Great show and great venue to see this Ex-Kiss guitar legend! Make sure you bring your ear plugs as this was extremely loud! My ears were still ringing even with plugs in. Most of the songs were classics and not much new stuff. Anytime he is near by I would go!

Flashback - I caught Ace last year at the Newport - a great show supported by his new band who were tight and entertaining - which is good because Ace plays it a little loose sometimes. But with Ace, it's the feeling of his playing and performance that's key. He's an artist, not a technician. Great show. Last night Ace was AMAZING! He was loose, having fun playing the rock star and guitar god with more confidence in his vocals. Most surprisingly was the improvement in his playing - he was spot-on TIGHT! I've heard Ace say of himself that his playing is improving because of his sobriety. Man, there's NO denying that. I've never heard him sound that good. He has become the artist AND the technician. Wow.

Last night was far and away the best Ace Frehley concert I have ever seen! I have followed KISS since 1976 and Ace has always been my favorite. To that end, I have seen him every time he plays! Ace and the band sounded incredible, the stage set was awesome and I really enjoyed the set list. Interestingly enough, Ace didn't do a single song from any of his solo work after KISS. He did, however, play about 17 songs including 4 from the new 'Anomaly'. I thought he would do "Outer Space" and "Sister" but he also did "Foxes on the Run" and "Foxy and Free" which is one of my favorite tracks! He kicked off the concert with "Shout it out loud" instead of the traditional "Rip it out" and was in absolute MINT form throughout! Looked great and sounded even better!

The show started with SHOUT IT OUT LOUD, and the crowd was never quiet from that point on!!! Ace still has what it takes to wow a crowd with his guitar and showmanship. I think he's favored even more as the "black sheep" of the old band. EVERYBODY loves him, he's still on his game!!! His band, probably all half his age, backed him like they've been with him for decades. He's picked a great group of guys, and together they rock the house. WELL DONE!!

He once was the Famous Space Ace of the legendary band KISS, but since his departure from the band, Ace hasn't missed a beat. Opening with "Rip It out" and finishing his exciting performance with Cold Gin, I had to pick my jaw off the floor. I've been a KISS fan since 1974, but from watching one of the Greatest guitarist in the world today, still kicking butt, Rock-N-Rolling, I will "Alway's" be a Ace Frehley fan 4-Ever ! Wish he could of played for at least 3 hrs, but I settled for the 1 hr and 45 minutes of explosive music and sights. Ace Fan Forever Robert !

Ace is playing better than ever. This felt more like KISS than KISS Alive 35 did a month ago. House of Blues Cleveland is a great venue. Excellent set list also. Ace did his signature tunes, some KISS tunes and a few songs from the new album which were also excellent and very well received by the enthusiastic crowd who broke into ACE! ACE! Ace Frehley put on an excellent show, "aced it", you might say. It also helped a great deal that I was right at the stage, so I'm no more than 20 feet from him. His band were pumped up too. Best part of the show was not only playing New York Groove, but his guitar solo with the smokin' guitar theatrics. Being so close to stage, I have quite a few awesome and upclose pictures, and great videos as well. Jef

Ace Frehley will never disappoint! He is a guitar legend and has no problem proving it - his supporting band is quite phenomenal as well and make for a great, well-rounded rock 'n' roll extravaganza! As nice as it is to see Ace in a less formal venue, I don't think he and his band would have ANY problems selling out much larger arenas - his musicianship is spot-on and there is no doubt in your mind, once Ace starts playing, that this IS the ONE and ONLY Spaceman

Ace starts out with Rocket Ride and blows the roof off The House of Blues. Later on hit starts playing Stangeways and I couldn't believe it. It sounds AWESOME. He also played Hardtimes and Talk to me. It was jaw dropping. The only thing that I was disappointed with is I Really wanted to hear Outer Space and he remove it from his set list already. But otherwise it was a spectacular show. 2 thumbs up Ace.

All in all I've seen Ace live about a dozen times in the last 25 years. I also was lucky enough to see him twice in 2008, not to mention meeting him before one of the shows. I was inspired by and can totally appreciate his struggles with sobriety. He is truly an under-appreciated guitar legend. People have been inspired and copy his licks all the time. Back to 2008, I have to say that thing that impressed me the most was the caliber of musicians that he is playing with. The band clearly is 25-30 years younger but fit perfectly. These guys are energetic and actually sound better tha Kiss on several numbers. I am a big Kiss fan also. I think that this band is a perfect blend of talent and it brings out the best of Ace. So pay attention 2008 = very, very good. So this gets me to the 2009 show at the HOB in Cleveland. In the time that my wife and I saw him in 2008, he has release a new disc: Anomaly. So we were pretty sure that there would be a fair share of new songs played. I didn't write down the numbers that he played, but the set was flawless. A blend of new and old. Two songs that really shined: "Sister" (new, favorite new track), "Love Her All I Can" (Never remove this from the setlist!-it is an outstanding showcase of how good this band is), "Love Gun" (really, I'm not a Kiss hater at all - this was better than the latest Kiss tour version, light years) and "Rocket Ride" (the best I've ever seen him play-total showcase of Ace's skill). Bottom line, this tour should blow everyone away --> go see them, you won't believe it. Ace is truly at the top of his game. Best Ace show I've ever seen. Go to see him, there are not that many dates before he goes over seas. Everyone's in for a treat.

