Jin Akanishi

Jin's concert was amazing! His dancers were amazing and synchronized and got the crowd to clap their hands and get more excited. The crowd was very well behaved as well (Im not sure if this would be good behavior but it sure showed their love for Jin, a group up front threw like 5 bra's at him on stage!) Jin took it very well and everyone was just laughing, He looked happy for that much love. I do wish the concert was longer though! Just can't get enough! Only con was that no pictures were allowed. Though I was still able to sneak in some shots! :P

It is really a wonderful show! I looooove the beautiful voice of Jin! Everyone in the show was excited and I haven't expected that I need to stand all through the performance! The light, the sound, the dancers, and of course, Jin, are all soooooo attractive!

Jin, your concert was AMAZING! I LOVED it SSSOOOO MUCH! I wish that you would perform again. It was an exciting experience to see you live, especially since you were in the band that I was so obsessed with at first. KAT-TUN! Wish that you would come back to chicago to perform again. I also LOVED ALL of YOUR SONGS! Especially the "Tipsy Love" song. That one was MY FAVORITE. Hope YOU come back again. This show is the first stop of Jin Akanishi's us tour and it's AMAZING! Jin composed and produced most of the songs by himself and performed them with brilliant voice and dance. Although as one of the top stars in Japan, Jin Akanishi has little experience of performance and promotion in the US before. On this brand new stage, we saw him performancing in his unique style, which is much different with what made him famous in the Japanese pop group KAT-TUN. I appreciate his courage of challenging the unknown road of performancing and insisting to produce the music he really loves. I'm sure he'll have a brighter future, both in US and Japan. The only thing I'm not satisfied with is the promotion of this concert tour. We saw little promotion events in the cities of tour, especially Chicago. And we believe this is the major reason that there're still some empty seats in the theatre. This is really unfair for a singer who has little audience foundation in this place. And according the what Jin meant, the theatre should provide alchohol for whoever above 21 years old. However, we didn't see this kind of service in rosemont theatre, chicago, while his second tour stop in San Fransisco did have alchohol provided.

I really enjoyed the show and Jin was so fantastic!!! I love him so much!!! And the theatre was so wonderful~!

oh my gosh, i would SO go to this again. and again. and again. it was a small venue, but Jin was totally good at keeping things in perspective, and still putting on an AWESOME show!

I love Jin's music and definitely want to support him, however I have mixed reviews on the show. The talent that this artist has is hidden sometimes behind way too much auto-tone, and there is a lack of professionalism in the MC choices for the show. I love the new songs however, and would really like to see an album released. The only other main complaint for the show is that you can never actually see Jin, as he is almost always wearing a hat and sunglasses, and because of that it feels like he is trying to ignore the fans, makes it feel so very impersonal when music is supposed to be something that is personal and brings the audience in. I liked the mix of the dancing in the middle and the videos for an intermission, however the lighting in the theater tended to try and blind the audience at points, making it difficult to see the stage \\when the lights were shining into the audience.

omg... the show is amazing... i finally got to see jin.... he's sooooooooooooo hot.... i love all the songs he sings n just about everything... the light and sound are great toooooooo i will definitely go to his show next time when im available

Jin was so amazing! He was just as gorgeous as I thought and the music was amazing too! I was at the edge of my seat the whole time!(even though I stood throughout the concert). The dancing was really great! I had a blast and it was worth every cent.

I hate a musician lip synchs on stage. it should be prohibited. I want my money back.

Jin Akanishi has great vocals therefore doesn't need all the auto-tone. The concept of the concert being futuristic was lost. I did not understand where the concept was applied to. How was the concert futuristic? The light show was great. The order of the songs were good however the concert was a bit short for the price I paid for. I've talk to some of the other people after the concert and all agreed that the concert could have been longer, a two hour concert with an encore would be the appropriate time frame. For the first concert of the tour, it was good but not great. I would recommended the concert to other on the basis that it's Jin Akanishi from Japan not because it was great concert. I was happy to attend the concert because I am a fan of Jin Akanishi however I left the concert feeling a little unsatisfied.

the concert was amazing. i was very impressed with the overall layout and feel of the performance. despite being in a theater setting it felt like a club from Christmas morning to Tipsy Love. Jin was amazing, his voice was amazing and everything about him screamed he was loving the energy the crowd brought to the performance and he was genuinely having a good time; his smiling and energy really fueled everything he put into the performance. This is definitely an amazing concert and i highly recommend it to anyone that doesn't have a ticket or is still thinking about it. this is an amazing opportunity to get closer to Jin than you would at any concert in Japan. he really makes everyone feel like he's singing just for them. Amazing!

