Dropkick Murphys
American Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys have made a career out of celebrating their Irish heritage through anthemic punk songs rooted in the traditional Irish music they heard as children. During the band’s early days in Boston, they endeared themselves to the city’s notoriously Irish-friendly locals with annual Saint Patrick’s Day concerts – frontman Ken Casey even owns a pub. With their eighth studio album, 2013’s Signed and Sealed in Blood, the band delivered another strong set of bagpipe-laden sing-alongs like “Rose Tattoo” and “The Season’s Upon Us,” landing them at No. 9 on the Billboard 200.