Yes, Ace Frehley puts on a great show. He came to the Neptune theater in Seattle on Saturday the 11th. It was the last show of this leg of his tour before heading to South America and Mexico. Great solos, the smoking guitar, trading riffs with Ritchie Scarlet, everything was spot on. The drummer and bassist were both awesome. I don't remember their names, probably because of my age, but the were, very polished and powerful. It was a lifelong dream to see Ace play live and I got to do that. Stood very close to the front and at a few points he came within feet. I resisted the temptation to weep. I was a big boy. I also attended the Meet and Greet, which seemed rather disorganized, but everything did have a flow to it and I got my picture taken with Ace. It's one of my most prized possessions. If you ever have the chance, and of course are a fan of ANY of Ace's music, please, treat yourself. Great show, intimate setting and the man was there right in front of me.

This was my third time seeing Ace Frehley, and by far the most intimate. The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA is easily my favorite L.A.-based venue, primarily because it's so easy to get close to the performers, which makes the show all the more memorable (I just wish they'd get a better chef). Thankfully, Ace brought his A-game to the concert, which was loud, rowdy and just a lot of fun. Showing far more personality than he was ever allowed to while he was still in KISS, Ace led his three-piece backing band through a selection of both solo and KISS-era favorites, and a few covers. At 65, Ace wasn't content to let his band do the heavy-lifting for him; the man treated the enthusiastic audience to trademark solo after solo, and didn't stand still for long. Cracking jokes and introducing songs in his Brooklyn accent, Frehley delivered a performance that was as enjoyable as it was very retro--he even had his literally smoking Gibson on one song, a holdover from his days headlining arenas and stadiums with KISS. While I generally have a so-so attitude about that band, I can say that Ace's Canyon Club show made me very grateful that I saw him in such close quarters (my table was first off the stage, and I sat no more than 10 feet from him at the most), especially when I was able to get his attention as he was leaving the stage after the show and secure his autograph on a vinyl copy of his new album for my friend. Opening act Enuff Z'nuff were actually pretty good. These '90s-era veterans delivered a solid, rocking 7-song set that featured a great version of Bowie's "The Jean Genie".

Ace's band was a joy to watch a very round show, Chris Wise a great bass player who shined with his bass solo, Scott a powerful and very entertaining drummer to watch, and Mr Richie Scarlet, well he is a legend on his own, besides being an awesome player he is also a tremendous showman. I missed the opening acts due to a prior engagement. Luckily I walked in about 5 minutes before Ace took the stage. The lights went down the band took there spots and Ace appeared counted out 1,2,3,4 and they tore into "Rip It Out". Ace and his band sounded excellent. The setlist was very good. I was surprised by an incredible bass solo by Chris Wyse. Scot Coogan was wicked on drums and vocals during the Paul Stanley songs. Richie Scarlett shredded and was all over the stage. Ace played a lot of hits by KISS in addition to his solo stuff. He did the smoking guitar bit, was very funny in his raps to the audience and left me wanting more. Sober ACE is just fantastic. If you are a KISS fan or an ACE fan DO NOT MISS THIS run of his tour.

Lita Ford looked and played fantastic. Ace has a great band- far better than any version of Kiss. Richy Scarlet (sp?) and Ace make a great power guitar duo. His drummer has an awesome singing voice (better than Paul Stanley) and is perfect for some of the Kiss songs in the show. Ace is playing and singing better than ever. Don't miss his show if you love hard rock!

Awesome show! Extensive set list of solo and KISS stuff. Sounded pretty sharp for the band he is touring with. The drummer did a really good on the KISS vocals for the non-Ace songs. Richie Scarlett looks pretty rough and wanted more of the spotlight. But this was vintage Ace. Playing the smaller venues is great since you can get up close...even get a pick. If you are an Ace fan then you need to see him while he is out not the road.

Ace was incredible. Considering his past, this was one helluva comeback. If you closed your eyes you could swear you were at a KISS show from the late 70's. Songs like King of the Night Time World, Rocket Ride, and Strange Ways were included

I could not believe how good ace played and looked. Talk about an individual making the most of his time as a musician. His playing was tight as he played songs note for note. if you are a fan of Ace or Kiss you will be delighted to see the songs played exactly how you remember and love them. The best part was he played for 2 straight hours, You just don't get that very much anymore.

Still a god after all these years! Ace took the stage by the balls and didn't let it go until you were thoroughly convinced of his rock royalty status. With the exception of "Sister" from 2010's Anomoly disc, Ace didn't play a song released after the "78 solo album. It may sound like a trip down memory lane but what a ride it was! Rocket Ride, Parasite, She, Love Her All I Can, Flaming Youth, Love Gun, Rip It Out, Snowblind-It was a virtual onslaught of all things rock and roll. Anton Fig and Richie Scarlett joined Ace onstage for a heavy but useless version of Foxy Lady( Definitley could've picked a better song) Of course there was New York Groove, Cold Gin and Deuce. A nice suprise encore was "Watching You", which Ace introduced as " a song that Gene used to sing" to which most of the audience responded with 'Fuck Gene!' It was a great night of hearing the classics by the real Ace-not some poser in a Halloween costume playing dress up. Also refreshing to not have to listen to Rock and Roll All Night, God Gave Rock and Roll To You or I Was Made For Loving You.

