It was the first time I've had the pleasure of seeing Shinedown Live and it will not be my last!! :) There sound was so spot on that at times I had to wonder if I was listening to a recording but that was put to rest when Brent Smith (Lead Vocalist) would change up how he would sing the song. The sound and lighting was phenomenal!!! Shinedown is a band to see hands down!!!!

THE SHOW AS USUAL WAS GREAT! BRENT WAS BACK ALONG WITH ALL HIS SPUNK AND VIGOR. HE LOOKS GREAT! THEY PLAYED ALOT OF THE NEW ALBUM AND ALL THEIR HITS. A LITTLE FROM ALL THEIR ALBUMS. THE NEW STAGE AND LIGHTING WAS AWESOME. CAN'T WAIT TILL MAY 4TH TO SEE THEM AGAIN :) WAITED AT THE BUS FOR 21/2 HOURS TO MEET THE BAND, WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE WELL WORTH THE WAIT. THE GUYS ARE SOME OF THE NICEST PEOPLE YOU COULD EVER MEET. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS 2 IN THE MORNING, THEY STILL TOOK THEIR TIME TO SIGN AUTOGRAPHS, TAKE PICTURES, AND TALK TO THEIR FANS. IT SHOWS HOW MUCH THEY REALLY CARE AND APPREICATE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US. I LOVE THEM ALL AND WISH THEM ALL THE BEST.

This show was great. I have never heard of Art of Dying, they were good, just not my thing. Adelitas way rocked. Both of these groups had a wonderful stage presence and played their hearts out. When Shinedown took the stage it was all over!! Brent Smith drug free and had an awesome attitude! It is amazing when people are not high how much much more they interact from the heart with the audience. From the moment the second song started there was a crazy flow of crowd surfing, Pittsburgh peeps are very nice everyone had a great attitude and got along well, even those that were completely drunk. lol Brent's attitude and personality set the mood of the concert. It was very enjoyable and I am going to try to make it to the Columbus, Ohio concert. That's just how good it was. :)

It was my first time seeing Halestorm live, and also Stone Sour.. in a sense.. they were awesome.. it was a great tour. Halestorm rocked the house and got the crowd going while Corey Taylor and company finished.. in between there was Skillet and Theory of a Deadman which sang a couple new songs off of the upcoming release.. (can't wait to get that album)... Stone Sour also debuted a couple songs that haven't been sung on the tour yet, and Corey displayed a new hair cut for Bloomington, Illinois which is tweeted about prior to the show.. so overall it was a great show.. excellent bands.. there was a small opening band Art of Dyeing and they did good, but didn't get the crowd moving like Halestorm.. but all in all the bands rocked the house in Bloomington.

I came from Devils Lake ND to come see them in St. Paul and it was totally worth it. All the bands were great. Art of Dying was very good for an opening band, Halestorm always puts on a great show that everyone likes, skillet is probably the most intense christian rock band out there, Theory of a Deadman had a great show and the lead singer is pretty entertaining, and Stonesour can sike up the crowd more than most bands out there. So it was Awesome tour!!!

Art of Dying put on an energetic show and was able to move the crowd as much as an opener can. I feel they have yet to find their "sound" but I'm intrigued to see what's next for those guys. Halestorm despite some audio problems early on recovered nicely and rocked it! Lzzy & Arejay embraced the crowd and are able to keep everyone entertained throughout the set. Skillet will continue to quickly move up the rock ranks if they keep up with the incredible stage performances I have seen thus far. Very good stage presence easily the most memorable of the night. Theory of a Deadman has their own sound and their own fan base. Something they most definitely do not apologize for. The line up was structured well, having a band like TOAD separate Skillet from Stone Sour really helped to intensify the anticipation of Stone Sour hitting the stage. Keeping in mind this was Stone Sour's first tour as headliner and it was the 2nd show of the tour. They kept to their rock roots and nailed it! No special effects needed here! Corey related with the crowd and kept us involved the entire set. Overall for the size of the venue, the number of bands, the popularity of the bands, the tour promotions and contests prior and the ticket price this was a win-win show for any type of rock fan. A-

Can't say too much about Art of Dying. They may have looked good, but way too mellow and laid back for all the intense headbanging and movement the singer was doing to such slow songs. Once Adelitas Way hit the stage, our night began. They awakened sleeping souls and put on a great performance. When Shinedown hit the stage, you felt their presence and it was intense. Excellent sound, lights and vocals-they are truly talented and it was a treat to see them at one of the coolest small venues on the East Coast. I am not a fan of big arenas, so The National is a winner everyt ime we've been.

