Charlotte Motor Speedway Events

I absolutely enjoyed the venue. The pre-race activities and entertainment were amazing! The race was good too. ;) I would definitely recommend this track/race to a friend.

My son enjoy the race of course! But they only have 1 big lcd projector in the middle so if you seat by the curve of the stadium so hard to read on that TV , they should have 3of those lcd projectors ,1middle and 1each side!!!!

It was way better then I anticipated - I'm not a nascar fan but love new experiences. It DID live up to the "redneck" reputation but even that was fun. Overall the people were nice and The venue was great - I appreciated being able to take in our own food / beverages and that there was a section reserved for families where no alcohol was allowed. I'd go to another race for sure.

Lowes Motor Speedway has their act together. Coming from Florida and experiencing the mess of Daytona International Speedway, Lowes is a joy. The event was fantastic.

great-made double file restarts a reality and put a real excitement that was not there in past all star races

At the Charlotte Motor Speedway..the one thing I could see that would improve the entire race....the people on the backside of the track cannot see driver introductions as there is no big screen to watch. And as the drivers are coming around the track ya can't see them because the lights are all off. Just two things that could be improved...otherwise...great event...especially since Tony Stewart won!!!!!!!!!

The seats were great. The Race was fun but it would have been better if it did not rain. Getting my tickets through Ticketmaster was wonderful.

The new format this year of 100 laps with the final 10 laps a bang up shoot-out will be hard to beat. This race is the perfect family gathering for the entire family young and old with loads of things to enjoy prior to the race. We sat about 100 yards after the finish line and collected some great action video. If a new race fan is skeptical about attending a race, we highly recommend "The All-Star Race" as their first. It is not just cars going in circles, it is a full team of 10 athletes per team that wins the race. The cars are the safest ever in Nascar history yet we agree with many, that "at 180+ mph inches apart in the turns, it takes not only a good driver, yet a very alert mindset that makes these drivers The Last Gladiators.

I had a great time, a little bad weather but by the time the race started the rain was gone. I will try to go next year

Pit passes are a waste of money. All you do is walk down concrete and look at the same thing you see on T.V. There were no drivers or pit crew to talk to. You couldn t see cars or nothing. You would have a better time walking through home depots tool aisle.

It was a good race. Drivers were passing, wearing out tires and pushing those cars.

Was a great race. Glad Nascar took the idea of double file restarts from this race. Has made the racing better. As always the people at Lowes were fantastic.

We go every year to this race because we have small kids that want to go but cant make it through a four hour race without driving me crazy. Perfect for a first time race experience or if you love seeing cars torn up because there are no points involved.

Thanks to Ticketmaster, we got the best seats we have ever had at the All Star Race! We have been attending stock car races for many years but this year was the most fun we have had at a race! I recommend that everyone use Ticketmaster to purchase their tickets!

not much to say but best and hardest racing that i have been to if you can go to a all-star race

We had a great time. We sat in turn 4 on the 5th row. I even took my 5 year old. We had such a great time and especially with the shootout on the final 10 laps. I will be going for years to come. Oh but make sure you bring in your own food. 21 bucks for a medium pizza is unreal.

I was really pleased with how everything went. We had a great time and enjoyed getting to sit right in front of my favorite drivers pit. I hope to go to the Bank of America race in October.

The All-Star Race at Lowe's Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 16, 2009 was great! It was our first time to see the All-Star Race. And as Jeff Gordon Fans we loved it until right at the end when he wrecked. The weather, the qualifying race, all of the events, and the All-Star Race were all Great Fun!! (unlike the following weekend at Lowe's where the Coca-Cola 600 was rained out two days in a row!!!)

All star race is awesome!!! If your a race fan this race is the race to go to!

As a Nascar fan, going to any race is the ultimate experience but races at Lowes Motorspeedway are ones that I would recommend to go anyone to see. The All Star is the perfect race for someone new to the Nascar scene to get his/her feet wet, even though it is shorter than most races it's still action packed.