Great show, and my first concert at House of Blues-Chicago. I was very impressed by the energy of the show and was thrilled to hear him play many songs from his former KISS days. I also look forward to keeping my eye on the House of Blues schedule for upcoming artists as I truly enjoyed the intimate setting.

I've seen Ace as a youngster and as a 51 year old. Like me, Ace is older, he is relaxed. Ace is better than ever. His guitar is clear, constant and beautiful. At a small venue in Beaumont, Texas, Ace was compelling and wholly entertaining. His guitar playing was as always compelling, clean and overwhelming... wow! I miss seeing him already. Kyle

I had the pleasure of seeing Ace Frehley live the other night, and it was a truly awesome experience. I have been a KISS fan for almost 40 years, and until the other night, Ace had been the only member of the original lineup I hadn't seen play live. I was thoroughly impressed by his show, and would definitely love to see him again! Since I've seen Ace on his own, as well as KISS in concert, one notable difference between the two shows was that Ace relied more on the music, and less on the spectacle of the show. All in all, it was a worthwhile concert, and I'm thankful I finally got to see Ace rocking live!!

First, let me say, although I am 50 years old, I never liked KISS much until my youngest son got really into them, especially Ace. So being the loving mother I am as well as a frequent concert goer, I took my 16yo son and his best friend all the way to NYC, got a nice hotel plus Ace Frehley tix, called it their birthday trip. I was prepared to "grin and bear it."Of course the drive was brutal, as expected. But the suburban boys were thrilled at their first trip to Times Square. Door seemed especially early so we ran over about 8 and it was already packed. Ace didn't go on until 9:30, I'm used to this but there were quite a few families there, the rest were men closer to my age. Once his band started, he was great, he played a few new ones plus all his classics we came to hear. He seemed in excellent form to me. I was sad to hear of his illness a week later.

At this point I've lost count how many times I've seen Ace live and at meet and greets. He is keeping the original spirit of Kiss alive more than they do. His playing keeps getting better and better. I would love to see him add more of his own solo stuff as opposed to the Kiss classics. He has written great songs on his own. Anyway, it was a great show. As he played we could tell something might not be right. He was starting to fall off time a little and forgetting lyrics. (More than usual! HA! ) but this seemed different. The next morning the news was sent to me that he was in the hospital. The fact is the man rocked on for all us fans even though he wasn't feeling well. A true Rock Soldier.

Ace and his band came out strong and played most of the songs that you would expect. Hit a bit of a bump during Rocket Ride (I think Ace forgot some words or his place) but the drummer helped recover the situation. Drummer actually OWNED Love Gun. Best I've ever heard it done (sorry Paul, but it's true). As I'm sure everyone will know, there was no encore and come to find out later that Ace needed medical attention. Probably could have picked any number of songs for an encore as he left some good ones out of the set at that point. Ace is back and I recommend checking out this tour.

Ace and the band sounded great! They played an awesome mix of old Kiss songs all the way up to a new song. We never knew until the next day that Ace wasn't feeling well.

1st time going to The Kirby Center in Wilkes Barre, Not a bad venue, A little small but more laid back and enjoyable. Ushers made sure that no one got out of hand and that everyone had a great view of the show. Have always wanted to see Ace live since his "Frehely`s Comet" days and I was not disappointed! Although he has aged a bit, It didn`t take away from his performance on stage. Many others have stated and I would agree that his guitar playing is right now at its peak. I was disappointed that we weren`t treated to an encore, But after I learned he was admitted to a local hospital right after the show for exhaustion and dehydration, It only made me appreciate the performance that much more. If he continues touring, I would recommend anyone who is a fan to see him, You won`t be disappointed....

Great show. Ace was in top form guitar playing wise and with the song selection. We got to hear all the classics like Rock Soldier, NY Groove, Rocket Ride, Shock Me, Cold Gin, Duece, the kick ass Strange Ways from the Hotter Than Hell KISS second album which I love that fuckin' riff. So heavy. He also did a couple of songs off his new covers CD which I can't remember from the drinking I was doing but man he has an amazing backing band. I have to mention his bassist Chris Wise who was phenomenal on bass, Richie Scarlet guitar and vocals and the drummer whose name escapes me at the moment. I have to mention opening band KILLCODE!! Love this band. They rock! They have a new CD coming out and please check them out! Straight up kick ass rock n'roll and the guys are great and down to earth and friendly. I hope these guys make it big because they deserve it. They have the tunes to prove that! Check them out if they are playing near U!

Ace Frehley is a living legend, we all know this. Unfortunately there is not much to prove it on live. Average songs apart from KISS classics, mediocre playing and decent backup band. Pros: + Love Gun + Drummer + Venue Cons: - Ace is defintely not a singer - Not so professional musicianship - Quality of his solo material
