Went to see this band at the Beaumont in Kansas City with Into You Like a Train opening. The opening band was awesome, but on a really good show. The sound was great. Then Magf**kingnificent came on with two guys with guitars and an iPad drum/keyboard. The intro was promising, but when the singer started the sound was totally distorted. We stayed for 5-6 songs, thinking that they would stop and fix the sound problem, but I honestly think there was something wrong with the guy doing the vocals, not the sound system. I asked the manager of the bar if it was a joke concert and she sais she had no idea what was going on. I would have to guess that when we left, there were maybe 25 people left in the whole bar. I would like to see this band again because I love The Cure, but not sure if I trust them to do a serious show.

The opening band was good, although the lead singer read his lyrics. We left after 2 songs from Magf**Kingnificent since the base player didn't know his base lines or the lyrics. His voice was awful, sounded nothing like The Cure (as a Cure coverband), and he also did not know his lyrics.

The group who played The Cure first was incredible. They have them down! The second group, fine music. Horrible singer. I heard he had been sick...should have canceled and stayed home. Just awful.