I got GREAT tickets to the NASCAR All-Star Race!! This event was an all day affair with all of the pre-race activities.

Wow-what an event. This is a must-see for any Nascar Fan, and a should see for anyone that thinks Nascar is just cars going around in circles. Due to the economy, we chose the cheapest seats at Lowes Motor Speedway (turn 2), and they turned out to be the best seats ever. We were almost sitting on top of the track and looking right down on the cars. And, we could still see the whole track. As always, Nascar fans are the best. Whether their favorite driver is the same as yours, or their arch rivals, there is always good banter to be had.

This was my first Nascar race and it was a blast. The sound of those engines when they went by us was like music to my ears.

My first trip to Lowes and the ALLSTAR race, it will not be my last. Everyone had a BLAST! Brought along some family members for their first NASCAR experience and now they are hooked. The Family Pack in the Diamond Tower was a great deal and the seats were so much better than I could have imagined! Thanks Ticketmaster for the quick and easy ticket sales transaction and delivery. Looking forward to next year's ALL STAR race at Lowes.

Although we were relegated to the back stretch (because we bought the promotional tickets), we enjoyed a good race.

This was the first nascar race I have ever seen in person. This was the most fun vacation I have ever had. Can't wait to do it again. It was a great time for me and my son whom is 16 it was his first vacation ever.

Well run, great venue. It was so easy to get to our seats; the fanfest area was terrific as compared to other NASCAR tracks .

Excellent race and excellent Speedway! Will definitely try to go again next year! Night races are the absolute BEST!!

The qualifying was the best, watching drivers miss the pit and have to back up. Tony Stewart even broke his transmission. The race was wonderful, great passing and restarts. Wrecks by my not so favorite drivers.

Great race. Great venue. Leaving the parking lot after the race was a drag (took over an hour) but the race was great.

I took my family of four for the 12 year-old's birthday. We had a wonderful time. We'd been to a few races before, but had always had infield seats. This was our first experience in the stands. Because of the kids' ages (12 and 9), we opted for the Family Section--no alcohol. It was perfect for us. There were no drunks, no foul language, and the whole environment was pretty chill. The race itself was fantastic and it was easy for us to find parking, even though we arrived only an hour or so before the green flag dropped. The raceway is great and our seats were easy to locate.

I have to say that I had the best time ever and it something I have always dreamed about going to. It was more then what I expected.

This was my first time to Lowe's Motor Speedway and I enjoyed every minute, except for the time it took us to get out of the parking lot.....lol But I think that is pretty normal. The facility was great and easy to find our way around.

Had a great time! Loved it. May need more speakers or louder speakers for announcing.

First time I have ever been to a race---surprised my Nascar-loving husband with tickets for his 50th b.day...not knowing about the track either, just picked tix...Luck or what-had the MOST awesome seats---FRONT ROW!!! Saw every car, every wreck and even got debris from the track on us...lol.....What an experience!!!!!!!!!

The pre-race honoring our service men and women was AMAZING!! My seats allowed me to view the whole track and have a fabulous experience.

The Memorial Day celebrations were very well done. I especially enjoyed the older-model planes flying over and the parachute's with American flags.

I am not a NASCAR fan but my wife and father in law are and this was an amazing experience. Our seats were incredible front row, you can smell the cars, feel the wind and have your whole body rumble and get your adrenaline going. This will definitely be an every year experience for me and my family

The seats were great. right over the start / finish line. All the pre-race activities were entertaining as usual. Perfect weather for racing. Only complaint is that the price of NASCAR tickets is getting out of reach for the average person. They better take notice of the increasing number of empty seats at every track before they price themselves out of existence.

This was our third visit to a NASCAR race. We've been to Daytona, Loudon and Charlotte. The best is Charlotte. We were amazed. It was so clean and the staff was very courteous and helpful. We will definitely return next year. We were insulted at Loudon and just overwhelmed at Daytona. The vendors were friendly and not pushy to sell. My only regret is that we did not have Pit Passes. Our only problem was parking. There are no real clear directions for where public parking is located.

