Rose Bowl Game

It was a Rose Bowl experience of a lifetime. Great match up. Keep me out of my seat mostly the entire game. I only sat down to catch my breath. Watch a game!!

Best Rose Bowl Game Ever. It was nerve wracking and wonderful at the same time.

Overall, our experience was amazing! It was WAY easier than expected. We've done UCLA games before, & getting to the Rose Bowl early was key! Got in around 7:30am, we were parked in about the 3rd row in our lot on the golf course. Set up shop (tables, chairs, games, etc...) & played games until a few hours before game time. Headed to the stadium & it was great. They actually sold alcohol at the game (surprise to us, they don't do that for UCLA games). We took our time & walked around, found our seats. Overall, I'd HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who's team is playing. It's a great atmosphere & all our friends had a great time.

I have been to over 2300 sporting events but when I walked into the stadium (my 1st time there) I had goosebumps/chills that I only remember experiencing a few times...first trip to Yankee Stadium, first trip to Fenway Park, trip to the Old Boston Garden ...I would say Lambeau Filex rates as high or higher, but growing up in Wisconsin, I have been to over 100 games there so the newness is not there like the others mentioned. Of course, rooting for the Badgers made part of the day a disappointment but the story of a non BCS team winning to stay undefeated is another story worth experiening in itself. There were a few letdowns mostly cosmetic but let me just point them out in case future opportunities arise to possibly adjust these: 1) scoreboard - one thinig,, only in one end zone , meant having to turn atround every play to see the replays amd not even having scoreboard with obvious ino,, down and distamce,, yard line,, etc made it a bit on a negative. having being in teh newer stadiums with all the latest and greatest scoreboards,,,, even the one at the Rose Bowl there was small, compared to what I was expecing in see inthe "grandaddy of them all." 2) I have had end zone seats before so this is no reflection on the fact that my seat was there,,and there is probbaly nothing that can be done about this - unlike the scoreboard issue - but being in row 10, I had a hard time, seeing what exactly yard line the play was ,, stuff liek that, to the point that people around me were turning around and watching the game on the scoreboard..my thinking is..if you are going to pay $150 to watch it on screen? ..staying home would be better alternative of course then you miss the ambiance of it all, and that was the best part for me. The only other issue I had a hard time dealing with was the coming in and going out and I KNOW that traffic is always an issue,,,but I got there at 3:00 AM and asked 4 different people (who let me preface by saying ALL were extremely friendly, helpful.).EXCEPT they all had diffenet info. One guy telling me that general parking was in one lot and when I got there waiting for it to open at 4:00 was asked by a policeman (again very friendly, not used to that from cops out east - to the point that I have an attitude towards police that I probably should not have,, but YOUR policeman were nothing but friendly. So I am not sure if all of your parking attendants had the same info given to them,,, but it was confusing THEN ..at 3:00 AM) .but the worst part was coming OUTof teh stadium,,, no exit strategy whatsoever..people walking crowded (and I know theer were 90,000 plus there,, but have been to games at Michigan, Ohio State, Auburn,, etc with more,,and they were all much easier to manuever ....not the driving part...just the walking back to the car part. It is a disater waiting to happen. All in all... the positive far outweighed the negative but will also say that the negative is enough to keep me from coming again, moreso though for a "been there / done that" type of thing,,,time to move on to the Orage Bowl, Sugar Bowl,, etc.....plus cost,,,$150 for ticket...$40 to park...all in all is more than this government worker can swing ...comared to the Holiday Bowl I went to two days eearlier at half the cost, less hassle,,.....,but no goosebumps....

A great time.......even though the wrong team won. Not a bad seat in the house...a fantastic experience. Now for the negatives......$5 for a small water...$7 for a small beer...no habla ingles. Como se dice?............20 minute lines for the urinal....once you get in...you can't get out. Don't make plans for after the game because it take 1 hour 45 minutes to get out...no parking attendents to direct traffic which created a huge mess. But...we still had a great time.

the game was awesome!!! but as a first time visitor i was unimpressed with not only the parking arrangements for getting in and out, but also the overall crowd management at the stadium was ridiculously inept. the ushers were checking ticket stubs for end zone seats causing massive backups to spill out of the tunnels and fill the main concourse areas. hundreds in line missed kickoff because of this. only one endzone has a replay screen which is about the size of the big screen in my living room. bathrooms were small and a few men's rooms only had stalls for some reason. after the game as the crowd was exiting you couldn't access half the bathrooms in the endzone concourse as they were barricaded by security staff who directed everyone to one bathroom. the exterior perimeter was surrounded by zigzagging chain link fences that created human pileups and caused many fans to pull down and hop over just to get out of a bus line they were funneled in to. great game, corner endzone seats still offered a good view. however the horrible stadium management did nothing to impress as i thought the grandaddy of them all should.