It was GREAT!! I enjoyed it alot!! I was sort of hesitant and didn't know what to expect because I read some reviews about his LA concerts and some fans were disappointed with his concert because it wasn't like a typical Johnny's concert. If you had ever gone to a Johnny's concert, I have, Jin's concert is totally different. However, his style of music and the concert he performed is so much more suited to his image and the atmosphere is very energetic! I've never seen him so active and happy before! :D I'll gladly go again to another one he has in Chicago! :D I have no regrets about going at all! It was well worth the travel to get there and the wait to get inside :D

It was a great concert. With fantastic lighting and affects. The biggest problem was the theatre. The artist didn't sell out, and the theatre took the people in the balacony and moved them from the balacony to the front. They paid less than me and they were upgraded to better seats.

I'm not the world's biggest Jin fan, but I am a supporter of Johnny's, so I wanted to catch Jin since he was going to be (reasonably) close by. I think he did a really great job bringing his own style to the show. it's such a big break from the usual Johnny's concert format, but he seems like he's enjoying putting this tour together. The songs sound great, but I think they'll sound even better when there's an actual album. If you like hip hop, pop, and R&B, you'll most likely enjoy what Jin has to offer. Oh, and the kabuki-style dance number they do is really awesome! You have to see it to get the full effect!

The concert is really good. Jin is really good dancer. One thing tho, I feel that the concert is more like a dance show than a concert there are lots of Jin dancing but no the audience. One reason is that he hasn't release an album yet so no one know how to sing his song. Only people that will get to enjoy he concert would be those who are closer to the stage. But overall it's a really interesting and a really good concert. If u are going to see his concert another places.. I would recommended buying a standing session so that you are closer to him and really get to enjoy the concert.

It was a wonderful show but above all just simply amazing and fun music! I wasn't really a fan of Akanishi but I went anyway to see what it would be like. I was thoroughly impressed and became a fan especially of his music. I had to travel out of state to see him perform and I'm glad he made it worth while. When I was there I really did not want it to end. For his Yellow Gold Tour 3010 I will see him in Houston, TX and this time I'm bringing a friend!(And, yes, I have to travel out of state again but it will be totally worth it.) So you can probably gather instead of recommending to a friend I am taking one!!!

For the first concert I travelled across the country. Amazing. For the second, i only have to take the bus, which makes this even more amazing! I'dd go miles to see jin!

Akanishi Jin is the top Japanese Singer around the Asia, he has a perfect looking face and unique personality.

Akanishi Jin, who has a great talent for singing and dancing, will make this 1st US tour an epic!! You will enjoyed it tremendously and back home with big smile on your face :D I can guarantee that this concert will not turn you down definitely! His musics are a reflection of the outstanding talent and efforts that we have come to recognize in JIN!!~~~

I am a fan of him for almost 7 years since I was in high school. Luckily, I attended all the three shows in L.A back on June. Seriously it was the most amazing thing ever happened in my life. Not only because being able to see him that close also he truly performanced an AWESOME show! He sings really really good, the songs were so touchy and he was so sweet and funny. Everyting was perfect. I feel so happy & proud for him. Now his tour is coming, I wish he is ready for this cause me and tons of his fans around the wrold are SO READY to sing, dance and have fun with him! See you in the five shows&Good luck!! I thought the concert was amazing! The opening performers were really good and I like their interactions with the audience. Jin was amazing and his background dancers were sick! Overall one of my favorite concerts!

It was an amazing show. My second concert and both by asian artists. I went with a my gf and siblings and everyone was dancing. I hope he comes back again because he has an amazing voice and all his songs just get you pumped. He was so good I bought the cd the next day.

Everything about this show was amazing, the opening acts actually managed to get the crowd into a good mood, a jamming mood, and then Jin's performance was just great. The backdancers were amazing, I still cannot get over it. The songs were easy to groove to, some more intense than others, but the show felt very balanced and there wasn't a single off or dull moment. Jin is obviously a great song writer and performer.

The theater was not that big so that we could stand really near the stage. I could see all the things clearly. JIN was amazing! His songs and performance were super impressive.

It was an unforgettable experience. Going to New York and experiencing that was an eye-opening experience. Jin was in fine form and showed everything that made him a star in Japan. The opening acts were good and got everyone ready for the main event. The setlist had mostly songs from his new album, but he ended with the title song from his newest Japanese single Seasons. It was worth every penny spent.