I've been going to Charlotte Motor Speedway since I was 3 years old. They never disappoint, CMS has always brought a lot of fun events for people of all ages. I recommended CMS to almost 30 friends already and they love it too. I love traveling to the track, it makes it more fun for the road trip. Tailgating and walking down souvenir alley its just a blast for me and my group. We come to the May and October races, lets don't forget we travel to driver appearances around the Concord area. Even though we live in Monroe, we think of it as a mission for us fans to take part in the fun things during the race weekends. We love CMS, and I know they love us too!

Had a blast at the Coca Cola 600! Honoring the military was a great way to spend the day. We were there 10 hours and were entertained the whole time. Plan on going back. Great job guys!

The fan behavior, the alcohol abuse, the poor security to corral this. We spent as much time watching out for flying beer cans as the race. Some behind us were trying to get as close to people and not hit??? People working there in orange suits sent us way out of our way to find our seats and then others didn;t know either. We love the races. People that can't OBVIOUSLY walk a straight line need to be sit down, either stay sit down or removed.

The race and the recognition of our military was awesome! The only problem was the TV camera cable snapping and damaging cars and injuring a few people. Going forward safeguards to protect fans from that sort of thing are imperative.

Great Seats for the $$$$. Beautiful speedway! Lots of drivers interacting before hand. Beautiful weather!

Point 1: The smoking in the stands is ridiculous. The guy sitting next to us smoked at least 2 packs of cigarette while we sat there. I thought this was a no-smoking stadium. If you were lucky enough to sit next to an usher or security person, they would ask them to put out the cigarettes but if you're anywhere else... Nope. Point 2: Bottom Line. The first 300 laps were so boring my group almost decided to go home. But finally in the last 100, all the wrecks started happening so I'm glad we stayed. I'm sorry, but people don't go to the live races to watch cars go around a track. They want to see wrecks. If you don't believe me, then why do all of the highlight reels only include the wrecks? I actually think that I dozed off for a while. There need to be obstacles that pop up on the track that the drivers have to dodge if no wrecks happen for more than 50 miles. It would make things exciting to watch.

Great race, people working at the speedway were helpful. great enviroment for me to bring my 4&5 yr old to there 1st race.great time, great memories.

It was great and we took a friend that has never been a Nascar race, we have been to several Nascar races. But, we never been to a All-Star race and it was fantastic and our friend really enjoyed it as much as we do.

Extremely disappointed for the 3rd race in a row at Charlotte. Attended last years All-Star race, the fall race and the 2013 All-Star race. The racing at all three events was uneventful. They described the latest All-Star race as "The Greatest All-Star Event in Sports", which I highly disagree with. I have been going to both Charlotte and Martinsville on and off for the past 5-6 years, but I highly doubt I return to Charlotte until the racing improves. It also took me over 1.5 hours to leave the track due to the SHP directing flow only one way and blocking access to other routes. I believe CMS could learn a lesson from Martinsville.

We had a great time this it's my favorite race, I just wich we would have a better wheatear for the event, but I'm ready for next year

Waste of time and money. Charlotte Motor Speedway is not conducive to stop and go racing. Save your money, stay at home, watch it on TV. That way you can flip the channel.

Being my first time going to charlotte motor speedway it was an amazing experience,the weather cooperated for the most part and the southern hospitality was awesome,looking forward to maybe doing this again next year.

The dirt track at Charlotte really gets it right with this event. Awesome race course unlike any other monster truck race around. The entire track is utilized, and the jumps are big! The atmosphere is very good at Charlotte as this event is typically sold out with 25,000+ fans. The pre race pit party is great for the kids, as they have tons of inflatables and games. Good food and drink options. All in all is tons of fun and priced right. My kids and I look for are to next years event.