...though we hoped for a different outcome! Best venue going for a football game. Can't wait to see the renovation.

The Rose Bowl Stadium does not feel like it has 94,000 people, but it did. It seems intimate. There were some great introductory events. Unfortunately, University of Wisconsin fans were rambunctious and rowdy, and stood the entire time. Attending the Bowl games, one has to sit in their own school section as everyone appears to support one team or the other.

Cheap seats are sometimes a better value than expensive ones. Not at the Rose Bowl where in cheap(er) seats the view of the game is much poorer and the body room is much less. For the price $150+ would definitely NOT buy again or recommend to anyone.

The Rose Bowl game...regardless of the score...is a treat. But getting thru the gates this year was INCREDIBLY IDIOTIC. The Rose Bowl entry gate lines were HUNDREDS OF FEET LONG. The Rose Bowl security people were complete JERKS. They were rude, dismissive, unapologetic. I paid over $700 for my tickets, and I got treated like cattle.

The rose bowl parade was amazing; however, that's where the fun stopped. We went to the game and the back up at the entrance to the stadium was atrocious. Iowa fans were loud, rude, and obnoxious. Once inside the stadium, I had the unfortunate luck of the draw of being seated behind a very annoying, rude, and underaged intoxicated little girl who would not sit down so people behind her could see the game. I asked her to sit when everyone else was seated and she told me I could just stand (Iowa fan). The game was a blow out and not a lot of fun to watch.

Trying to get into the stadium was a nightmare!!! No organization what so ever. You had 90+ thousand people trying to get into a few gates and it was madness. I thought maybe they could learn from this year and make it a better process next year, but while battling to keep my spot in line as the herd kept pushing forward, I remembered they have been doing this for years.

I would not recommend if Stanford band is in attendance.

I hate giving bad reviews but this event was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a football game. It was painfully obvious that the city and the Rose Bowl was not prepared for a major sporting event. We arrived 3 hours prior to the game and asked several of the city crews and police officers where to grab the shuttle to the stadium, non of them knew, really?? We finally found the shuttles and made it to the stadium in no time at all. We got off the shuttle and tried to find our gate, we asked several of the officials working where to go and they just said to get in the line right here. So we did, and we waited in line for an hour and got to the gate only to be told we could enter through this gate which was C we had to go to our gate which was N.....Seriously... We asked where gate N was, they had no clue they just recommended walking around until we found it. By this point we were already upset as well as several others. We finally found Gate N, with no help from the event help staff, we waited in line for another hour and a half and still were no closer to making it in. We finally got in half way through the first quarter... Great job guys!!! After 102 years you would think you could figure it out. EPIC FAIL!!!

Good venue. Disappointment in halftime performance with Stanford Band and affecting the Rose Bowl environment. Definitely the low light of the game

Fantastic seats to start with....AND LET'S GET REAL....THE DUCKS DOMINATED!!! What a high for Oregon fans in attendance and around the world!

As a Duck fan, this game was the best! Seats were in the end zone but we could see most of the plays.

How could you not like when your team wins. I have been too 3 Rose Bowls and this one was the best.

Watching Oregon play at the Rose Bowl was a dream experience. The venue is awesome, well organized. The hospitality package however was a waste of time and money. Standing 40 minutes in line to get a meal and then just hovering around the area is pathetic. Tailgating can be done for free in the open area.

Although it was the coldest day of the year, it was still a great time. Go Ducks!

This was my first time attending the Rose Bowl. It was an awesome experience and I am so glad I went.....

We bought upgraded tickets which included Prime sports tailgate. I would never do that again. It was hard to get to the location from parking on golf course side of Rose Bowl due to roped off areas.When we arrived there 90 minutes before game time Horrid line(45 minutes at least) to get horrid lunch.. my burger was raw and they ran out of some of the entrees. There were lines everywhere to get anything and it was an "upgrade". a rip off.. I would rather have spent my time elsewhere. Port a potties are considered upgraded toilets?? only choice for drinks was beer.. that price was fair at $5.00 We are Oregon fans and next time I would choose their tailgate which is much better run. the Rose Bowl needs to figure out how to run things smoother. We prepaid for parking at Parsons lot and could never find it due to roads blocked off.. so paid again at Rose Bowl Lot ($80 total to park for the game)

Game of the season - worth every penny spent. Great seat, great view. Perfect way to start the year

Go Ducks best game of the year. Experience of the Rose Bowl with my daughter made it that much better. It was great to watch it live in person and to spank a team and break there 29 game win streak was unbelievable

Walking up to The Granddaddy Of Them All, I got chills! The stadium, the atmosphere, Ooooohh yeah, and THE GAME!! We had nose bleed seats in the video board endzone, and I can now say from experience that they're IS NOT a bad seat in the house. The game was exciting, the fans understood that we were all a part of history, attending the first ever CFP game. The teams didn't disappoint (until well into the 3rd quarter when the route came) and even the post game traffic wasn't bad! It's obvious to me, an avid event goer, that Pasadena and the Rose Bowl know how to do things right! I highly recommend attending ANY event there, we had a blast!