The overall performance of Jin is great...the way he sings and dances...and there's much more interaction between him and audience as compared with the show in Honolulu...not sure if that's related to the free standing arrangement ^-^'' Well, should there be areas to improve...um...suggest broadcast the lyrics around the GA area...so audience could sing with Jin together & that's easier for Jin to peep if needed somehow...hahaha <3<3 And, it would be great if the show could last a bit longer cuz 1 hr is really not enough lol

I loved every second of it! :D It was so much fun, I loved the light effects and the dancers were amazing! There was never a dull moment through the entire concert. And Jin somehow manages to be both a simple, yet brilliant performer! Seasons and Yellow Gold were my favorites! I would definitely go see him again! 8D

I really enjoyed his concert! Being the first live pop concert that I've ever been to, it was unforgettable! I thought it might have been slightly short, but i was still really moved. Sure the waiting wasn't fun, but seeing his emotion and the way that he took off his sunglasses and interacted with the audience was awesome. I recall last time there was no encore, and this time there was!!! Overall, great performance! I'm still listening to the album now, as I'm typing this up! :)

It was amazing, but there were things that left me wanting. The opening acts were great. It was Emmalyn Estrada and Joseph Vincent, both popular YouTube cover artists. There was quite a bit of down time between acts. But as soon as the opening beats of "Sun Burns Down" started to play, everyone stood up and started screaming. Best experience of my life. His songs were well executed and well choreographed. He interacted with the crowd, but I kind of wish he had interacted a bit more. It would have made the performance even better. But just being able to be that close to a performer you thought you would possibly never get to see, because he's a Japanese artist and they simply don't perform over here enough to make it plausible to see all who you would like to without traveling to Japan.

This concert was so much fun. From the artist to the set production to the fans, everything was amazing. Jin got his entire audience to dance and sing along with him and his dancers. His music is fun and enjoyable. I hope Akanishi-san will come back again sometime soon so I can have another unforgettable experience. Thank you!

The most part really drive me excited which is the speical guest Joseph Vincent. He is amazing songweiter nd singer tho. Even though i get seat in the show but i stand up since the show started. His song is pretty awesome nd really worth to see the show.

Awesome show! Rare opportunity to see Jin's show so close! Last song, Seasons, so memorable. Wished the show would continue...bit longer...maybe all night long. One Huge complaint against Club Nokia. I was in VIP section. The elevator broke! So, after the show, we, including all the ladies on heels, had to take the STAIRS! FIVE floors down! We were VERY upset by the time we got to the ground level.

I LOVE JIN!!! However, I thought this show was kind of too short.(about 1hr but 15min break) I have attended his previous concert here in Nokia but he had never done encore, but this one he DID it! I was so happy to hear that Japanese song in this concert. So, overall it was wonderful but wish that the concert was little bit longer...

I love Jin, and I always am glad whenever he has a concert here in the U.S. Unfortunately, this concert was not as memorable as Yellow Gold. (I know, I am going to be raked over the coals on this review, but I have to be pretty up front about this)... Let's start off with the basics: The opening act had a very charming and charismatic singer, with very impressive vocal skills. He engaged the audience, had people sing along with popular songs, and played guitar. He even had a girl come up on stage and serenaded her. It is pretty sad that the opening act's singing upstaged the main act for me. Leading up to the performance, Jin's webisodes played on the screens, and it seemed like the overall atmosphere was building up to something great. The cameras were set up, the crowd was rather large, and you could see the lights being tested. I was expecting a rather impressive set, just like Yellow Gold. I was surprised that the stage was rather simplistic, no impressive effects except for strobe lighting, and a handful of dancers. He did do some choreography, but he lacked a certain energy as he had in his previous tours. Also, it was quite obvious he was lip syncing (yes, many singers do this, especially with dancing groups, and considering English is his second language, but I felt like he *has* done better; it was quite like he didn't even bother). I enjoyed seeing him and listening to the dance music, and the dancers were doing a great job keeping up and dancing to the different songs going on. I hated the choreography for the ballad where the two dancers were pretty much having sex on the stage. Uh, totally unnecessary. For the most part, the performance was pretty average. I understand that he is doing this with the backing of the American label, and probably had to make some cut backs as compared to the impressive sets that the Japanese agency probably allowed him to have, but I would have hoped for the ticket price he would have at least made an effort to even be energetic and engage the audience more. He did talk a little bit, with a little bit of banter with the rapper, but other than that, it seemed a bit unplanned and haphazard, especially when it came down to the last song, it seemed like he forgot until the last minute to introduce to the audience who his dancers were and his entourage. I think with the cost of the tickets, they could have at least included more of his old songs, not just Yellow Gold and his ballad, but a few more hits from previous tours, and maybe even new material, not just from the CD. I'm not sure about others, but seriously, for a quite short show (including a 15 minute intermission), the value did not seem to match up for me. (especially knowing he bought a new car with money he has. hMmmMm). Well, hope more tours will come and that this is just a jumping off point to improve :).