Passing seemed hard to accomplish. I've heard drivers say the race during the day would allow for better passing than at night. Overall it was a good race and race cars are always fun to watch!

We got to our seats and realized that it was not just a row of seats but an access point for all 25 rows below ours to gain access and immediately people were making us get up to get by us. A Guest Services person named Daphne said the seats should not have been sold and we couldn't sit there. We were told to sit one row back until those ticket holders arrived. We sat down 3 hrs before the green flag and it took all that time until we finally had seats we could use. We were offered nearby mid-row but we had end row and front row where we paid to be so we hoped for something better. After being without seats for all of the opening ceremonies and pre-race commands, we were asked to please accept an upgrade to the Ford section but we had to rush all the way to the other end of the facility. We were in our seats just in time to see the green flag start. There was an evacuation red flag rain delay for 1 hr 40 mins. Then, since the race went until after midnight, we walked to the exit with 10 laps to go to get a jump on our scanner return and beat some of the traffic out. For me, going to a Coca-Cola 600 was a must do at least once but it wasn't the best experience for many reasons. Our view in the Ford New Veranda was great but we'd never buy those seats. I think the Guest Services did their job well and what they did for us was very appropriate.

The race was so much more exciting in the stands than on TV!

What's not to love about fast cars and honoring those that sacrificed so very much for our freedoms?

The track was great! All attendants were very pleasant and willing to answer any questions. The parking was not as good as some tracks. They advertised free parking but we arrived about 3 hours before the race and the free lot was full. We had to pay $20.00 for parking and $10.00 for a shuttle bus to stadium. The race went long and the shuttle was not running. We had to walk about a mile in the dark back to our car. I would recommend this event but were conformable shoes. Lynyrd Skynyrd preformed before the race for over an hour.

Fan Zone was great and the race unforgettable. I would recommend to everyone!!

Had tickets to AllStar Race in Charlotte!! All I can say is FANTASTIC! There were a ton of people there and our seats could not have been any better... Great fun with great friends, that had NEVER attended a NASCAR race in person.. We all four were taken back by our experience. Our parking was approx 3/4 mile from track and our seats were very front row in TURN 4... I would repeat this experience again in a heartbeat! Once the sun rested behind the track and it was not beating down on us; the track came alive... Well over 100 laps with 8 stages (2 races) and not one wreck! Cars were blowing past us at 189 MPH... If you have never been; I would absolutely push anyone to take the plunge... The last race I attended; smoking was still allowed in the stands; but not the case this year; and it was so nice and clean! The only thing that separated us from the physical track was about 50 Ft of dead space and an a steel cable fencing track cage.. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT EVENT AND SEATS! Can't imagine our seats being any better! We left the stadium and has to "brush off' because of specks of rubber being deposited on our clothing, we were so close to track...

I liked that they weren't long races. I didn't go last year, so I can't compare, but the new concept seemed to work well. The pre-race swag was great, and we plan on going back next year!

Although we missed the Justin Moore concert due to a misunderstanding with timing issue told when purchased tickets, and the Golden Tickets email confirmation, we enjoyed the race and the staff at Charlotte went above and beyond to accommodate us after driving 4 hours and plenty of time to waste until the race began :-)

Great seat, right start finish line. In the shade. Under the second level.

My seats were near the bottom of the stands right at the exit of pitroad. Even so, I could still see most of the track. The large screen on the backstretch was great as well. No complaints.

This was the 1st race I have been to. It was AWESOME. Love all the action. Charlotte speedway is very nice. Will be back.

My first race an it was awesome!!!! My new husband n I came to the race for our honeymoon, which was great n to top it off my driver won.

This was an outstanding event. The track was one of the nicest I have seen with almost full visibility of the entire track when higher up in the grandstands. The one thing they absolutely need to improve is first, stop blasting music too loud through crappy PA speakers. Second, invest in a better sound system so you can actually hear what the announcers are saying. My suggestion would be to put the speakers at the top of the grandstands facing down. Quality speakers are cheap these days so its not a big investment. Anyway, will come again if they continue to host this here in Charlotte. Perhaps they will make an AMA track for the regular race season.