This was my first time visiting the National in Richmond Virginia and it is a great venue to see live music. The opening act Art of Dying has a lot of promise. The headliner Shinedown was fantastic. I brought my wife who was not that familiar with them, but now she is a huge fan. Look forward to seeing Shinedown again when they return to the area.

I was very excited to see this show because I love all three bands. Art of Dying were great, and I'm so happy that they're finally making a name for themselves. Adelita's Way were awesome, too, especially when they did "Sick". Shinedown were just AMAZING. The energy was high, and Brent's vocals and messages to the crowd blew me away. This was my first time seeing them live, and I DEFINITELY plan on seeing them again!!!

There really isn't a word that I can think of that descibes how incredible that show was.All three bands were totally on and very impressive. Adelitas way was much better live than I expected but SHINEDOWN was life changing. I'm 50 years old,I have been going to concerts all over the country for 35 years and I can honestly say that SHINEDOWN has to be at the top of the list. I went with my two daughters (20,17) although It was my idea, they also were breathless at the end of the show. I hope they filmed it for a video and I will have to buy it so I can relive that show over and over.

The concert was pretty good. The National is a gorgeous old theatre. The sound man should be retrained. Main voice not loud enough and the bass was too high causing occasional feedback. Shinedown played 7 new songs off their kick ass new cd Amaryllis and several others. Major drawback was the length of their set.......BARELY over an hour. That's ridiculous. Adelita's Way has talent and were decent. Just need polishing. Art of Dying sucked ass. Just terrible. They were just trying too damn hard to be showmen that they forgot how to play and sing their music. It was painful to watch and endure. Seats - We sat upstairs for a change. I dont recommend this because if anyone in their VIP section stands up to watch, then you won't be able to see anything. Terrible policy of letting VIP members stand.

I've seen Shinedown everything they've come to VA, but this was my first meet and greet with them. They were some of the coolest people I ever met, and they were so appreciative of their fans. They mixed it up singing from all 4 albums which was AWESOME! Even though it's been about a year and 1/2 since I seen them, they made me feel like they never left. GREAT JOB GUYS! looking forward to seeing and meeting you guys again. Till next time! At the end of the show Eric gave a 10 year kid standing next me the song list for the show which was really cool.

I thought my live concert days were over. Shinedown changed that. I'm 54 yrs old and this is my 3rd time seeing them. This show was the best so far and what a venue!!! There can't be a better place to see a show than "The National" in Richmond, Va. The former movie theatre has been converted into a rock show paradise where you are so close to the band, it's unreal. The opening acts - Art of Dying(great) and Adelitas Way set the mood. Shinedown then rocked a 16 song set with a good mix of old and new stuff. Although there were seats available......nobody used them..... Can't wait until 5/4 when I see them at the Lunatic Luau in Va. Beach!!! Thanks Ticketmaster for making it easy to have a great time!!!

Openning Act "Art of Dying" performed a Kick-Ass show. Following them was PA's own Halestorm who had an awesome performance warming up the crowd nicely for Skillet. Skillet was probably the show winner of this tour. Theory of a Deadman, Seether, and Stone Sour all performed a great show. Seether was a nice addition for the Pittsburgh show. I have numerous pics posted on my Facebook page open for "everyone" to view. To view - Search for "Avalanche Tour- Pittsburgh . . . Art of Dying"; "Avalanche Tour- Pittsburgh . . . And the band as a whole is just so in sync with each other! Skillet rallied the crowd and was just as amazing, as was Theory of a Deadman. And Stone Sour!!! Hailstorms set was way too loud and you couldn't hear everything as clearly. And when your standing at the railing that's really loud. Skillet put on an amazing performance. Totally awesome music and live performance. It was great. Theory of a deadman had good music but not a whole lot when it came to the performance part. Their new single though is gonna be a hit. Took my 14yr old son to first concert. Dismayed the first group had to yell out the F word every 5 seconds. However, was greatly impressed by the band, Skillett. Their music and presentation was incredible. Would pay the price of the ticket just to see their performance set.

