An intense basketball game well worth attending. Each team played incredibly hard until the final buzzer.

Great game (CofC versus Drexel) in Colonial Athletic Ass n. College basketball tourney (quarterfinals) at North Charleston Coliseum. My first CofC basketball game. Nice venue. Good security. Fast moving lines. Good food choices. Great seats. Cougs rally from 9 points down with 12 minutes to go and win by 7 points. Fun!

The Richmond Coliseum is a dump. Poor lighting and looks really stupid with the different color seats. Collecting money while leaving the parking garage slowed things down and is a safety issue and always has been. Saw two guys almost get into a fight because of the backup in the garage. Selling tickets to the winner of the first game in the semi-finals gives that winner an unfair advantage on getting the best seats and as many seats for the championship. During the musical chairs at halftime of the first semi-final games the stupidity of one player almost got others hurt and was rude. Bad sportsmanship when two bands play at the same time and just really sounds bad. Crowds hard to walk with during the break between the two games and having vendors taking a lot of space prevented a good flow of traffic. To be honest wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't a fire code violation and would be if the Fire Marshall saw it happening.

The excitement was there from start to finish. The energy in the air was great for mid-major college basketball. The upsets really made everything interesting although the number 2 seed wound up a the winner.

The basketball was as good as always watching the CAA. I was VERY disappointed when I bought row C tickets thinking we were 3 rows up and it was the first row behind 2 sets of bars that you could not see the court. We had to move from center court to a corner section to see the game.

Our family always looks forward to the CAA Chamionships at the Richmond Coliseum. It is well-organized, in a convenient location, we love the activities all around the games. The CAA has exciting tournament games, to say the least. It's a great event, all around!

The CAA tournament in Richmond, VA is a one of a kind event. It posts the best of the mid-majors against eachother in an elemination tourny. Exciting every year, all the games are close (minus a few first round ones). The Richmond Coliseum, while aging, is still a great venue for the game (some repairs are needed)... Plenty of concessions and extras!!!!

The CAA tournament enables you to experience the varying sytles of each of the twelve teams. The tournament enables you to interact with fans from all over the east coast. The inclusion of the pep bands, dance squads, cheerleaders and student sections provides additional home court atmosphere for the games. The tournament provided many close games which game down to the final moments of the game.

I really enjoyed watching Old Dominion face the College of William and Mary on Monday, March 8. However, I did not care too much for the venue. There was plenty of open seating in the collesium, but the event staff would not let you change your seats. If you wanted to change your seat you had to be sneaky about it. When purchasing our tickets, the collesium gave us the highest level of seating in the venue for our ticket price. They could have given us closer seats by far, but chose not too. The concession stand staff were not too friendly to their customers. The end result was that the game was fun to watch, but the venue was not the best host.

Unbelievable game! ODU is in hostile territory at the sold out Richmond Coliseum, 70% of spectators are for VCU, the refs are all for the local team (don't we always think that?), and the ODU Monarchs are down by 12 with 12 minutes to play. VCU can smell the blood, the fans are going wild! (It sucks). The Monarchs have been in this situation before, so they gather themselves and start the climb back into the game. Gut check time! Then 'BAM!', Marsharee Neeley nails a three from the top of the key, Carter nails another, Lee hooks one in for two, and all of a sudden we're tied! Oops, did you feel that? Yep, momentum shifted! Next thing you know, overtime is done and ODU wins by 4, 73 to 69! Time for a chilly cool!

The games I saw, VCU/George Mason and VCU/Old Dominion were well played and intensed . The VCU Jazz band, dancers and cheerleaders were all spectacular. It was well worth it and Ed Nixon should not feel bad about the last shot. The CAA is a strong league and should have several teams advance to the NCAA. Old Dominion, VCU and William and Mary have wins outside the CAA in the top 25 to include Georgetown, Maryland, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, University of Richmond, ect. These teams are as strong as the ACC and yet the ACC continues to dominate over the CAA in teams represented to go to the NCAA. The City of Richmond needs to be prepared and have toilet paper and soap in the bathrooms of which there was none on Friday night. I also missed 30 minutes of the game because of problems with will call.

The CAA is possibly the best mens' basketball for the lowest price anywhere in this country. Repeatedly during the regular season, commentators and reporters comment that the CAA mens' basketball programs have developed into major teams, not to be ignored. Not only are tickets to the post-season championship tournament available (as compared to the ACC tournament), but they are affordable. Our experience in attending this tournament over the past four years has been that there are excellent teams playing exciting and quality basketball games. This year was no exception. In Session 3, the VCU vs. George Mason game was outstanding.

Upper level seats are old but bigger than the lower level, which are nice but cramped. Great place for a basketball tournament. Food prices are MSG equivalent - $10 + for a burger and drink !!!

The event was great! However, I recommend getting seat in the 100 and 200 levels. All the views are great even in 300 where I was sitting. However there was more "fan fare" going on in the 100 and 200 levels. The games were very competitive and fast paced. This with the cheering squads and bands for each school made for a very fun event. My family had a great time.

We wanted to see Towson and the College of Charleston play and these tickets got us in to both games on Saturday. (6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.) I wanted section 107 but they were allegedly sold out. Saturday night, however, there were lots of empty seats. We ended up in 207 and were very pleased. I think you might sell more tickets to the CAA tournament if the prices were not so high, $25 for the third tier, $42 for the second tier, and $52 for the first level. I would love to have seen lots of high school and college kids in the cheap seats....but there were no cheap seats.

The games were exciting. The venue was comfortable and most seats had a great view. The start times were appropriately spaced. There are many restaurants in the area to visit in between sessions on the same day. Parking was expensive but available.

The CAA championship is the premiere championship in Div I basketball. There's a lot of energy, a lot of fun and of course some of the best basketball in the country. This game did not disappoint. The CAA does a great job of making the whole tournament a success.

The CAA tournament has become the tournament to see! The conference consistently sends at least two teams to the big dance and the level of play during the tournament rivals any other conference - That's right! You heard me ACC. The Richmond Coliseum is dated but clean with good sightlines. They could stand to upgrade their food offerings however.

The games were awesome. So looking forward to tonight's game: VCU take on Drexel. Sure would be nice if tickets for the lower level seats were available to the local fans and also to those season ticket holders of the Rams at the Siegel Center. Real bummer to see empty seats below as you are sitting high up in nose bleed section.

I've now been to the CAA tournament twice, and I've found it a quite enjoyable experience. The basketball is terrific, the atmosphere is fabulous - especially the pep bands - and the price is right. My only regret this year was not staying for the second day of the tournament. (Couldn't have stayed for the finals because of work.)

The Basketball game was great as ODU won. I was excited about that howver I purchased 3 tickets and the 3 seats we had sucked. Ticketmaster put us in the upper level in the front row of the Richmond Coliseum. We could not see the ballgame because the rails were in the way the whole time. We had to shrink down in our seats to be able to see the game. The next day our neck was so sore. Please do not see tickets to events that you can not see. We could not even standup because people behind us wanted us to set down.

I have gone to this for 4 years straight now, and I just discovered the fan zone outside. This very nice.the food was good and the beer was cold. One of the bands playing was called "The bush League" they played blues and were very entertaining. If you plan on doing all six sessions don't leave home with out some cash. After a while a six dollar beers 4 dollar dogs get a little old. But it was a very nice time

The CAA tournament is well-run and provides a great atmosphere. While Richmond Coliseum is not a modern, state-of the art arena, it is a perfectly great place to watch basketball. Plus the downtown Richmond location is perfect for this event.