The pit party before the show was great and affordable. The trucks put on a great show the whole time. This is a great family event, we will definitely going back.

Outstanding experience this year as we brought along two first time fans!

It was enjoyable to walk the pits and the track. We saw Lee Brice and wasn't too bad. The Veranda section was ok but not any different than regular seating. But all in all was a good experience.

Excellent race! Seats were amazing as we were right up front and as close to the actions you could get. The sights and sounds of NASCAR along with lots of rubber coming off those tires really made this race come alive. With a scanner and the help of the big screen, we didn't miss a beat when the actual race went out of view. The fans were great, the seats were inexpensive, and the venue was the best in NASCAR. My son and I had a fantastic time and we will be sure to return again.

I recently attended the Hisense 300 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. There aren't enough words I can say that would describe how it was. The sounds at the speedway were unreal! I would recommend to everyone to go see the next Hisense 300 race that is held there.

Just attend... You wont be disappointed. Good seats, cheap tickets, awesome show, facilities nice.

Great time at the Sprint All Star Race! The rules were a little eh, but the racing action was awesome!

This is a great track and the racing was close all night. The All-Star experience is a plus as the night doesn't really drag out since it's an abbreviated race. I've been to Pocono, Dover, and Watkins Glenn and this is the quickest track with the best racing that I've seen. I'm already looking forward to coming back to Charlotte next year.

My first time to the speedway. New to the Charlotte area. My son and I came to the Coca-Cola 600. Very nice facility. Clean and easy to move around. We had great seats. I think any seat would be good. Pre race ceremony was touching on Memorial Day. We arrived at 3:15pm. And our seats were in the shade by 3:30pm. The race was awesome. My son's first Nascar experience. I will come again. October sounds good to me. I was a little worried about how long it would take to get out after the race. Believe you me, they have this down to a science. I live 25 min from the track towards uptown. I was home in 1 hour from the time I left my seat. See you at the October race.....

Our seats in Chrysler sect. A, row 39 were perfect. View around entire speedway was unimpaired. By 2:30 or 3:00 we were in the shade. The race itself was not as exciting as I had hoped but that happens in racing. Charlotte isn't my favorite track but it is convenient, so I went. Food in the venue is terribly over priced. I think it is more expensive than Daytona. Do bring a NASCAR sanctioned cooler and small backpack with plenty of ice, beverages and food or you will spend $5 for a 20 oz bottle of water and $9 for a cheeseburger. An ice cream sandwich is $5. We brought enough food and drinks so that we were good until we got out of Charlotte. If you can, park so that you can take a right on Hwy. 29 and go out of the speedway area until you can exit onto the interstate. Going out on B. Smith Blvd. can be a big pain.

Love love love the race. But, as a new fan I couldn't tell who the drivers were in which cars. The leaderboard didn't show the picture with the matching car. The leaderboard did it before the race-not during. This was my first time ever. So, I had to quickly Google the car number to match the car with the driver and ask other attendees. That was annoying. Overall, I'll definitely be attending another race...I just hope the speedways consider matching names/faces with car numbers during the race. It would be helpful!

We waited in line from 8:06 until about 12:00 for the speedway christmas event. The lights were not that impressive, a lot of them weren't even turned on! There wasn't any food or drinks available. We were very disappointed, I will not make the mistake of going to the Speedway Christmas event ever again. We spent approximately 7 hours tonight trying to get through this traffic nightmare.

You never know what type of race it going to be. it was average racing in the beginning and the last 100 laps got better racing. SO if you are a NASCAR fan I least check out the track at least once. Like I did. It is a hit or miss but worth seeing

Another great race at Charlotte, drove in the back of the track, the dark sky opened up to blue sky and sunshine, tailgaters got back to tailgating and everyone was happy happy. Great seats in Chrysler Section I row 30, the entire row was empty except for our two seats and a few on the right side. Great fans all around us, 88 as well as several others and we were all good.