Had alot of fun. Good job with the new album! Wish the concert was longer though. Jin should interact more with his fans. Next time, don't have standing tickets. I preferred assigned seating like they did at his You & Jin concert.

Jin was amazing in concert! He is such a great singer anyway, but when he puts together a show, he's extra fantastic! Plus it's so awesome to see him up close, see his facial expressions, call out to him, etc. We wouldn't have this opportunity in other parts of the world to see him so intimately. I feel privileged to have been able to see him at Club Nokia. The Japonicana CD has so many great dance tracks that the concert really felt like a big party. Thank you JIn!

I was a huge fan of him before but the concert was terrible. He didn't even try to make any effort. He sang for 15 minutes and then took a 30 minute break. It was obvious he wasn't even trying. I wasted my money.

omg what a great concert!! I saw him in Chicago and had a blast. He had amazing choreography, amazing dancers, amazing songs and an outstanding voice. It made you feel like you are at an awesome party with him and wanted to dance all night long.

The show started right on time-I was slightly late(I could hear the show start but didn't get seated until the opening acts were on). I also attended the June LA concerts so I already knew what to expect-the show didn't change all that much. Even when Jin was still with KAT-TUN he wasn't my favorite but after going to his first LA shows and enjoying it I decided to go again. He did add a few songs like body talk-a slow R&B song that I really liked and maybe 1 or two others. My fav songs were Yellow gold and MP3 but Christmas morning, INP and A page were also noteworthy. I hated Hey Girl and Paparats the first time I heard him perform it and I STILL DO! I was kind of disappointed in that nothing really changed from the LA concerts in June-In fact some good parts were taken out such as the bar scene(I understand why it was taken out but it was a fun part of his first concerts). Jin showed off his english skills and seemed more connected with the crowd compared to his first concert. In june he seemed cold and standoffish but this time he smiled at the crowd and looked at the people in the balcony and finally took of his fendora for a song or two. Overall it was a good concert and perhaps he got over his nervousness?? from the first concert and was able to connect with the audience. (But I'm so jealous of the people who attended the NY concert- they got an encore performance!)

This was only my second concert and it was phenomenal. Jin's such a talented, handsome and amazing artist.

It's very exciting stage!!!!! Jin's parformance is amazing. but my seat was too far from stage;) so if he came back this stage, I'll get more high seat.

The Best Buy Theater was well-organized. They respected our committment. We did meet all of the security, and they did a good job maintaining the line and preventing a bum-rush. The theater was well-aired and the setup allowed everyone to see the stage easily. Most importantly, however, was how amazing Akanishi Jin and his dancers were. Seeing him was a once-in-a-livetime experience, and the graphics, lights, costume choices, routines, mix of original songs and dances, made it a party, not just a concert! Jin's voice is breathtaking, his dance skills are superb, and he really knows how to engage his audience -- he had us all doing the same dance moves together. :)

I joined this event from Japan. Because I love him and I wanted to enjoy his live performance in NY. His voice was more beautiful and sweet than his past show in Japan. Also his danse was more amazing and sexy than his past show in Japan. I'm so happy to enjoy this show. If next chance would be, I will go to U.S.A to enjoy Jin's song and dance!!

Why he came here all the way from Japan ? His Japanese song was good, but I couldn't understand his English.

this guy is great. really charming; really knows how to put on a show. plus, his dancers and guest acts are the shit--joey tee, dominic, aubree, they are all awesome. you've got to see a jin show at least once. seriously.

Don't know what to say....Jin was extraordinary and so amazing!!!! I was into him for over 3 years and this was the first time I saw him at live! I've never thought I could see him performing in US. It's like a long-lasting dream came true. At the moment he stood on the stage i burst into tears.....God i LOVE him!!!! The live was rich in content, sexy dance, perfect voice and songs. I will never forget this live and I believe i'll love him to death after seeing this Yellow Gold Tour!!!!><

I really loved this concert, I had gone to the 'You and Jin' concert but I felt there wasnt enough Jin in that one it seemed the title should of been 'You, Everyone else and then Jin' but all in all I loved it, and this Yellow Gold Tour even though it was mostly the same as before I loved it even more Jin did an amazing job and all the other dancers were amazing too! Im really happy I went to this concert and I thank everyone who made it possible for me to see one of my favorite singers of all time Jin + Kat tun are the only ones who I will ever listen to no song / group compares !!! I love You Jin I will forever be a fan no matter what you choose to do with your career I will follow thank you for coming to LA and allowing me to see you perform it has been my one dream in life

Great show. Best I've seen yet. Had a variety of performances and kept me entertained throughout the entire night. It was worth the money.

