Bombay Bicycle Club

Bombay Bicycle Club

BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB IN CONCERT:British indie rockers Bombay Bicycle Club had no idea they were going to last when they named themselves after an Indian restaurant chain in 2005. Nine years later, the band released their fourth studio album, 2014's So Long, See You Tomorrow — a merciful end to the three-year waiting period their fans have had to endure since 2011's A Different Kind of Fix. Following a home turf British tour in early 2014, the band will treat North American fans to their intricately layered live show, including a highly anticipated appearance at Coachella.BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:Fronted by Jack Steadman on vocals, the members of Bombay Bicycle Club began playing music together at age 15, enjoying several incarnations before eventually naming themselves Bombay Bicycle Club.

BBC was on fire at the Masquerade. They played many of the popular songs from the last two studio albums and a good bit from "I had the Blues, but I shook them loose". The atmosphere was incredible. The only complaint I have is with the venue. BBC played at the top largest level of this historic venue in Atlanta called Heaven, but you could hear the bass from another band coming through the floor during the ballads, which made it difficult to hear. That's the Masquerade's fault though, awesome show!

Extremely great band. When they took stage, I was expecting Jack Steadman's soft voice to put me in a dreamy state but upon entering on stage, they exceeded my expectations! Their airy but lively sound made the atmosphere both calming and a place where you could get down. The set list was perfectly orchestrated together with songs that were perfectly balanced as it progressed from dancey pop tracks like "Home by Now" to more evocative sounds like "Eyes off You". Overall, the night was just amazing. They hit every single feeling I could feel and I was won over by their beautiful sounds and inherent charisma. Ending the night with "Carry Me" as the encore, it ended the day with the band headbanging and the audience singing the whole way through. Awesome experience. I would see them again. Also, Ed Nash is the man!!

I had seen them before at a different venue (Terminal 5). The Music Hall of Williamsburg was smaller and more intimate, and Bombay sounded better. Also, one of their openers, Lucy Rose, was really good. I would definitely recommend checking her out.

The Bombay Bicycle Club was way better than I could have imagined. They were really into their show. They came back and played two more songs. Just awesome. The venue (The Basement) was awful. The sound was bad along with the stage setup. Hopefully, Bombay's next stint through the states will involve a different venue should they play in Columbus again.

Bombay played an amazing show and Lucy Rose opened it very nicely. But the second opening act was not something to be remembered, although I might have given them more thought if it hadn't already been 1.75 hours since doors opened...much too long of an opening wait!

BBC put on an amazing show! They have spunk and energy and you will leave the show fully satisfied. They pulled from a good mixture of their old and new songs and definitely had everyone in the venue dancing along. They played to a full house and I can't wait to see them each time they come to Los Angeles. A must see!

A real treat to see this up and coming British band here in NY. They've been around for a few years now, but this was their first trip to the USA and worth waiting for. Probably due to the fact that they were still in high school until a couple of years ago! They played songs from their first album "I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose" and really impressed with their delivery and stage presence. A very mature performance, but full of energy and all great songs. These guys are going places. Would see them a gain in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, the live sound of Bombay bicycle club has nothing to do with the recorded album sound. They couldn't reach in the concert any quality or interest that I thought I listened in the album. The sound was poor, not worked at all, I just could listen the loud drums. Cheap sound, all the songs seamed to be the same one. They tried to give opwer to all the songs but it was just loud noise. We stayed almost until the end to see if there was any improvement, but not at all. Big disappointment with this group. Not recommend at all.

Bombay bicycle club performed at the music venue terminal 5. The venue is great, it's very spacey and has a nice stage with awesome lighting. The place feels good with a fun atmosphere. The employees their are friendly and work quickly. Bombay toured with milo Greene and Luxley. They swoon you off your feet and make you dance and sing along. They really know how to put on a show. I've seen them every single time they have performed in NYC. They know how to mellow you down and zone you out and then BAM, they could have you rocking out. Jack Steadman gets so lost in his music when he sings and when he hears the crowd sing along, he has the biggest smile on his face. I def recommend every person I know, to go to one of their concerts. When they come down to NYC, their shows always sell out and quick and it's an obvious reason why, it's because they're so great.