The game and seats were fine. The pre game event by primesport was the worst in terms of 1 hour line for prepaid food that was then limited in choices. Obviously, terrible planning. I would avoid this venue at all costs in the future.

it was a cold crisp day in pasadena but the seats were warm on the sun side... could have hoped for a closer game but you never know how they will be ... the energy was contagious and no one sat except at half time. the pre game hospitality event was a disappointment... should have just eaten inside the rose bowl... too many people with not enough food stations... there were TWO ... so line was over 30 minutes and quality was poor....

Getting in and out of the parking area is not for the faint of heart. If you are not there probably four hours in advance this will not be a pleasant experience. We arrived (got to the entrance) 2 and half hrs in advace and were in our seats 5 mins before kickoff. After doing this 101 times I would expect that they could do this better

This particular seat was horrible. Was forced to stand entire event. Loved the game but no way to see game if you sit here. It is a bench right up against the wall

The bench seating at the Rose Bowl is not spaced out enough to accommodate the size of the average American. We had a row with so many large people that two of us were unable to sit the ENTIRE game!!

Too big an arena to see an event like this. Atmosphere great. Trying to go to two events like this within two weeks too much money. Would not recommend this again.

Leave yourself at least an hour to get inside stadium-security line is absolutely the worst experience in terms of getting through quickly. The security line for meeting the President of the United States is quicker. Rose Bowl-get your stuff together and redesign the gates to make it flow better.

The ticket included a pregame tailgate party with refreshments. Arrived 3 hours before game and 1000's of people were waiting in the restricted area for the free pregame sandwich and drink. Ticket face value to game was $150 and paid another $95 for the tailgate party and shipping. Very disappointed. Seats were good in upper deck as expected. Seats were in Duck's section, they won, and lots of good excitement. Enjoyed that atmosphere. Again, disappointed with the anticipated tailgate party which meant standing in line for hours (for a sandwich & soda?) while all the other event activities going on. First and last $95 sandwich I never got. Will look for a different ticket somewhere else next time.

It's easy to watch at home, but a true sports aficionado should attend at least one Rose Bowl in their lifetime. This was my 4th and they never fail to disappoint. I took my 11 year old son and it was a day full of life-long memories! We arrived by 8:30 AM and left the parking lot around 6 PM that evening. Great tailgate environment and everyone is in a good mood. You can either bring your own food and drinks or purchase from the 'public' tailgate at the South-end of the stadium. Make sure to spend the extra bucks to get into a seat with a back! Makes for a better afternoon watching the game. Don't wait until kick-off to get into the stadium either since the traffic through the tunnels gets heavy! Don't be in a hurry to leave either, it takes some time.

Hands down the best game of the season and also the best New Year's Day I've ever had. The Rose Bowl is something that any college football fan should experience once in their lifetime. To be there for the inaugural semifinal game that ended in a win for the Ducks is something I will never forget.

I hope they don't go to a playoff and ruin the tradition of the Rose Bowl. We had such a great time planning the trip and taking part in all of the events that build the Tournament of Roses into a fantastic week of school spirit and good natured rivalry. One look at the stadium filled with Red and Purple told you that this was a special moment for everyone. Who can remember lost play-off games? This is one time when it's more about doing one's best and supporting the cause, rather than a painful season end in some dimly lit half-filled stadium in New Jersey.

Great event, well-organized. Plenty of cool stuff to see from the parade to other events around the stadium. Would've liked the Alumni parties to not cost $100 and also better seating maybe for the actual Parade. My view is a little different as a recent grad with less money to spend compared to most other alumni. Stadium is awesome with great choices for food. Serves beer. Parking is plentiful and leaving is easy as pie. But again, it's expensive everywhere. My four friends and I paid the $40 for the parking near the field (on a baseball field). Another person we knew parked at the shuttle parking lot and still ended up paying $30.

Everything was great - life time experience. The only negative is the VIP tent before and after the game - not enought food trucks or bar people for the crowds. Had to wait hour+ just to get service. Not worth the extra money!!

My wife and I traveled from Tennessee to watch her beloved Dawgs play in the Rose Bowl. The setting of the game is unlike any other football game I've been to (and I have been to a llot). Although our seats were in the corner of the end zone, we had a great view of every play. I doubt there is a bad seat in the house. The vendors were helpful, and there was a good selection of food. It was difficult getting out of the event after the game. We ended up walking back to Pasadena and got kind of lost. I think the best bet would be to be a part of a llarge group with a tour bus. Of course, the game was epic - double overtime win for the Dawgs.

