good show we simply would have preferred a more traditional song selection.

The pops and Keith Lockhart gave another memorable performance mixture of traditional and classic Christmas tunes in time for the holidays. The only miscue was the pops printed the words of the sing-alongs in their program, but never turned up the house lights at that time - so no-one could read them! What were they thinking?

We went to the Pops concert expecting a wonderful night. After going to the Pops in 2009 this concert was horrible. The guest singer was not good at all. The music was drab and boring. I guess once you've seen 2009 nothing else could possibly compare!!!

We loved the program, the musical arrangements, the guest soloist (Melissa Doolittle), the choir and Santa. Our seat, however were in the second row orchestra. Too close, too low. We could only see the conductor and the first row of the orchestra. That was unfortunate.

The musicians were amazing and the variety of music played showed an incredible depth of skill. From scores by classical American composers to contemporary songs from Queen, Abba and the Beatles, the Boston Pops showed its versatility and capability. The only disappointment was that there were no programs available to help the audience understand the progression of the evening or the names of the performers.

The Boston Pops are a fabulous orchestra under the direction of Keith Lockhart. We have been going to the "Pops" in Boston since the days of Arthur Feidler and have never been disappointed. It is always an uplifting evening filled with easily recognizable music played to perfection. by the orchestra. Keith makes the evening a joy with his introductions of the pieces they are going to play. If you have the opportunity to go to a concert do not miss it, it is a wonderful evening spent.

Excellent concert. Keith Lockhart put together a most enjoyable program, from Dvorak to Dancing Queen. The only part that didn't work too well was the sing-along to music by the Beatles. Although the words were in the program, there was insufficient lighting to read them. Add to that, Keith had a cold and was unable to lead the singing, so the result was less than desirable.

The orchestra was excellent. Great piano player. Keith Lockhart is a wonderful arranger and leader. The selection of music could have been better. No programs were givin out so Lockhart had to explain every musical score. Crowd was only about 50% filled normally sold out. They changed the time from 8:00 to 7:00 and many came in late. For future events I would like to see more of todays music then stuff from the late 1800s and early 1900s.

As an ex-New Englander, I was thrilled when I heard the Pops would be in Tampa. I purchased the tickets as a Christmas present for my husband. He was so happy when he opened them. Having never been to a concert at the Amalie, wasn't sure how it would be but I needn't have worried. The orchestra filled the place with their distinctive sound and it was wonderful. I could have listened to them for hours on end. Fabulous musicians, great music - what a lovely, lovely evening. Even if it was on Tuesday night :(.

Once again the Boston Pops did not disappoint. The band was at it's ultimate best, as usual. If you have never experienced the Boston Pops you are missing one the worlds greatest orchestras. Only disappointment of the night was the attendance number. Venue needs to get more advertising out there. I can not believe in a city this size there were so few there.

I real expected more popular and familiar music, such as Broadway hits, show tunes etc. That is the way it used to be. I feel that the Pops are changing. I really don't care about how they composed different songs by combining them with other sounds. If I wanted that type of music I would attend the Florida Symphony Orchestra concerts. I would tell the Mr. Lockhart to get back to the original popular music, hence the name "Pops". If he is planning on going a different direction, then he should not call it the "Pops". Just a footnote: A few years ago I was in Melbourne, Australia. While there I attended a concert by the Australian Symphony Orchestra. Their program that evening was: The Australian Symphony Plays The Boston Pops. Sadly I enjoyed that concert much more.

Was concerned about the acoustics (or lack thereof) in the Arena, but they sounded amazing! Just like a recording! Our group of two couples enjoyed the music provided by the Boston Pops led by Keith Lockhart as they performed at the Germain Arena and altough we had not been to this arena before, the acoustics were not bad nor where the seats ! We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of music played showcasing American composers...I especially enjoyed the jazz and big band sounds. Keith Lockhart was as endearing as always, even after 20 years as conductor of the Boston Pop...just gets better...and to finish the evening there was the audience participation "sing-a-long" featuring Beatles music and their signature big finish complete with an American Flag drop-down !! GREAT evening.

I have been to the Pops Holiday concert before and loved it and was excited to take my daughters for the first time this year - it was a special way to celebrate the holiday season with family and they put on a wonderful show! Keith Lockhart is great! One of my girls loved their special performance of the 12 days of Christmas song which was pretty neat! Us adults thought it pretty funny when Santa came out with his cell phone! I wish they would lower the prices. We had the cheap seats way up high and the people on stage looked about 2 inches tall. There were lots of empty seats in the lower section.

Totally Awesome...last year saw the Trans Siberian Orchestra, looking for the ultimate holiday family boost...sort of got it...but the Pops was the way to do it...almost as good as Radio City experience, but really that's comparing apples and oranges.

What a wonderful even this is! I try to take my mom as a Christmas present every few years. There's always something a little different, but the Pops are always fabulous! Such a special night out to share. It's great there are so many different price levels for seats, too. I will remember my binocs next time, so I can really watch the musicians closely while I enjoy their music!!!