We bought tickets at the last minute and had them waiting at will call. Worked great and our seats were exactly what I expected. Had a great time at the race and I would highly recommend buying the cheap seats along the front stretch. You can see everything just fine and are up close during driver introductions etc. Just 2 rows behind me the seats were more than double the cost and you couldn't see any better at all. Now that's what I call a rip off.

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Charlotte Motor Speedway to see the Top Gear Nationwide Race. I enjoyed seeing the future of Nascar Sprint Cup Series drivers go up against the "Pro" drivers of the Sprint Cup Series. My first trip to CMS and I was thoroughtly impressed the the facility. Especially free parking so close in to the race track.

This was my first NASCAR experience in person and oh my gosh... it was the most exciting sporting event I have ever been to! The sounds, the smells, the speed... I am such a competitive person and all of these things just got my adrenaline going! The moment they started their engines and made the first lap around the track, I got chills... I can't wait to experience a race where all 40 some cars are on the track. I'm sure it's all the more intense!

The sight/sound/smell was impressive to experience in person. While I'm personally not a NASCAR fan, it was still an impressive event. It was obvious that the entire race and show was for the fans.

I'm not one to watch racing on television but as a gift to my grandfather I took him to mine and his first nascar race. It was awesome! People kept telling us that the traffic was going to be bad but that was far from the case. We were able to pull right in with the staff directing us and were able to leave within 15-30 minutes at the end with staff directing us again. Not to bad with that many people there. Inside the facility was nice but would recommend some seating around the vendors and concession stands. We sat in the family section and it was very nice as the seats had backs and since it was the family section the stand was not crowded. The biggest complaint I had with the entire event was the speakers that surround the track. They were too loud and kept playing the same music over and over and when someone talked with a higher voice such as a woman or singer it was ear piercing. Over all I would go again. Great fun, good food, and good times.

Okay: Charlotte Motor Speedway, NASCAR's elite drivers, smoke & tires, side-by-side metal grinding at almost 200mph, celebrities, Dierks Bentley, and the biggest HDTV in the world! Need I say more?

I work for The Boeing Company out of Everett Washington training at the South Carolina plant. We decided to take the drive up to see the race. I got to tell you folks down here. What a great facility you have in Concord, NC. We had the time of our life. Very orginized from traffic, to vendors. We really enjoyed the debut of the HDTV screen. That will make the rest of the racing world very jelious. You have the best of the best. We hope to be able to make another race before we go back to the northwest, where there is no racing. Hats off to everyone at the track. thanks a bunch.

Good Race. Video screen was great. The driver position stats should use a larger font. Sound was terrible. Sub woofers before start of race was all you could hear. Later what was subpposed to be music I guess was so bad you could not even tell what instrument was making the noise. Thank goodness for ear plugs. The audio broadcast on the FM band (101.5Mhz) did not work where we were. Even in past races it has not worked or was very poor reception. This was the case on 3 different receivers we have. Best to stay at home and watch it on TV because of the sound and lack of the broadcast on the FM band. .

The speakers aimed at the upper levels of Ford were horrendous. The audio had feedback and overmodulation most of the time. For what these seats cost, that was a problem. The view is incredible and the event was great, but unless the speakers were drowned out by the cars, it was unbearable.

Race was great! Really cool to see Junior get to race, and we are going to come back next year!! Great seats, family had fun!!

THIS WAS ONE OF MY BEST EVENTS I HAVE ATTENDED AND I LOVE COMING TO CHARLOTTE AND WATCHING THE CHASE RACE THERE. ITS GREAT THAT THE HALL OF FAME IS SO CLOSE TO THE TRACK! I LOVED IT ALSO!