Got there a little late so missed Art of Dying and caught the tail end of Halestorm. I'd seen them before they do a fun show with a lot of energy. Then Skillet who was good. Theory of a Deadman stole the show IMHO lots of energy, interacted with the crowd and played really well. I was disappointed with Seether, felt they could have interacted more with the crowd and showed a little emotion. Since it poured through their set I was hoping they would say thanks for staying through the rain. Since we were soaked we left before Stone Sour but I've seen them before so I bet they were awesome.

What a great over all show this was. Halestorm rocked, Skillet was unbelievable as usual, Seether was great, and Stone sour as usual commanded the crowd and pumped the energy level up by a factor of ten.

kinda disappointed that the show started so early, how do u expect working people to get to a 3 pm show, we figured that it was gonna be smaller bands to start off like it was at Ozzfest... and we wouldnt miss much... but we didnt get to see Theory of a Deadman...very sad to have missed them... but Seether and Stone Sour were great :) it was very cool of FNP to upgrade all the lawn seats since the show didnt sell out...

I bought my tickets especially to see Halestorm and Stone Sour. Halestorm was wonderful - I wish they had played longer and I will see them again. Stone Sour was beyond amazing and a must see for anyone who loves rock music. My surprise love was Skillet - they did a fantastic show and I would definitely go see them again. Theory was a complete disappointment, tho I am sure some people loved it. All in all a great show and I am glad I bought the tickets.

I took my teenaged son and his friend to the show. It had been moved from the Richmond Coliseum to The National, a much smaller venue that made for a more intimate show. (I LOVE going to concerts at The National!) The first band, Art of Dying, was lame from start to finish. Perhaps the individual members should find another line of work. Halestorm was much better, in large part due to the drummer. I have seen a lot of drummers live over the years including some of the all-time greats like John Bonham and Keith Moon. The drummer for Halestorm was one of the most entertaining drummers I have ever seen--incredible energy and showmanship! Skillet's abreviated set was up to their usual high standard. Musically speaking, Theory of a Dead Man was probably the best band of the night, though the misogynous lyrics detracted from the songs. ("The Bitch Came Back"--I'm talking to you!) About Stone Sour--what can I say? You can take Corey Taylor out of Slipknot, but you can't take Slipknot out of Corey Taylor. Unecessarily crude and vulgar for the entire set, beginning with flipping off the crowd at the very beginning when they took the stage. Bottom line--if you already know and like these bands, then it was probably an excellent show. (My son and his friend thought it was incredible.) But it wouldn't convert any new potential fans.

First, they switched the venue from the Richmond Coliseum to the National. This is after I paid for assigned setting. No compensation was offered! Second, that's the first time we saw Theory of a dead man and they we very good, I will look for their CD's. Third, I like Stone Sour music but they suck live and the lead singer was the F*** every other word, not pleasant. He was more concerned with cursing than singing. In order, Art of Dying, Halestorm, Skillet, Theory of a dead man and Stone sour. As you might have guessed, the highlight was in the middle of the convert, Halestorm and Skillet. Big let down after that. Thanks.

I'll have to admit that I was really disappointed when the venues were changed until the first band started. I was totally blown away!!! At times the music was so loud you couldn't hear the singer but all in all it was great. I don't believe The National had a bad seat in the house!!! Halestorm & Skillet were my favorites of the night. Don't get me wrong, Art of Dying were a great surprise for a band I never heard of, Theory of a Deadman gave a solid show & Stone Sour just ruled the house. If I was able to follow them the whole tour I believe I would, it was just that damn good!!!!

The Avalanche Tour was totally awesome. we were to see it at the Richmond Coliseum but it was transferred to The National. Which is a totally awesome place for smaller crowds. We got there right before Halestorm came out to play. From the time they hit the stage until they finished, they were unbelievable. Izzy commanded the stage. She had everybody in the grasp of her spell. ( so to speak) Arejay, The drummer, was frickin AWESOME. I've seen my share of drummers over the years and this kid was just totally in a zone of his own. He played with his feet, he stood on the drums and played. He had a cymbal behind his head on a stand and when he would bring up his drum stick to hit the drums he would just reach back and hit the cymbal. On top of putting on a great show they were outside when the show was all over to sign autographs for us. They are the nicest, down to earth young men and woman. They asked our names, hugged us, took pictures with us. Just toatally awesome. I will make it a point to see them again, and again. Skillet, Theory of a Deadman where also good, they just didn't command the stage the way Halestorm did.. Stone Sour was not my cup of tea but, my son and his girlfriend loved them.

