Kiss Alive!

Anytime you pay $20 to hear KISS music, you really can't go wrong. The venue seemed to be a little small for them - the stage was the same size as one in an elementary school. But, they played all the usual KISS tunes with two surprises that I have never heard the real band play live so that was kind of cool. They were good, however, they need a new "Paul." The guy didn't look like Paul Stanley, didn't act like him, and didn't sound like him. He was about two heads shorter than Paul and 100 pounds heavier. I know it's only a cover band, but seeing as he's the lead singer and the entertainer, I expected more. He was bad enough that I wanted to leave early. If you're going to try and imitate one of the greatest bands ever, then at least don't disgrace them.

Patrick Stump

Patrick Stump is my favorite singer and I've been a fan of him for the past 7 years. I didn't know what to expect when he went solo, but it has been phenomenal. His album Soul Punk is awesome, and after listening to him for 7 years I finally got to see him perform live. He was phenomenal, and he even sounded better than his cd which I didn't think was possible. His show was amazing and I can't wait to see him again. I also got the lucky chance of meeting him after the show and he was a really great guy and so down to Earth. He really cares about his fans and is just one of the nicest guys you could meet. He gave me a huge bear hug and took pictures with me and my friends which made our lives.

Willie Nelson's Country Throwdown Tour

Hadn't been to Red Rocks since 1986 when I moved away from Colorado. Went to Willie Nelson's country throwdown tour on June 21st, since we were going to be in the area anyhow. Not a big country fan, but had a great experience with staff and fellow concert goers. I actually enjoyed all of the other acts even though I really didn't know who they were. Lukas Nelson really rocked the house and I expect to see him on the main stage soon with his Promise of the Real band! Willie was awesome, but a little short on time in my opinion, but then again.....I doubt many could even take the stage at his age!! Still going strong...good for him. This was my boyfriends first Red Rocks experience and he was blown away. We even stopped back by on our way out of town so he could experience the magical space without a show going on and walk out on stage!! Way to go Red Rocks!!! Good memories!

One can always go to a Cheap Trick show expecting greatness and not be let down, but they were absolutely over-the-top this time around. In paraphrasing another person's description of Robin Zander's vocals, he has lungs of iron. An average listener could think that Cheap Trick is simply making the round of the has-been circuit. The average listener would be completely missing the point. This band keeps playing because they are just that good. Styx was surprisingly good, and their show had great energy. I am still perplexed by the placing of them above Cheap Trick in the line-up, but they, too, are still strong vocally and instrumentally. 74

Having stumbled upon this band while streaming Pandora a year ago, I could not believe my luck when I heard they were finally playing in my area. From start to finish, they engaged the crowd and created a fun atmosphere. Most importantly, they were so humble and appreciative of their fans. Love, them, love them, love them. Please come back soon, Alpine!

Back to the Garden 1969 group were energetic and performed a good selection of songs. Instrumentation was good and voices were a little week for some songs. Overall, a great performance. Would recommend their return.

and I have been listening to them for 30 years. The show at BB King's was much tighter than their other shows. Nothing but good song selection and great music.