If you watched or read about the game you already know it was terrific. Going to the Rose Bowl Game on New Years Day is the single best football event of the year. I have been to over 35 Rose Bowl games and have loved it every time.

The good: I love the Rose Bowl stadium. Third time there and have a great time every time. The Georgia fans were cool and gracious winners. The flyover is AMAZING!! The bad; I unknowingly purchased the Primesport Official Rose Bowl Hospitality Village tailgate for $175 and the only thing I got was a commemorative wrist band. Went in to fenced off tailgate area which was in Lot H as indicated, was denied where it looked like the tailgate was with promised unlimited BBQ, beer,wine,soda but was told that was blue writbands only. Only other options we saw was food trucks with an hour wait each and long lines at the bar. Absolutely no food or drink consumed. The Sooners: What a great game!! First time playing Georgia, first OT in a Rose Bowl which turned out to be double OT! Life long Sooner fan who has been through all the ups and downs since the early 80s. I will miss Baker. I gave a 3 star as a happy medium between 5 star for the game and 1 star for Primesport let down tailgate.

The venue is a little old, but if you are in the upper bowl, there is a great view from every seat. In the lower bowl, it is a little flat and difficult to see over the crowd. I was impressed with the healthy food options at this venue.

Game was great. Getting in and around stadium stunk.

The game itself was all it was supposed to be and more! The venue seating was pretty tight, but we had a great view. Getting to our seats from around the stadium as well as getting to the stadium was absolutely the worst I've ever seen anywhere! Both the refreshment stands and restroom facilities are prepared for a much smaller group. Although I paid $480 for my ticket, I would not go again for free!

The Prime Sport package was misleading. The description for the pre-game sounded like we would receive free food and drinks, then have an option to return after the game and buy additional food and drink. Instead, we paid over $200 for the "privilege" of buying overpriced food and drinks before and after the game. But at least water and cokes were $2 each. I won't buy a Prime Sport package again, only bought this one for the ticket to the game that was included. As for the Rose Bowl, great history, not much for logistics. Luckily, we drove and had a parking pass. At the end of the first quarter, the concession stands were out of all soft drinks and much of the food. Exiting the venue was a nightmare. Not ready for 90K fans.

Rose Bowl, Best Game Live. GREAT FAMILY EXPERIENCE.

The CFP between Oklahoma and Georgia was a great game. The B2 flyover prior to the game was incredible. However, getting to the venue, thru security and into the game was a nightmare. Took over an hour. I thought that was bad until we left. The lines for the busses back to the Metro station were POORLY marked with little info from the staff. Waited in line for 45 minutes only to realize it just ran into more lines. Finally gave up and walked the 1.5 miles back to the Metro station. I thought we'd be back in the future, but definitely will be a once in a lifetime event, because not putting myself through that again !!

The Rose Bowl Experience was AWESOME!!! I grew up watching this game on tv with my Dad and brothers who have all passed away, so being able to go "in person" was the dream of a lifetime. The lines were a bit bothersome, but with 92,000 people in one place, understandable. The Rose Bowl Stadium setting is like no other in college football - absolutely beautiful and the STEALTH BOMBER fly over - just incredible!!!! All staff were friendly and helpful and with GEORGIA winning the game......overall......trip of a lifetime!!! GO DAWGS!!!!

Overall a great experience. The stadium bathrooms and concessions were overrun at the expected times. Also, really needed more traffic control leaving the parking areas. It was a mad scramble with no direction and I was afraid someone would get murdered. But I had a great time. The venue has an old rustic feel to it. Legendary game. The fly over by the stealth bomber was amazing. The game was an instant classic.

I have been to a lot of football games as a Georgia and SEC fan and this is the best venue and experience I have ever had! Go Dawgs!

Most exciting Rose Bowl game ever. We were on the edge of our seats from start to finish.

Of course the game was great. But I was also impressed at how well the game was managed. Security lines were so fast! Ushers were helpful. Restroom lines not too long. The food was not very good. The main thing I would have changed was parking. Why not have parking at various places around the city with shuttles to the game or parade included in the parking price?(Ex: park at Dodger Stadium for $30 and hop on a shuttle directly to the stadium area.) This would help with traffic congestion, air quality, and give seniors or those with disabilities more options to be dropped off closer.

The game was great! Stadium & tailgate experience was awesome. Getting out after the game was horrible. We paid more for the preferred parking thinking it would be easier getting out, but not at all. No ushers in parking lots directing traffic....total chaos! Witnessed multiple near-accidents.

Worth every penny! I will go again next year. Great gift idea

I don't think there is a bad seat in this stadium. Definitely a game that everyone should experience at least once! We had an awesome time!