Jin has it all! Looks, charm, and major talent. He produced a gorgeous show. It could have been longer, but the hour and a half he was on stage, were exciting and futuristically electrifying. Anyone who likes to party will enjoy a show by Akanishi. This man is a party genius. But the whole show wasn't party, his ballads were lovely and heart felt, and have you singing soulfully along. And his songs 'A Page' and 'Papparats', which talk about his repression, are passionate and moving. I would pay $200 to see this again!

I was a little nervous, thinking that I was not going to understand a word he says but I still love his music. Then, when he started playing, I was like... WOW! This show was one of the best ones I have ever been to and that it was one of the happiest times of my life. I really hope he decides to do another show in Los Angeles someday, because if he does, you can bet your ass I am Gonna be there!

Unbelievable! I seriously loved this concert! Admittedly, the price for the GA section was too overpriced. $120 just to stand for 2 hours, regardless of how close I got to be to him? Too much. But the opportunity presented by the spot was AMAZING. I was center front of the standing area with a pretty clear view of Jin Akanishi, and the spot proved amazing, time and time again when he would return to the center to perform. It got me as close as 10 feet away from him! Overall, the performance was outstanding; sound was great and everything on stage was pretty visible. Although the crowd was a little too pushy, which is somewhat to be expected of a standing area. But I hope Jin Akanishi will return here again. I'd definitely go, and I'd definitely recommend him to others!

Jin Akanishi's second tour was an amazing experience! He released 3 new songs since the You and Jin Tour, and none of them disappointed. The dance group did a great job with choreography, and certain parts reminded me of Johnny's Entertainment-style performances. The only negative I can think of, was the fact that there was a little too little of Jin talking to the audience. But other than that, it was a great experience.

I came SFO from South East Asia with expectation very much. Howeve, unfortunately, his performance was not so good. Cz, Too much effect, unnessesary women dancer and Japanese culture show, I don't understand what he wants to do, what he wants to show us. Songs? Dancers? or wants to tell us Japanese culture? But, he is a talented man I think, so I'm wishing I would see him next stage in US with improving performance. Anyway, I would like to say thank you to give us a chance to see his live!!

I went to Jin's LA concert in June. However, I think the San Francisco's concert is much better. I had a wonderful time. I wish he will continue to be success in the future.

Terrific! Everything was amazing: lights, audio, stage design, concept, and Jin especially. Too bad that I cannot make it to Club Nokia this time, I went there on June 20 and had the best time in my life.

Overall, the concert was wroth it. Music was good, dancing was good. Two thumbs up. i would recommend the event to all, even if you're not a fan. I went with friends who are big fan of Jin and i am not much of a fan of his but i had a great time. The only weak point in the concert was that they artist did not give as much attention and love to the top floor, so i recommend the ground floor for fans. The view is great from higher up but the artists did not seems to give equal attention to the top floor as they did the ground floor.

It was my dream to see a Johnny's concert in person and Jin Akanishi helped me to do that. it was an amazing concert and the people who attended were awesome. the dancers were friendly and Jin aknishi is definitely worth seeing again. If i could afford it, I would see him every time he came to the United States. The show was very well done and Jin himself was a blast to watch. I hope more Johnny's and Associates groups come to America in the future.

Actually, I'm a fun of Jin Akanishi but not as an idol, as a performance artist, I was really excited to come to San Francisco even only 2 days staying. However, unfortunately, his live was unsphisticated and terrible staging. I have no idea what does he want to do and to give us through the live. I recieved nothing from it, though. Just paying expencive ticket and waste my vacation. He has to know how much infect can he give his funs with his performance. But, most of funs are satisfied that he just show up on the stage. That is the most problem.... But, he is still young enough to return to the US tour with more good performance, I believe.

Akanishi was just amazing...such charisma! And he seemed honestly happy to be there, which made me even more happy to be able to see him during his first show in San Francisco! The venue was small and intimate, the energy huge....so amazing! I would have loooooved to hear him sing in Japanese, but his new english songs (and the older ones) were so fun and dancable and I can't get them out of my head. He really pulled it off!