In general, it was a decent show. Had good company. Corey Taylor was sick but still sang amazingly and was the best part. I've seen Halestorm at least 7 times and that was the worst set list I've seen from them. It's important to play new songs and change things up but to not even play some of your hits in front of a crowd who has loved you for so many years in the Wolf's Den was disappointing. Theory of a Deadman - decent. Not amazing or the best I've ever seen from a band, but decent. Skillet - not really a fan for personal reasons but I respect their talent. They put on a good show. All in all I had a great time and enjoyed the music. Was mostly disappointed by Halestorm's performance and the acoustics of the venue. Also, they turned the lights completely on in between each band which was weird. Not normal, but then again I usually attend smaller events. Also, you could tell when the set was over before the band told us because the guys in the back would open the curtains beforehand.

I took my 13yr old daughter to this concert as she is a HUGE fan of Skillet and thought would be a great show, it was her birthday and thought heck why not. OMG she LOVED it. She later sed that this was the BEST night of her life 2 days after show was still smiling. She loved Art of Dying, and becme a hge fan of Stone Sour, she was jus awestruck when she saw Skillet. I am a major rock fan and aprreciated the music of Art of Dying but will say was hard to here vocals due to the band played louder than he sang. Halestorm, I now have a new appreciation for the lead singer she can ACTUALLY sing she voice is beautiful Skillet really needed to play longer they were AWSUM just there set was short. They are the ones that the crowd really responded to. Theory of a deadman was terrific they were engaging fun and rocked BUT STONE SOUR WOW COREY TAYLOR IS A GOD. His voice was amazing his persona was intoxicating he did apologize for being sick but wow he hid it well I have been to alot of concerts but this one by far was in the top 3 Cant wait til next year ill be there with my daughter fist pumpn n headbanging thank you

Stone Sour, Theory of a Dead Man, Halestorm, Art of Dying were all amazing but my heart belongs to SKILLET! I LOVE SKILLET!!!!! They were awesome, John Cooper came out before the show to talk w/ the radio dj's and fans, stayed long enough after so my 14 yr old daughter could meet and take a pic, really nice guy! The show was just jammin all night! Loved seeing all 5 bands but too bad they didn't have more time to play...Skillet could only squeeze in 7 songs. Corey Taylor from Stone Sour was sick as a dog but gave us everything he had and they were freakin awesome!

The first band I had not heard of before. They were not as polished as the rest-more of an up and coming band, but decent. Then Halestorm took the stage. The lead singer, a woman had an absolutely incredible range to her voice, which was both sweet and raw! The band was good! Skillet came on next. I went to the concert because of Skillet. They were amazing! Every song was as good or better live as the original recording. Theory of a Deadman was average at best! There music was much more pop and sedate and did not fit in with the rest of the show.Rounding out the tour was Stone Sour! Even though the lead singer was sick, he gave a hell of a performance! Their music was great! So, all and all, a great show!

Never heard of Art-Of-Dying before this show- Would definetly buy their stuff. Skillet was the Whole show though- they are utterly amazing- best band since Metallica. The vocal mics needed to be turned up compared to the rest of the band however.

Skillet was the best! Upbeat, loud, and fun. The band was tight and i love the sound of the vocals. Most of all, the lyrics and speach were not offensive. The other cocky rockers should brush up on what happend to those 80's bands. Most have died of overdose, have children they don't know about, and have STD's and no liver. Its all about the music, not sex and drugs. Sorry Theory. Not fun.

What a great show! Shinedown was simply amazing, and Adelita's Way and Art of Dying were even better than expected. Both opening acts stood around and met fans after the show. Couldn't really have been better aside from a little bit of an excessive wait between acts. The music, however, did not disappoint!!!

I saw Shinedown in a small venue with about 1200 others- what a great show! They played 5 songs from the new album which are fantastic. I would recommend getting the new album if you are going to see the show. The energy level at the show was more than I expected. This was my first time seeing them but it won't be my last. This band deserves more support!