The way Bombay Bicycle Club's music translates live is great. They chose an appropriate set list that was both a crowd pleaser and also showcased some of their lesser known songs. The majority of the set was off the new album, with a few songs from their first album and one or two from A Different Kind of Fix. The sound was awesome in Webster hall and the crowd was into it. I was happy to be able to hear the vocals really well from almost anywhere in the room. The mix was overall excellent. The band's visuals were well thought out and had a great theme as the set progressed. Great night/performance overall.

I've never seen Bombay Bicycle Club before, and I had no idea what to expect. I expected a lot cause of the quality of each of their albums, and of course they more than exceeded my expectAtions! The SETLIST was incredible, it was of combination of all of their songs from all of their albums. Opening up with "Overdone" was the best possible way to open up a show. The crowd completely lost it and everyone was feeling the choice of music. Bombay Bicycle Club attracts a great crowd, I so many kind people. The vibes that went around the entire night were just good ones. I can easily say they have put on the best performance I've ever seen from any band. I got there an hour and a half early with my girlfriend. After an hour, we got our IDs checked, and everyone got to go inside because it was freezing outside. Ten minutes went by and Jack Steadman walked by and no one was freaking out but me. Five more minutes then we got to move to the stage. The show started a little late, but it was worth the wait. Royal Canoe rocked the venue, and set the stage for Bombay Bicycle Club. Their whole set and show went by without a hitch, and I loved every second of the concert. Bombay was absolutely great live. Although Jack was a little bit sick, he still sounded amazing and got some positive responses from the audience. They haven't released any new albums or anything, so all the songs they performed were the REALLY GOOD tracks from their previous albums. I enjoyed hearing Shuffle, Always Like This, and Lights Out, Words Gone. I came around 20 minutes before the performance and there was a long line already. I managed to get around 5 feet away from the band so I got lucky! This was my first time at the Fonda, and the interior design of the place is deck. There's a bar for those of you who are over 21. The downside of the night for me was the fact that my friends and I waited around 40 minutes for the opening act, The Vacationers to go on. The opening act was really good! It was a chill synthpop/indie band from Philadelphia. I think the lead singer was high, but he got a pretty good crowd. Overall, you got to see Bombay, they're the cutest.

Absolutely incredible. I'd recommend them to anyone who enjoys a powerful array of layers and music that makes people jump or nod to the melody as much as the beat. Wonderful venue, and happy people. The openers had an ambient air about them; great to get the mood going. Jack Steadman (BBC lead vocals) wasn't feeling too well, and had to walk off the stage. Coming back 10 minutes later with bottles of water, he nevertheless kept going, sounding great and letting himself have a great time. An entrancing performance by every member of the band pulled the audience along. I'd only heard a few songs by the band before this concert, but I'm more than glad that I went. I'd definitely see them again if they returned to LA.

This was my third time seeing BBC, and most definitely the most memorable experience I have had in their crowd. They came ready to rock - and definitely amused both newcomers and seasoned fans alike. Their setlist was stacked with old favorites as well as two new songs and the mix kept the show moving along with a steady rhythm- (maybe it was Jack on the drum?) The new songs may suggest hat the band may have a heavier rock album in store for us, and for many BBC fans this is GREAT NEWS!!! These guys (and lady) are a solid group of musicians who have mastered the ability to captivate their audience (the crowd was wild) and left us all wanting more! MORE! MORE!!

They played songs from each of their albums, which are very different, and even played one or their new songs "Carry Me." top shelf show from beginning to end, but be advised: if you're going for the folkiness of their earlier material or the pop-ish agreeability of the last album you might be...overwhelmed. they have loads of energy and go full tilt the whole show; expect a set consisting mainly of a harder/edgier version of 'fix' plus a few older favorites thrown in for good measure, with the guitars and beats turned way up, be prepared to dance all night long, and you will have an amazing time.

Great band to see live. If they come around NYC again soon I will be sure to get tickets.
